I bought this set as a gift for my 2 year old son and he loved it. The first night after we set it up he was so happy because the bed actually looks like a real car. He loves cars so this was the best set for him. I have been trying for the last 2 years to get him into his own bed and finally I have gotten him to the point where he likes being in his own room.

The bed was a real pain to get together. There were no screw holes in the head and foot board, so it was difficult to get the screws in. Aside from that it's great. the toybox and dresser were ridiculously easy to put together. My son loves his new bed!

Products were easy to put together, and my one year old is able to open the toy chest and pull out what he wants all on his own. One side of the bed that attaches to the “head board” portion, does come unattached if I lean on it to much (I weigh 120 pounds) but other than that its great.

wife didnt want me to get this for the 2 yr old. I did anyway. She thought it was too expensive and wasnt sure of the "plastic" quality. Well, the kid loves it. Which I guess is what counts. The plastic is thick and sturdy. Putting it together, though, since it is plastic, the pieces dont exactly fit "perfect". Once you screw the stuff together its much better. Looks great. Kid loves it, should last as long as we need it to.

My son likes his new bed, we found it easy to put together, however, the plastic on the sides was scratched due to poor packaging. If you have a twin mattress with a pillow top, the mattress will be over the windows and for a younger child you will need bed rails. Also, the mattress fits very tightly in the bed which makes it difficult to make the bed. Overall it is a very cute and fun bed.

Although my son loved the way this furniture looks, the quality is very poor, made of cheap plastic, and came all scratched. Parts didn't fit together very well and it was hard to put the bed together (done by injection molding so pieces don't fit together). The tool chest is all bent and the doors don't close properly. This furniture is not worth almost [$] Better off buying a good quality bed that can last.

We bought this for our son's second birthday. He loves cars and anything involving cars. The look on his face when the items arrived was priceless. All he kept saying was "wooooow woooow my race car!". The product came practically assembled and took no time to fully put together. Our son loves the race track at the foot of his bed. He also enjoys stashing his toys in the toy box and had no problem mastering how to open and close it. The cupboard also works well as a storage unit for shoes, clothes, diapers, etc. And the best part is putting on all the stickers! A great combo! Thanks Step2!

My grandson loves his bedroom set. He loves to jump on it and seems to laugh everytime he goes into his room now. He is now more interested in playing in his room now than he was before. I do recommend that you wait until age two to buy the bed. He has so much more extra room and seems to end up sleeping on the side of the bed. My daughter and son-in-law put the crib bumper pads around the bed until my grandson gets a little bigger. There seems to be extra space since the frame also fits a twin size mattress. My daughter didn't think that the frame was adjustable to fit the toddler size mattress exactly.

Very Cute, Very Boy! My 2yr old loves his bed. It is nice because it seems to be very durable. We use the toolbox dresser as a night stand but we can't keep anything it because he takes it all out. The toy box holds a lot of toys even the bigger ones.

This bed is the cream-of-the-crop! Our 2 1/2 year old son LOVES this bed. He's been in it 2 nights now, and came home at 5:30 last night wanting to go "night-night" in his big-boy bed! My son is 22 months and loves the whole set up. We started with the crib mattress first and went to straight to the twin mattress the next day. He rolls around alot and would roll off the mattress onto the plastic sides, which woke him up, so we decided to go ahead and put the twin mattress in. We have had no problems ever since. He loves getting things in and out of the tool boxes. Another great product from step2.

I bought this for my toddler who is displaying early signs of Asperger's Syndrome and PDD. Cars are his obsession and he has latched on to the Disney movie 'Cars' religiously. We outfitted the rest of the room with movie themed stuff and our son is in hog heaven. He was blown away and for the next three days kept coming to the living room where my wife and I were hanging out pointing to his room saying, "car bed!" It is very hard to get him to speak at all so for us it was a breakthrough of sorts.

The instructions were very clear and it was very easy to set up. The stickers might be a little tedious to some to put on, but it was fun to me, especially knowing how attentive to detail my son is.

This set is highly recommended.

My 26 month old likes his "car bed". Although it took some getting use to...from a crib. The crib mattress didn't work for him, he ended up at the end on the race track. Luckily I had placed blankets there just in case that happened. So, we went ahead and purchased a twin mattress. It's harder for him to climb into, but he is much more comfortable. I feel like as he gets older he will appreciate it alot more than just a normal bed-like mommy and daddy have.

Our son loved it, once he saw it, he could not stay out of his room. However I would suggest buying a twin mattress right away, our son did not like sleeping on the crib mattress, probably because there are no springs. Just a frame and plywood panels underneath the mattress.

I THINK IS GREAT, THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAD WITH IT WAS PUTTING IT TOGETHER THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD HAVE THE HOLES ALREADY DRILLED IN ALIGNED TO THE CONNECTION OF THE NEXT PART. THE SIDE HIGH RAILS OF THE CAR DOOR PROTECTS HIM FROM ROLLING OUT OF THE BED. THE TOY CHEST IS GREAT HE IS ABLE TO HAVE ALL HIS TOYS PUT AWAY NEATLY. I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS. EVERYONE THAT COMES OVER ALSO LOVES HIS ROOM.

We bought this set for my 16 mo old son who has been co-sleeping with us since he was born. He loved the set as soon as he saw daddy setting it up. He just thought it was like a playground had been brought into his bedroom. He is not sleeping on it 100% of the time but that's because he was a cosleeper. I absolutely LOVE this racing room combo for my 23-month old and he loves it too! This bedroom set is almost perfect. It looks awesome, is toddler safe, and is easy to assemble. I rated this set four stars and not five stars because the product can be improved by making the bed better accommodate a crib mattress when used as a toddler bed. As I'm sure others have noted, the crib mattress is not flush with the bed (I remedied that with a blanket stuffed one side of the bed), it sits higher than the sides of the bed, and if the child rolls off the mattress they will be on cold plastic. I was aware of these issues before I purchased the bed, and I am still glad I purchased it. My son won't be using the crib mattress for too long and the bed and other pieces are just awesome! One more thing--we cleaned the pieces with alcohol and the stickers were so easy to apply and even reapply if needed. (I am a perfectionist so I reapplied stickers to get it just right.) [...]

We purchased this bedroom set for our 18 month old son who abandoned his crib eons ago. I was looking for a product that would be exciting, entertaining, colourful, but also very practical.

We love this bedroom set. Our son was so excited when he saw his new room and he climbed up into his bed within minutes. He sleeps well in the bed, which we have set up with a twin sized mattress. I would caution that with the twin mattress, the "rails" on the car only give you an inch or two of protection. We place pillows alongside the car just in case but so far we've had no problem.

Some reviews noted concerns about the strength of the supports under the mattress. My husband and I have both slept in the bed with our son when he was sick and we found it to be very, very sturdy. I would have no concerns about stability.

The toy chest and dresser are the perfect size and adorable. They are also very sturdy and offer a significant amount of storage.

As a side note, we store our son's crib bedding and baby toys in the openings under the matress and boards - making for extra storage in an unexpected space.

I will caution that the stickers did take a little while to put on but I enjoyed the challenge! Assembly was a breeze - I did this on my own as my husband was travelling.

i have a toddler and the bed is perfect for him because it can start with a crib mattress and go up to a twin mattress. so he can use this bed for at least a few more years and also i dont have to worry about him falling out of bed at night because the sides are high enough that he wont roll out.also the dresser can be used as a book shelve and it works perfect for that.and the toy chest holds gobbs of toys.

This is the best bed for a young toddler after a crib. I brought this bed for my 16 mo. son, he loves it since the first night. The height is just right for a young toddler, my son can get on and off it by himself. I put a twin size mattress immediately, better than a crib mattress, I even can sleep on it!
