My daughter loves it. It is cute. She has never had a bed without rails, but she stays put, probably because the sides are high enough. Instead of using the two pieces of plywood that comes with it, we bought a bunkie board (a foundation that is only 2 inches think) and it really seems like the bed was made for one. I say that because the bunkie board fits snuggly and is supported on all edges by the plastic, where the plywood does not reach. Also, a 5" foundation (or anything thicker than 3") would not work as the mattress would be higher than the sides of the bed.
Be sure to use the right length screws. There are three different sizes and the wrong length will go all the way through and stick out the other side (I won't say how I know this :-)
Cons: Yes, they could pre-drill the rest of the holes (some are started for you, but not on the white pieces). The plywood pieces could be bigger (does not matter if you use a bunkie board). Shipping agreement, if you purchase through manufacturer and bother to read it, is rather frustrating. I paid S2 $40 to have shipper lift it off the truck (Wife was there, not me and it would have been too heavy for either of us.)

The bed is a beautiful bed and my 3 year old daughter loves it. However, the holes to drill the screws in were not pre-drilled and you had to create your own holes. The bed would not fit a twin boxspring so you can only use the mattress party of the twin set. Also, directions should have stated that you need to pound on some of the parts to get them to fit correctly together. All in all, it was pretty sturdy once put together and my daughter loves it.

I purchased this bed for my granddaughter . She is going to be a big sister soon. We thought the bed would help with the transition. It certainly made the change a breeze. She is very excited that she is a big girl. My granddaughter Sophia will be two in a month.
