We use the choo choo wagon almost daily for our walks. We have taken it out occasionally to run errands. Each child has their own car so that they have their own space. I wish that every car had storage under the seat rather than just one car. The cup holders are neat because they also hold a rectangular base juice box. I was very impressed with the wheels. I thought they were rubber, but they are a hard plastic, not like the old plastic ones that are loud and rough riding. I purchased the Radio Flyer clip on umbrellas for each car. It makes the ride comfortable for the children since they can be adjusted to avoid direct sunlight.

My grandkids took their first ride in this yesterday. It's colorful and very cute. They loved it.

Each car is supposed to hold up to 50 lbs. I'm sure that is true. However, my 2 grandsons, weighing 39 lbs. and 29 lbs., have no room for their feet! They squirmed constantly trying to get comfortable because of the lack of feet room. I'm hoping when the weather warms up, they can take their shoes off and the ride will be more comfortable.

The design seems to be very good, but apparently no one gave thought to the fact that kids have feet! Right now it's new and the problem seems minimal to them. I'm hoping that in a few months when it's not new anymore, the lack of feet room still won't be a problem.

I would recommend this to a friend, with a warning about the design.

Great Product. Easy to assemble and the kids love it. My kids wanted to keep it after we put it together but it was a present for their cousins upon the arrival of their third baby. All of my neighbors thought this was the best wagon set up ever. Each kid has their own space, cup holder, seat belt and they feel like they are on a train. Even with two kids having the third car would be super useful to carry extra stuff to the playground or around the neighborhood. To my surprise, the turning ability of this wagon is excellent. Highly recommend this product.

I love that this can pull 3 children even infants in their car seats set inside. More durable than a stroller and cheaper! It's a great way to get around the neighborhood. Needs a wide turning area. Wish the front wheels rotated. Also wish each seat had a hidden storage area. Love that each seat has a drink holder. Looking to add another wagon so I can pull 4 kids.

I want to get this for my triplett grandsons. I see that there are only 3 cars but I want an extra one for there stuff for now or a brother or sister later.
How do I go about ordering an extra one or two cars for the wagon trolley? What part do I ask for? How much? Would I be better off buying 2 complete 3- car wagons ?
        Beverly R on Apr 10, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I have tripletes that are three years old. I have the choo choo train combo with three seats. You really can't add a fourth seat to the train. I can tell you from experience pulling three kids will get heavy enough. We got a back pack that we used for carrying stuff and that worked out well. As they got heavier we actually took an empty back pack and looped bungee cords so that you could wear the back pack and pull the wagon. It was a lot easier to pull that way. I loved the wagon it was a great purchase. If you really want another wagon for stuff I would just get another single wagon versus buying another triple wagon.

When ordering I think the website giving you an option to order the wagon with three seats. I have the red blue and orange one.
How high does the handle reach? Could a 6'4" person comfortably walk with this, or would they be leaning down awkwardly to pul the cars along?
        Margaret on May 29, 2013
BEST ANSWER: This will be just fine for anyone 6' 4"!!!!! The wagon is the best investment I have every made..... A little hard for me around turns. We love it and so do my grandchildren!!!!
I have quadruplet grandbabies just turning one year old....they are not sitting well as yet, but wondering for future if a fourth car could be added? ...this is so very cute and would love for them to have it when they are able to sit better...bought a quad stroller for this year's birthday, but my husband saw someone with triplets in this at Walmart today and told me about it. Thanks.
        Becky U on Nov 8, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Congratulations! What fun you will have. We have triplet grandbabies and I bought the double plus a single cart to add on the back. Each 'car' has it's own seat belt and drink holder. The boys LOVE it! It does get quite heavy to pull when they get older (ours are 2+ now) so my husband pushes from the back with a broom. Also, we are all quite tall and the handle could be a little longer. But I would highly recommend this product. Great quality. Hours of fun. Hope this helps.
What is the youngest age you have used this for? I was wondering if I would be able to use this for an 8 month old? Thanks!
        J Pritchard on Aug 22, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I use my choo choo for daycare. I wouldn't recommend putting an 8 month old in it without some type of other support. If he/she can sit well without any help at all, it might be ok. I put my smaller children in their carseat and put the car seat in the wagon. It fits great and it worked perfect for us. Some car seats are smaller than others so they fit much more safely.
Does the Choo Choo Train combo come complete with 3 separate cars, suitable for triplets?
        A shopper on Jun 7, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes. Notice this is the 'combo'. You do have the option to buy it with just 2 cars. I would buy the the combo bc every child wants to ride or you could store belongings in the last one. The yellow car is detachable and is fairly east to take on and off.

I HIGHLY recommend this product!!! but only if you like attention bc you will get it wherever you bring it.
What kind of tires does this wagon have? Are they plastic or rubber. Noisy???? Durable???
        Kay E on Oct 29, 2013
BEST ANSWER: They are plastic. No problems with them so far. They are alittle noisy.

I would say the main thing I would tell you about this item is that it is heavy (Not accounting for the weight of children). I found it much heavier than a regular two seater wagon. It can be difficult to pull with the weight of three children it it.
How does well does this work on curbs and up hilly streets? Does the cart ever detach? How well does all three carts fit in a minivan for transport.
-Mom of five; 3 under 2
        Denise V on Mar 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: We like it. The kids love it. But, it is hard to pull up hill. We have used it the most on our 2 acre lot, pulling them around through the grass and on the gravel drive. It can be a work out after a while because our lot isn't level. (which has been good for me after have 3 little ones back to back, they are 4, 3 and almost 2) It comes apart between the last cart, so it is still pretty bulky if you are putting it in a car. The few times that we have taken it somewhere, we have used the hitch shelf on the back of our Ford Flex. It is easy to take apart here and has NEVER come apart accidentally. Pulls very easily on flat smooth surfaces (awesome at the mall). We probably wouldn't take it to our zoo though, because even though the trails are asphalt it is very hilly and this thing has no brakes. The seat belts are great (must have with my crew) and the drink holders very handy. It would be nice to have a storage compartment in each cart, so that each kid had a place for a few diapers and a change of clothes. Because there is no back or headrest, using it for anything more than an hour or so is also a bad idea. Overall, we have been pleased with our purchase and would recommend to others. If we lived in a neighborhood or subdivision with sidewalks and flat streets, it would get a lot more use.
what is the max carts you can attach onto this wagon?
        Danniel on May 15, 2014
BEST ANSWER: We have just the 3 and our kids weigh about 90 pounds collectively. I think that we will be able to pull it for another 6 months-1 year before it gets too heavy to pull our 3 year old twins and our almost 2 year old. I have seen 4 cars, but I imagine that they couldn't use it for quite as long as we have. You need to be strong, but the smiles you get from everyone as you walk through the city will be worth it! It's also difficult to store in a car the more carts you add, but we just use it to walk in our neighborhood.
Can you get a shade or umbrella to go with the choo choo wagon combo?
        Mary M on Jun 5, 2013
BEST ANSWER: No, I havent found anything that helps :( they dont sell one here, and I havent found anything I could adapt. I just use it when it isnt very sunny or I put caps on my kids. Hope I helped you.
I have a 6 year old, 4 year old and 1 year old. My 6 year old has cerebral palsy and can walk ok but not long distances. She is probably 3.5 feet tall and weighs 40 lbs. I need something to take for walks. Is my 6 year old too big for this to ride comfortably?
        Jamey C on May 13, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I think she probably would. My oldest (nearly 5 yr) rider is 42" tall and 36lb, and she fits comfortably and has about 2 inches clearance in front of her knees. Also, pulling 3 children will be harder work for the parent but tolerable on a smooth surface; I do like the quiet tires.
My daughter has twin sons and a daughter. What is the difference between two cars and the trailer or just ordering three cars? Is there an advantage to one over the other?
        Judy M on Nov 1, 2013
BEST ANSWER: The base of the Choo Choo wagon is two cars that are somewhat permanently attached to one another. The remaining cars attach but can be removed. If I'm understanding the question correctly, the benefit to ordering the Choo Choo wagon as opposed to the wagon that seats two children together plus trailer is that the Choo Choo wagon safely seats one child in each car. The wagon has the added trailer for cargo only and does not safely hold a child. You will notice that the trailer does not c
I need a wagon that will hold my three children (4 years old, 3 years old and 1 year old) and while this one seems like my best bet, I was really hoping to get one with a canopy. Do you know of any canopies that work with this model? Thank you so much!
        A shopper on Apr 9, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I have this for my triplets, and I dont think theres a canopy that could fit this train. But I do think this is your best choice, my kids love it.
        Does it ever tip over?
        A shopper on Jul 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No, it has never tipped over. I bought the chop chop wagon for my 3 grandchildren for Christmas 2014.(two 2 year old and one 3 year old. ) it has been used ALOT. The children Love it and even climb in and out by themselves with no problems.
I have twin grandchildren X2...all boys age 9 months and 2 years (yes...I know--crazy!) Is it possible to get this with 4 cars?
        Grammy on Jan 5, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Wowzer! Are they all one child's kids?
I'm not sure if they sell single cars but you could attach it if they did. Just might make it harder to pull
Can you have more than 3 cars on the train or can you buy and attach as amanu as you want ?
        Jesika L on Jul 6, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I have 4 cars attached to mine and can easily add more. I will say that it can take a lot of effort to pull 4 older kids. I have a daycare and usually pull kids ages 1 -3 with no problem. I had a day where I took four kids all age 3 and the wagon was pretty challenging to pull.
I have had a choo choo wagon for 3 years and I love it. I was wondering if there is any umbrellas or canopy that I can get for the wagons? thank you. Jackie
        Jackie on Jun 22, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes, we had triplets in the choo choo and bought Radio Flyer brand red/white stripe clip-on umbrellas for each car. It worked great! It barely clips on there, but it works. The clip is like the large one on a clip-on fan. Wish I still had mine to sell you. Good luck!
can I order one more wagon to make it for 4 kids?
        sean k on Feb 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, additional Choo Choo Trailers can attach to the Choo Choo Train Combo.
What is the weight limit per car?
        A shopper on Jan 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The maximum weight limit per car is 50 lbs.
what age is this product recommend for?

Can you add more wagon sections to this? I work at a Preschool and have 20 four & five year olds (at full capacity). I would like to purchase a wagon so we can walk to the local park, about 1 & 1/2 miles from our center. I'm curious if they would be durable enough for that kind of ride and also how many I would need to get to comfortably walk with them. Do you think it would be easy to pull 4 wagons with 5 "cars"?

BEST ANSWER: We have only two wagons (four total spots) on ours and it does really well with those. I would think adding extra wagons would work well.

We had the original choose choose wagon and could not find the wagon attachments. We bought the new design for the extra spaces.

The wagons lock in tightly to the main wagon and onto each other. I would not go to long as it may get cumbersome to turn/pull. I love this wagon and have been extremely happy with our purchase. I hope this helps.
