Got this for my two boys, ages 3 and 5 1/2, and they both love it. We loved that it was easy to put together and doesn't fall apart when they play with it. Great toy! Wish it wasn't discontinued as one of my friends was looking on the site to buy one.

Comments about Step2 Tower of Doom:

I unpacked the Tower of Doom on Christmas eve so that I could assemble it prior to Christmas morning. One of the largest pieces/supports was broken into two pieces. We were able to turn the Tower in such a way that my son couldn't see it, but I don't think this toy will last as it has a major flaw. Should have sent it back, but timing would not allow it.

Comments about Step2 Tower of Doom:

We assembled this in about half an hour. Two minor issues with the directions - the pictures of 20 and 22 are reversed in the parts list, and the stairs (#26) weren't labeled in the instructions. Otherwise, it was very easy to assemble, and very sturdy once assembled.

Our boys (ages 4 and 6) got this for Christmas, and played with it for most of the day. We read other reviews and were prepared with additional knights and horses for them to play with in addition to the three that were included.

This castle is a nice size for multiple children to play with at once, but is not overly bulky. It has a lot of nice detail on it, and plenty to spark the imagination. My boys like the dungeon, the drawbridge, and the tower, among other details of the castle.

This was definitely a hit, and we are glad we bought it. I think it will be a favorite toy for quite a while!

This was a gift for a friend's child. It was VERY well received! Putting it together was very easy but took longer than expected. Lots of details to fuel imaginative play.

We also have the extreme coaster, up and down coaster a couple climbers and the real projects work shop they are hits as well I cant say enough about these toys!

This is a great product. I own a daycare center and I knew that the kids would love it. What I didn't realize is that kids from the ages of 3 up to 10 would love it!! They all play with it. It's a great addition to our facility. I bought it thinking that the girls have their "barbie house's", but the boy didn't have anything for their action figures. Both boys AND girls love this castle. Now I just have to find more "king arthur" figures. I would recommend this for anyone. The 5 year olds helped the teacher put it together. That alone was alot of fun for them. It wasn't difficult and everyone helped!

Comments about Step2 Tower of Doom:

I bought this for my 7 year old's birthday knowing that my 4 year old would play with it too. They both like it a lot. It was not too hard to put together, took about 20 minutes or so. The only thing that needs to be improved is the very top of the castle, which is wobbly. This is not a part that is used for play so it is not a big deal. Overall, I am glad I bought this, esp. since it was on sale at the time.

Clever and fun design. Encourages pretend play. "Real wood" does not mean solid wood - this is particle board. A bit dusty and off-gases and not as sturdy as solid wood (arrived with a couple of broken pieces, which step2 replaced courteously and promptly). Would definitely recommend.

My son, daughter and friends have enjoyed the Tower. My son's various action figures (Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars, etc.) have had numerous battles and many scenes have been created. My son even let his little sister put her dollhouse furniture and dolls in there for a bit. The Tower is very well made. I will be playing with the kids and the Tower this afternoon. On a last note, when we visited family in Ohio over the Holidays, we drove past STEP2 in Streetsboro, OH. We announced this to the kids, and they were very excited.

Step2 Response: Thank you for your feedback. We're happy the children are enjoying the Tower of Doom. On your next visit to Ohio, please stop by our Step 2 store. It is open to the public, and has a play area where kids can test out their favorite Step 2 products!

Comments about Step2 Tower of Doom:

My son 5 1/2 is very excited about his Tower of Doom. It went together very easily! The design is great, quality is excellent ( I am a big fan of wooden toys), size is good, and play possibilities are endless. My three year old daughter even loves to play with this toy. It is so cool looking it almost draws you to it. It is a bit difficult to move around so you need to pick the spot you want to keep it and make that its area. You can use any type of creatures or play figures with the TofD. I wish I would have gotten it for my son sooner. Excellent product!

Just opened for Christmas day... awesome toy! Our seven year old who has a big imagination and loves storytelling was mesmerized with the potential for adventure. The "doom" part makes it just intense enough for those older kids looking for extra excitment. Great to have toy that doesn't have to sync to a computer to fill a kid's afternoon. THANK YOU!

Comments about Step2 Tower of Doom:

My son (almost 5) wanted this product for two years. So, this past Christmas, we decided to have Santa bring it for him. When he came into the room where all the presents were, he stood there with his mouth open and ran to the tower of doom and started playing with it. He wouldn't stop talking about all the features and characters. In fact, he played with it for over 30 minutes before he noticed any other presents. Our neighbor's son also got a castle but when he saw our son's Tower of Doom, he said he didn't want his castle anymore and wanted this one. The two boys literally play with this tower EVERY time they get together. I feel great about the toy as well because I see my son's imagination at work for hours.

There's nothing bad about the toy. The Tower of Doom castle is awesome. Solid wood contruction, very sturdy for those kids who play rough, very attractive design, easy for little hands to manuver inside the structure. This is the 2nd time we've purchased from Step2Direct and each time we've been extremely satisfied. We've even seen the castle in other toy catalogues and it was more expensive than Step2Direct. I look forward to future purchases!

Comments about Step2 Tower of Doom:

I searched for a castle that would make a good Christmas present for my 3 year old son. I wanted something that would be of high quality, would keep his interest as he grows, and would have interesting features without doing the imagining for him. I could not be more pleased. My husband, who hates putting together toys, said he actually had a lot of fun assembling it...and, it required no tools to do so! It's beautiful - handsomely painted and crafted - with fun features such as towers, tunnels, a moving drawbridge and a secret chamber. If someone were to design the perfect castle that looks good in a playroom or bedroom and that is also tons of fun, this would be it. The figures that come with it are great, too. We also purchased several of the other character sets - I do wish they had moving joints so they could be positioned, but they are awesome looking. I do believe we purchased the very best castle on the market.

Comments about Step2 Tower of Doom:

The castle was occupied with knights before I actually finished building it. The box does seem like it contains a million pieces, but they fit together like a glove and the directions were easy to follow. I checked online reviews about other manufacturer's more expensive models before I purchased this. This is a much better value for the money. Not only is it cheaper, but it is alot bigger than the name brand models

We have only had it for a day, but I can tell that it will hold up for a long time.

Hats off to the designers of this castle.

It was actually fun to build because it went together so easily.

This is the way all toys should be built. The pieces fit together perfectly, and I dare say that it's actually fun to build.

My kids have a lot of fun with the tower and the figures. It's fun to listen to the artificially-deep voice of the 5-year-old coming from the back room -- "You will NEVER escape the castle prison... muhahaha!"
