Soft & Sturdy Blocks
By Dad the HackerVerified Purchaser from Salem, NH on 9/30/2008

Pros:
Colorful, Durable, Easy To Assemble, Fun, Sturdy
Cons:
Hurt when fall on you, Slightly Deformed, Uneven Edges
Best Uses:
Imaginative Play, Young Children
Describe Yourself:
First Time Parent, Working Parent
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

My son loves these, I was a little hesitant because they are expensive for only 30 blocks.

My only complaint other than price is the fact that the blocks are slightly off. Edges are slightly angled and such, it isn't a major problem as they still stack ok, but as you stack higher it becomes more noticeable.

I would still recommend them to anyone with a 1+ year old baby. Just have to be very careful they don't fall directly on them, they are pretty "sturdy" and they actually do hurt.

These blocks are wonderful in single play or with a few children. My 20 month old boy who is high energy will play for quite sometime by his self. We also have play dates which all the little ones play great together. The only con is the carry bag. Very flimsy and not worth storing the blocks in. The blocks are great.

LOVE, love these blocks!! They are big and sturdy and SO colorful that my kiddos make tons of things out of them! Get them NOW because I've heard they will be discontinued!! We've had the cardboard blocks in the past and my kiddos are disappointed because if they build things with 'em, they cannot sit or stand on them because they cave in, but NOT so with these! [...]THANK YOU, STEP 2!!!

we both have fun using the foam blocks, love that the the scale of them, so it is lot more easier to build with it for small children. Only your imagination is the limit what you can do with it, use it for building tunnels for his cars, creating steps, castle.........

They are great.
By SanVerified Purchaser from New York on 6/10/2008
Pros:
Colorful, Durable, Easy To Assemble, Fun, Sturdy
Cons:
Not enough blocks.
Best Uses:
Imaginative Play, Motor Skills Development

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

They are sturdy enough to stand and sit on, but soft enough so when they fall my son doesn't get hurt. You need an open area because the towers can get tall. I suggest that you buy two bags. One just doesn't seem to be enough.

These blocks are great but take up a lot of space. Don't try to rush your toddler with these...mine is more interested in knocking them down than building. I may put them away for a year until he's 3. Try to buy these with a coupon or discount..not sure they are worth[$]

I use the blocks in my daycare. they are played with much more than any of my other toys. There's so many ways in which the kids play with them for example they build with them, they make patterns from the different shapes and colors, and they love to use them to make a fun and colorful balance beam.

We have a great time playing with these with our grandaughter. One of the great things about them is the crazy size. It's like the land of the giants. My only complaints are that the storage bag is flimsy. It isn't strong enough to hold such a load. If you try to lift it to move it to the play area it tears. Also, it would be nice to have an ideqa book available. [...]

The storage bag ripped apart the first time the kids put the blocks away. Purchased a collapsable laundry hamper which works better. The blocks are a bit heavier than I expected, but overall the kids really enjoy them.

My children are age 8, 2 and 1 and they all love to build with these blocks! We also have the smaller ones to go along with them. They build lots of barns and trains! And they LOVE to run and knock hem over after stacking them up to see how high they can get them! It keeps them busy and also helps with learning colors and shapes!
As a busy mother of three I love to see them playing together with these blocks!

LOVE THIS PRODUCT/HATE THE BAG
By FionaVerified Purchaser from Yonkers, NY on 10/1/2007
Pros:
Colorful, Durable, Fun, Safe, Sturdy
Cons:
Exhausting to put away
Best Uses:
Imaginative Play, Motor Skills Development, Older Children, Young Children
Describe Yourself:
Education Oriented, First Time Parent, Stay At Home Parent
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is a wonderful way to spend time with my child to enhance her motor skills and imagination. However, I thought the storage bag was sturdy, yet it's just made of loose mesh that easily tears while you try to stack the blocks inside of it. It would have been nice to have something like the pop-up laundry basket that has boning and a stronger fabric. The blocks are made of foam and very safe when they fall on the head, however they do have some weight which is what requires a better storage bag. NEVER-THE-LESS, I LOVE THIS TOY!
