A few of our Step2 toys have recently been reviewed and approved on the internet, and we'd like to share what these people had to say. Check out the Toy Tips Report that gave our Sand & Water Cart an "A", and also the Classy Mommy review that recommends our Fun Flow Play Sink.

Do you blog? Review the Step2 products you own on your blog and link them to our site! Then, let us know about it and you could be featured in a future "Step2 on the Web" update.

Would you kindly help explain the complaints about the pump and the ON button for the Fun Flow Sink? Is there a recurring problem? Has the problem been addressed? Is it user error? I'm planning to purchase it but have seen very similar complaints on a number of websites. Please respond. Also, I do agree with folks that say that it needs a drain.

Anonymous,

I've checked with our quality control division, and discovered that they have looked into these reports.

1. The prevalence of pump failure is currently very, very low: many returned pumps have been verified to be working properly. Unfortunately, having read reviews of "broken" pumps, many customers return them at any sign of malfunction without properly troubleshooting them. Most problems are resolved by following the steps in our Troubleshooting Guide.

2. Pumps that are indeed defective are replaced free of charge by Step2 by calling 1.800.347.8372.

Thanks for your inquiry, and the suggestion to add a drain!

Regards,

Andy

Thank you for your post. Well, as it turns out, I no longer have to rely on reviews on websites as our own Step2 Fun Flow Sink arrived yesterday. Ours is perfect--good water flow out of the faucet, no problems with turning it on and off and my 21-month-old daughter just had the best time. I know that kids that come over for playdates will enjoy it as well. I will write a good review for this product on this website and others. My husband is thinking about making a drain for it with a rubber stopper of some sort. In addition to the drain, I also suggest a quieter pump in future product releases. We don't have ideas for a workaround solution for that one yet, but it's certainly not a major issue. I would recommend this product time and time again. Overall, I give this product, 4.5 out of 5 stars! Great job, Step2!!!

It's so refreshing to see an American manufacture with a blog!

I have featured Step2 on america.nmade.info/. The address of the exact article is here.

The purpose of my blog is to feature American made products, and so it isn't a review, but a recommendation that people buy American made Step2 toys.

Keep up the great work!
