Comments about Step2 Scribble Center:

We felt is was too flimsy for a young child. We looked at others in the store and will wait until he is old enough for a sturdier, more sophisticated model. I suggest looking at them "in person" first. He is 2. [...]

You can fill this with sand
By DadVerified Reviewer from Rhode Island on 8/3/2008
Pros:
Durable, Easy to Assemble, Interactive, Lots of Fun
Describe Yourself:
First Time Parent, Working Parent
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Step2 Scribble Center:

My daughter loved this from the moment we got it. But like some other parents, we found it was easy to tip over. That was until I looked on the back, and found that they put a hole with a screw in it so you could fill it with sand. It's so much more sturdy now! As an aside, I painted the surface with black board paint, and now it is much easier to use traditional chalk with it.

Comments about Step2 Scribble Center:

My 2 year old received this for her 2nd Birthday, I love that its perfect height for toddlers and smaller kids, and she loves drawing on it, The only negative is the one leg in the back is not very sturdy, it keeps falling over and I have to keep it against the wall..if you do not have it against the wall it will keep moving back as she writes on it.

Comments about Step2 Scribble Center:

My 18 month old son loves his new chalk board, we are drawing letters together and following alonf with Sesame Street's letter of the day. It is a perfect size for him and he uses it every day. My only con is that it can tumble forward easily, but then again my son is a little terror at times and rips apart his playroom in protest to naps! Great Product, Great Value!

Comments about Step2 Scribble Center:

I purchased this product 12 years ago for my son who is now 13. I recently purchased this product again for my 1 and 1/2 year old daughter and I still LUV IT! It is just the right size for toddlers. Because the leg folds in, it makes storage easy. Since the product is well made and very sturdy, it can be used for many, many years. I would still have the one I had purchased for my son, but after 8 years of use, I have no complaints!!!!

Comments about Step2 Scribble Center:

Bought this for our 2 year old's birthday. She absolutely loves it. We have looked everywhere for a chalkboard that was not double sided as they take up too much room. This was exactly what we were looking for. It cleans very well and seems to be pretty sturdy. If you lean hard on it, it will tip over, but as far as just writing on the chalkboard, it does great. As a side note, I also have a daughter that just turned 1, and she also enjoys writing on it, but would rather stick the chalk in her mouth, so would recommend for children that have gotten out of that stage.
