I am pleased with this product. It has pleasantly surprised me in the quickness of assembly, and entertainment value. I care for young children aged 15 mos. - 3 1/2 yrs. and they all love it! Yes, the red stools do get pushed down the slide, but they are surprisingly sturdy to sit on. They love the bridge and the many peek-a-boo spots. It feels very safe because the top is adequately enclosed and I can feel good about the little ones being up there. There are play aspects that appeal to the very physical & curious child (like the slide climber and tunnel) as well as fun for the more imaginative or independent playing child (like the kitchen area and wheel/spy scope). The only drawback is it is definitely designed for the very young...don't plan on it holding up to a four year old! This is best purchased as soon the child is sturdy on their feet. Hope you enjoy as much as we are :)

My mom and I assembled this together, we had to work and push and pull on some of the pieces but it didn't take long at all. The kids LOVE it! They are between 1 and 4 yrs of age so I think older kids wouldn't like it as well. Its perfect for them. They climb up, over, under and enjoy every inch of it. The only con is how pricey it is but that's just how these climbers are. For the price, compared to other climbers and brands its considered reasonable. Its very stable, easy to move over to mow, doesn't hold rain like some of the others do and is big enough for 6 preschoolers to enjoy at once.

I bought this for my 4 y/o son and assembled it in our backyard. I am a fairly handy person who does a good deal of my own home maintenance. Notwithstanding, putting it together was a nightmare; the "snap together" holes did not align well. It has since come apart from my son and hid friends playing on it and whilst trying to snap it back together, it basically self-destructed. The only thing holding it together were the long screws I had put in myself to try to stabilize the thing.I am beyond furious at having spent [$] on this garbage and the only two things keeping this from being dumped on Goodwill tomorrow are the fact that my kid would be upset and I am not sure I want to be responsible if some other child winds up with it and gets hurt when it falls apart again.I will never buy another Step 2 product and cannot strongly enough urge others not to purchase this.

Step2 Response: Thank you for your recent feedback. We apologize for the difficulty you are having with the Clubhouse Climber and would recomend you speak with someone in our Consumer Service department at 800-347-8372.

It was an easy assembly. My 2 yr. old and her friends (2-4) love it! We put it in the backyard under a tree so that it really seems like a treehouse. The phone was not a good thing for outdoor use. It lasted about a day before it stopped working. We love this play structure. Only wish that they weren't so expensive but atleast we will get lots of use out of it for many years to come.

I bought this product for my 3 year old daughter. It is very expensive and it wastes a lot of energy to put them together. The instruction manual is not helpful, should have been the person who can install them together wrote the manual. The parts should have easy access to put together is better to screw every inch of the holes. Overall, the product is not as good as the price. What a waste of money!!!

From time to time we have to slide this a couple inches (snake prevention) and each time we have to slide it, it all 'snaps' apart as easily as it supposedly snaps together! Although we can manhandle it to get it snapped back together, the rock wall and the slide are very difficult, almost impossible to get back on with out disassembling the entire unit. The kids LOVE it when it is all put together, but due to the hassle of getting it back together, it spends more time in pieces and used in other ways for the kids (the slide makes a good ramp for hotwheels!)

Its a really nice product! My 2 year old just loves it! But it gets WAY too hot in the sun. The only thing is, once its put together, you cant really pick it up and move it...it starts to come apart. So you have to push it or drag it to keep it in one piece. But it has fun features for the kids, its not too high off the ground, and you can just hose it off if it gets a little dirty! I would definataly buy this product again!

The clubhouse climber looks great in my back yard. Assembly took me over an hour by myself...you do need a power drill and a hammer to make it easy. I was a little disappointed in the size of the climber. We have the playhouse climber and I was hoping size would be similar to that one. It still meets my expectations. I have three children, ages 3, 7, and 11 (petite 11 yr old), and they all love playing on the clubhouse climber. I also own a home childcare and all of the childcare children love it, too! My one, three, and four year old LOVE to play in their new clubhouse, it fits them all fine not too small and just the right size. Even friends up to 7 years love to play on it. The colors are subdued enough it looks great in the backyard. My husband assembled it quickly in an evening after work with really no help from me. The stools never seem to stay in the clubhouse, they are a little tipsy, but they've dragged their own little chairs inside to use instead. I'll maybe get the stools bolted down. And the phone I doubt will last the rest of the summer, it will probably get lost or sand in it, but that's ok. It's a little pricey, but definately sturdy enough to last us summers of fun, my kids still being so little, so it's worth it.

i love the naturally playful line, as it has a clean look in the backyard, and the other matching items looks so well with it.
as with others who commented, you do expect it to be bigger than it is. also, i was slightly disappointed with the quality of the product. right from the box it was covered in scratches. and some parts of the plastic are thin and there is a hole there ( this was also the case with the naturally playful sand and water table i bought )also once together it is a little shaky, but hoping it will settle into the mulch after a bit. the last thing is the panel the child stands on before they go down the slide bows when my son who is 30 lbs. stands on it.. there are some disappointments, but overall thrilled with the unit as i know it will entertain him and his friends for years, while it is pleasing for me to look at everyday. i would buy again.

We bought this for our son. He, at the time, was 18mos old. We bought this soley on the picture & other reviews (don't believe everything u read). Product was WAY smaller than pictured. All it is is a big, expensive slide. I could have bought a stand alone slide for WAY LESS and spent the rest on a real swing set. What a waste of plastic! They must have used REALLY short kids in the picture too. The "Ultimate" climber is not so ultimate.

I would buy this product again!

Purchased this for our 2 year old and he absolutely loves it! Very sturdy and safe for young children. The only con is that it is hard for me to move it by myself to mow. I guess in the end that is actually a pro because it shows how sturdy and safe it is!

Our 13 month old twin girls LOVE this climber! It has plenty of room for both of them to climb, run around, and slide without getting in each others' space too much. We liked this climber because there aren't a lot of open sides on the second floor where the girls could fall off, and we've been pleased at how safe it seems. Assembly was incredibly easy and quick, especially for such a large climber. My husband and I finshed it in less than an hour. And as an example of the great customer service Step 2 offers, we called to order an extra phone to supplement the one that the climber comes with because the girls were fighting over it. Step 2 shipped us one absolutely free, with no cost, shipping charges or anything! The excellent customer service and the great products [...]have made me a loyal Step 2 customer. I enthusiastically recommend this climber!

Our 2-yr-old son was very excited to wake up from naptime to discover the clubhouse climber! He asks for his clubhouse and was worried the first time it rained - "oh no, clubhouse" - though it's perfectly weather resistant. Very good choice. Easy to clean with a spray of the hose and not too difficult to assemble (though it takes two).
Not sure if he'll still enjoy it at age 5 but perhaps 2-4.

Expensive and not worth the money

Cons:
Difficult To Assemble, Flimsy
Best Uses:
Young Children
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I purchased this for my 2 year old daughter. She loved it but then it got blown over by the wind apparently and we had to take it apart and reassemble it. The ladder, slide, and flooring from the bridge have all come off. This has happened twice now. For spending hundreds of dollars, one would expect to receive a sturdy, well made climbing toy. This isn't the case. When I called to ask what I could do I was told to add sand to the walls - then I wouldn't be able to move it to mow since the item is so heavy - or buy an anchoring kit. I spent enough money on the toy that this kit should be sent with it.

Step2 obviously has their act together. The directions for assembly were so easily followed and written in PROPER English! Made in the USA is always a perk! We had it in place and ready in UNDER an hour! Absolutely the easiest thing to put together that we've ever bought requiring assembly. Our daughter is loving it. High quality construction. Will last for years to come, I can tell.

My 21 month old loves this climber!

Cons:
Stools are unsafe
Best Uses:

Bottom Line:

My 21 month old daughter loves this clubhouse climber! She plays on it everyday. It is good sized, I can fit in it with my daughter and it seems very sturdy. I think it will last her at least a couple of years. She loves to sit in the clubhouse and talk on the phone. I wish the stools could be anchored to the the floor somehow. My daughter struggles to get on and off the stools, but she is learning to hold on to the wall to get on and off of them. We put our climber in the shade so it doesnt get too hot. The climbing cups do collect water when it rains, so I just dry them out before she plays on it. My dad and brother put the climber together easily. They followed the instructions exactly and had no problems assembling it. I'm really happy with the quality of this product. It is expensive, but I feel it was worth it.

My 23 month old loves his playyard.. The only con to this toy is that in the sun the slide is hot and he will not play on it.. We do not have too much shade to put this in so he has to wait until it cools down.. Other than that it a wonderful toy great purchase..
