This toy box is great. I was looking for something for my grandson who is 2. I needed it to be large enough for some toys and safe also. This product does all that. I did think it was small when I first seen it but it holds a lot more than it looks, The cover slides in and is a great safety feature. The top is great for his trucks and peoples that he plays with all the time. A great buy.

This is a durable toybox which my 18 mth old can easily open and close without the lid slamming on her fingers like the wooden toybox we have. I bought two to put in two different rooms and am happy that I did. It also matches the kitchen set we brought for one of the X-mas gifts.

Product arrived very quickly, already assembled. Chest is much larger inside than we thought. It's been great for our 1 year old twins. The best feature is the retractable lid-no pinched fingers!

Bought this for my almost 2 year old and me! Was tired of toys everywhere. We had storage, but it didn't seem to be exactly what we needed. Researched many different options and finally found this gem. No assembly, a little pricey, but when I received it I realized it was well worth it. Very durable and will last for many years to come. I would highly recommend this product. We love Step2 products!!!

I got this for my granddaughter and when my daughter got it she thought it might be too small. She was surprised when she could fit all her toys in it and it held up when my granddaughter climbed inside of it right away. I filled our needs.

Love the look of the toybox. Very user freindly for my 18 month old. She has no poblems getting lid open & closed. Good amount of storage room. Nice top shelf to display special toys or books. No assembly required! Would buy it again.
i just bought this toy box and well it came rather fast i was shocked, it came smaller then i thought, but after i got all the toys in it i realized it is the perfect size and there is still a lot more room for more toys..

With twin toddlers our living room was looking overrun with toys. We actually started storing toys in diaper boxes. I saw someone recommend this product on an online twins forum and decided to give it a try. It holds a lot of stuff! One thing is that it may be hard to find a smaller item. It would be great if it had small shelves on the sides of the inside.

We purchased this toy box for our daughter who was 16 months old. at the time. We were pleased because she intuitively knew how to operate the lid by herself and has no trouble getting toys out. The box is roomy, safe and sturdy, yet petite enough to blend well in a small room. It has a nice style AND came fully assembled. I would recommend this box to anyone and would purchase another.

I love the design but could be a little stronger for those little climbers. The storage is limited but has easy access to the toys. The lid is the best part as it safely locks out the way (no pinched fingers!). All in all nice toy box.

I absolutely love this storage chest. There was absolutely no assembly required and its light weight design is great for cleaning etc. This chest is easy to wipe down and sterilize when necessary. The compact design is perfect for my son's toys in his room and takes up little space which maximizes his play area. The slide back design of the lid and the gap for finger room when it's closed is a great safety feature. The top of this chest has been perfect for his small lamp and CD player for play time. The appearance and quality of this product where exactly as seen on the website and we're thrilled to have it. This was my first Step2 purchase but it certainly won't be our last. [...]

This is the second time I purchased this toy chest. The first one was so great in her room, that I wanted another one for the living room. It fits in well with our other furniture, and keeps the room looking a lot neater. Thanks again!

This toy box just works great. My husband was teasing me about the size of the box and how he thought it couldn't hold very many toys, but when we got it he was actually surprised at how much room it had inside. As soon as I took it out of the box my son opened the toy box and climbed inside. It is very easy for him to open and close by himself, and there really isn't anyway for him to pinch any fingers. We all liked this toy box so much that I'm ordering two more.

I bought this for Christmas for my 9 month old twin girls and it is great, when I first pulled it out of the box, I thought it looked sort of small, but it does sure hold a lot of toys, we have the matching kitchen, desk, and table so this complements the set perfectly.

We bought this before Christmas. I knew we would need extra storage space for new toys. It is just the right size. My 2 yr old can easly open and close the lid, without smashing her fingers. We ordered one for her room, but I'm thinking about gettting another one for our living room also.

This toy chest has great design, the lid cannot come down on a little ones' fingers. The flat surface on top gives you a place to put books, or a lamp. Has great capacity.

The only thing I wasn't happy with was that the chest was dirty when we got it out of the box--just very dusty. It's a great toy box and my 9 month old nephew loves it because he can reach into it.

I have bought two of these so far, and I am thinking of buying a third one for downstairs. This toybox is durable and is the perfect size for toddlers. My 2 year old will remove all his toys, climb inside, and close the door. My 8 month old will pull up and reach inside to retrieve a toy. The lid is attached so that I never have to worry about it sliding down and injuring the kids. The colors are nice and work well in any room.

I use this daily in my daycare and it hyas been very durable to even very young ones crawling inside of it to get a toy. The children really like it and don't even mind picking up toys to put in the new toychest!!

We just moved into a new home and have used the dining room as a play room. It is open to the family room and the subtle design of the toy box really blends into the decor. The only thing that I think could be improved are the sharp edges on the inside of the toy box opening, I've scraped my hands a couple of times trying to get someting out or in, I can only imagine that my toddler has done so as well. Otherwise I would definitely recommend purchasing this product. My 22 month old can easily open and close it and enjoys helping me put his toys away at the end of the day.

I researched this purchase for several weeks and am VERY happy with this product. My two-year-old son learned how to open and close it within minutes, enjoys putting his toys away now and it is completely safe to keep in his room -- no worries of hurt fingers, child getting trapped, tipping, etc.

Retired from a 36-year career in community college education, I am delighted to now be a "stay-at-home" grandmom, while my daughter and her husband pursue their careers. If your worried about safety with a toy chest, this is the one to get. The lid comes up and slides to the back so my little one can open and close this with no problems. I am happy with every item I've purchased with Step2.
This toy box is great. I was concerned about the size when I first took it out of the box, but it holds many more toys than I first expected. I also love the safety lid. My daughter loves to open and close the lid herself. Another great product from Step 2!

My 7-month-old daughter even loves this toy box. She is pulling up on everything and she loves to pull up on this box (when the door is open) and pull her toys out... it is the most adorable site!!! It holds lots of toys and we can even put some lightweight objects on top, currently it's a small lamp (my daughter cannot reach it and we keep a constant watch on her), a CD player, and a couple stuffed toys.
What I like most about this toy chest is that it is "ouchless." If she falls and bumps her head on it she doesn't get hurt (like she would with a wood chest). Its also very decorative and is a great choice for parents who want that extra touch!
My only con is that the shelf on top (the green part) is a little flimsy and could use more support. We had originally hoped to use it for books, but it was too much weight and it caused the top to sway in the center and made it very difficult to puch the chest door back.

THIS IS A CUTE STORAGE CONTAINER, MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT MY KIDS REACH EVERYWHERE AND EVEN THE INNER EDGE INSIDE THE BOX WHICH CAN BE SHARP SINCE THIS IS WHERE THE PLASTIC IS CUT. THIS MAY NOT POSE A PROBLEM FOR PEOPLE WHO DO NOT HAVE MISCHIEVIOUS KIDS. OVERALL VERY CUTE ITEM.

Really Great Storage Chest. Love the fact the lid slides up and out of the way. No pinched fingers. Storage capacity is great. Low profile and muted coloring makes it a great piece for the living room area. Really very happy with this product.

We bought this toybox for our 20 month old daughter. The lid lifts easily and can be pulled up and put in the top safely out of the way. She can reach her toys inside with ease. She likes to climb inside and play with her toys and she puts her babydolls on the shelf on top. I only wish Step 2 would make more furniture to match the hunter green like a bookshelf, bench seat, and an end table etc. This is a really nice toybox and looks good in my daughters room. Even when she outgrows toys some day, she can store blankets and quilts in it. Buying from [...] was easy and I look forward to buying more Step 2 products soon.

My grandson is autistic and loves this toybox. He can easily manage the lid and put toys in and take them out. The looks of the box is very nice. It would fit anywhere in any decor. We LOVE it! Well worth the money!

I love the fact that it looks good with my living room furniture. My son has so many toys that they were overpowering the room. My sister-in-law had this one in her living room and it fit just right. So that's how we got ours.

I love this toy box. I had been looking for one for some time and this is the best. It is durable and has a nice style as to fit in with my living room decor. I love how the lid opens and slides in to stay open. Even my one year old can open it, and I don;t have to worry about him getting his fingers cought. It has lots of room for lots of toys, plush has a nice shelf on top.

I love that this toy chest is plastic an easy to clean. It is much safer than other toy chests that are made of wood. I only wish it was bigger so I could store more of my son's toys in it.

My grandson is just starting to walk around and it is a sturdy, tough, but not too hard item for him to hang onto and get his toys out. The lid stays up very well, so not too much fear of it falling on him when he is playing.

At first I thought it would be too small, but it's really perfect for the small home that my grandson lives in. I like the fact that the lid slides up and into the unit, and that the top shelf holds books or a toy that's too large for the container portion of the toy box.
