We bought this for my daughter for her first birthday. She loves playing with water so when I came across this toy I knew she would love it. I was a bit concerned about some of the negative reviews concerning the pump breaking. But I knew Step2 would send a replacement pump if it did break so we got it for her. She is now 2 1/2 years old and still loves to play with it. We have not had any issues with this toy at all. The pump works fine. Water flow from the faucet is good. I appreciate how the accessories hang onto the lip of the sink. The only downside if any is expect to have water on the ground. We put towels on the floor to soak up any water she spills onto the floor when she plays with it so she won't slip on the floor. I would suggest using this toy inside. A lot of the negative reviews about the pump breaking and water flow issues came from people who used this toy outside where inevitably dirt and grass will get in it. FYI: We have the version with the electronic motor not the manual pump.

This sink has been very frustrating for us. Our kids love it, but it has never worked for more than an hour. For the first summer, we were able to get it working again but completely taking it apart and putting it back together (tedious job with several tiny screws) before it began making a horrendous sound and stopped pumping water completely. I called Step 2 and they sent a new pump. This time we went through the same thing, but it stopped pumping much sooner--after only a couple of weeks. I called Step 2 again and was told they'd send me "one more" in a tone that suggested that I might be the problem. We just installed the newest pump and got the same noise with no pumping. Then I turned it on again and it worked. I thought, "Hurray!" and turned it off. The next day we had a play date and it worked for five minutes before giving out and making the sound. Now I'm convinced it can't be the pump, but doubt Step 2 wants to hear from me again. I'm very frustrated...we have over 1K in Step 2 toys in our back yard. Normally I love the quality. This sink is such a disappointment and the kids love playing with it so much. Oh, and several times we also had the stuck button issue that I heard others mention.

Comments about Step2 Fun Flow Play Sink:

My daughter received this as a gift because she loves outdoors, water and anything she can make a mess with! LOL! She was excited about playing with it and filling it with water but, the pump just has never worked right. There is one of these at daycare and they had the same issues.I read other reviews of the same issue and replacement parts beings sent and I have not contacted Step 2 for ours yet so, I am looking forward to whether or not I will get a replacement with ease. It is made sturdy for the sink part but, the faucet just is a pain and was difficult for my daughter to press when it WAS working. Now it is just a piece that she gets frustrated at and cries for us to fix and we can't. I would not recommend this item to others if they are wanting a working sink and would recommend a simple water table instead.

I wanted to love this, but it just missed the mark. Ours was so loud and the faucet kept falling out. It came with missing parts, but Step2 was great about sending them right out to us.

Comments about Step2 Fun Flow Play Sink:

The sink is great size and the the idea is fantastic. I ordered mine thinking it was the battery operated model and was so disappointed to find out it was a manual pump. The pump is a joke. If you want just a sink, this is fantastic. If you want a faucet that flows skip this and look somewhere else.

Comments about Step2 Fun Flow Play Sink:

I wanted to write this review because of so many of the negative comments. First, I did not expect to receive this particular toy but due to a misunderstanding with the grandparents, my twin toddlers received this for their 2nd birthday. The twins LOVE playing with water and this is like a giant birdbath for them. They used to almost fit inside it, and would try to crawl in, but now they content themselves with splashing themselves and others with it and washing and dunking their toys inside. This tub is very sturdy and well built (even if I put it together myself), especially in comparison to the other water table they received from an alternate manufacturer. The Other table's legs are wobbly and the tower snapped off as soon as a child pushed on it. This sink, while having less bells and whistles, really feels like it's going to live forever. That said, the pump/faucet on this is a bit of a pain. It takes some strength to push down and so my girls beg a handy adult to stand by and pump it for them continuously. Not my favorite thing to do, but the pump is still working just fine and this is the second season of use. So, if you realize that this is, essentially, a big tub with a hand pump attached then you understand what you're getting. An electric pump would be nice, but since this would add a lot of safety hazards I can see why they did not go with that sort of design.
