The product is great! The directions to put this together leave a lot to be desired. Clear directions save time, unclear directions with guesses about sizes of screws and bolts just waste time. Why would a company that has such a superior product have such poor directions. We have put hundreds of toys together over the years and these directions get a D-.

I run a childcare from my home and have this product for the children that vary in ages from 2 to 10. It is one of the favorite play equipment in the playground.The children seem to love it and enjoy it very much. The only thing we hardly use are the swings don't like the material in ropes and how they can splinter their little hands. I removed the swings. Other than that it is a good product.

We've had the playset with swings for about 3 weeks now. It was difficult to assemble in that the instructions are very poor - pictures seem incomplete and wording is not very helpful. Nonetheless, my husband and I were able to put it together in under 2 hours.

Our youngest daughter is only about 18 months now, so a bit young, but she is learning to climb the step of the playhouse and thoroughly loves the slides (she sits and pushes herself down). Even at her young age, the slide is sturdy enough that I feel comfortable letting her slide down without my hand holding. We purchased a separate toddler swing, which attaches easily to the clips, and now she can also swing with some close supervision, but without having to hold her.

I did find that the playhouse and slide are much narrower than expected. My 9 year old is about average build and she cannot fit her rear on the slide. So, stick to the recommended ages of 3-8, I guess.

This has served my kids well. The only problems I've had are the swings not going straight and the swing ropes have frayed and leave sprinters. I had to wrap them with duck tape so it didn't hurt their hands. The ropes really need to be made from a different material.

I bought this product used from someone....and even though its over 5 years old....its in great condition. I got it when my son was 7months old (we only used a toddler swing at the time) and now he is 2 and a half. He loves this set. We have other step 2 swings we bought because he is young.

My only COMPLAINT is that the playhouse underneath is really short. my son is tall for his age, but I still think that the slide platform should be a little bit higher up making more room for the kids underneath it.

This product has changed in the past year. They changed the swings and it cannot adjust. Not safe for younger children. It is 2ft from the ground. Love this product, but they should have never changed the swings - now this product is not safe for children under 6 years of age.

This is great for my three kids. All three kids can get up it and down it without a problem. Two of my sons have mild Cerebral Palsy, and even the one who can't walk (but can crawl, climb and stand a little) can get up the ladder with minimal to no help. The slide is perfect for my daring 5 year olds and is a little scary for my 19 month old. The swings work great, but after 2 years the ropes are fraying and leave rope "splinters" in my kids hands. I wish the ropes on the swings were made with something a little better than the ropes that came with it. Also, the swings get off balance fairly easy and will swing sideways until fixed. Not a huge issue unless you have twins or two children swinging on them at once and then bumps could happen.

It was easy to install (so the boys say), and it looks great in the back yard. Very sturdy, and easy to clean when the birds decide to "drop" on it. Only wish the swings had adjustable ropes. Love the ropes - easier on little hands.

My daughter is nearly two and LOVES this swing set. Her favorite aspect seems to change constantly: she'll spend hours on the swings one week and then climb the ladder and ride the slide hundreds of times the next. She loves to hide in the house too and operate the door. She always wants me to come in there too...it's a tight fit for an adult, but we've had so much fun playing together. This swing set was worth the asking price after the first month of use, and was built to last for years more fun!

It is great! My granddaughter loves it! It should have come with a ships wheel and a periscope or binonculars. That was the first thing my granddaughter said, "where is the wheel?" Overall, I didn't have too hard a time putting this together- but I wonder how some 'assembly challenged' people out there are able to get this together. The instructions are about 95 % pictures with no directions at all...and the few words there are seem to contradict the pictures (???). About 1/4 of the way through, I pretty much threw them away and just figured it out on my own.

My advice is- pitch the 9/16" "socket" they provide...you'll get yourself frustrated trying to tighten the bolts with that, a screwdriver and a pair of pliers (???)...get a socket driver (9/16th) and a combination wrench (9/16th) and you'll save yourself a lot of time and aggravation!

Other than these two issues, I think it will be a fine product until my 1 year old gets over 50 pounds...my 9 year old weighs about 55 pounds and it's a little scary having her on it- and it's rated to 75 lbs per swing!

This thing is great if you have very small to 4yr olds. easy to assemble took me less than 2hrs with a 4yr old helping. very sturdy with the anchors(have sledge hammer handy). kids can swing and not tip over. but slide is very narrow. kids will outgrow this about the time they get 6 or 7.

I have a one year old and 3 1/2 year old and they both love this set. I switched one of the swings that comes with the set with a toddler swing I had for my youngest one. Both my kids enjoy playing on it, and it is great climbing practice for my little one. It also fits in my small backyard very nicely. Assembly was relatively easy and straightforward.

My son received this as a first birthday present from his grandma. After the wrong set was delivered, Step2 gave us NO problems and immediately corrected the problem and sent out the correct set. Their customer service was fabulous and is the reason I ordered through them even though I found it slightly cheaper somewhere else.

My son loves the slide and swings. We had to purchase a baby swing for him since he's not even one yet--I wish it came with one. He loves to climb up the slide and up the stairs.

The only major con is that the directions are all pictures and don't have words. My husband had some difficulty putting some parts together and had to call another family member over to help him. Also, 2 bolts wouldn't go where they were supposed to so he had to buy new ones. The metal for the swings is already slightly rusting and it's only been outside for a week! I have heard horror stories about other types of swing sets being even more difficult to assemble so I guess it's not that bad.

Overall though, it's a beautiful set that will hopefully last a few years before my son gets bored with it and needs something bigger. Customer service is so important and we were thrilled with the response from Step2. We would definitely recommend this to others!

We purchased this swingset for our 1.5 yr old daughter, as the playsets in our neighborhood are just too "big kid" for her just yet. She absolutely LOVES the toddler swing. We had some of her little friends over (ages 3 and 5) and they all had a great time playing on it together. It took my husband and a friend about 5-6 hours to put together, but they had all the kids in toe a the same time! It is lots of fun, but really recommended for small children up until maybe 5 or 6. Past that they may be too big, as it is really a small unit.

This is a great play set. Our 2 1/2 year old and his friends love it. My husband found it easy to assemble. Pay attention to the ceiling height of the club house under the slide - many children won't be able to stand up. We didn't think this through initially; fortunately, our son doesn't care and he crawls around inside and climbs in and out of the different openings.

We got this swing set/slide because our back yard space is limited. THis product is perfect for out 2 daughters (4 & 2 years old). Since we didnt have enough room for one of those big wooden playgrounds we choose this one becuase the slide is big enough for our 4 year old to side down without her legs hitting the ground before she even went down the slide! and the swings are perfect! we added a toddler swing for the 2 year old which hooks on easily and works great! The assembly was really easy too (only complaint is the way the hardware was packaged it was a little confusing) I hope this set holds up becuase so far we love it! (so do the kids! )

This swingset is perfect for my 22 month old daughter and it should provide several years of fun. She is already able to climb the slide, and she absolutely loves the playhouse underneath. The playhouse is a little short and she'll have to bend over before long, but kids don't really mind. The one complaint I have is that the directions were a nightmare--the swingset comes in two different boxes with two sets of directions. So far our son loves this swing set! It took my husband and father about an hour and a half to put it together. The said the instructions weren't the best. They said the sequence wasn't totally correct and they had to undo a few things to get it together correctly. They say make sure you read all instructions before you start. Also, the hardware wasn't in one bag, but in several and they had to open all bags and sort through, at first they thought they were missing pieces. Also, they recommend you have a socket wrench because they one that comes w/ the kit isn't that great
But...as for our son he loves it! We purchased the toddler swing until he can grow into the big boy swing...and he can't get enough. My only complaint, is that the plastic gets very hot, but that is to be expected.
We love this and would recommend to anybody who is looking for a nice set.

I bought the swingset for my 22 month old niece, it is really great, I bought a toddler swing to replace one of the regular swings. The only problem I had was assembling the swing set part, the direction aren't really straight forward when it come to installing the bar so I put it all together, then had to take it all apart to fix the bar so that I could put the swings up. My daughter loves the swing! She can swing for hours! The slide is great because it doesn't go straight into the ground. Instead, it flattens out just enough at the bottom to keep my daughter from hitting the ground. The little club house under the slide is fun, too. Our 21 month old son loves this set. He points to the backyard everyday and exclaims "OUTSIDE" ever since we got this swing set. Very sturdy and provides lots of fun for an active toddler. I brought this for my 2 1/2 yr old and he couldn't wait for my husband to finish putting it together. It took my husband at least 1-4 hours due to very poor instructions; he was frustrated after he was done putting the product together, but after it was up our Son was so happy playing in the club house and slide it took all the disappointment of putting the unit together away. One more thing...only anticipate getting 1-4 yrs of play out of this product, not recommendated for tall or thick boned toddlers; slide is narrow.

I had one issue assembling the swingset. The pin that secured the extension to the playhouse was at an angle even though the level indicated everything was aligned. When we watched the video, they kind of glossed over this part with a freeze frame, not showing if the pin was similarly at an angle. Finally we gave up, lifted the playhouse and secured the pin, but I'm worried the screw might pop out.

Very sturdy. Easy to assemble. My daughter can't stop pointing out the back window at it (which of course means, "Hey, take me out!"). You sent me an extra packet of one of the nuts/bolts, but I ended up using a couple of the longer bolts from the extra packet. I also reversed the bolts at the top of the slide so they would point out. Great purchase. Thanks Step2!

I went online and looked and looked for a swing set. The wooden ones sounded like a nightmare in that people said it took three people three days to put together. Looked at the Step2 website and all the reviews were consistant; "very easy to put together; took my husband 3 hours to put together; has been taken down and put together for three different families". Who wouldn't take a chance with review like that. Well, it was delivered and Grandpa had half of it put together before I even got home and did the rest the next day. He has even taken it apart and put it together to move it to another part of the yard which was more level. The grandchildren came to visit last week and love it. They really love the little house underneath and love looking out the windows. I put up the toddler swings because the regular seats are too big for them. Overall, it was great experience and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

this playhouse climber is just right for our son and his little 2-3 year old friends in the neighborhood. we love the way it looks, it is very safe and sturdy, and worth the $$. With Step 2 you get what you pay for: fun, good, safe stuff that kids really love! oh, and it only took my husband 2 hours to put together by himself!--really easy!

We bought this playset for our 18 month old son and he loves it. He likes to climb up the ladder and go down the slide over and over again. The slide is not very slippery so I don't have to worry about him sliding off onto the ground. We also liked that the playset came with iron stakes to secure it into the ground. We have extremely high winds in our area and the playset hasn't moved at all.

We purchased this for my Daughter's 4th Birthday. She loves it, and was so excited. Her favorite part is the swing and the little play house. My son is 19 months and I was a little worried but, I had no reason to be. Yes it's a bit high for him at the top, but with a little coaching he had the hang of it in a few minutes. I guess if I had to pick out some cons they would be that my Daughter is already climbing out the side holes by the slide and of course her brother follows, but it's not a babysitter. Can almost put it together myself (5'3" woman). Would recommend that you do it on a flat surface, not your lawn. Also recommend that you find a socket wrench to ensure that things are tightened up well.
My daughter loves it, she's 18 months old and should be using it for at least a couple years. Better than Rainbow Systems for anyone at this age.

We have a smaller back yard and did not want an extremely large swing set. I loved the look and reputation of the step two natrually playful series. This climber/swingset combo was a 1st birthday gift and our daughter loves it. She can't climb up the ladder yet, but she will "grow" into this swingset. There are lots of comments on how small this set is, so I actually measured it out. I thought the size seemed ok until we received it. It does look small, but to my daughter it must seem huge. This is not a swingset for older children. I know we will get several years out of it since we got it so early. Easy assembly (I did most of it by myself) and it took about two hours. The quality is great and I have a lot of confidence in Step2 products.

I bought this set for my grandson I care for him all day while his parents are at work. Although he's still too little to use it, he's 13 months, I put him on the slide and he loves it, I didn't want to spend money on something that he would outgrow too quick. I know that this will last a long time because it is very sturdy and best of all it's all plastic (good for safety). I know that my grandson will enjoy climbing it and have fun when he's a little older.
Assembly was a little tricky but fast. It took my husband and brother-in-law less than 2 hours to put it together.

We love this playground. It was easy to put together, all the pieces fit just right. The swings were preassembled and just clip in. The only difficult part was the instructions didn't make it clear that certain steps had to be done first so we did have to take a small part back apart and reassemble it, but even that wasn't difficult.

My word this thing was a pain to assemble, it took two of us and was no easy task. It's very cool though; two swings that hold up to 75lbs and a small play structure with side -- perfect for a medium or small back yard. We bought this for our daughter five years ago and she still plays on it our son is 9 months old and I'm sure it will still be in my back yard five years from now. For those who complain about the nylon ropes we went to our local hardware store and purchased rubber tubing spliced it down the middle and used it as a covering over the ropes--problem solved.

The instruction set is really not good. The images are difficult understand, steps are missing, the parts are not well labeled as to where to use them in construction. Also, I had some challenges getting the horizontal pole properly mounted into the slide portion. Very tight fit with the pieces and the bolts a little too short to begin threading them. The mounting stakes are long, at about 12 inches and require using a sledge if you have clay or rocky soil.
However, my two-year old loves it. The playhouse is a great touch. The swing is a little too high to sit on by herself, but she'll grow into it. It would also be nice to have some other "swing" accessories besides the toddler seat and a standard swing.

My husband and a fried helped put this together. It took them about 2 hours to set this up. We love it! The playhouse portion (underneath) is rather small but perfect for our 1 year old. I first bought this unit (at least the version from about 10+ years ago) for my nephew's kids. As they grew out of it, he gave it to his sister who also had 2 small kids (toddler and baby). Now they have outgrown it and another one of my sisters who has become a new mother has now inherited it. It has served 3 families so far.

I noticed somewhere else in these posting someone complained about the nylon ropes being rough. That was the same case here, but 10+ years of exposure to sun and wear and tear will make that happen to nylon. Replacement swings are available at very nominal costs and I replaced both swings (one for a baby) and the other regular swing) for around $50. I wondered if the person who had the rough ropes was trying to use an old unit that has been passed around like mine?

Anyway, I can't remember what I paid for it, but with a little investment, it has now served 3 families.

I have transported the unit to all 3 families and it has given 10+ years of service combined (with a little a little fading). The plastic parts are completely intact. I have also replaced some of the hardware for appearance sake (they had gotten rusty) but once again the cost is very nominal when ordering through the toll-free number).

Customer care on the phone is great when you have questions.

I bought this for my 17 month granddaughter that lives on a Marine base with my son and his wife. They have a small fenced back yard and this set is absolutely perfect. This was a great product, we actually use it a little younger than the recommended age and swapped out one of the swings for our 21 year old girl. She goes crazy for this.

My husband had it together in two hours and it was simple. The only drawback that we found is that there are big holes at the platform that are on the side of the tower. With a little one, you really have to watch this section that they don't jump out. Otherwise, this is the best money I've spent in a long time!

I previously wrote a review of this product saying it was great, but had some bolts that were to long and protruded a little bit (kinda unsafe) but I improvised and help the kids not get caught on them. I did not contact Step 2 for any replacement parts, but they seen my review and contacted me wishing to send replacement parts for the swing set! I received them only 3 days after being contacted. How great is that. Other sites you have to fight with to try and get stuff fixed, but this one volentered!

I was really worried after reading all the reviews on line. Most people said that it was a difficult assembly. It took us 2 hours from start to finish and was not too bad. Our recommendation would be to not bolt it to the ground until after it is assembled. This makes it much easier.

Great for even me to swing on, lots of fun. My 12 yr old just loves it. Bought it a couple of months ago but just put it together about 3 weeks ago along with another Step 2 product; easy to put together. It's outside along with the other, however unlike them this product has had some fading. Within a week the swings changed color and the orange door on the side of the playhouse is dripping the orange color onto the base of the playhouse. We still love step 2 products, that's one of the many reasons we bought it but I'm not to sure this one will look as it should yrs from now. Also I'm not sure the swings will last, I'm thinking they may crack, sooner rather than later. I did buy a Step 2 toddler swing to add to it and that has not faded although I wish it had the same black rope as the swing rather than a yellow one but I knew that when I bought it.

This swingset is great! We have three young kids (3, 2 and 8 months). The swingset is great for our 3 year old and 2 year old. Perfect size that they can climb on, get on the swings, and they love playing in the little fort area under the slide platform. The slide isn't very slick, but is just right for their age. First off the directions to put this structure together were some of the worst I have ever seen. There would be one step where you had to assemble a piece and then 3 steps later you had to disassemble it to do a different step. I believe my husband had to take apart the same piece close to 4 times! It made him very frustrated to say the least.
Once he got the structure together and the kids were able to play on it, they had a blast! My 3 year old even came running into our room at 1 am one morning because she wanted to swing. It is a big hit here and I would recommend it to everyone. It is very sturdy and lots of fun!

Our one & three-year-old both have a great time on this set. We replaced one of the swings with a toddler swing for the younger child. We purchased this set used 8 years ago (we are the third owner) for our small yard. We moved to a house with a larger yard and moved the playset. It moved well. I shopped around for a long time looking for something that my children would enjoy. At the same time I looked at price and durability. If I was going to spend 500.00 on something I wanted to be sure it was going to last at least through the time my last child turned 5years old. I'm still excited about it! The swingset was a great choice and our twins love it. The swings are perfect and our two little guys are in heaven when swinging and playing in the clubhouse portion of the set. All in all, it was an easy assembly, but as I have noticed in other reviews, Step 2 needs to include longer bolts for the clubhouse portion, as the ones currently in use are about an inch too short. If that were fixed, I am sure you would receive excellent reviews all the time. It was decently priced and looks great in our yard too!

I bought a used one about 2 years ago. Needed to replace the ropes on the swings as they were old and prickly. Kids were 1.5 and 3.5. Both kids used the swings easily and play in the fort area, tea parties, etc. It's still in great condition. My 5.5 is getting to big and wants a bigger climber, so were are upgrading and selling it for almost what we paid...like basically using it for free. Excellent product!

There are only two things we do not like about it. The slide is a little small and you can not attach another swing piece to it like another company allows on their product. Our twin boys got this for Christmas and love it when we have playdates all the kids love playing on it.

A little disappointing---this set comes with swings for children who are at the very least 3 years old, but my two-year old already is too tall to stand in the playhouse, so what's the use of that? Someone could use age-appropriate measurements when designing these things. They should also offer a toddler swing option---although the Step 2 Toddler swings are too small for two-year-olds. So tack on an extra [$]for bucket-seat swings to the price tag if you have two-year-olds.

We bought this for our 2 yr old princess. She loves it and it is a great size for her and our yard. She will be to tall to run in an out under the slide soon, but it will not stop her from playing. It was easy to set up, but the instructions are not the best. We thought we were going to be short hardware, but after looking again, ALL the slide hardware is together (even the top bar screws). It only took about 45 minutes with 2 people (and the little one helping). All in All this is one of the best buys we have bought for her. I love Step 2 products, this is just one of many we have and will buy in the future.

The swing set out grew my kids at first I thought the price was to much but after having it a while there is no swingset that has out lasted the kids. We first looked at the big wooden playsets which are nice but expensive. We then realized that our 18 mo old would not be able to utilize such a big contraption to it's potential for a couple years.

We opted for something smaller and found this Step 2 Playset. He loves it. And he can easily use this for 3 or 4 years.

The climber piece took me 10 minutes to assemble. The swingset took another 30 by myself but was very easy to do. Just watch with the main pole that you have it in the correct direction (round holes up, oval down). This is not mentioned in the instructions and I had to re-adjust.

The slide IS narrow. I can see a potential issue with older or overweight kids. Also the clubhouse ceiling is low, my son has maybe 2 or 3 inches of clearance so he'll out grow that part by next year.

Other than that, it's a great setup.

I bought this swing set for my 3 granddaughers. It was pretty easy to assemble and is sturdy. I definitely recommend it as they love it. However, the ropes on swings are splintering after only one season, and it would be better to have longer bolts. Nice, too, if a small extension could be added for another swing.

I purchased this for my 19 month old daughter and she loves it. The swings are great but I puchased a bucket swing to make it a little easier for her. She will definately grow into this item. It took my husband and father-in-law about 1 1/2 hours to put it together and the only difficulty they had was that they placed the swing pole upside down. Direction would have been better if there were written instructions.

My toddler loves this swing set. The older kids in the neghborhood, like 5+ are too big for this set though. I would say up to 5, not 8 years of age should go on this, as the plastic bends in a little bit otherwise.

We have had our swing set for about 8 years and it is still in great shape!! My boys loved to hook up the Splash Pool to it and slide down. We are handing it down to friends with smaller children. My boys have outgrown it and it will be missed! Still has a lot of life in it! We got our money out of it! I did have to replace the swings due to the ropes wearing down. My daycare kids also had many hours of fun on it.

My husband and I just purchased this product for our 15 month old son and we love it! The size is perfect for small backyards and young children. I don't have to worry so much about him falling off and hurting himself. We purchased an infant swing and he will swing for hours! He cannot go up and down the slide by himself, but with a little assistance he has a blast. He will not be able to stand up in the playhouse for much longer, but I don't think he will care. He loves opening and closing the door and playing peek-a-boo in the windows. The only con we have is that it did not contain all the correct screws and bolts to put it together. But a few dollars at a hardware store and the swingset was up with ease. This product will probably only last until he is about 5, but for young children, it is perfect and above all, safe for little ones! I would definitely recommend this over a large wooden one, at least while my children are young.

I had researched many products for a couple of weeks before choosing this one, and this was exactly what I needed for my 1 1/2 year old daughter. She loves it and can climb up and slide down by herself. It doesn't let her slide so fast she falls off the bottom onto the ground. I feel this is best for about 5 years old and under. Older children would outgrow the piece.

We had a very small space and researched many swing sets but they were all too big. This one fit perfectly and my kids enjoyed it. I think the ideal age for this set is 18 months to 4.5 years although the manufacturers recommended age is 3+.

I just purchased this unit for my 2.5 year old daughter and 4 month son. My daughter absolutely LOVES it, my only problem is getting her off of it :-) I purchased the infant to toddler swing and my son also loves the swing. I bought this unit knowing that my daughter would be able to use it right away and my son would grow into it.

I agree that the slide is a bit narrow but I still expect both of them to be able to use it for many years. My daughter loves the little house in the climber...we've put a small table and a chair underneath there so that she can rest a bit out of the sun.

Some people have complained about the swing ropes, however Step2 has changed them and they seem to be much better. The only thing that I have a major complaint with, is the instructions. VERY POOR! The unit itself is not difficult to put together but the instructions are so confusing that it makes the unit difficult to assemble. 1 small tip of advice, make sure that when you assemble the pole of the swingset that the circular holes are on top and the oval holes are facing the ground...otherwise you will put the set together and will be unable to put the swing hooks on and you will need to dissassemble the entire unit...not fun!!

Otherwise, I love this unit and would definately purchase it again.

We just set this swingset up in our backyard for my 18month old. He's still a bit small to climb up and go down the slide unassisted, but he has the best time w/ it. Instead of attaching one of the swings, I installed a baby swing w/ a back that he can enjoy as well. I love that it's easy to spray w/ the hose when it gets dirty and won't rust. I'm sure my kids will enjoy this for quite awhile.

Im dissapointed that the slide is so slender, my son was only able to use it until he was 3 and the swings fray way too easily even after stored inside for most of the time because of climate they still came apart. After the set was 1 yr old and my son was 2 and able to swing on his own i had to constantly remove slivers from his hand from the yellow ropes, expensive and not worth the money i paid for it..ultimately i have to pay more now for a larger structure just to fit my son whos only 5, Being that im from canada i originally paid over [$]for this product.

We purchased this swing set as a Christmas present for our two year old daughter. Since putting it together, she hasn't been off it! She loves it and we couldn't be happier with our well-researched purchase. My husand put it together without incident, but as mentioned in another review, there were a couple of bolts that didn't fit. Luckily, my husband had some extras in the garage and we were able to finish putting the set together without a run to the hardware store. It's a very sturdy, attractive, small set that works perfectly in our small yard, and I'm not worried that my daughter will hurt herself on any sharp edges or get splinters. Though I've read some of the reviews that indicated the ropes on the swings were not good, we have not yet had any issues with them (though the set has only been up for two weeks.) I was worried about the slide because it is high but the fall makes her slide slowly. Liked the size, good for a small backyard. About the instructions, my first language is spanish and we found they are not correctly translated. We wanted a set for our 1 year old to grow with. We got the toddler swing in addition to this and he loves it. Hopefully we'll get at least a few years use. As he grows he can take advantage of more of the features. A good beginning set without spending a fortune.

We had a tiny issue with a part not fitting through one of the holes. A spray of cooking oil spray did the trick and it slid through.

I bought this for my 2 year old and 3 year old boys. Overall I am happy with this product. I wouldn't really recommend for older children like 8+. You definietly need to anchor it down. My boys are little and I can somewhat get away with it because they don't really know how to swing on their own but if your kids do, then anchor it down. It's cute and works as described in listing/picture. I wish it had a little more for them to do but again I picked this swingset, they have other swingsets with more. It keeps them busy and they love the swings and slide. Fun and safe.

This set is awesome! My 2 year old son loves it so far. We just put it together today. It would have taken my husband and father 30 minutes to assemble, but they had to go to the store to get some eyelit bolts for the swings (they were missing from the box). It took them 1 hour and that includes going to the store AND assembling the Step 2 picnic table we got also. Also, regarding the comments on the short bolts, my husband thinks that if the bolts were any longer, kids would be scraping their head on them. I love this set and I am very happy we chose it over a wooden set that would warp in the Florida sun!

It's a great swing set. We brought it for our 2 year old twins. They have lots of fun with it. The durabilty is great and it was very easy to assemble. My husband put it together. This is a perfect starter swing set. We added a toddler swing and our 1 1/2 yr old daughter loves to play on this for hours! A great way to get the kids outdoors if you can't make it to the park. This is a great swing set! Granddaughter played all day on this swingset and didn't want to stop. It is somewhat difficult to assemble (took about 3 hours). It needs written directions not just pictures. I was really excited when I got this for my daughter. As many have commented, you have to be pretty short and small to play inside it. However, my daughter has loved climbing up the sides, up on the bar, and turning the slide into a water slide. Our two biggest disappointments are: 1) The ropes for the swings turned into splinter givers. VERY painful. Step 2 replaced them but it happened again with the new ones. We put them up in May and the ropes were shot by the end of July!!! Now that is pretty bad. These swings never saw anything but Spring and Summer. Now I've been told to tape the ropes. 2) We've had a heck of a time recently keeping the swingset from tilting back and forth when she swings. I think the anchoring system could be better. My daughter is a very average sized 5-year old. Although, I don't really have any other type of swing sets to compare with, so perhaps they all do this eventually? I've even tried moving it as I thought the swinging motion may have just loosened the dirt over time. Still have the same issue, though. Overall, I've been pretty happy with it. Just VERY frustrated with the rope issue, especially for the price I paid for this!

I just got this the other day, and my two daughters 3 and 1 and a half, love it. It only took me 2 hours to put together, being over 100 out, that was pretty good. The only thing we had any trouble with was getting the slide in, but once you study the pictures a lot, you can get it. [...]. My kids love it, we sprayed water on the slide today.
