It was for my grandson who is very active and busy for 10 mos. He is in with the NY winter and the more creative the toy the better. He not only bowls with them, he sleeps with them, puts them in his bounce house and sets them around on furniture. He is thrilled with them, so we are also thrilled!

My son got this for Christmas last year when he was 5 months old. For younger babies, the ball softly jingles and each penguin has something uniquely fun about it. Our #2 penguin has colorful silky ribbons which he loved chewing. I would hand him a different penguin at each diaper change, and it kept him occupied.
Now almost a year later, it still is fun for my son & has held up very well. The penguins are easy to make stand up and use as bowling pins. The ball is easy to toss and won't harm anything it hits.
Whenever they get dirty, I just toss them in the washer along with the rest of his clothes. I attach links to the two penguins that have plastic circles on their wingtips, that way the penguins don't get lost or end up on the dirty floor at restaurants.
