My kids are 4 and 1-1/2, and they have climbed all over this thing, in ways I could never imagine. The footprint is small enough so that we have it "installed" on our lanai for shade and bug-resistance, but big enough and interesting enough for both kids to play on it together. And speaking of installation - seriously - we assembled the whole thing in less than 15 minutes. It was amazing.

My husband & I decided that it was time to purchase a climber for our very active 16 month old daughter. We wanted something that could go in our playroom. I was all set to purchase the Kangaroo climber, when a friend offered this climber to us for free! Of course we jumped on it, & hoped that it would fit in the house. Well it does & my daughter LOVES it! I never even looked in to this climber b/c of the high price tag. Nothing seems to hold her interest, so I did not want to spend the money for something she might not use. Now that I have this climber I would deff. recommend it & would most deff. pay the price for it! I also watch 5 other children during the day(ages 15 months - 9 yrs) & they all love this climber! This deff keeps them busy! I was worried that it was going to be too big for the younger ones, but they all mastered it right away. My daughter is now 17 months & has mastered the rock wall on the side! I am so happy with this item and I know it will last.

I bought this for my 1 year old with the notion that he would grow into it. I think its fantastic to help him work on his gross motor skills and it gives him a place to be on his own ( whether UNDER or on TOP of the structure)

Assembly was super simple. My husband had it together in 15 mins. It's light enough to drag to a new location and it LOOKS beautiful. Nice natural colors and not an eye soar!

We have had this climber in our backyard for more than 5 years, and it is just as sturdy today as it was when we first installed it. It doesn't wobble at all, and every part is intact, despite some very hard use. My children have loved it and used it for all kinds of imaginative play over the years. Now that my youngest is 5, we are finally removing it from our yard -- but it is still in such excellent condition that we are giving it to a little boy in the neighborhood and we're confident that he'll still be playing on it 5 years from now, too!

2 yr old boy luvs to climb up the sides and shoot down the slide. Very easy to snap together, safe for him to play on. The rockwall holds his attention for awhile, without that he would be a bit bored with it.

It does seem a bit smaller then I thought it would be, but overall we really like it.

I bought this for a 2 yr old. It popped together in minutes. He hasn't really taken to it yet, but his friends like it. I'm hoping he'll get more used to it and start using it more. I like to store additional toys underneath.

This product really needs more headroom for the sandbox. Adding a floor and cover for the sandbox would improve this product. Adding a play telescope or another similar feature would make this climber more interactive. I do like that this climber does not take up too much space. It seems safe.

this is a great outdoor toy. nice looking in our backyard, and most importantly, GREAT fun for my almost-2-year-old son and slightly younger nephew. i reviewed many similar climbers and didnt want one that was too small; this one is even a little larger then i expected and there is PLENTY of space on the platform for 2 toddlers. this is something that they can enjoy now but will also grow into. did LOTS of research before buying and i am 100% sure that i made the right choice. VERY HAPPY WITH THIS ITEM!! will buy more step2 products in the future.
*was VERY EASY to assemble, took less than 15 minutes.

well, other reviewer must has simple children. ours were bored in 3 minutes....its awefully small. check the measurements and map it out and remember 3-4" of each side is plastic so the interior is really small..our 2 year old and 1 year old cannot sit on platform together. just make sure you know how small the useable space is before you buy it.

my daughter, who is turning two this April, loves her woodland climber. She climbs up by herself and is learning to slide down. It sat outside all winter and not a BIT of damage from the snow and cold. A really great product, safe, and fun.

Our grandchildren enjoy playing castle and pirate on this toy. My husband had NO trouble assembling it quickly. It blends into our backyard beautifully and does not detract from the flowers and river setting, so we don't mind seeing it when our grandchildren aren't visiting. The children are safe and happy when they play, and this gives us FUN outdoor time together!

We purchased this product in 2004 when my now 6 year old daughter turned 2. It has held up remarkably well considering it has always been in our backyard in direct sunlight. The color is very neutral, which was a major plus for me, and has stayed the same over all the years of weathering outdoors. Although our 6 year old has now outgrown this climber, our 2 year old twins are now enjoying it very much! We frequently have high winds and we've never had a problem with it moving around. It's very sturdy and I love the open play area underneath to store some of our outside toys in (keeps them out of the weather and from blowing away). I would say that this climber will still be around long after all of our children outgrow it! I highly recommend this product!

Lovely product. My 14 month old, my 3 year old, and their friends of all ages love it. We use it in our bonus room to have something to climb in when it's raining... it has a small footprint, but has lots of features. SO easy to install. Brilliant!

We live in Las Vegas so the weather is still nice now. My only issue is-its a lot smaller than the cube climbers-being a rectangle platform instead of square.

We got this originally for our son who at the time was 15 months old, he was getting scraped up at the playground and we wanted a "Big Kid, Cool" toy for Inside our home. We got this, built it in minuets and haven't stopped having fun with it! He loves the slide, rock walls, play space underneath. Still uses daily at 22 months.. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Our only big problem was the wrong item was delivered fist time out. Someone put the correect packing slip and shipping label on the wrong produt. That was resolved very quickly after a call to Customer Service, and it took only 10 minutes to assemble our Woodland Climber after it arrived. A delight from the moment our granddaughter saw it!

My two year old grandson claps every time he slides down the slide. When the slide got hot on a very hot day, he learned to get wet in his wading pool and then go down the slide. His parents found it easy to put together.

We researched many items and choose the woodland climber. It looked the most realistic and fun for our grandson, who loves to climb. He was climbing all over it from the moment he saw it. He's 15 months old, but that doesn't stop him. He can maneuver the slide on his own but needs our help getting up the ladder and the rock wall. We don't mind helping him up at all and love watching him play. Soon there will be two little boys all over this toy. We are quite pleased with our purchase. It's exactly what we expected and plan to purchase additional items in the near future.

We have a very small backyard (our lawn is about 15' x 20' so a larger playset is not possible for us. This works out great! It was very easy to put together with just a screw driver. It's a good match for kids 1.5 years to probably 5 years. We have a woodland cottage playhouse by Step2 in the same color and material and it's been in our back yard for 2 years and still looks immaculate. That's 2 years of summers & winters with temperatures ranging from 35-110 degrees on our back patio. This product is sturdy, won't fade and is made in the US.

This was super easy to assemble and is very sturdy and well made. My little girl is only 14 months and she does not show much interest now as she cannot climb on it by herself and can't figure out the slide yet. Step 2 recommends it for children 2 years and up and I think this is a good recommendation. I think my daughter will enjoy it much more after she gets a little older. But I am satisfied with the product.

My 18 month old granddaughter loves this climber and I loved the easy assembly! It is in my kitchen/dining area for her to play on during the winter months. I put a pillow and blanket under the climber in the sand box area and my basset hound has taken over that as her special place.
The slide is the perfect size for a toddler because she can actually slide. A lot of the slides on other sets are too short. The platform with the steering wheel is big enough for for her to move around and the sides keep her secure. The big smile on her face says it all! We have to watch her climbing up the ladder in case she slips because it is pretty steep but she is mastering it quickly. I am also a little nervous about her falling back through the ladder opening so I'm not comfortable letting her play unsupervised on it, but I'm sure as she gets older I'll relax more. I comparison shopped for weeks before my selection and I am not disappointed. It is definitely well made and a very attractive style. It will give her lots of play time for years to come. I am so pleased I am anxious to get the matching pieces to add to our play fun! Thank you for an excellent product!

We recently purchased this product as our 11 month old triplet girls are climbing everywhere. They love the Woodland Climber! We have it in our playroom and they can't get enough of it! They are still a little young for all the features such as the rock wall, but have quickly learned to climb up the ladder. Our girls love the steering wheel and sliding down. Since our girls are younger than the recommended age, we do have to watch them carefully on it. I'm sure that when they're a bit older and more steady on their feet we won't have to be so vigilant. I am so glad we decided to purchase this item and can't wait to move it outside after winter.

We placed the climber in a 10 x 10 sandbox and it takes up very little room and our grandson has a soft place to land when he slides. I was overwhelmed by the size of the box, but also by how much my entire family uses the climber, everyone from my 2 year old son to his 60 year old grandma have climbed in and played. I bought this for my 14month old son, who was intimidated at first, but now loves it. I get nervous about him going head-first down the slide and there are many openings for him to fall through. It takes a lot of very close and active supervision. Other reviewers bought this for their 1year olds, so I did too, but it is definitely for older children. I wish I had waited until he was 2 before I bought this.

My wife and I got this for our daughters 2nd birthday. She loves it, and it is holding up well so that our twins who are going to turn 1 this summer should get much use out of it as well. I put sand in the bottom and it is working out fine, the sand really helps to stablize the toy and keeps it from moving around the yard in the storms and wind we get here in OKlahoma.

Of course any climber from Step 2 is good to be great and this one is! My son is almost 18 months and has a ball, he is not able to climb the rock wall yet, but he will soon. His favorite part is the steering wheel! The only flaw I see in this product would be that they state that the playhouse area underneath could be filled with sand. At first I thought GREAT now we dont have to have the sandbox and the climber (we have a small back yard) but there is no way to cover the sand from cat/dog feces or rain. I just wish they would sell something you could cover it with.
