We received these as a gift and my daughter really started playing with them when she was around 3 months old. The black and white patterns attracted her attention and the extra "do-dads" help her grab onto the blocks. I like that they are soft so when she flips over from her back to her tummy she can safely roll on these without the risk of hurting herself. She is 6 months old now and is now discovering all the different textures. I love that this toy has longevity.
