My daughter informed me that her 3 year old & 17 month old daughters have been fighting over this toy. They both love it. Luckily, I purchased an extra family and wedding chapel so there are enough pieces for both of them to play at the same time. It is so sturdy and they love the sound effects. Perhaps the ambulance could be given a siren in future designs.

I bought my grandson this amazing village and, my husband and I really got interatively creative playing along with our grandson. He loves the sounds we make, the voices we added to the neighborhood occupants of the village and he was tickled pink with trying to add his own verbal sounds. We have a wonderful time together with this collection of toys. I would recommend it to everyone that has children.
