This product is not apt for to 2 year old. it need a bit more confy on the side when placing a crib mattress since it leave spaces on the sides. Im opting to buy a twin mattress since my child is small and unstable when he sleep; so in the meantine i have placed some throws to provide confer on the side so he wont hit himself, although is a plastic.
also for a 2 year is hard to step out the bed or slide to step on the floor you will need a step. this bed is for younger kids not toddler.

He loves that he can open his own dresser and loves the toy box. The only con is dresser is only big enough for diapers and pjs but still works, And the dresser is not very tall so our son can reach the lamp and stuff on top so we will have to keep on eye on that. This is a great set for the price. My son absolutly loves his new bedroom! This set is durable, spacious, and very easy to assemble. I loved the fact for the toddler bed it came with guardrails already molded in. The race track is great too. My one and only complaint is we had to stuff blankets all around the sides of the matress to keep my son from rolling into the gaps. That's the only reason it didn't get five stars. Hopefully step2 will correct this problem soon because it really is a great bed! Bottom line the entire set and price are great.

Bought this for my 18mth old son who was climbing out of his crib. He loves it! And so does everyone who see's it. Wish I could've had one when I was a kid. Very stable and easy to put together. Takes only a few minutes. We are using his crib mattres. But are considering buy a twin very soon. Only because the crib mattres seems so small in it.

Moving my son to his first big boy bed was easy with this bed! He loved it from the moment we put it in his room. At first we just left it in there with his crib mattress to play on and then he started to ask to sleep in it. I especially like the little play area that is available when you use a crib mattress. That really helped keep him in the bed while we taught him that he had to stay in it when he went to sleep at night. His room looks so cool with this and it's great quality. I also love that it will grow with him. Great set - well worth getting the whole thing.

Set up was a breeze w/one person although it took FOREVER to put all the stickers on(well worth the time, they look awesome). I only have my son(2yrs.old) overnight 1 weekend night a week, but have him 2 afternoon/evenings during the week. I can't keep him out of his room during the weekday's & he actually looks forward to nap & bedtime on the weekend!! I do however think parts should be wrapped in plastic so as not to rub together in transit(red & blue)as I had to scrub some red off blue parts & vice versa.[...].Overall VERY SATISFIED!!!!

We helped purchase this for our grandson. He is 18 months old and loves it. He has a wonderful sleep in it and can easily get in and out of it. My son LOVES his new car bed set. It was easy to set up and feels very sturdy. I like the rails so my son can't roll out of the bed. We are using his crib mattress right now and Step 2 provides boards to put underneath to support the mattress (unlike the Thomas Train bed & Cars bed). The bed was purchased for my two year old son. I was worried about the set up when I saw how big the boxes were, but it was so easy. My son loves it as I do. The set is worth every penny considering the fact that it converts into a twin mattress. The toy box hold more toys than expected. We bought this for our 18 month old son once he started climbing out of his crib.. Once I saw this furniture I knew that it was going to be perfect for him. He can climb in and out of this bed without hurting himself in any way, which was most important for us. The toy chest is very deep and holds alot of toys, even his bigger ones. The dresser is perfect for a little child. Not very practicle for a place to store a lot of clothes. I put some baskets in it with diapers, onsies, pj's , shoes and socks. Perfect for that kind of stuff. I would DEFINATELY recommend this furniture to any one I know :)

This is one of the best buys that our family has made. We purchased the set for my son's 3rd birthday. He didn't want out of his crib and we had already tried 2 different toddler beds without success. The bed can be used with a crib mattress and then a twin mattress as they grow. This worked out really well for us because the sides are little bit higher which made him feel very safe. It not only provided security that he wouldn't roll out of bed, but it was fun for him. We've had this set for a year and half (now he uses the twin size mattress) and still loves it!! I highly recommend this set!

The bed was a real pain to get together. There were no screw holes in the head and foot board, so it was difficult to get the screws in. Aside from that it's great. the toybox and dresser were ridiculously easy to put together. My son loves his new bed!

Products were easy to put together, and my one year old is able to open the toy chest and pull out what he wants all on his own. One side of the bed that attaches to the “head board” portion, does come unattached if I lean on it to much (I weigh 120 pounds) but other than that its great.

wife didnt want me to get this for the 2 yr old. I did anyway. She thought it was too expensive and wasnt sure of the "plastic" quality. Well, the kid loves it. Which I guess is what counts. The plastic is thick and sturdy. Putting it together, though, since it is plastic, the pieces dont exactly fit "perfect". Once you screw the stuff together its much better. Looks great. Kid loves it, should last as long as we need it to.

My son likes his new bed, we found it easy to put together, however, the plastic on the sides was scratched due to poor packaging. If you have a twin mattress with a pillow top, the mattress will be over the windows and for a younger child you will need bed rails. Also, the mattress fits very tightly in the bed which makes it difficult to make the bed. Overall it is a very cute and fun bed.

Although my son loved the way this furniture looks, the quality is very poor, made of cheap plastic, and came all scratched. Parts didn't fit together very well and it was hard to put the bed together (done by injection molding so pieces don't fit together). The tool chest is all bent and the doors don't close properly. We bought this for our son's second birthday. He loves cars and anything involving cars. The look on his face when the items arrived was priceless. All he kept saying was "wooooow woooow my race car!". The product came practically assembled and took no time to fully put together. Our son loves the race track at the foot of his bed. He also enjoys stashing his toys in the toy box and had no problem mastering how to open and close it. My grandson loves his bedroom set. He loves to jump on it and seems to laugh everytime he goes into his room now. He is now more interested in playing in his room now than he was before. I do recommend that you wait until age two to buy the bed. He has so much more extra room and seems to end up sleeping on the side of the bed. My daughter and son-in-law put the crib bumper pads around the bed until my grandson gets a little bigger. There seems to be extra space since the frame also fits a twin size mattress. My daughter didn't think that the frame was adjustable to fit the toddler size mattress exactly.

I bought this for my toddler who is displaying early signs of Asperger's Syndrome and PDD. Cars are his obsession and he has latched on to the Disney movie 'Cars' religiously. We outfitted the rest of the room with movie themed stuff and our son is in hog heaven. He was blown away and for the next three days kept coming to the living room where my wife and I were hanging out pointing to his room saying, "car bed!" It is very hard to get him to speak at all so for us it was a breakthrough of sorts.

The instructions were very clear and it was very easy to set up. The stickers might be a little tedious to some to put on, but it was fun to me, especially knowing how attentive to detail my son is.

My 26 month old likes his "car bed". Although it took some getting use to...from a crib. The crib mattress didn't work for him, he ended up at the end on the race track. Luckily I had placed blankets there just in case that happened. So, we went ahead and purchased a twin mattress. It's harder for him to climb into, but he is much more comfortable. I absolutely LOVE this racing room combo for my 23-month old and he loves it too! This bedroom set is almost perfect. It looks awesome, is toddler safe, and is easy to assemble. I rated this set four stars and not five stars because the product can be improved by making the bed better accommodate a crib mattress when used as a toddler bed. As I'm sure others have noted, the crib mattress is not flush with the bed (I remedied that with a blanket stuffed one side of the bed), it sits higher than the sides of the bed, and if the child rolls off the mattress they will be on cold plastic. I was aware of these issues before I purchased the bed, and I am still glad I purchased it. My son won't be using the crib mattress for too long and the bed and other pieces are just awesome! We purchased this bedroom set for our 18 month old son who abandoned his crib eons ago. I was looking for a product that would be exciting, entertaining, colourful, but also very practical.

We love this bedroom set. Our son was so excited when he saw his new room and he climbed up into his bed within minutes. He sleeps well in the bed, which we have set up with a twin sized mattress. I would caution that with the twin mattress, the "rails" on the car only give you an inch or two of protection. We place pillows alongside the car just in case but so far we've had no problem.

Some reviews noted concerns about the strength of the supports under the mattress. My husband and I have both slept in the bed with our son when he was sick and we found it to be very, very sturdy. I would have no concerns about stability.

The toy chest and dresser are the perfect size and adorable. They are also very sturdy and offer a significant amount of storage.

As a side note, we store our son's crib bedding and baby toys in the openings under the matress and boards - making for extra storage in an unexpected space.

I will caution that the stickers did take a little while to put on but I enjoyed the challenge! Assembly was a breeze - I did this on my own as my husband was travelling.

This is the best bed for a young toddler after a crib. I brought this bed for my 16 mo. son, he loves it since the first night. My son just turned 3 years old and we purchased this combo set for his Birthday. We researched prices from all stores, and found this was the best price with shipping and handling. We did his room with the "Cars" theme in mind, and this was the perfect set to purchase. It is made very well, and was a snap to put together. It took longer to put the decals on than the rest. My son loves it!! He's so excited to go to bed at night! I like the option of converting from a crib mattress to a twin. The toy box has lots of room and the top comes off for the bigger items to store. The only draw-back that I found is the dresser could be a little more roomy or tall, to add another shelf inside. Other than that, I truly love this product and so does my son!!

I LIKED HOW EVERYTHING MATCHED GREAT. I WOULD RECOMMEND STEP2 TO MAKE THE TOY BOX TOP AND BOTTOM SNAP TOGETHER NOT JUST SIT ON TOP BECAUSE IT FALLS OFF EASILY. THE TOOL BOX DRESSER NEEDS TO HAVE THE DOORS REDESIGNED SO THEY LINE UP BETTER AND STAY SHUT BETTER.

Totally great....what a price...I shopped all over to find the best buy on this "car" bed...I found it here! When we set it up both my kids jumped on with their toys and took it for a ride...it is adorable!

I did not want to put a plastic bed or accessories in my child's room. I wanted something a little more in our new home. Plastic makes me think cheap and unstable. However, when it is all in place it looks great for a little boys room. If you decorate it just right and through in Disney Cars accents and paint the walls with racing stripes. It looks great! My son talks about his room all the time. He even sleeps by himself in his own bed. He is so happy that it was worth it. It was so cheap that as he grows out of it in several years, I can just sell it and get something else. It is very stable and we have had no problems with it or the accessories.
