We bought this to encourage one of our own favorite activates…climbing. It has been fun watching our soon to be 4 year old climb the summit. Just today he tackled learning how to climb down out of the platform. The look on his face was worth it. The platform is a cool retreat for him to get away from his little brother. Item was received a week after ordering and took a few hours to put together. Having an extra person could have made it go by faster. Day two of having it and I feel it was still a good purchase…I know my son loves it!

This is a great product, but beware of a few things! First, the trucking company had mangled and tore up the flimsy box it was shipped in. I had some parts missing and had to buy from the hardware store! Took a good day to put together!

But my autistic/ADD boy loves to climb on it! So in the long run, it is worth it!

Just recommend insurance on shipping, JUST IN CASE!

    Comments about Step2 Skyward Summit:

I was very happy with the quality of the Skyward Summit. I purchased this item for my very active and furniture climbing 3 year old son. He is able to climb to the summit while improving his strength and agility. Not only is he able to enjoy it but my 5 and 10 year olds do as well. My husband assembled this item by himself in a couple of hours. The only thing that I have concerns about is the fact that it gets really hot, we have this placeed outside, and I will need to hose down the Summit before the kids can play on it during the summer months.

    Comments about Step2 Skyward Summit:

Santa brought this for my kids a couple Christmases ago and while it took all night to put together it has provided a solid 2 years of play so far, and it looks as good as the day we got it. We have it in our playroom and every child (and even some teens) want to come to our house to play because of it. It is sturdy and durable - and provides hours of imaginative fun. I opened a dayhome and it is the most played with toy, and we have other climbers too but this one surpasses them all. The kids play anything from mountain climbers, to rustic campers to Rapunzel it awakens so many fun games in their little imaginations and they thoroughly enjoy it. I definitely recommend full and active supervision as it is very tall and the kids could get hurt fairly easily but it is so worth it to sit in the playroom with them and a cup of coffee and listen to their imaginations go wild. Thanks Step 2! My kids love it!

      Comments about Step2 Skyward Summit:

We wanted to get a swing set for our 2 girls (3.5 years and 11 months) but the size of our yard didn't allow us to get anything that would last them for several years. The Skyward Summit is a perfect size for our yard and provides endless entertainment for our 3.5 year old. She keeps telling me to call her Izzy when she climbs it because it is Neverland Mountain! We just got it so I'll see how it does through the winter but my daughter's preschool has one as well and it seemed to have sustained the weather just fine. The other perk of this product is that when the girls are done with it in 5-7 years, it will be much easier to disassemble then a whole swing set! We highly recommend this product.

          Comments about Step2 Skyward Summit:

Kids love it! Pretty easy to put together (about 2-3 hours). Didn't have any trouble with the ropes- just need a little muscle to stretch it. I thought it was going to be harder after reading some of the reviews but it wasn't. Ropes just have to be lightly hammered (with a chisel) into the grooves they sit in.

Paul F: Same reason how many people have something
like this in there back yard.
          May 21, 2013
Karen C: I found the product at a better price elsewhere, however the cost to ship was almost as much as the
cost of the item. Also, I have purchased from you in the past and have never experienced and issues.
          Thanks Much.

Sandy G: I liked the reviews and felt the children in my day care would enjoy it. It appears to be sturdy. May 15, 2013
Nathanael M: Well we will see if I've made a good choice. Please allow it to be delivered safely first before all this. Apr 30, 2013

Debbie G: For safety from a fall it would be a good idea to have something especially if you plan on having it on a hard surface. I had a childcare business so my husband and I built a very large sandbox, 10' X 12', assembled the skyward summit inside before adding the sand. The children love it! Apr 15, 2013

Rachelle O: No, you dont need a mat, but it IS very high. My kids are now 6 and I feel comfortable letting them play with it in the yard and watching from a distance, but last year, I insisted on being right there near them so that they did not fall. The yard area must be very level as well Apr 15, 2013

Quang Nhan Tin L: No, we have ours on rubber tyre chips in our backyard. It drains pretty well underneath there. The kids love to crawl/ hide under there.
If you set it on the lawn you'd want to move the summit every now and then so your lawn won't die underneath.
          Apr 15, 2013
robert r: No mat needed. I have it on a grassy area. The included pegs have kept it solid through two major hurricanes. It didn't budge an inch. It still looks like new. I hope your kids enjoy it as much as mine have.

Lindsay O: As with any climbing structure, you will want a soft surface like grass, mulch, etc...for landing on, but a mat is not necessary. Apr 15, 2013
