Overall a good purchase
I like how it is a store and a kitchen- it makes it less about domesticating children (and also more boy-friendly according to my husband). We were missing two parts, not needed to hold it together, but needed for the look. I called Step2 [...] They were very responsive. I would recommend this product and step2 as a company.

Expected more for the money
I bought this for my 2yr old daughter birthday. She and her cousins (1 and 2yrs)play all day. The set came with 10 very hard fruits and veggies and 10 bakery items, so I had to buy more that are softer. 1 pot, 1 skillet, I had to buy more. They love to turn on the stove nobs to hear it boil and sizzle. I would have liked to seen the refridge with push buttons insted of stickers; and it make water and ice nosie. I bought this for my 2yr old daughter birthday. She and her cousins (1 and 2yrs)play all day. The oven has not stayed close sence I pulled it out the box. The hood vent really have a light. I think that could have been used for the oven or microwave. The microwave don't make noise or light up, no push buttons like the cheaper version. I don't mind the battery useage. All of the appliances are hard for the kids to pull open; there should have been actual handles. The kitchen sink could have been a litte wider and deeper, and the facuet need running water noise. I'd rather have more amities then for it to come with food that you have to buy extra of anyway. There should have been two grocery bag insted of one. The cash register is really fun and have a credit card and coins, but it don't hold dollar bills. It's a very good hight for them to grow with.

My 2-year-old granddaughter played with it nonstop the last time she visited. She was so content that she didn't even notice her other toys were not even in sight. It's usually the first thing she says when she gets up in the morning ... "play with kitchen?"

My children love this toy and it's just darling. They are 4 & 18 mos and both have something to play with since there are so many interactive parts. The oven door doesn't stay shut but we used a small piece of double stick padded tape and plan to replace with velcro. The kids don't even notice. The cash register was a hit. They practice bagging the veggies and fruits often and the sounds of the stove make them giggle. They will grow with this toy over the years and I can see different uses for different ages. So far- it's wonderful.

This is a great purchase. My 2 year old daughter loves the cash register and scanning the food. We bought the stools to go with it. She loves to sit at the bar and pretend to eat. It did take a little longer to assemble than I anticipated.

Since my daughter had a kitchen, I wanted to be sure my granddaughter did too. I was so excited over this new Fresh Market Kitchen and was not disappointed one bit.
Lots of imaginary fun while shopping for the food (especially the bakery case); scanning (makes noise like a real one), bagging and checking out; stocking the kitchen and preparing the food. Moving her chair to the other side to serve the food, all the while giggling and laughing.
