I bought the picnic table for my 17 month old twin grandsons for Christmas. This table matches the playhouse that they already have and LOVE. I know that the picnic table will become a fast favorite of theirs. Although the twins are only 17 months old, they are rough and tumble litte guys and Step 2 provides quality, dependable imaginative equipment for them. They love all the features of the playhouse; the doorbell, the windows that have opening and closing shutters and the little tables that can be propped up. This picnic table is the perfect compliment piece for the playhouse! I can't wait for them to see it Christmas morning!!

This was a great buy. I have a 17 month a 6 year old and a 4 year old. My girls absolutely love this picnic table. They always want to eat lunch so we sometimes have it on the screened in porch and sometimes the deck. its very easy to move. I can move it by myself. I love the colors it matches are backyard furniture perfectly.

We bought this for our 2-year old son. Everyone loves the table and we've received so many complements on it. The table looks so natural and the umbrella is attractive. Cousins up to age 6 have enjoyed sitting on it, and small adults too. Very sturdy, no tip over issues. Since summer is over, we now use the table indoors and our son does his art&crafts and snack time on the table. We use baby wipes to clean it easily and get food/play-doh out of the cracks.

This is a great table. We love the look and the functionality of the table. The kids love having a table that is just the right size for them. I only wish they make the hole for the umbrella a little deeper to help keep the little ones from accidentally tipping it over. Other than that, we love it!

We bought this table set for our soon-to-be-2 son & his almost 3 sister . He is 36" tall & weighs 32 lbs. She is 32" tall & weighs 26 lbs. They both love it. The moment the set was assembled, they both assumed their positions with the biggest smiles on their faces. They just sat there with an everlasting grin. They did not move for a good hour. They asked for food & drink & expected to be served at their table.
For the 1st time ever, it was fun to watch them eat & drink. We did not need to bring out the vacuum & mop! Hurray!
We just wish the umbrella could be more toddler friendly. Our son has been spending a lot of time standing on the table, analyzing the umbrella wires & trying to figure out how to close it. So, we don't think the umbrella is going to survive a couple of days.

The set-up was extremely easy & took no more then 10 minutes to assemble. All & all, great product for hours (& hopefully years) of fun.

We purchased this after suffering many 1 & 3 year old meltdowns over the other chair and table set we had. The kids wanted to be pushed in just right, the chairs would shift and table would shift. Many times I would bring lunch to set on the table only to have to hollar out "where is the other chair? Go find the other chair!" Dont get me wrong, the chair and table is nice, but this bench is better. It's one stable unit, that accomodates 1 to 6 sometimes unstable children comfortably. Even mom and dad, if we sit on the edge (I am too afraid of the middle caving. Not that it would, but don't take your chances with something you like a lot). It's sturdy and there are no chairs to push in. We pull out the cool umbrella (my 3 year old thinks its the best) and there is ample table space for art and such. Best part is if we are using it outside I can just hose it off when they are done.
Assembly was super easy and fast. It's nice to know if we ever have to store it in the garage or break it down for a move it can be done in a cinch. Good buy, nice design. I am glad we purchased.

I called Step 2 several times in the past year or so to see if they would bring this wonderful table back in the brown with the striped umbrella, and was delighted when I called a few weeks ago and they informed me that they did indeed have it back in stock.

I first fell in love with this table during a play group. It fit 6 children ranging from 2-6 very comfortably, and it was the cutest children's picnic table that I had ever seen.
We use it for snacks, play-doh, painting and other crafts.

The only "con" was not being able to get it sooner.

[...] It arrived today, while the kids and I were playing outside, and I had it out of the box and assembled within 10 minutes...that's with two 2 year olds "helping" me. We love it!! I was a little concerned at first because I couldn't find the directions and then I realized it was so simple to put together you don't even need directions. The only thing I am a little concerned about is that it doesn't have any screws. I imagine this is to make it easy to disassemble and store for the winter and that way you never end up with rusty screws, but I picked it up to move it and the table top came off...it snapped right back on. I don't imagine this being a big deal, as I don't plan to move it often. All in all, I would say this is the best outdoor purchase I have made for the daycare so far, and I imagine we will get hours of use out of it.

Overall I really like this table. The only issue I have found at this point is the fact it is often too hot before my son can sit on it. I end up pouring cold water on it before he can sit down or his legs will burn. I wish they had other umbrella designs to choose from, as the one it comes with isn't the most appealing with our house. The kids love it though, which was my hope when buying one. I wish it was easy to store, but once it is together it isn't easy to get apart or recommended.

Got this for my son's 2nd bday party in anticipation for the extra seating needed for the kiddos. Before the party, I have 2 nieces (2 and 3 yo) staying with us for a month. parents and kids are loving it!very good for snack/play time. table is tall enogh for adult to sit by side with chair, yet not too tall for little kids to reach while sitting on bench.got lots of compliments on the looks of it.

I bought this picnic table because my girlfriend in my son's playgroup had it and I loved it. I have an 18 mo old and we use this product outside. I place it on my patio deck next to my outdoor table and its great for entertaining and feeding my daughter and her little friends, keeping the mess outside and not inside. It's fantastic that the umbrella came with the table. The table itslef fits about 6 children which is great. Its easy to assemble and clean. The only thing i'm not so sure about is whether it can hold an adult. If you sit in the middle of the bench, it kind of bents downward bc there is no support there, so I recommend sitting at the ends if you have to.

My granddaughter loves the table, she eats outside on it, colors etc. and we will move it in when the weather turns bad so she can still use it. We haven't had it long, so it may be more sturdy and durable than our first impression was. We were surprise because it doesn't seem to be as thick as some of our older (everything is less than 2 yrs. old) pieces. I love this picnic table. It's cute, durable, easy to assemble...really, it doesn't get much better than this. Some had an issue with the groves and keeping it clean, I, however, don't. I clean when spills happen or use the vacuum attatchment to suck out crumbs from the groves, no problem! (I use the vacuumm about 12 times a day anyway.) It is large enough for several children to enjoy, my daughter to use alone or for me and her to sit and share a snack. I'll defnitely be passing this along when she outgrows it!

We bought this for our two grandaughters. While putting it together the legs were easy to assemble, but the holes were not pre-drilled to put the top on! We tried to force the screws through the plastic, and then tried a drill, but the bit was not long enough to reach. Finally after 1 hour of pretty hard muscle work it went through, although we have no idea how deep into the table the screws ended up. We are hoping it lasts! I would recommend this item, but with reservations if they do not have a drill available.

Our kids ages 3 & 1 love this table. It's sturdy enough for multiple 3/4 year old children to sit, and easy enough for our 1 year old to climb in by herself. A small adult may be able to sit on the edge of the bench, but I wouldn't recommend it. It really is build for children only. The only complaint is the lack of base for the umbrella. We set the table on our brick patio, and there's no secure hold for the umbrella. If you use it on a different surface, then it may not be an issue.

I've had this product for three weeks and I must say that I love it so far. My son just turned 2 and he sits on it almost everytime we're in the back yard. He loves the umbrella. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it would be much sturdier with some sort of support to the middle of the benches. It feels less durable at those points and I worry about heavier kids sitting in the middle.
Overall its a beautiful sight in my yard and my son will use it for a long time.

Originally, we purchased the table so that we can have messy art activities outside; if they get dirty, we can just wash it off. We have used it for snacks. The boys love eating their fruit dessert on it. It's an attractive addition to our yard. It's a kids table and was not made to support the full weight of an adult so I was not expecting it support my weight. It does fine for children.

This table is perfect for my 18 month old daughter. She loves to eat and play at the table. It will easily fit six total children of similar size. We leave it outside on the patio and so far it has held up well in the summer storms. We do not leave the umbrella up at all times. It is obviously not as sturdy as the table, but it is nice to have. The grooves on the top of the table make it a little difficult to clean, but that is my only complaint.

I got tired of dragging a table or high chair for the kids outside when we wanted to eat on the deck. Plus when we were outside we didn't have a place for the kids to set their drinks or snacks. This table is great. The kids feel like they have a place of their own. It fits both my 5 year old and 2 year old comfortably. My older nieces who are 8 and 10 can also fit at it. It cleans up easily, just hose it down. The umbrella is quite large and easily goes up and down. The umbrella is kind of light so the wind picks it up easy. If it is very windy out you need to put it down or it will lift up out of the table and blow away. The hight of the umbrella is also adjustable so it is quite nice for taller kids to fit under.

For the price, it is very worth it. I like the design and everyone that has come over to see it has given me compliments. I decided to get it because I have two other nephews that are bigger than my son, and I needed a table where my little one, and the others can sit down. This was perfect for my 2 1/2 year old, and my nephews who are 4 years old. The only bad thing I have to say is that the bench/base part is hollow, and can get caught easily on anything if you tried to drag the table to a different place. Overall, I have very few complaints and I really liked my purchase.

This table is a fabulous item and terrific for kids from 18 months to 5 years old. I put it together myself with nothing but a screwdriver. It's such a great size, roomy for four kids but can seat six too. My kids love to have breakfast on the deck and we often eat dessert out there in the evening. The Step2 Playfully Natural table is a great addition to our outside space. My older son and his friends love to eat their lunch there and I love that it comes with an umbrella for the really sunny days. This was purchased after a very negative experience with the funflo sink and its faulty motor, I still have not been able to use the sink with a functional motor- only as a big basin of water. That was a shame but this table is great!

We use this product for lunch/dinner crafts art painting etc. My 35lb 3 year old fits easily and my 16lb 1 year old climbs all over it. We all love it. It took me 7 mins to assemble and both my children love it. I have found it easy to clean with a sponge even when covered in paint. We have had three adults and three children easily at this table and had a great time. Would buy this again and again!

Bought this table for my 1 and 2 year old boys. They LOVE it. They use it to eat snacks at and do puzzles on and color. They also enjoy playing under the table and use it as a 'fort'. The molded bench seats are great for positioning their little bottoms in. They also enjoy the molded benches to use as a "track" for their matchbox cars and Thomas train collection. We have not used it outside yet, but plan to break it in soon. The only complaint that I have (if you wish to see it as a complaint) is that it is the perfect size for my 1 year old to climb and sit on top of. (He's currently learning to walk, run and climb!)

I have 3 kids ages 5, 3 & 19 months. They love this table! It's the perfect size for all of them with room for a guest. Six kids might be a little tight unless they're very small. I'm 5'0 and I can fit if I sit sideways on the corner of a bench. I was able to assemble it in about 20 minutes with an electric screwdriver. There's some wiggle to the benches but that's partly my fault because I was shooing away my kids instead of holding the bench down properly while putting in the screws. I think we'll be getting a lot of use out of this picnic table for quite a few years. My oldest has plenty of leg room so I'm hopeful that he'll be able to fit it for another two years. The only thing I don't really care for is the green color. I wish it was the old burgundy like our Woodland Climber and Partytime Kitchen

We got this for our daughter who is about to turn 4 and just love it. We have cousins over alot of the time and all of the sat on it comfortably, even the 10 year old. I looked at lots of these tables and this one was the best for the price. It took my husband about 15 minutes to put together. He is pretty handy with this type of stuff but he said it wasn't that hard.

This is incredibly sturdy and fabulously easy to assemble. We had the matching green leaf pattern sand and water table from last summer, so I thought this would coordinate nicely and the two both look good as new. It easily fits 6 younger kids and with room for chairs on the ends it fit 8 small plates to accommodate more. Definitely worth it as I purchased an adorable wood table table last year on which the paint started peeling within weeks so had to buy yet another this season! Plastic is the way to go for tables! STEP 2 makes the best!

We bought this picnic table for our son's 3rd birthday. We've only had it set-up for a few days, but so far it's perfect!! It's large enough for six kids (easily fitting my two sons - 5 & 3, and their cousin - 4, on one bench) and it is also a good size for the younger ones, too -- my nephew is only 18 months and he ate lunch easily at the table. We take the umbrella down and store it when we go inside, and we haven't really had any serious weather yet for it to suffer, but it seems pretty durable and I think it should be able to withstand summer storms. We also have the Naturally Playful climber and sandbox, which have both stood up to the elements just wonderfully!!

When the table arrived it only took my husband about 40 min to put together (with very little assistance from me) The first day we showed it to her she ate lunch at it and then we had some friends over and all the kids wanted to sit at it and play. This is a great picnic table. I think it will go the distance and last for many years and grow with the kids for quite some time. The only flaws I see are that the actual benches have indentures in them where as a kid if you don't sit in the right place, it's a little uncomfortable, and the table surface is not a smooth surface and makes cleaning a little more difficult. Other than those minor flaws, the colors are nice and neutral to fit in with natural surroundings. Nice and sturdy table, worth the $$.

We use the table indoors for eating/snacking, or playing on the table. We have not used it outdoors or tried the umbrella, but it allows my child to feel like a grownup and eat at his own table. The only issue I have is only certain parents can sit at the table, meaning you need to be small enough to fit your legs under the table, or you need to see on the edge, or face the opposite direction from the table. Otherwise, it has been pretty sturdy so far, and if it was a smooth surface rather than a rough surface it would probably be easier to clean, but still wipeable. Fits okay in the kitchen, but you have to have room to fit it by an adult table.

We bought this to go outside, but it never made it there. We put it in the middle of the living room and it is a life saver. I have a 2 year old and 9 month old and they both love it. We have one and my kids love it. We gave this one as a gift to my niece and nephew, so that they had somewhere kid size to sit outside. The table itself is nice and a good size for kids. It's pretty easy to put together. The umbrella is a little flimsy but if you put it away at the end of each day, it will provide a nice shady spot for the kids to eat.

My almost three year old daughter just loves sitting at the picnic table for playing, eating, or just sitting. My 10 month old son also loves holding onto it and walking. If he were to fall he would not hurt himself on any sharp edges as the plastic seats are rounded and are not hard plastic (important when kids are first learning to walk and hold on).

We bought this table for our grandchildren, and they were immediately fascinated with having their own table to sit at outside. They have enjoyed having snack time and eating in the back yard. There is plenty of room for their friends who come over as well.

We bought this for our 2.5 year old daughter, and she absolutely loves it! She runs to it, and loves eating on it. The weather is just starting to get warm, and we look forward to using it more.

This is such a great picnic table!! I love that the colors are soft and not loud and busy like some of the plastic items. The kids love doing quiet activities and eating at it especially when it's outside. The only complaint is that they cannot color or write on the table top surface because of the grainy texture. But art trays qucickly take care of that problem.

Use indoor and outdoor. Grandchildren 1 1/2, 3 & 7 great fit for all of them. Their smiles told it all the first time they used it.

My 2yr old son loves that he has a place to sit outside and eat lunch, color, play, etc. I love that he can easily sit and get up (some of the other tables I looked at are very small and make sitting/standing difficult).

I love that this product does not look "babyish". It's a nice addition to our backyard and my son loves having his own picnic table that fits him! I like that it also matches his other Step 2 products in his play area!

This table gives my kids a special place in the backyard to eat and play. I wasn't too sure about the color but it actually blends in nicely with the grass and trees. It has been a wonderful addition to the backyard!
