This kitchen is absolutely adorable! We love it. We set up Christmas Eve, with a big red bow, for our 2 1/2 yr. old daughter to wake up to on Christmas morning. She saw it, and we couldn't get her out of it, to even open her other presents. She loves the little burner that boils and sizzles, that's her favorite part. She sits on the little stool in front of the stove, and "cooks." It is so cute! Assembly was extremely easy, as the instructions were great. All the accessories are wonderful, tons of food, pans and dishes. There are only a few things I was disappointed with; there were a couple of big scratches on the countertops, it's like somebody with a box cutter must have cut them before boxing them up. I read other reviews where people mentioned this, but I was hoping I would luck out. But they aren't that noticeable, as the counters are maroonish. There should be more storage space under the stove, like there is above the fridge. The kitchen looks bigger in the Step 2 picture, then it really is, but it is still big enough. And for the price of the kitchen, I think it should be a bit heavier. The plastic isn't as thick as I thought it would be. But maybe it was made that way, so it could be moved around more easily. All in all, it is really great, and I do most definitely recommend it, but for younger children, probably 3 to 5, as the counters are not that tall, they are about perfect height for my daughter who is almost 37" tall. She can sit on the stool, or stand, and play comfortably. Not for older children, it would just be too small. I'm adding a picture of Lily in her kitchen, so you can compare the size for your own child.

I really like this kitchen (as does my 1-yr old daughter), but similar to other users' comments the assembly was not as represented...I had no problem following the directions but at least a dozen holes needed to be drilled, despite the fact that the instructions indicated holes should have already been there. (There were indentations where the holes SHOULD have been but apparently they were missed in production.) Fortunately I had someone who could drill them for me but, if not, what would someone do? Re-package and ship back 2 huge boxes?? I was very frustrated that based on other user comments[...] it seems this has been a problem for quite a while, but Step2 hasn't done anything to remedy the issue.

My grandson loves his kitchen. It is wonderful in developing imagination small motor skills. He is eighteen months old and plays with his older sister making sandwiches and cooking for her. Construction was difficult because the screw marks were indentations rather than pre screwed holes. This caused having to use an electric screw driver.

That's the best gift we gave to our daughter. She was only 1 year old, and she plays with it everyday! Now that she is 3 1/2 we had to buy it again for the new home!

It is the best play kitchen you can get. Spacious, very realistic, and great for both genders and all ages. We have had ours for two years, and still love it just as much.

We bought this for our daughter last Christmas when she was 2. The look on her face Christmas morning was priceless and she played in her kitchen for 2 straight hours that morning. She has had her kitchen for about a year now and she still plays in it every day. Step 2 really thought of everything when they made this kitchen. It is very well made and so many details that make it seem like a real kitchen. This was a great purchase.

I am thinking about purchasing this item, but I cannot seem to find if any accessories are included, like the coffe pot, or the pans? Can anyone answer this for me?
        A shopper on Apr 22, 2013
BEST ANSWER: All of the accessories were included in ours that we bought 2 years ago. The coffee pot, pots and pans, some spices, plates, bowls, cups, and utensils. Also, a metal spaghetti spoon, metal spatula, and two other metal utensils that also hang above the stove. It had a salt and pepper shaker and also that pepper grinder thing...I don't know what it's called. It also came with an oven mitt. Hope this helps! My
Do the burners on this kitchen make any special noises when you place the frying pan on them? What about noises from other parts of the kitchen? I love the design, but the noises drive me crazy.
        A shopper on Mar 28, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I bought this kitchen set for my son for his 2nd birthday. He is four now and doesn't play with it much anymore, but my 19 month daughter loves it. The burner makes a frying pan noise and lights up when you set a pan on it. There is a phone that has buttons that makes noise, and the microwave has buttons that make noise. The noises aren't that loud, and I don't find them annoying at all.
Is this product easy to disassemble? If so how would I do so?
        Leigh on Apr 3, 2013
BEST ANSWER: There are 6 screws you can undo to disassemble this. Basically two screws per top arch, and two screws for the counter. These three pieces are what connect the two sides. It's not too hard.
Is this an outside play kitchen?
        A shopper on Dec 6, 2013
BEST ANSWER: While the kitchen is very sturdy and durable, I would not recommend that it be used outside. There are several stickers as well as multiple things that make sound (battery operated). I think that moisture, extreme heat and/or cold could damage these areas.
does this piece come with the stool?
        A shopper on Dec 14, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I ordered one last year for Christmas and it came with the stool. There is a lot of assembly with it, but it is absolutely worth the effort! My 8 year old and 4 year old play with it every day!
Does this play kitchen have a realistic burner that lights up or makes sounds?
        Kimberley S on Jun 23, 2013
BEST ANSWER: It sure does! You put the sauce pan or frying pan on the burner and it makes "cooking" noises and lights up orange. It is so cool! You have to use the pots/pans that come with it for it to work. This kitchen is so awesome and so worth the money!!!
HI ! I really love this walk in kitchen design .
I want buy this walk in kitchen for my bf a daughter 4Th birthday .
But , she is 42 inch tall now its would be small for her play with this walk kitchen ?
And this walk kitchen size will not fit her soon i think . and seem most review is bought this walk in kitchen for 1- 3 old kids .

I'm sorry I'm bad with english , But hope get advice here .
        Thank you !
        A shopper on Mar 31, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I bought this product for my 1 year old twin grandchildren. They will be three in June and still love this kitchen. They are tall but not 4 years old so I cannot be sure if her height will be an issue. I do think children, girls & boys enjoy play kitchens long after 4 years old.
Your English is wonderful. I would be very proud of myself if I could express myself in a second language as well as you have.
Does the kitchen set has oven and dish washer? or just microwave, refrigerator and stove? Also how is it compare to step2 deluxe kitchen? could anybody tell...
        Hami A on Nov 21, 2013
BEST ANSWER: There is a sink but not a "dishwasher" I checked online to look at the deluxe kitchen and it doesn't have a dishwasher either. Both have pretty much the same things except I like the Grand Kitchen better because it is like a little "room" due to the way you walk into it and it is sort of self contained. I have a big box of all the kitchen stuff that I put into the walking space when they aren't playing in it and no mess seen. The deluxe kitchen is all laid out so if you have a wall to put it up against that's great. I'd be compelled to tidy up the kitchen more though because it becomes part of the room decor. That's just me though. They are both nice. It was a hard decision for me between the two but I'm glad I picked the Grand Walk-In. :-) It has a little counter for "diners" to sit at and receive their "food" and It's fun to lay a blanket over the top and they play like its a fort. All my kids play in it. 2 boys and a little girl who it was purchased for. Good luck to you!
Can the Grand Walk in Kitchen be left outside during a California winter--no snow, but rain?
        Donna G on Aug 7, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Should not be a problem. I have bought 2 of these kitchens for 2 different grandchildren. One went to a child in Southern California (Carlsbad and then moved to Temecula) Stayed on their covered patio without any problems. They have had it for almost 3 years now.
Is it possible to leave off the top arches? I am worried that my older kids won't fit in it. It's a present for my 3 year olds, but my older kids will want to use it at least. Thanks.
        Carolyn on Nov 15, 2013
BEST ANSWER: You can remove the arches. Simply remove the four screws that secure them in place and they pop out, or do not install them. The kitchen is stable either way. Our triplet girls are 3.5 y/o now and that's a good idea to remove them, thank you!

        ~Maxwell H
Has anyone tried using this as an outside play piece?
        A shopper on May 5, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes, my daughter-in-law moves kitchen from indoor play area to outside and to children's bedroom. I bought this as a 1st b-day gift - best gift ever. Twins turning three in June and little one year old brother play in it daily.

BEST ANSWER: I purchased this kitchen for my daughter who is approx 37 inches. She is 4 in one month but on the smaller side. She LOVES this kitchen. However, the top is actually open so the child would only have to hunch when entering & exiting. My friends older children enjoy playing w/ this kitchen as well. Some hunch, some kneel. I see this kitchen as long lasting.
Hello! How many of you had missing screw holes and did the plates that were included fit in the cabinets?
        D K on Jul 28, 2013
BEST ANSWER: We did not have any missing screw holes. All the plates and accessories fit well into cabinets, drawers and on display. Some of the food did not fit but we made a fruit basket to sit on the counter to make it all look neat at clean up time.
What is the weight limit for the stool that comes with the Step 2 Grand walk-in kitchen?
        A shopper on Apr 26, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I can't say a weight limit exactly, but I have sat on the stool myself and it was fine. So it's able to support an adult. It's pretty sturdy.
