This product is definately going to be a hit this year, and Santa better make room on his sleigh. We were very excited to review the Build & Store Block Activity Table by Step2!!As most of you know I have 3 little ones. Ages 7 1/2 yrs, 5 1/2 yrs, and 7 1/2 months old.My son is into the whole Lego craze and my older daughter love the Mega Blocks. This Activity Table is perfect because you are able to use both kinds of blocks on it. My son sets on one side with his Lego's building, and my older daughter sits on the other side building with your Mega Blocks. There is plenty of room for them both to build and create. They have literally used it like crazy since we received it.I didn't tell the kids it was coming because I wanted to see their expressions when it arrived.[...]. My husband saw it on the front porch when he came home. He came in and told the kids there was something on the porch for them. They went running to the door and opened it and there set a box as big as the both of them. Lets just say they were Freaking Out!!!My son said, "Oh my Gosh this is just perfect and I love it!!"My Daughter said, "Mommy can we open it Now!!!"We brought it in and of course starting opening the box and putting it together. It came with all the pieces, instructions, and hardware to put it together. The instructions walked us right through it and within about 10-15 minutes we had it together. I let the kids help me in the process. The pieces slid right in and then you attach it all with a few screws. I used a battery powered screw gun to make the process go a little quicker then having to do it by hand. Once it was put together we carried it upstairs to our loft and off the kids ran. My older two children ran to their rooms to get their blocks and they both sat down and immediately got busy creating all kinds of things with their blocks. We also love doing art projects and this table is perfect for this too!!! You just remove the lego boards and two blue seperating sections off the top of the table or you can leave the blue sections on their for supplies. There is plenty of room for papers, etc for them to create all kinds of Art Projects. My kids Love the Table and I know they are going to get alot of use out of it!!! I personally Love it too!! It fits right up against the wall so it doesn't get in the way. Provides room for them to sit and play/create with each other or by themselves. I am all about organization and this Table is top notch in that area. All the bins and shelves allow my kids to keep everything in order and seperated. Instead of all over my house. I am very pleased with this item and Highly Recommend it to other families that have little ones. One very happy Parent,Amber / Wahm Connect

Everything was ok, but by the time I finally opened the box it wasn't very well packed, and one Bin tray and other blue tray came broken... I asume that this won't happen if you use Styrofoam or plastic foam...

    Now my kid is sad...

    Can you help me?

My grandson loves to read, draw and put things together. He has an extensive supply of Legos at our house and loves playing with them. The build and store activity table is perfect for all of these activities and it also is a perfect place to store his materials when not in use.

          Great Multi-Use Table

Comments about Step2 Build & Store Block & Activity Table:

I bought this for my two kids who are almost three and six years old. It was easy to assemble, though I did use a power drill for the last of the screws, when my hand gave out using the manual screwdriver. I love that it comes with the lego baseplates and can easily be used for legos or art, two things my kids love.
Pros: It's plenty of space for two kids to work. The surface wipes clean of paint easily with water. The storage underneath is great, as are the marker cups on top. I love the ridge on top that keeps crayons from rolling onto the floor.
Cons: If you don't have the blue trays in, little things can fall in the cracks and are difficult to retrieve. It would be nice if it came with plugs to use when not using the trays.
Note: This only comes with one stool.
I took off one star for the stuff getting stuck in the cracks, because I've spent a fair amount of time fishing tiny legos out of there, trying not to resort to dumping the whole table upside down.
Overall, this is a solid product I see us using for years. It's sturdy and very versatile.

Joyce C. M: Yes, it does. While I have your attention I have a question for you. Some years ago I bought for my grandchildren an 18 x 18 block table with a grid on top so the children can build out of Lego's marvelous structures. Why did you discontinue manufacturing such great child pleaser. I have 12 grandchildren and all love that table. Perhaps you will reconsider that decision to discontinue that item, you would make many children realize their creativity with Lego's. Just asking. Thanks for your time. Mar 29, 2014

Krystle R asked: The description references compatibility with MEGA Bloks. Are the plates compatible with the MEGA Blok First Builders (the larger blocks)? Nov 23, 2014

Jodi W: Hi We bought this for our youngest son so he could have his own "homework" spot. We used mega blocks and Legos on the building plates. The plates are definetly grooved with the smaller "lego block" circles however I think the large blocks worked on there as well, they just snap over more circles. We still have this table and my still love it! They color, paint or play on it with clay dough. They also love to play school with it. I wanted to give it to my nephew and they still could not part with it. It is one of those things that kids can enjoy for a long time, I really did not realize this at first. My son is now 7 and he still enjoys this desk. A smart, useful and creative choice. Nov 23, 2014
