My boys love to swing, but the most recent toddler swing we bought had a slight defect. The updated harness doesn't expand enough to fit my 30th percentile 16 month old. It did fit my 5th percentile 16 month old, but when I snapped the lap belt, the straps came loose.

I promptly called Step2. They were very helpful and said they'd immediately mail out the new-updated harness. Unfortunately I have yet to receive the harness so I have one swing in use (purchased late last year) and the other is sitting there collecting cobwebs.

Other than the harness we're waiting to replace, the swing is excellent and my boys love the security of having a "seat" for a swing!

Swing

I love the 5 pt harness on the swing but it is a really difficult to put a child in the swing and buckle it.

Comments about Step2 Toddler Swing:

Easy to put together and hang on our step-two swing set.

My 11month old, who admittedly is tall for her age, does not fit within the safety straps. when we try to put her in, we cannot click the straps closed and thus can't use the swing. What a disappointment.

    Comments about Step2 Toddler Swing:

The swing was great for the price. The one big complaint I have is that the straps are too small! Sure they adjust, but even adjusted to full length they are really tight on my one-year-old twins. The swing claims to fit children up to 24 months, but there is no way they will fit a year from now.

    Comments about Step2 Toddler Swing:

There is almost no need for instructions. Just screw in the straps and hang it. Fit perfectly on our Step 2 swingset. The waist strap is a bit small, but a child too big for the strap will likely not need it anyway. The seat is deep and reclined so that a toddler will stay inside with little effort.

Step2.com Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Mary C: We needed a baby swing for the swing set so various ages could use it. This one is very nice. Apr 26, 2013
A shopper asked: Can I use this swing on a tree limb? Apr 30, 2013

Michelle K: Yes, you would be able to hang it from a tree limb. It has clips on the top of the rope that could be put around a limb and clipped to the rope. May 1, 2013

Jonathan P: Sure can. The ropes from the seat end in 2 carabiners. You could attach them to a rope over a branch (or anything else, really). May 1, 2013

Michelle F: Yes, my neighbor has it setup that way. ( a sturdy thick one-of course!) May 1, 2013

Kay G: The attached ropes are fairly short and come with clips attached for attaching to o-rings. We used treated posts to build a frame. The waist straps on the harness are very short and there is no length to adjustment. May 1, 2013

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Gretchen T: I suppose you could, but you'd have to have 2 strong hooks in the ceiling to attach the separate sides of the swing. Apr 8, 2013

Vlora K: Where would you hang it? The swing is made to be used for a swing set. You can't hook it to just anything. Apr 7, 2013
