Wonderful playsets! Gave the 1st individual set to my granddaughter when she was 18mo. Gave her new sets as little surprises all year. Now she has around 8 sets. All she wants to do is play "People" with everyone. Starting my 2nd g-daughter (18mo.) with hers for Christmas '08. They love the sounds the buildings and vehicles make. Great for imaginary play! MainStreet Village are by far the best interactive playsets for preschoolers and special needs Children. My Grandson suffers with autism and doesn't verbalize. He Loves the sounds the sets make, will imitate them, and has started to verbally respond to them. We often hear "Hello" or "Goodbye" to doorbells and telephones. He is playing interactively with the entire family and will bring pieces to the grown-ups and encourage them to play with him. We've purchased almost every piece of the collection. THEY'RE GREAT TOYS!

Bought for my 2-year-old grandson's recent birthday, to compete with his 4 & 6-year-old sisters' dollhouses with which they'd rather he not play. As soon as the set was out of the box, all 3 of them started playing with it. This appears to be great fun for this age. Haven't had it long enough to discuss durability; however, I've never been disappointed with a Step 2 product.

This is a fun village playset, I also ordered the countryside collection. My son is 2 1/2 and loves it, and will probably play with it for many years. The only things I don't like are the barn doors don't stay in, so I just end up taking them off, and when I received the product the fire engine was broken, and I emailed Step2 and they sent a replacement in the mail immediately. Now it is fine!

The Mainstreet Village sets are perfect for my preschooler. She loves arranging the village and interchanging the people. The sounds are a nice touch, but she prefers to make her own. The detail on the vehicles and the people is much nicer than similar sets by other companies. We already had several of the individual sets, but the large sets are a much better value. I will be purchasing the others soon.

My two boys (2,3) love playing with this set. They love everything about it. There is only one issue that I have and it is small. My youngest son keeps pulling the doors on the firehouse off. This was a birthday present for my 2year Grandson.
I set it up in his room. He loves playing with it when he wakes up. He loves the cars and trucks and all the sounds that it makes.

I do worry about how long the puzzle floor map will last, because it is only cardboard and sitting on a carpet.

We are having troubles keeping the doudle doors on. although, they do snap back on easy.

I started buying a competitor product for my daughter until I stumbled across the main street collection from step 2. The detail and quality of the product far surpasses the competition. There are a lot more items to explore and do with this set to keep children entertained. I will definitley be buying more of these sets.

I have a 4 year old boy and a 2 year old girl and
they both love this toy. They have played with it
every day since I bought it. They are so sweet playing together. The pieces are perfect for small hands and it has lots of fun sounds. The play mat makes it all come together so well. I have even bought the Town Square collection! I love these toys!!!!
