Comments about Step2 Pedal Farm Tractor and Trailer:

I bought this for my 2 year old grandson because he LOVES tractors; however, after I assembled it, it was obvious that he will not be able to pedal it for at least another year, maybe even 2 years. I have it stored for the time being and plan to give it to him on his third birthday at the end of September. I am trying to figure out a way to improvise so that he can pedal it. If you are planning to purchase this tractor, really take this fact into account. I had read this in a couple of the reviews beforehand but I didn't heed the advice. I am sure my grandson will love it; I just hope he can use it before he is 4 or 5 years old. My grandson is small for his age but the pedals do seem to be too distant for most two year olds, unless they are extraordinarily tall for their age. Realistically, I would recommend it for an average 3 year old.

Bought this as XMas gift for Grandson. Went to assemble and there were no wheels. Contacted Step2 and they told me wheels would be delivered before 10:30 AM on the 24th. Now 6:30 PM and no wheels

Kandy M asked: I bought the pedal farm tractor and pedal farm tractor trailer. The trailer isn't connecting to the tractor. Is there a special way to connect or is it just me? May 22, 2013

Shelise M: It is kind of tricky to attach it. My kids figured it out before I did. We lay the tractor and the trailer on their sides with the trailer behind the tractor and then kindof make an upside down "v" with them. Then scoot the trailer "hitch" into the spot that has the metal axel and as you do, slowly straighten the trailer up to be in line with the tractor. There is a green knobby piece on the tractor right above the metal axel and once you follow these steps that green piece should be in the yellow hole on the trailer "hitch". I really hope this helps. Judith H: We have had this problem with several toys like this that you have to assemble. The parts supplied and the plastic forms don't always mesh. One of the bolts in our kit was too short. Also, one of the places in the plastic where holes should have been driled nothing was drilled. My husband refuses to assemble any more toys like this because their is no quality control making sure the various parts actually work. May 23, 2013

TRISHA H: pick up the tractor by the back end and tilt the wagon at an angle to guide the trailer in, then tip the tractor and trailer down at the same time after you get the hole on trailer lined up with the peg that is underneath the back end of the tractor. kind of a pain to do but your trailer will not come undone May 24, 2013

Carolyn M: There is a place it connects on the underside of the back of the tractor. I haven't connected mine yet, as it is a gift, but I do believe you just have to push it into place. You may have to push hard, other wise it just sits in without locking in. May 24, 2013
Reply to Carolyn Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
misti m: It took me a while to figure it out too. You have to lean both the tractor and trailer at an angle sort of like a tee pee where they connect. Then stick the tractor piece in then sit them both down together. It may take 2 people. Hope this helps. May 23, 2013
Reply to misti Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Catherine O: I found that you pick the back end of the green tractor up and the trailer hitch and it should just slide into position, but make the two pieces make an angle like an upside down V and it should just hook up Jun 7, 2013
