wish I had one of these when I was a kid
I bought this for my 14 month old for Christmas. I know the product says it's for 2 year olds but I read some of the reviews and figured that she might be able to use it sooner. I bought this for my 14 month old for Christmas. I know the product says it's for 2 year olds but I read some of the reviews and figured that she might be able to use it sooner. She has been walking since she was 10 months old. She is able to climb the ladder on her own but needs much help to use the slide. Her favorite part right now is the telephone but I know she will start to enjoy all the other features more and more as she gets older. My husband and I put it together in less than an hour even with a mistake (the ladder wasn't so easy going in and we tugged a little too hard on it, causing some of the screws to bend--we did fix it without any issues) Overall we are extremely satisfied with the purchase. The clubhouse is in our family room since we live in maine and it's winter right now, so I can't attest to how weather resistant it is. We will need to take it completely apart in order to move it outside in the spring, that will be interesting. The good thing is there aren't that many screws! Many of the pieces lock into each other. It really is a great design! I wish I had one of these when I was growing up! I hate to write the negative things but other people have said that the stools are useless and I think they're right. This is minor, but the step 2 stickers have both fallen off. One was off in the box before we opened it and was too badly damaged to put back on. The other sticker was partially torn off before we put it together so we decided to take it completely off. Unfortunately this leave a 3/4 inch hole in the side of the railing that I don't know what to do with. I need to cover it up with something I just don't know what. Oh well! To end this on a good note.....I had purchased this about 2 weeks before Christmas and it was currently on backorder so I never expected to receive it until after, however it arrived 1 week before Christmas! Thank you Step 2!!

Very cute
This item is very well built, I did think it would be a little bit larger, I guess I didnt measure correctly from the demension list. My son loves it he is 2 1/2, but I think it is something he will grow out of by time he is 3 1/2 so its a good thing the resale value is good. I like it for now. I would probably just pay a few extra hundred next time to get something he could grow with, but then again great for this budget.

We purchased it to use in a preschool with ages 1-3. The children love it. It is quite sturdy-no sharp edges or areas that young children could get hurt on. I really like the new arrangment but am no so certain about the blue color you've added. It definately is not for older children as they could fall over the rail on the bridge.

This was the perfect backyard addition for our 17-month old daugther. It took us about 3 hours to assemble, but it's very sturdy and the perfect height for her to climb on. She loves walking back and forth across the bridge, looking out the windows, and using both slides. Overall, a very good investment for a toddler who is still too small for a regular swingset.

Comments about Step2 Clubhouse Climber:
We bought this for our daughter's 1st birthday. She's crawling very well and walking somewhat. She loves to climb the steps with help and slide down. She crawls inside and out of the openings on the bottom and across the bridge. The unit is a bit smaller than I had envisoned, but very appropriate in size to my little one. The side rails on the bridge section have an arch design on the bottom that is too high however - when she crawls across the bridge, she can easily crawl beneath the rail and off the edge. I imagine this will solve itself when she is a bit older and more reliable - - she'll be able to climb beneath the rail with no trouble.
Service and delivery comments:
If the rails were reversible (same basic design just uniform spacing on attachment bolts) one could put the arch up when they're little with the flat side close to the bridge deck and then when they're older and need a higher rail and maybe other places to "crawl", the rails could be flipped.

We just got this for our 17 month old, he loves it so much that he will cry if anyone goes out the back door with out him! It's so safe & seems like it will last a long time. We have had a few older kids (2 & 3 year olds) over & they love it as well!

Comments about Step2 Clubhouse Climber:
This product would have been much easier to put together if the pieces were clearly uniquely identified. Since it wasn't, it took a little more time to put together but at the end it was successful and our son loves it.
Service and delivery comments:
The only suggestion I have is to make sure each piece is clearly identifiable, such as putting letters on it. This would help make the installation process quicker.

Got the newest version of Naturally Playful Clubhouse climber for 2 year old grandson. It is easy for him to climb the stairs to get up to the climber. With the new version they got rid of the periscope and the table inside although the wheel is still there. So there isn't much for him to play with inside which is a con for me. The only other issue is that the slides are not real slippery-he pretty much stops half way down and has to climb down the rest. [...]
Service and delivery comments:
Bring back the periscope or table for inside. Right now the only thing inside is the wheel which isn't enough to entertain.

We are a childcare center and it has been just what our toddlers needed! I do think it really is more a toddler toy than a preschooler structure! Our toddlers love it and so do our teachers! Very well made my husband put it together for us. The only cons are I think it is marked wrong for age group it should be 1 1/2 - 3 and the floor of the structure when you go up the stairs is a little flimsier than I would have like to have it. But all in all - great structure.
