Comments about Step2 MailMaster® Classic Plus Mailbox:

I cannot yet respond to how it holds up to weather because it is relatively new and has not "experienced" severe weather (snow, extreme cold or extreme heat).

I especially like the gray color in lieu of the more common dark green or tan mailboxes.

Jenn F: About 29 inches is as high as you'd want to go to install properly. I, too, had a taller post and simply cut it down with my husband's sawsall before installing. It took just a minute and the new mailbox looks great!! Jul 14, 2014

sheryl r: my husband says 48 inches would be too tall. he says no problem...just take a chain saw and whack it off. we have this mailbox at our own home and a rental house and it looks good and is very functional. Jan 21, 2014

walter m: Yes, you would only need 24" above the ground level to mount this mailbox. if yours is taller, than its easy to cut it off. Jan 21, 2014

James W asked: Is bottom column hollow all the way to top & how tall is column? May 25, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
sheryl r: yes it is. I would have to measure the column to answer that. we bought this mailbox because it was gray and matches our shutters and roof. we have purchased it 3 times in the last 3 or 4 years. once for a rental house we own and twice for our personal mailbox. our 1st one was "exploded" by vandals. it is a nice mailbox.
