My 3 year old son received this for his birthday. He loves it!! There was some minor assembly involved but very easy if you are patient and read the instructions. It is the perfect size for him and the microwave buttons actually beep, make popcorn sounds, and cooking sounds. The burner also makes boiling water and sizzling skillet noises depending on the dish you put on the burner. The fridge and oven door are a tad hard to open but my toddler has gotten used to it. It is very sturdy. The children in the picture are to size as to how my son stands next to the kitchen.. he is 38.5 inches tall. The colors in this kitchen, green cabinet top, decoration stickers, and edging is unisex. Perfect for girls or boys!! So glad after looking through multiple stores and websites, this is the kitchen I chose. Step2 has phenomenal customer service [...]

Kitchen is cute, it was a Christmas gift. When we went to put it together we were missing the 2 stove knobs. Then the microwave keypad just buzzed and the stove burner didn't work at all after 3 battery changes (just to make sure). I called customer service and was politely greeted and I should recv new parts soon. My son is so eager to play I hope they work. All the accessories included fit nicely into the fridge or stove or cabinet. It is the perfect height for my 2 1/2 yr old son. It's not a girly looking kitchen, so my husband was accepting!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle™ New Traditions Kitchen:

Great play kitchen. Purchased for 1.5 year old, plays with the kitchen ALL THE TIME!! Fast shipping, great communication from Step2. It has a lot of realistic features, promotes creativity, teaches and supports habits, e.g. hands-washing. The coffee pot is a great feature, makes our child feel like a grown up, when he can make us pretend coffee!! The stove top and microwave make sounds. Stove buttons click and turn. There is a lot of storage space. The faucet is a push-button, turns also. It is sturdy and durable. The accessory set included a little bit of everything (utensils, pot/lid, pan, plates, cups, fruits, veggies, pizza... )It is an excellent toy. Would purchase again.

Both my 2-year old daughter and my 5-year old son love this kitchen. My son loves it when his sister cooks for him, and she loves to do it for him! Since they don't always get along (go figure), their playing together with this kitchen has been really enjoyable for me to observe! I chose this one because it makes noises for the microwave, and it has all the components of a kitchen without taking up too much space. It's perfect!

Jeffrey E: If intending to use the kitchen outside I would not attach detail stickers. Kitchen is sturdy and won't be as "cute". On the plus side- this kitchen is easy enough for me (female 5'7 and overweight) to move in and out of the house very easily! My 3yo loves this kitchen as do I! Jul 9, 2013
