We needed to find a sand box or water table that had a cover. My granddaughter's yard is frequented by feral animals. We especially liked the adjustable legs. It will be used in about a year by a younger sibling. This will make it very practical. I do wish that the "bridges" snapped in somehow. They are just resting on the other edges and fall off during play. That's about the only complaint I had.

This table is meant for a smaller child or a toddler. My pre-schooler who is 4 is tal for her age and has to bend over to play in it. Luckily I have 4 children and my baby can use this table when she starts walking. Also the holes where you are suppose to screw in the nails are non-existant so I had to use a knife to poke a hole in the table so that I could screw in the screws. It is a fun table for kids who are small or younger so I would recommend it.

Comments about Step2 Adjustable Sand & Water Table™:

The table and cover are still in good shape after two summers, but the umbrella is in shreds. It is not cost effective to get a replacement umbrella since my granddaughters don't use it much even though it is in a handy location by the pool.

I like that you can have a sand play area without needing the space and yard that a built-in sandbox would require. Great for nice days out on the patio!

Comments about Step2 Adjustable Sand & Water Table™:

Our daughter loves her water table. We use it only for water and it works great. Both basins have plugs for easy draining. The cover stays on, even through strong winds with the bungie cords. Love that the height is adjustable so it grows with our children. Wish the umbrella was a little wider for more coverage in a sunny yard.

          Service and delivery comments:

I would make the umbrella wider to cover the whole table. Really love the bungie-type cords to keep the lid secure.

Kay H: We had the table sent to our granddaughter who lives out of state. Our son did not mention any problems setting the Sand & Water Table up for the children. From the pictures they use the umbrella. The grandchildren 2 & 5 use it a considerable amount of time during the summer according to our daughter-in-law. Sorry I can not be of more help. Jun 6, 2013

Now slide the top part into the white piece and adjust the height. Finally, push the arm back down to lock it into place. You then just slide the umbrella open like any umbrella. Apr 30, 2013

Vivian E: I have a shady patio, and never needed the umbrella. I'm sure you can order a new umbrella. The umbrella seemed big enough for our 3 year old twins. They are usually running to another area to fill the water with toys, mud, rocks, and etc. Jun 4, 2013
