We use the choo choo wagon almost daily for our walks. We have taken it out occasionally to run errands. Each child has their own car so that they have their own space. I wish that every car had storage under the seat rather than just one car. The cup holders are neat because they also hold a rectangular base juice box. I was very impressed with the wheels. I thought they were rubber, but they are a hard plastic, not like the old plastic ones that are loud and rough riding. I purchased the Radio Flyer clip on umbrellas for each car. It makes the ride comfortable for the children since they can be adjusted to avoid direct sunlight.

My grandkids took their first ride in this yesterday. It's colorful and very cute. They loved it.

Each car is supposed to hold up to 50 lbs. I'm sure that is true. However, my 2 grandsons, weighing 39 lbs. and 29 lbs., have no room for their feet! They squirmed constantly trying to get comfortable because of the lack of feet room. I'm hoping when the weather warms up, they can take their shoes off and the ride will be more comfortable.

The design seems to be very good, but apparently no one gave thought to the fact that kids have feet! Right now it's new and the problem seems minimal to them. I'm hoping that in a few months when it's not new anymore, the lack of feet room still won't be a problem.

I would recommend this to a friend, with a warning about the design.

I am a mother of 5 boys(4 of which are all under 4) including twins and I was thrilled to get this product. I love everything about it except the turn radius and that when you have a lot of weight in all the trains it makes it difficult to pull on hills. The kids on the other had prefer to ride in the Choo Choo wagon over our double wagon because they get to sit in their own part.

Cristy W: We have a 2 year old, 1 year old and new baby coming in a month. We regularly take boys on outings and push 2 separate cozy cars (which they love). Since there are only 2 parents in this family, we needed to be able to pull 3 around at a time. On every multiple blog site we have found, parents rave about the Choo-Choo as a must have. When I saw the combo on sale with free shipping, I couldn't pass it up. Thanks Step 2 for making great products, in the USA, that kids and parents love. Apr 21, 2013
Gary S: Our niece and nephews have one and love it. We needed one for our kids. Apr 13, 2013

          Guy I: Its cool Apr 9, 2013
Heather M: because I need it for 3 children and I only have strollers for 2...this is PERFECT!! Apr 8, 2013
Jaclyn T: My daycare kids will love the idea of having their own wagon, not to mention they're part of a train! Fun idea! Apr 7, 2013
ELIZABETH R: I have triplets, and I'm hoping this will be great to use now that the weather is getting warmer. Apr 7, 2013
Karla H: For my grand daughters birthday present and my daughters daycare Apr 6, 2013
Noelle E: I have 3 children, 2.5 year old twins and an 18 month old. Triple strollers are too hard to get through doorways, etc and so we use a wagon most places we go. We needed something that would fit all 3 kids and this was the perfect solution! Apr 4, 2013
Barbara F: Birthday present for my grandkids-triplets Apr 4, 2013
Brittany G: I have 3 under 3 - 5 month old twins and a 26 month old so this looks like it will solve logistical transport issues for me. We will see. Apr 3, 2013
Stacy M: Three toddlers under the age of 2. Apr 3, 2013
Heather M: I chose this to make taking walks with my daycare kids hopefully easier. I have one child who tends to be a biter and the fact that the kids have thier own space really appealed to me. I am hoping it is easy to pull and that the kids will enjoy it. And if all goes well I may add on 1 or 2 compartments as I have 4-6 kids that are in my care almost daily. Apr 2, 2013
Anne T: It will be perfect for my daycare kids. Mar 29, 2013
          Katherine S: I have three toddlers. Mar 28, 2013
Donna F: For my Day care so we can get and and go for walks with everyone Mar 27, 2013
Beverly R asked: I want to get this for my triplett grandsons. I see that there are only 3 cars but I want an extra one for there stuff for now or a brother or sister later.
How do I go about ordering an extra one or two cars for the wagon trolley? What part do I ask for? How much? Would I be better off buying 2 complete 3- car wagons ?

JAmie P: I have tripletes that are three years old. I have the choo choo train combo with three seats. You really can't add a fourth seat to the train. I can tell you from experience pulling three kids will get heavy enough. We got a back pack that we used for carrying stuff and that worked out well. As they got heavier we actually took an empty back pack and looped bungee cords so that you could wear the back pack and pull the wagon. It was a lot easier to pull that way. I loved the wagon it was a great purchase. If you really want another wagon for stuff I would just get another single wagon versus buying another triple wagon.

When ordering I think the website giving you an option to order the wagon with three seats. I have the red blue and orange one.

Pedro F: I have the complete choo choo train combo for my triplets, the last wagon it seems to have the preparation to add another wagon, but I do not recommend to make it a four wagon train, because I think it would become a little heavy to move 4 kids, and also, the turns of the train would become a little complicated. I have used this train on the park, but also on the supermarket (I have some kind of a belt that i attach to the train), and with 3 wagons is the perfect size to do the turns on aisles. If space is your concern, let me tell you the firs wagon has some space under the seat to keep little toys, but in the wagon theres enough space to carry a ballon, my kids do that :) Apr 14, 2013

James R: I would go with the 2 add-on wagon trailers instead of buying whole other wagon. They sell them right here and it should actually be one of the links you can click on somewhere nearby normally :) The first two cars don't come apart, so you'd be stuck pulling 2 different wagons, and both full. That's a lot of strain on both arms. My SIL owns an older choo choo wagon, and when I've watched her little ones, we've borrowed her add-on which works with my newer one. It's compatible, and pulling one that's a little bit heavier is way better IMO, than pulling 2. Apr 11, 2013

          Alan J: Beverly,

I have triplet sons also. We bought one of these a couple years ago and we absolutely love it. We just have the 3 seats, we did not buy the 4th one because it would not fit in our car then. From what research I did the wagon could have up to 5 sections. The first 2 come together and the the orange one snaps into the bottom and you are ready to go. If you need a 4th one just do the same thing into that one i guess. It is well worth the money.

Elizabeth S: We have a daycare and we purchased 2 extra wagons for that reason....we can manuever through the grocery store and our local bank. We live in a very small town of 2000plus and it was nice to see people stop my husband and comment how nice to see him out again with the kids....We highly recommend this combo and the added wagons. We purchased this product from Step 2 on-line along with the other added wagons. Have fun with your Choo Choo Train and its a great workout. Apr 11, 2013

Melanie B: The wagon is only 2 cars. You will also need to buy the choo-choo trailer which is the yellow car. So you would need 2 trailers. I don't think buying 2 wagons would work because of the handle. There would be no way to connect them. My daughter has a set of twins and then another child that is about 16 mos older. They LOVE it! They've definitely gotten my money's worth! Apr 13, 2013

Lisa S: Bought this for my daughter's wedding as she had 3 babies in her bridal party. We love it! I'm not sure if you could buy an extra car but Step II should be able to answer that question. We also have another wagon which is much better for stuff, especially if you use it for the beach! Hope this helps Apr 11, 2013

Brenda N: There is a trailer that they sell to go with this train wagon....I would buy that. It is green I believe and a bit smaller then then the cars or you could buy another car to attach. Apr 11, 2013

Golda A asked: Can you add more wagon sections to this? I work at a Preschool and have 20 four & five year olds (at full capacity). I would like to purchase a wagon so we can walk to the local park, about 1 & 1/2 miles from our center. I'm curious if they would be durable enough for that kind of ride and also how many I would need to get to comfortably walk with them. Do you think it would be easy to pull 4 wagons with 5 "cars"? Ami S: We have only two wagons (four total spots) on ours and it does really well with those. I would think adding extra wagons would work well.

We had the original choose choose wagon and could not find the wagon attachments. We bought the new design for the extra spaces.

The wagons lock in tightly to the main wagon and onto each other. I would not go to long as it may get cumbersome to turn/pull. I love this wagon and have been extremely happy with our purchase. I hope this helps.

Adrian W: Yes you can add more wagons (blue car) it is a really solid wagon. We bought one for our daycare for the same reason. Everyone loves it. It one kid per car, bout two small kids can fit in one. It's really heavy duty and bulky. Takes up a good amout of space. I would not leave it outside as it is colored plastic and it will fade. sherry M: Yes you can add more. We have 3.5 yr old triplets plus a 5 yr old. It is getting pretty heavy to pull them all though. Apr 4, 2013

Julie T: Hi Golda, the wagon train is great, Niti think it would be rather hea y and ungainly to pull for that distance. Apr 4, 2013

Manuela L: It appears you can add on to the third cart. However, I don't think that it would be easy to maneuver especially with 4-5 year olds. I would say it's more for 2-4 year olds. A 4-5 year old would not have much leg room. With five 4-5 year olds, your talking about 200 lbs. I think you have a good idea, but I don't know if this is your best option. At that age, kids are outgrowing this wagon. I have two girls one is three and the other one turned five one week ago. Both of average size. For a while now, we have only been using this with our three year old. Our five year old will rather walk. Hope this helps Apr 7, 2013

Jamey C asked: I have a 6 year old, 4 year old and 1 year old. My 6 year old has cerebral palsy and can walk ok but not long distances. She is probably 3.5 feet tall and weighs 40 lbs. I need something to take for walks. Is my 6 year old too big for this to ride comfortably? May 13, 2013

Teresa E: I think she probably would. My oldest (nearly 5 yr) rider is 42" tall and 36lb, and she fits comfortably and has about 2 inches clearance in front of her knees. Also, pulling 3 children will be harder work for the parent but tolerable on a smooth surface; I do like the quiet tires. May 14, 2013

Ann W: I have 2 6 year olds and a 5 year old and they all weigh between 38-48 lbs. They fit in it fine...much more room then in a regular wagon because they each have their own space! This is probably our last year using it though.... May 14, 2013

Carli N: I think she would be able to fit, my petite 7 yo niece fits for walks around the neighborhood. It may get heavy if you have all three kids in the wagon. May 14, 2013

Adrian W: I do not think so, I have had two kids in one cart. The carts are wide and the feet area is lower than the seat. I should be ok. May 14, 2013
