Comments about Step2 Pink Princess Palace:

We purchased this for my daughter's 5th birthday. So far she loves it. Even the grandparents were impressed by it. It is large enough for both her and her little sister (2 years) to maneuver around easily, a big plus as they love to play together. It fits the Papo figurines perfectly, one of the big reason we purchased it as she has tons of these figures she loves to play with. I do like that it is all tab assembly, this is will enable me to take it apart and put it away for extend periods of time.
I would recommend gluing it together for younger kids. The only problem I have had with it is the pegs that hold it sturdy on the base board came out so now the castle wobbles. I am sure once we replace those (and glue them in) it will be much better.

We will be getting her the "Tower of Doom" for Christmas. (The princess is constantly saving people in this house. She'll need some one to save them from!)

Comments about Step2 Pink Princess Palace:

Overall, this is a great product. The first word from my daughter when she saw this assembled was "WOW". Looks good and play well. I have read the other reviews but we found the castle to be sturdy when played with. Assembly is not difficult - takes an adult to do it (good for bonding with kids) but generally it is ok.

Comments about Step2 Pink Princess Palace:

This is a very pretty castle. All the balconies make it very fun & it is roomy enough to add furniture & more dolls. It is very elegant in my daughters room, it does not look like a "toy". The pieces do come apart very easily. My husband put it together & the first time my daughter played with it it started coming apart. He used wood glue to fix it & it is perfect now. It hasnt come apart since. With glue it is sturdy.

I bought this for my 3 1/2 year old twin daughters for Christmas and this is the only thing that gets played with everyday at some point. The roof not permanently attaching is sometimes a bother but not enough to change my opinion. What a delightful toy!!!!!!! Great for thier imagination!! We have Royal Balls in our very own living room nightly!!!!

Cons:
Difficult To Assemble, Flimsy
Best Uses:

Comments about Step2 Pink Princess Palace:

Great concept but wish that the construction would be a little sturdier as my twin almost 3 year old and 5 year old daughters are always pulling of the roof pieces and turret roof tops. I would Gorilla Glue them on but now that my girls know that they come off I'm afraid they'll break it trying to take it off. Also, the castle keeps moving off from the base. In spite of these problems I really do love the product and the price was good. This would be a fantastic toy once problems are addressed.

Comments about Step2 Pink Princess Palace:

This is a really cute castle. It was pretty easy to assemble but, it tends to come apart when moved. I was a little disappointed with that fact due to price but, it has been the favorite gift for Christmas. We ended up placing it on top of their little play table and it worked out great. I also purchased the fairies and my girls love it!

Comments about Step2 Pink Princess Palace:

My girls got this from Santa (5yo and 2 yo). They absolutely love it! They have several "well known" princesses that they love to play with, but didn't have a castle to put them in! Now we re-inact their favorite movies with the princesses, and have royal balls in the castle. Highly recommended for those with children who love princesses!

our 2 & 3 yr old girls like this
By cepVerified Purchaser from denver, co on 1/3/2008

Comments about Step2 Pink Princess Palace:

this is a beautifully painted piece & a great layout. the problem is achieving *permanent* assembly. pieces slide into one another like a puzzle sans any firm attachments. so as soon as the child tries to play with it, the pieces fall off, slid out & can be easily taken all apart by 2 & 3 yr olds (then i have to put it back together again & again & pieces get lost too). i would have paid more for it to be glued together by the manufacturer/higher shipping cost. now it is a big time consuming problem i have to deal with: somehow gluing all those little pieces together. i am really disappointed with this item.

Comments about Step2 Pink Princess Palace:

My 6 year old daughter saw this castle and all the matching figures in a catalog we recieved from Step II. The catalog came w/ the Main Street Village sets we ordered for our 2 1/2 year old daughter. This castle was all we heard about from that time on. Needless to say, Santa brought it for Christmas, and it's been a big hit. We also purchased additional figures (elves & fairies) to complement the ones already included w/ the castle. Everything is made well, and provides hours of play for both of our girls.

We use it for imaginary play. My daughter loves it. Love the color and the space inside. We like the fact that it came with figures. After an hour or so of play it began to loosen up. After that we couldn't get the pieces to fit properly. Not as sturdy as the boys version of the castle.

Comments about Step2 Pink Princess Palace:

We bought the Pink Princess Palace for my 6 year old niece for Christmas and she absolutely loves it. Even her 10 year old brother joins her and her friend as they use the figures to act out various "royal" scenes. When I asked my niece to review it, she said, "It's EVEN better than the Barbie Dream House!" I guess that says it all. No regrets on this one. One of her favorite gifts.

Best Uses:

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Step2 Pink Princess Palace:

My 3 yr old daughter loves the castle but it seems we spend a lot of time putting it back together - the wood pegs aren't long enough to withstand any jostling by young fingers. Eventually we glued the main parts together to make it sturdier. Overall, it's a great "Imaginative" play item ~ just wish it was constructed better (based on the price). Get your glue gun ready.
