I bought this car for my son for his first Christmas, he was 10 months old. He loved it. We kept the ring on it and would push him around the house. He would laugh and giggle, all smiles. This car worked best for us because the seat hight was shorter than others and our son is a little shorter than others his age. Although I became very unhappy with this car a month later when he wanted to scoot along on his own. We removed the ring but the foot rest was in his way. He can only scoot on it if he sits backwards. So I removed the foot rest then realized the entire handle has to then be removed too. This was not designed to ever have the foot rest removed. I'm not sure how the people that designed this car didn't think of how hard it would be for the little ones to scoot along with the foot rest in the way. Our sons legs aren't long enough for his legs to extend past the foot rest. I am going to have to buy another car for him so he can scoot but still have us push him around, he loves both. If I remove the foot rest from this car so he can scoot then he won't have the handle that he uses to push the car along because he is not walking quite yet. I am not very happy that I feel this car was falsely advertised. I bought a similar ride on car for a friends baby at the same time and it also advertised it as a 4 in 1 and does all the same things only you can flip up the foot rest so the child can scoot. I think step 2 needs to redesign the foot rest part.
This is a great car ride on if you buy it understanding when the child wants to scoot the foot rest might be in the way.

I bought this product because of the versatility...she can ride it, push it or rock on it, looks cute and is not too big.
All was fine until we opened the box and tried to put it together.
It has 8,000 pieces, a gazilion screws, the instructions are the worst I have ever come across. Two college graduates (one an engineer) have spent 3 1/2 hrs trying to get this to work. The snap on pieces don't snap...it needed more than 2 persons full weight to get it to fall in place. The plastic slots for the crews don't align, once you finaly get the screw past the first hole you get stuck because you hit a piece of plastic in the other end that shouldn't be there.
To put together the little axles and the wheels you will need one hr and 2 hamers....and take my word you will need to bang with all you've got....(tip use a tennis ball to hold the axle once you have one wheel in place).
If you could see my living room you would think it is ridiculous....2 hammers, 2 convertible screw drivers, a full set of small srew drivers, pliers, OLIVE OIL, a knife, etc, etc.
Once it is finished you notice that they could have put it in the same box but all ready...it could fit!!!
Bottom line, do not buy this....it will end a marriage...frustrate more than one, damage your floor, your little one will fall a sleep way before the toy is done....you can get soemthing that is fully ensabled for less money.

I have not been able to use the product after purchase, because during construction I found that we were missing parts.
Included in the box was a handwritted checklist stating that all parts were included. The checklist had a signature line, but was not signed by the person checking the parts. What's the point of completing a handwritten checklist with a signature line if you're not going to sign it.
Step 2 does not allow you to request missing parts through their website. You have to call them Monday-Friday 8a-5p. Very antiquated. My suggestion to Step 2 would be either make sure all parts are included in your products or get with the times and allow for missing products to be requested on your website. I should not be able to fill out a survey and complain about a product that I can't even request replacement parts for.

To get the green footrest on, I had to use a pair of pliers to pinch and pry one end of the red "base" up. Once you pinch it thin enough and pry it high enough, the green part will slip over the part on which you worked and the other side will snap in.
Yes, like many others I took way too long trying to figure this part out. I didn't find a problem with the lack of bolt holes. The screws are sharp enough that with some pressure as you turn they easily start to thread into the plastic.

This is seriously the hardest thing I have ever tried to put together - and as a mother of 4, I have put together a lot of toys. Good luck trying to get the pieces to "snap" into place. My husband and I tried for an hour to get the bottom to snap on, and we pushed so hard the plastic gave way. You can't get anywhere if you can't get that stupid green piece to snap on. Can't get through to customer service since they of course are only open until 5pm. Run from this toy and light your money on fire instead.
