CHICAGO (Feb. 14, 2008) — The Step2 Company, LLC, a leading manufacturer and marketer of high quality products for children and for the home and garden, has named Current Lifestyle Marketing its agency of record for public relations.

"We were impressed with Current Lifestyle Marketing's creativity and track record of reaching mothers of young children, our primary consumer target," said Brian Kirkendall, vice president of marketing at Step2. "Their dedicated Step2 team has already proven to be results-driven and strategic thinkers for our business." Initial work for Step2 began last fall when the agency promoted Step2's "Made in the U.S.A" labeling during the toy safety controversy, securing coverage regarding Step2's leadership in labeling practices through features in the Associated Press and Wall Street Journal. For 2008, the team will focus on reaching key media targets and industry influencers beginning at the annual February Toy Fair in New York, and continuing throughout the year with a pipeline of new product news.
