The directions that came with the zebra had only pictures, so it was a little bit of work to figure them out, but most of the assembly went smoothly. The piece for the eyes, however, did not line up with the body, so the screw doesn't go in smoothly (and I maybe should have requested a replacement part).

Although I was disappointed with that experience, and it turned me "off" toward the company, I still like the look and feel of product and look forward to seeing the kids use it.

Service and delivery comments:

I tried pushing in the black screw in to secure the eyes with my thumb, and my thumb is still sore a week later. I had to use the stick end of a hammer. Maybe the directions could include a warning that tools may be necessary for this step if the parts for the eyes do not line up.

First of all, once assembled, I'm happy with the product. Haven't used it yet, but it looks good.

Decided to assemble this before giving it away. The description said "minimal" assembly required if I remember correctly, and for the most part, it was not difficult, but the directions could have been more helpful AND THE HOLES FOR THE EYES WERE NOT LINED UP WITH THE PART FOR THE EYES, so it took A LOT of work to get them on.

I added this to my daycare room after I saw how much the children loved the Wide Side Giraffe. The two toys are now favorites in my classroom.

Now that our baby boy is a official a "toddler" we can actually now consider ride on toys! He is so much more fun and interactive … and likes trying to do most everything HIMSELF! Step2 has such a wide variety of toys to choose from!Right now, he is just starting to cruise around. He's a little hesitant to take risks and actually "walk" on his own, but that's where the Step2 Wild Side Riders Zebra came in handy. There was some very quick and easy assembly required. In under 10 minutes, with nothing more than a hammer and some easy sticker placement, our new ride on toy was ready to go. Since it is his first ride on toy, I was a little nervous that he wouldn't know exactly what to do. Boy was I wrong! Not only did he hop on board and begin scooting around the room, but he took time to pet the Zebra's face, point out his eyes and then scratch the Zebra's ears. The next thing was my favorite. He took the lead of the Zebra and used it to walk! He also used the ears of the Zebra making it not only a ride on toy, but also a push toy to aid in the development of walking! I'm sure it won't be long before he's chasing the dog around while riding his trusty zebra steed! =) I was given this product to review and I'm very lucky that I was.
