Great Easel. My daughter is almost four. I wanted an easel but thought this one looked a bit juvenile, but couldn't find anything that would compete....It is great, she just loves it. She is really tall and it still works, I think the age range could be standing-until 6.

We bought this easel for our 2 year old son. He likes it and uses it almost every day. The magnetic letters were missing from the box but I contacted Step 2 via email and we received the magnetic letters [...] later! My only con is that the chalk board does not wipe off. We have to use water each time. I'm not sure why everyone has expected supplies to be included (chalk, markers, eraser,etc). We ordered ours online and the description seemed clear that these items were not included.

We got this as a gift for my twins and it's great! I was surprised that they had magnetic letters with it, I do wish they had more of a variety of the letters though. Other than that it's a great easel and does not take up much space which is really important.

My boys got this for Christmas last night and have been playing with it all day. I read reviews about it when my MIL said that she was getting this for my boys. I had my doubts because a lot of the reviews said that the paper clip wasn't good and dry erase marker would not come off.

The clip works rather well. I put paper in it and it stood up to my 2-year-old's quality testing.

I did use the dry erase marker myself (during naptime) and now there is a red mark on there that won't come off. Boo. Washable crayons will wipe off easily so my boys will be using them instead.

I won't be giving my boys the magnetic foam letters because my 2-year-old WILL chew them up. We are using magnetic letters from another toy and that is working better for us. I would prefer that chalk was packaged with the easel in addition to or instead of the foam letters. I do realize that it is intended for 3 and up, but that would still make more sense to me. I am glad we had chalk in the house.

The easel is very sturdy and can handle my 2-year-old climbing on the tray. I love the storage tray. It has enough room for supplies.

We have hardwood floors so it glides as they write on it. It would be nice if it had some grippers on the bottom to keep it in place.

There was no assembly really. I was impressed. I thought this would be one of those things that would take a while to assemble, but you just open it up and drop the tray in. I appreciated that!!! It was out of the box and they were playing with it just a minute later.

Overall great product. My boys have fun playing with it, and so do I. Thank you Step 2!

I am giving this to my two grandsons for Christmas. I know their Mom, my daughter, loved playing on her easel when she was a child. I was rather pleased with this product. The only reason why I gave it a 4 rating and not a 5 is because the pink color in the picture is not the pink color you receive it is a lot lighter and less bright. On the other hand the clip that holds the paper is tight (I was hesitant to buy because of the reviews on the paper clip). You should have seen hers and her parents faces when they came in the room. I am really happy with this purchase because it makes my grandbaby happy. It was her birthday present. She had just turned 2.

This product is great for my kids. My 3 year old and 18 month old love it. I am only letting them use the chalk board side, because the markers can get messy...I will let them use that side when they get a little older. My 3 year can handle the markers, but not my 18 month old. Everything about this product is great except the chalk does not come off very easily with an eraser. When the kids are done playing with it I just wet a paper towel and take all the chalk markings off the chalkboard, that works. I have magnets that I bought separately for the dryerase/magnet side. I didn't really like the magnets that came with the easel, they were flimsy and seems they might be a choking hazard for my youngest child. But, overall I would recommend this easel!

The not so great thing is that once your child accidentally marks the station on the chalk side with a dry erase there is no way to get it off. But other than that both of my sons 2 & 6 love this. They love to draw with markers on one side and chalk on the other and then clip art and they can use crayons on their paper.

This easel is awesome. I researched quite a few before buying this one and I'm glad I went with Step2. My 19 month old loves it; she plays with it every day. You'll have to buy your own chalk and eraser, but it's worth it. Looks great and a lot of fun, even for myself.

My 2 year old loves painting with this easle. My only complaint is that I wish it had claps to hold pieces of the larger roll of easle paper. I cut pieces to fit the width, but since the easle area is not flat and there is only one clasp in the middle it doesn't lay flat. I have to use clothes pins to hold the paper flat. Works okay.Chalkboard is great! Storage is wonderful. Dry erase is durable - my 2 year old often uses crayons on the dry erase area and it wipes off easily. She's learning. [...] assembly was a snap! My daughter is 3 and my son is 6, they both love to draw on this easel. I researched before I bought this one I am very happy with it, I found that the other easels chalk board part are hard to write on beacuse it has some type of clear coat over it so the chalk does not write properly.

I really find this a beneficial tool in my daycare and home. It has kept the children busy, entertained, and most importantly stimulated. The only thing that I find unfortunate is there isn't a way to get the dry erase marker off the chalkboard. Of course accidents happen, but wish there was a away to remove the mark.

This is a nice easel, but we have to rig paper up on the clips because they simply will not hold up even multiple pieces of paper. I wish I got the Melissa and Doug because it would have been more economical to have the easel paper rolls instead of clips that don't work, and that easel is half the price.

I bought this for my 15 months old baby. I bought one for my nephew when he was 3 and he still enjoys it at 8. It's a little too tall for my baby so she has to be on the step stool to draw things. I wish it was adjustable. Otherwise, it's great and very durable. The tray in the middle is very large. If it had some drawers, it would've been better though.

This easel seems to be quite sturdy, yet lightweight. The foam magnetic letters, though thin, are safe for our 18 month old to play with, but unlikely to injure him. This is a great teaching tool to explain letters and numbers. However, not impressed with the chalk board side, where the green surface appears to be simply painted on, rather than more of a true slate surface (maybe that's expecting too much...). In any case, we are certain our son will have several more years of fun with this.

My 3 year old has fun with this, as it goes along with his letter/word learning. However, there is no chalk included, so we are only using the magnet side right now (we just received it recently). I can understand why dry erase markers might not be included, but I think chalk is harmless. It is lightweight, and easy to move around, and my 3 year old likes to try and climb it. It seems to be holding up well.

There are clips for paper on both sides, which is great to hold paper on the side that isn't being used, as half the fun is going back and forth!

When I bought this for Christmas for my two grand daughters, ages 5 and 3, I thought the 3 year old would play with it the most. She does love it but the 5 year old uses it everyday to play school and then leave notes for her parents and any other neighborhood children who come in her room. My 2 yr old son uses this every day. He organizes the A-Z magnetic letters in order as well as organizes the 1-10 magnetic letters in order as well. He is also spelling small words. I have a 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 that play with this everyday. We've had it for a week and they are now drawing shapes and people with out me teaching them. The letters and numbers that come with it are not the best. My 1 1/2 year old tries biting them and most of them have been thrown in the trash. The kids aren't too interested in them anyways. I bought this product based on many positive reviews from this and other sites. I am very happy with the quality and size of the easel, and know my 2 1/2 year old will get at least a few years of use from it.

My only complaint is that the magnets were missing from the box, but based on other reviewers complaints that the magnets were flimsy and a bit unsafe, I planned to toss them anyway.

My daughter loves this easel. She loves playing with the magnets. We love that it's plastic so we can hose it down when painting gets too messy. My soon to be four yr old daughter had this toy since last Christmas and she is tall for her age. She still has lots of time to outgrow it and trys to put together words that she recognizes on educational channels. I purchased this for my almost three year old son. He loves the chalkboard and playing with his magnets on the white board. The clips on the top of the board are sturdy and hold the paper securely when he is painting. Clean up is a breeze... The tray can be removed for easy cleaning. I also love that the design is molded into the plastic... No sticker decorations for little fingers to pry off! He likes his so well that we are giving one to his three and four year old cousins for Christmas. Great toy!

Love this product! Both of my children (3 year old and 1 year old), love this easel. They have loads of fun, and it is so easy to clean up. I wish it came with dry erase markers and an eraser. I had to go out and purchase them separately.

My 2yr. old granddaughter got one for her birthday today 8/17/08. She loves it hasn't stopped playing with it. Already starting to repeat the letters. Loves to write and draw then erase. I think this will be really good towards learning.

I have 3 year old twins. The Easel For Two allows both of my children to play at the same time. They love it.

I was disappointed with the magnetic letters. They only came with 1 of several of the letters, which doesn't help when you are trying to teach children how to spell their names.

I bought this for my granddaughter and she loves it! The first thing she did was climb on the support shelf in the middle, it was pretty cute. She loves to draw on it and use the magnets with it.

I just let my 3 yr old nieces (and a 5 yr old) loose on this easel. They love it and it keeps them entertaining theirselves for a couple of hours. The only problem I have is my 18 month old grandson. Keeping him away from the easel is a task because I don't want to keep taking it down and putting it up. He keeps loosing the letters and numbers. So far I haven't been able to find these particular letters.
