My son is 13 months old and loves the pans! He bangs them together and has great fun with the spatula and pans. They are much safer for him to play with than my heavy pots/pans made of stainless steel.
They are very safe for children under age 3! I only gave them 4 stars because of the high price.

My daughter loves this set and began playing make believe with it right away. She practices putting the lids on the pans and she uses the utensils to "stir" things in the pots. I am only disappointed that the colors are too muted for my taste. Other than that, very cute and a great value for the price!

I bought this set for my 4 year old son. I like that the Step2 kitchen products are gender neutral. My son says he wants to grow up to be a chef and an astronaut. Sounds like a great combination to me! I love toys that encourage open ended play and group play. Step2 makes great durable toys at a reasonable price. I know when my son is throuh playing with them someone else can benefit from playing with these toys.
