i agree with the first reviewer, needs lights and music, most of the toys have lights and sounds, the drum doesnt have much give either so it doesnt even sound that good when you bang it with the stick. I just dont think its worth [$].

My son received this drum as a gift at Christmas and has barely touched it. I like the simplicity of the design, but I think that may also be the downside for us. He has another drum that lights up and plays music - it does attract his attention and gets a lot of play. The Basic Rhythms drum, unfortunately, is just a dust collector for us.
