Comments about Step2 MainStreet Village Village Square Play Mat:

I am so glad that Step2 make this play mat. Thanks Step2. It makes this little town collections looks so real. I plan to make a table to put this play mat on. It will be cute. It is made with a thick and strong paper. It has good color and good quality. My daughter walks and dances on top of it, and it doesn't bend. It is made of paper, so we try our best to keep it clean. The reason I don't give 5 star because I am not sure if this product is easy to clean without causing the color to fade or little damage. But other than that, everything is perfect.

This was requested by our daughter for our grandson, and I purchased 2 without reviewing the description of the product. I was imagining a plastic imprinted foam mat instead of a cardboard jigsaw puzzle form.

Comments about Step2 MainStreet Village Village Square Play Mat:

I use this mat to protect my coffee table from everything my kids do on it. This is my second mat because the first one is a mess! This mat needs to be laminated. Any little spill shows. Also, if they drop a car or anything on it, it will show or scratch. I am going to laminate this one with lamination sheets and see if it helps.

Comments about Step2 MainStreet Village Village Square Play Mat:

We love this mat for putting context with the few village sets we have. It helps my toddler make the connection between the different buildings and brings it together as a town/community environment. We've been able to learn a lot by having the mat compared to just using the floor or table.

Comments about Step2 MainStreet Village Village Square Play Mat:

Love the idea of this playmat but I think it needs to go back to the drawing board. It is sturdy and can be wiped clean with a damp cloth but... it is so big it can't be stored in a toy box. I would love it if it were vinyl and could be folded up at the end of playtime. I love that its big enough to fit all of the playsets but you can't store it anywhere. And my son can't put it together himself. And 3 year olds love to do things themself. I think this should be redesigned so that it's toddler and mommy friendly.
