Awesome blocks - provide tons of entertainment for our 3 year old - a simple yet engaging toy. He loves to stack them as high as he can, I love the fact that when the tower falls over, the baby won't get banged up if he is playing nearby! Highly recommend!!

Colorful fun...I love that my daughters use their imagination to build whatever they can imagine. These blocks are durable and have held up to the on-slaught of two three year-olds for the past year...And they look just as good as the day we bought them. Wonderful fun & highly recommended.

Comments about Step2 Soft Sturdy Blocks:

These are great for a first block set. They're soft enough so you don't have to worry about kids getting hurt with them. Our oldest son had a tendency to chew on them when teething though, so we have to keep an eye out for that. They have a couple of teeth marks, but they haven't come apart. The different shapes makes it a little more interesting for Mom & Dad when we sit down to play with him. They're also great for in the tub.

Comments about Step2 Soft Sturdy Blocks:

I ordered two sets of these, one for a 1 year old's birthday gift and the other for my 1 year old son. LOVE THEM! We have had so much fun building really tall towers that he can safely topple over. He has tried to chew on them, but hasn't bitten through so I like that! They're soft and gentle so they don't hurt and are a quiet toy to play with. Because of their foam, they have better stacking ability (a little bit of friction) and you can build very creative towers. Grandpa (the architect) loved them, too![...]

Great as a gift or for any children. Just watch little ones from chewing on them but they are colorful and imaginative for children to play with. I originally got them to keep them out of the kitchen cabinets, while I was cooking and it worked! They are almost 2 and still enjoy playing with them and so do other kids that come over.

Comments about Step2 Soft Sturdy Blocks:

My son is 2 and he enjoys playing with the blocks, he builds and then pushes them over. So I'm guessing once he gets alittle older he will enjoy being more creative. But we enjoy building then making the blocks fall. I am very happy that we purchased these.. there have been a few that have flown across the room and nothing has been broken...so we are happy with the soft & sturdy blocks.

Comments about Step2 Soft Sturdy Blocks:

My 15 month old boys are too young for these. They put them in their mouths after two weeks most of the blocks have teeth marks in them. I guess I should take them away from them incase there is anything toxic in the foam.
They do like to take them out and put them away in their pretend kitchen. My husband stacked them up in neat ways and let the boys knock them down- that looked fun- I wanted to join in.

Comments about Step2 Soft Sturdy Blocks:

I took a set of these to my granddaughter's house the other night (she is 22 mos.), and she played with them for an hour-and-a-half. She was most interested in taking the cylinders in and out of the square blocks, but she also stacked them. Thank heaven, as I was also babysitting her 6 mo. old sister who had a cold. Only thing I noticed was that dog hair stuck to them (outdoor dog), but plan to try a dryer sheet to remove static.

Comments about Step2 Soft Sturdy Blocks:

I ended up buying two sets of these blocks within a month because we get such good play value from them. They tend to adhere to each other, so they don't fall over as easily as wooden blocks; they are larger than most blocks, so easy for youngsters to manipulate; but the best bonus is they are quiet! Also, because they are soft, an occasional accidnetal bounce off little sister's head is painless!

We love building with these blocks. They stack much better than the wood ones. My three year old does not get frustraited because her creations fall down. The only issue I have is the blocks attract and hold on to any speck of dust or hair on the floor. I sweep my floor often, but my blocks still have dust on them. They are hard to wipe completely clean. I think I'll put out a clean blanket for the kids to play with them.

Comments about Step2 Soft Sturdy Blocks:

I got these for my daughter for Christmas. She is 1 and I was worried about her biting them....she has yet to bite them....it has been her older cousins (age4-10) that feel the need to bite them. Other then that we have LOVED these blocks! Just the right size to not be overwhelming. It's a great family time toy, my husband and I enjoy seeing who can make the coolest tower and the kids love to knock them over. The only thing I wish it came with was a storage bag or box. We had to run out and find something to keep them all together.

Comments about Step2 Soft Sturdy Blocks:

This is a great toy that is colorful and durable and my son really likes playing and building with this. They are strong enough that they don't break when he steps on them but soft enough that he can throw them without breaking anything. My one complaint is that it arrived in a neat, tight block wrapped in saran wrap. But now that we opened it, the blocks are always everywhere. For a few pennies more it would have been great if it came with a re-sealable plastic bag, container or box that I could store them in when they are not being played with.

These blocks are the perfect answer to not purchasing wood blocks. They are sturdy and can withstand the occasional jumping, biting, and bending that happens in normal play. My only con is that they seem a little large, a smaller size that I have seen by some competitive blocks is a little better, but still an awesome buy! Highly recommended.

Just got these from Santa and they've been played with a ton since being unwrapped. They are soft enough that when our 17m decides to throw them we aren't flinching or bruising yet they are great to stack. Our 4yo loves them too but her complaint is that she wishes it came with more blocks so her "princess castles" could be larger. I would recommend these in a heartbeat and will consider them for future birthday gifts for others(:

Perfect starter blocks!!! My son is almost two, but we didn't feel that he was ready to take on wood blocks. He still likes to throw toys on occasion. If he or someone else gets hit with these by accident, they won't get hurt. AND they work in the tub! They are lightweight without feeling cheap; and when it says sturdy, they mean it. He's already tried to take a bite out of one, and it didn't even mark the block. I am also pleased with the bright colors and the variety of shapes.

Comments about Step2 Soft Sturdy Blocks:

We first bought a set of these 2 years ago for our son's first Christmas. Even though he couldn't build with them yet his older sister would build towers for him to crawl into and knock over. We have since bought 3 of these sets total along with the set of really big blocks that they haven't opened yet. The only thing that we found is that it is hard for younger ones to put them back in the bag that comes with them so we bought one of those collapsible hampers that stands up by itself and the kids have no problem putting the blocks in it. The colors are great and they do stand up to a beating, we have had our first set for 2 years now and with the exception of a few bite marks (teething toddler) they look as good as the newest ones. They are soft so if they get thrown at siblings it doesn't hurt, if you have a wood floor there isn't the loud noises that you get from other blocks when they fall or are knocked down and they don't hurt when that 1 gets left out and you find it barefoot in the middle of the night.

These blocks are so great. I bought these for my 3 year old grandson because he liked to throw everything. He is now 5 and still loves to play with them. They look the same as they did when I bought them. He has always loved these blocks. They seem to stack well and easy because of the foam. We have had hours of fun with these and the fun still continues. Now I have 2 more grandkids and believe me I will be buying a set for each of them also

Comments about Step2 Soft Sturdy Blocks:

The given dimensions are correct but we didn't think about getting a ruler out. So when the package arrived we were surprised how much smaller the blocks were in comparison to the website photos. A bit disappointing.

Other than that they are great and our 1 year old has a blast. We don't give her all of them as it gets too messy but she has lots of fun with them anyway. We are considering buying the larger set.

Comments about Step2 Soft Sturdy Blocks:

I originally discovered these blocks at a local play area. Our 1 1/2 year old son loved to try and stack them. Most blocks he had were wooden and not as much fun. Plus, if he got upset, they could hurt both people and the walls! These are the greatest because while he is learning coordination he doesn't have to be precise in his stacking, these stick even at an angle. And they are a really nice foam so that if he throws them at our soon-to-be newborn, no one will get hurt.

I bought these blocks when I realised my three year old daughter had none at home to play with. These are great, you can build tall towers, knock them down and not worry about hurting each other (if you obviously had wooden blocks etc this would be a consideration). They are lovely and colourful and great fun. Even my husband and I enjoy playing with them!

I gave these to my two year old grandchild for Christmas. I immediately got feedback from my daughter that these have become one of my granddaughter's favorite playthings. She apparantly spent a great deal of time with them, unusual for this run-around toddler! My daughter especially appreciated the ability for the blocks to stay put when building one on top of another without slipping off. Great product.
