I bought this to have at my house for when my 2 year old granddaughter came to visit. She absolutely loves it, so much that I am buying another for her house at Camp LeJeune, NC where her United States Marine Daddy and amazing Mommy are stationed. It is heart warming to see her "cook" for Momaw and Popaw. We all laugh when he tells her baby "I'm right here baby, Mommy's cooking dinner". This will be around for many many years to come and hopefully for many more grandbabies to play with. Great Job Step2!!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

This kitchen fit all my criteria. It is a realistic color scheme, it is large with lots of features so that my child will continue to play with this as she gets older, and all of the extra sound effects and the light add incrementally to her enjoyment. I did not want a pink and purple kitchen as her room is decorated in bright colors. I did not want her to get bored with this, and while it's too early to determine, I don't think she will grow tired of it any time soon.

The one drawback to this kitchen, and to most toys with batteries these days, is that the screws used for battery compartments seem to be made of a soft metal that strips easily. I was finally able to get the backplate off the overhead light feature to load batteries, but I am concerned that I won't be able to change the batteries when they run down due to the situation with the screws.

That is minor, though. It's a fantastic addition to my child's room. It is a happy accident that the accent stickers match the paint color on her walls. I couldn't have done a better matching job if I'd tried. I love the boiling/sizzling sound effects on the stove, and my daughter loves to talk on the play phone.

Another great toy from Step 2!

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to see its beautiful, easy to clean, and made so well it will last for many many years.. I'm sure it will be in perfect shape and have to be sold or passed on to someone else.. thats how well made it is! If your lookin, dont hesitate, its a WIN WIN!!!!!!! TONS of storage space! Only thing is, for the price they should include the 300 piece food set that they sell separately! But I have NO COMPLAINTS!!!!!!! :)

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

My 21 month old trio LOVE this kitchen. Our PT helped us pick this out b/c it has a lot of 'UP' activities to encourage one of my little guys to stand for prolonged periods of time as well as work on his reaching. It is long enough for all three of them to play at once with minimal fighting.
However, oven door doesn't stay shut very well. Step 2 is sending me a magnet. Wish it had more plates and bowls to fill the slots. Fortunately, I was able to purchase extra phones from Step2. It makes great sounds and everyone wants to talk on the phone while working in their kitchen. Also, it would have been better to make the product longer to get a 'full sized' refrigerator on there. Like most of the new kitchens out there, it is way too small. Go back to the big fridge like when I was a kid, please!

Service & Delivery comments:

More plates, silverware, bowls, cups. At least 4 of each.
Needs a big fridge! Not a 'beverage station'.
Make it a tad deeper so there can be more counter space.

We bought this for our daughter's 2nd birthday. We gave it to her last week and she love it! It's the perfect size, not too big and not too small and I think she'll be able to grow with it and use it for quite a few years. I ordered directly from Step 2 which had the lowest price [...]

Service & Delivery comments:

The only problem we have with is is one of the cabinet doors does not stay shut. It's pretty amusing to watch my 2 year old try to slam it shut - she gets so frustrated. I think I may try velcro.

We love this kitchen! And, more importantly, our 16-month-old daughter LOVES this kitchen. She loves all the compartments, and bells and whistles! It wasn't the hardest thing I've ever assembled by myself, but it did take me 3 hours. It definitely would have taken less time with another set of hands. With patience, it did all come together quite wonderfully...and we are so happy. This is our second 'completely satisfied' Step 2 purchase.

A bit pricey but with how this thing is built, it will surely last thru a lot of kids. Its nice looking and we love all the realistic sounds. Had a problem with the screw on the phone that came with this unit so I called Step 2 and they had a brand new phone in my hands in 3 days, no questions asked. Pay a little more money but like most things, you get what you pay for.

This has been a really big hit at our home. We have two boys, ages 2 and 1. They both love to get into all the compartments and can spend easily an hour playing here every day taking things out and putting them back. They both love the phone and the sounds on the panels. We purchased an extra set of play food and will probably purchase an extra set of place settings so that both boys don't fight over the same things. This is great, especially as winter is coming and we'll keep both boys indoors more.

We bought this kitchen for our daughter's 2nd birthday and she has played with it everyday since! She loves it. We put it in the real kitchen so that she could play with it while mommy cooks and cleans. This has been a great way to keep her occupied while I cook but I'm still being able to play along with her and sampling all of her delicious cooking!
For the most part this product is durable. The are only 2 things I disklike about this product. One thing is that the cabinets come out easily and aren't the sturdiest when you put them back in. The second thing is there really isn't any "counter space." We had to put a table next to the kitchen so that my daughter had a place to lay out all of the food and plates.
Putting this together was not rocket science but there are several screws that are hard to manuever in but it's possible. Overall we are happy with chosing this model.

My husband and I bought this for our soon to be 2 year old daughter. She's getting this for her 2nd birthday in a couple weeks. We just put this together yesterday, to make sure we had all parts and pieces. I suggest using an electric drill, it's a little hard as a woman to get the holes going in the plastic. It took almost an hour and a half to put together and get the stickers on, not too bad, I know it won't fall apart at least. This is going to be so much fun for our daughter! I can't wait for her to see this kitchen! She's going to have so much fun with it!

This is a great kitchen, my daughter likes all the buttons and that the burner makes noises. There is plenty of room for lots of food accessories and I also store some of her toys on the top of it. Be warned it is large, 5 feet across so you need a pretty decent amount of space to fit this one. I also really like the double sink and "sprayer". I purchased some of those 3M adheasive hooks and put them on the side for hanging spoons, measuring cups, dust pan, etc and this worked great and looks very cute.

Love this kitchen. It's a really good size it's large enough that my 2 year old daughter can play with other children and not fight for space to play. Two of my brother inlaws built it in half an hour with no problems it's a really sturdy kitchen had no problems with the top piece being flimsy like I read in other reviews. It has lots of places to put dishes and food and that was the main reason I chose this kitchen for my daughter bc she loves opening drawers. She loves this kitchen especialy getting me water from the fake water dispenser at the fridge and cooking soup she loves the noise the stove makes. I would most definetly recommend this kitchen to a friend.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

I love this product, and am very happy with our decision to purchse this item. We bought this for our daughter's 2nd birthday when she started showing a ton of interest in what I was doing in the kitchen. She wanted to help stir things, stack bowls, set the table and such. So, we thought she'd really like this. After looking at plenty of kitchens made by step 2 as well as others, this kitchen (and this particular model) was the best value. It is large, but not huge. It fits well in a 4 foot space, and is not so wide that it sticks out into the room. It has all of the major kitchen appliances, including a dishwasher. (most do not have the dishwasher, which is a real bummer! Kids LOVE to help empty and load the dishwasher!)Also, most other kitchen sets do not have a faucet that turns from side to side, and a handheld sprayer that comes out of the sink. My kitchen has one, and my daughter has always been fascinated by it- and now she has one! It was great to have that touch in her kitchen set. The kitchen is beautiful- the countertops are modern, the detail and decals are great. The lights and sounds are great, and the burners are the coolest part of the whole kitchen. The boiling pot and the sizzling skillet are the most fun for the kids, along with the cordless phone that makes very realistic sounds.
This set comes with a set of accessories that is very adequate for play- it's got pots, pans, pitchers, food, silverware... everything children need for realistic play. There is no need to purchase additional food\accessories for this specific model of kitchen, whereas you will want to purchase additional kits for most of the other sets. It was included in this set.
The only thing that was a bit of an annoyance was the assembly. Not that it was difficult, but that it was very irritating that the holes were not predrilled, or even tapped. It was kind of a "you're on your own" situation. But, it all worked out, and assembly took about and hour and a half. Also, the batteries. Holy cow does it take alot of batteries. I think I counted 13 batteries all together!
The kitchen is large enough that multiple children can play at the same time and not get in each other's way. I have a 2 year old and a 6 month old, born exactly 18 months apart to the day. I love knowing that the Step 2 product line is very durable, and that the kitchen will hold up well when both of my kids are big enough to use it. Also, these things have great resale when your children outgrow it.
All in all, very pleased with this item, and Step 2 Customer Service is excellent. Highly recommend this item, and almost every Step 2 Product.

Our 15 month daughter loves her new kitchen! We actually have it in our kitchen--so she cooks while I work in the kitchen. Took a little while to assemble, but looks adorable! The only issue that we had was a sound module for the dishwasher didn't work. Hoping to have that corrected shortly. Very happy with the purchase and would highly recommend!

This thing is GREAT...Im a single Mommy...and I have to say when I dumped both boxes onto my living room floor I was intimidated. It took a total of 2 1/2 hours to put together by myself. We got the kitchen for our 4 year old daughter, but the 2 year old plays with it more. The water boiling noise is the biggest hit.

Assembly was not complicated, but it took awhile. Do not assemble while the kids wait. The "ooooh" factor of seeing it fully assembled was well worth the effort.

My husband spent about 40 min. assembling the kitchen. The only disappointment is that the doors don't line up so, they don't stay closed.
The kitchen has been a delight with our 3 year old son. The only thing I'd do different is go up a size to the grand walk-in kitchen. Contrary to my expectation, the deluxe kitchen wasn't as big as I expected.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

The kitchen looked very impressive from the pictures on line. It looked sturdy and very attractive. We were very disappointed when we opened the boxes and found it to be flimsy and many of the items did not match the picture. For example, the storage boxes that looked as if they had a weave and were very realistic in the picture, looked nothing like that in person.

Great kitchen. Perfect size for children 2 and up. Only downfall thus far is that the top portion of kitchen tends to pull away from the counter-part of kitchen. We have re-attached the two sections and it ocassionally comes apart, but does not stop the other areas from functioning--just wish it wouldn't do this considering it was not an inexpensive purchase.

I purchased this product for my daughter as a 2nd birthday present. She played for almost 4 hours. The following morning she got up and ran to play with the kitchen. She really loves it! It's an awesome kitchen but i believe there a few things that need improvement. The drawers pulls out a completely so they spend most of the time on the floor, the microwave is very difficult to open (I have to open it for my daughter because she can't open it herself),not enough food, and lastly I wish the kitchen came all ready with the holes pre-drilled so all you have to do is screw it together. Have fun putting this kitchn together! It took me about 4 hours. You will definetely need a screw gun.

My son loves this & we love that it promotes imaginative play. Even the older kids play with it. Great product, but they need to do something about the sounds it's supposed to make, they are so low that we can barely hear them. While that is a little nice for us, it's not for the 18 mo. old it was intended for, they like noise!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

My four year old daughter loves it. She cooks us dinner every night. I love the fact that it has all the appliances like a real kitchen. The light over the sink is really a nice touch. Its bright and illuminates the entire sink and cooking area. It even has a water sprayer for cleaning the dishes. The refrigerator has shelves inside and an icemaker, cold water and juice dispenser outside in the door. The utensils are just the right size for her little hands and are realistic. She absolutely loves it. My 11 year old daughter and 10 son even enjoys playing on it with her occasionally.

The only thing I would change is: the amount and variety of food that comes with it. I'm a cook (and so is she... she believes.) Having a few more pieces of meat (chicken leg or maybe a steak) and a few cans of canned food to go in the cupboard would be nice.

Overall, a wonderful product. Any little homemaker would love to own this lovely kitchen.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

We bought this for our daughter’s 1st birthday and she loves it! She is going to get many many years of fun out of this kitchen. We were considering a few different Step2 kitchens and ultimately decided to get her this one even though it maybe a little more then she needs right now. It’s a well made product that will last many years so we decided there was no reason to buy a smaller one now only to upgrade later. However I must say I still have my eyes on that “Grand Walk In Kitchen”! Kudos to Step2 for the stickers that come with it. They are not cheap paper stickers so if you miss stick them you are able to replace them without tearing or having those horrible white lines through them and they stay once stuck. I do wish it came with more food. We’ve been waiting well over a month to order the 101 piece play food assortment that has been unavailable. Hope it comes available soon.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

This is the 2nd kitchen we've bought thru Step2 in the past. The first was the Lifestyle Partytime Kitchen; when my daughter was 3 yrs old. Recently we were victims of a major flood (lost just about everything). The kitchen was one of the few items that survived the devastation. I was surprised to find that the electronics still worked; after being coated in mud & debris. Amazing! Sadly, we lost all the accessories that came with it. So we decided to buy a brand new one & upgrade to the larger Lifestyle Deluxe Kitchen. Both were easy to assemble, easy to clean, & extremely durable. Not to mention very cute! We've had many people comment that they wished their real kitchens were as nice! My daughter (who's now 5) just loves her new "big girl" kitchen! Highly recommend this great product!

My parents bought this kitchen for my 3 children (ages 9, 5 and 3 - the 9 year old with autism and severe disabilities) for Christmas this year! Although I must admit putting it together on my own (I am divorced) with a small time frame on Christmas Eve was a NIGHTMARE, it was well worth the stress! My kids play with this kitchen on a daily basis! It truly also includes a lot of imaginative play! I would highly recommend it (but be sure to have one or more sets of extra hands to help put it together!)

Our little girl was 20 mo. old when she got her kitchen. She loved it! Her daddy and I have been eating great "meals" since she got it. Everybody that comes over to play spends lots of time in the kitchen. They enjoy the burner sounds though we did have to teach our little one how to make them work. The kitchen is also very easy to move around. We did purchase extra food items to go with it and had no trouble finding storage space.

Suitable for multiple children to use at a time.
I have a daycare with 6 children and they are all able to use it at the same time. I have 2 children of my own that play with it, 8 and 5 and they love it too.
The only thing I do not like is the buttons on the microwave, dishwasher, and stove are barely audible (maybe that's a good thing!!)

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

My 17-month-old son has increased his imaginative play through the use of this play kitchen. We gave it to him for Chanukah, and his imaginative growth has been incredible since that time. I've watched him move the sprayer back and forth over dishes while making a "shhhhh" sound to imitate water spraying. He's placed plastic cookies and cakes on the oven tray and carefully placed it inside the oven to bake. Then, later on, he pulls it out and shares it with other family members. All at 17 months!!!

My 7-year-old daughter loves to play with this kitchen as well. It's a fun way for her to interact with her 17-month-old brother, in a way that she doesn't feel is too babyish.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

This kitchen is my dream come true. It is amazing. My son loves it and spends hours playing with it. He got it for his second birthday. It has plenty of storage, very realistic appliances and it is very attractive. The only reason I give it four stars and not five is that there is essentially no counter space. The huge sink in the middle becomes a counter space. I would prefer if it only had a one side sink and a counter space next to it.

We bought this kitchen for our daughter's second birthday. She loves it. It's great that it makes real-life noises. The only con is that the screws to the telephone were in so tight, that they were stripped when trying to get them out. We are unable to put batteries in the phone. But overall, this is a great product.

After much research, considered other ones, I went back to this one. I bought it for my 4yr, 3 yr old grandsons for their birthday. They love to cook. The look on their faces was priceless. They forgot all about the other toys they got and started playing with their new kitchen. They found places to store the food, the dishes, the pots and pans. I wish it had come with more food. The electronic key pads with the appliances could have done abit more. Overall this was a big hit with the kids and myself. It was easy to put together, and it is sturdy enough for two boys. They will eventually share with their 1 yr old sister. Very happy customer.

This kitchen is adorable, just make sure you have somebody handy that is willing to use the power screwdriver, it takes about 1 and half hours to assemble it does however have great instructions and everything went well as it could, it does take some muscle for assembly though, some of the hole's are not predrilled for construction, but other than that we have twins and they love it, it's a super sturdy product, very nice my twins are 5 and not at all too big for it, i'm sure the will get at least 2-3 more years of play from it.. it's great

We brought the kitchen for our two and a half year old grandson and his one year old twin sisters. The first thing he does when he comes to our house is to say, "Let's go play in my new kitchen." He bakes fine pretend cookies and fries up a great burger!! He especially likes the boiling and sizzling sounds on the burner when cooking. The telephone, oven, dishwasher and microwave sounds are so awesome. The kitchen is larger enough for his twin sisters to be pushing buttons and opening doors (as 1 year olds will do) and still not bother the master chef TOO much.

We got this for our girls 2nd birthday and it has been a HUGE hit! The next morning I could barely get them to eat breakfast. All they wanted to do was go play with their kitchen. They love how the stove cooks and boils - what a cool feature! My DH put it together in an hour and a half - although I should note that he's sort of gited when it comes to assembling things. I know from my own growing up that the play kitchen was the pinnacle of our toys. I have no doubt it will be the same for our girls as well. Great purchase!

My only disappointment was not purchasing the play food assortment; the kitchen only comes with a few.

My 21 mo old son loves his kitchen. He generally has a short attention span for toys, but he will play with this continuously. It really stimulates creative play. I would definitely recommend.

Although this may seem expensive to some, I believe it is worth it for the quality, durability and hours of fun my two boys (ages 1 and 3)have had with it. Plenty of space for both boys to play with it at the same time. It is easy to assemble and the doors fit just fine upon arrival. Only disappointment was the noises the appliances make - not too realistic, but still fun for kids to play with. I ordered a little tikes style 1st and was very unhappy with the storage space - no room for imagination to take place.

I purchased this for my 20 months daughter. It is a huge hit. I bought it as one of our family members also own it and it was Nicole's favorite toy at their house. It was very easy to assemble, and it is something she plays with daily. It has more features and sounds than I imagined. Indeed the only thing I would add is that the sounds are quiet and can be hard to hear. Also, our refrig door is hard to open and tight. I am hoping with use that loosens. Otherwise, great investment and so worth the money. I had purchased a cheaper kitchen but I wish I had just bought this one first.

I (Santa) bought this kitchen for my 4year old this past Christmas. I bout it about a month early because I thought it may be on back order since it's so popular, but to my surprise was at my office in a couple weeks. She LOVES it! It is quite large and there are lots of cabinets and plenty to keep her entertained. Her father is mechanical, so although there are a lot of pieces, it wasn't difficult to put together. A little time consuming, but with a cordless, hand held drill is was simple. I love Step5 products!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

My three year old wanted this kitchen for Christmas sooo bad. Well Santa did not disappoint her. Emily got her kitchen, and has been loving it ever since. The sounds of the oven and the microwave and dishwasher, just excite her... most of all she loves the phone. She brings me "lunch" when I'm working, and spends a lot of time with it. We were considering the walk in kitchen, but decided to go with this one, and I'm glad we did or the big sisters wouldn't have been able to join. We put the table and chairs nearby and her big sisters (ages 12 and 11) will sit in them and be "served" by their baby sister. The older girls joined their sister at the table many many times and had real lunches with her in her new "kitchen and dining room." Their little sister was so proud that her big sissies wanted to be in her play room! :-)

We did get the kitchen missing the silverware drawer, but she didn't seem to notice. We called Step2 and they are sending it over asap, so she does not have to go without. Thanks, Step2!

The kitchen is as beautiful and cute as described. We all love it!

The assembly wasn't too bad (2 hours), but we had to open some of the holes for the screws-- not a big deal though.

The one design feature that bothers me a little is that the drawers are not attached and the kids pull them off all the time.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

My 2 1/2 old daughter loves to pretend and I shopped for weeks looking for a kitchen to purchase for Christmas. I read all the reviews on every kitchen available and decided to go with the biggest and the best, so I thought. I liked this kitchen because the dishwasher, stove, oven and microwave all made sounds and provided more storage then the others. However, the only sound that was close to the real thing was the stove. The other sounds are low and does not come close to real appliances. My daughter never uses the microwave because it's small and not many things fit in it. However, the silverware drawer was a hit. Good luck on your kitchen search.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

Bought this kitchen knowing that it would have more room for both of my daughters to play with it together. My eldest is 2 1/2 and my younger one is 15 mons. They both play and love the kitchen. One cleans up and the other pulls all the food and dishes out. I would recommend buying some extra food and dishes. If you don't mind extra clean-up.
Only con: it wasn't difficult to put together as long as you have a power drill. Would have been a lot harder without it. Took just under an hour start to finish.

This kitchen is absolutely worth the money and you can't beat free shipping!! My husband and I put it together in about 2 hours (applying stickers also included in that time) and it went together easily. My 2 1/2 year old girl loves it! She cooks us meals and the one burner makes cute realistic sounds with two of the pots! The only downfall is you have to apply all the stickers yourself, so get them on right the first time, but they went on fairly easy. We bought more food to go with it but it does come with quite a bit. All of our relatives (Grandmas and Aunts to my daughter) had to come over to see it, they were all very impressed and enjoyed their meals prepared by my daughter!! Worth the money!!!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

My two year old got this for Christmas. She was super excited about it. There are just enough accessories. I'm glad they all fit in the different cubbies and aren't lying around the playroom. Some reviewers have complained because the volume of the electronics are too soft..but I think that's a bonus! (This thing takes 8 AA and 5 AAA batteries! My daughter already has too much stuff that's electronic.) It did take a while to put together...at least 1.5 hrs, but is really worth it. The microwave is difficult for her to open, and I had to add little furniture pads to the oven so that it would stay closed. Other than that, it is great quality. Hopefully it'll be used for years!

This product was definitely a good purchase. It has many gadgets and my daughter really enjoys it. I believe she will grow well with it and come to appreciate it more as she grows. The only negative thing I have to say about this is that the assembly is not easy. The dish rack is almost impossible to attach unless you have small hands. The other negative in assembly was that some of the holes were not completely perforated when it arrived so I had to punch through some rather thick plastic. It is big and realistic - I even have fun playing with it. :)

This is a wonderful product. My little granddaughter just loves it. Plays with it all day long. Also very attractive. I would like to see it come with more play food. I tried to order some but it is currently unavailable. I will wait for it to become available as I am afraid the off brands will contain lead. [...] Assembly only took about an hour. Quite simple. This is a long term toy they will get years of funtime from. And yes it does make my real kitchen and me jealous.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

Our 19 month old son loves this kitchen, a Christmas present this year. He pretends to cook food on the stove (with sizzling and boiling sounds), pushes the buttons to cook in the microwave, pulls out the sink sprayer to clean the dishes and loves putting all of his food and dishes in all of the cabinets and drawers. As parents, we especially love all of the storage in this kitchen: there are 3 cabinets, 3 deep drawers, a utensil drawer, a shelf, and space inside all of the appliances (oven, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge) for storage. [...] Great item and service!

I love this kitchen!! It has very nice features, the burner makes noise, the light turns on, and the buttons make noise. My daughter always wants to "cook supper"! The drawers do pull out easily but she mainly puts them back in. There is plenty of storage for play food. It took my husband 3-4 hours to assemble with a drill, but I think the stickers are what held him up. Overall, I love this kitchen set and so does my daughter!!

We and our 1 yo love it. Assembly not that difficult. Need 2 people though. Don't care for the white drawers as they are sort of awkward but my kid loves everything about it. Daughter is 15 months. Very attractive. Comes with lots of accessories but very little food. Daughter has to turn the kitchen light on whenever she passes by it. She loves it so much. It will be around for years. She pretends plays for hours. [...] Boxes are huge. Cheapest price around.

Reasonably easy to put together although many of the holes needed for the screws were not done ahead of time; I've noted multiple other reviewers with the same criticism. Not enough foods come with the kitchen, for the price. We will be buying her the 101 food piece set as an accompaniment. Most importantly, however, my 2 year old daughter loves it, as she has from the moment we gave it to her.

My daughter and I brought the kitchen for Christmas from Santa for her daughter my grandchild who is 15 months old. She loves it and so do we. We have it housed in our kitchen so she can cook along with us in her space. It kepts her busy and it is a great educational tool. The set is durable and nice looking. She will have years of play with it and it can be passed down to the upcoming kids. The only thing I would suggest is increasing the sound on the phone, oven and dishwasher. The burner that makes sound is great, but only works with the two pans that came with it. I would like to purchase a couple more of the pans that go with the burner. Thank you!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

I bought this for my boys, ages 3 years and 13 months, for Christmas. The older boy likes to "cook" and the younger one enjoys opening and closing the doors and pulling out the drawers. There wasn't a whole lot of food that came with the kitchen, but they got some from grandma and I don't think we need anything else to make the kitchen complete. I left off the sticker border for the kitchen because it looks a little outdated, and I think it makes the kitchen more gender neutral. This also helped my husband adjust to the fact that we bought boys a kitchen! The assembly was easy as long as you have an electric drill and two people. Overall I would buy this kitchen again and am happy with the purchase and all that you get for the money.

This kitchen is an excellent purchase for little girls. My daughter is ecstactic about it and, unlike other sets, this one is not misleading on the size. Wonderful Kitchen, Great Design and Quality, Directions need to be modified to list all of the parts as there were screws missing and I did not know until I had started the assembly. The parts list needs to specify which sound units goes with which appliance. Overall easy to assemble but will need help anchoring the counter to the base. The screws were just a bit short to do the job properly. I would highly recommend this kitchen as it is beautiful and very well made.

My son wanted a kitchen for Christmas. We looked & looked but weren't that impressed until I found this product. It [...]was relatively easy to assemble & is very entertaining for my 3yr. old son. I only had a slight problem with attaching the decorative railing over the window as it a small tight fitting area. My advice would be to put the railing on first before you secure the back wall pieces together. We ended up having to take the back apart to get it on securely. Other than that my son has been busy making cookies, cakes, milkshakes & fried eggs for us. I think we have a little chef in the making.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

Our daughter just turned 2 years old right after Christmas. Last year we bought her a "little" kitchen designed for one year olds. She loved it so much that we knew she was ready for the DELUXE Kitchen this year---we wanted her to have something big for her birthday.

She was thrilled when she came downstairs and saw her new Big girl kitchen. She has already played with it for hours. Her big brother, who is 4, also loves playing with it. This kitchen is big enough for them both play with it and stay busy.

The design is great. It is realistic with the noises it makes, the light above the sink, the cute accessories it comes with. We are very satisfied with our purchase. It was worth every penny. It offers great imaginative play. We feel this kitchen will grow with her and are very very happy with it. It took a little time to put together---very sturdy and well made. Would recommend over and over again. It is a little ones dream come true kitchen. She loves it!!!!!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

I read ALOT of reviews on the different kitchens. The thing I read most was the missing pieces and hard assembly on this kitchen. I had none of that. The assembly took my husband and I about two hours and the instructions were pretty easy to understand. My daughter loves to play with the stove feature and my son loves the sounds everything makes and they both love the microwave (maybe because mommy uses hers so much!) they are not tall enought to reach the microwave so they have learned to pull down the oven door and stand on it to reach--this should tell you that it is pretty durable. Two 25 pound children standing on a door. Anyway, I have had good luck with step 2. I have a few of their products and will buy more.

I read some reviews prior to ordering and was a bit nervous about the assembly, many said it would take too much time. However, my husband had it together in no time, I put the stickers on and added the accessories in about 1.5 hours. The only change I would make would be a design change to add more space in the cabinets & drawers.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

Our three-year-old received this from Santa this year. It was definitely one of her top gifts! While other toys are already forgotten, she plays with this kitchen all the time and can't wait to show it to people. It was very easy to assemble (according to my husband) and is very sturdy. We will have to buy more play food, but otherwise feel we got a great deal and a wonderful imaginative play toy for years to come.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

After I knew exactly what I wanted for my daughter for Christmas and had this ordered...I, myself, was like an excited child waiting for it to arrive. When I was able to assemble it, there were times when I knew having a drill was handy because there was no way I would be able to turn the screws in the durable plastic (there are a few prepositioned holes while other places are not). However, drilling made it even faster to put together and I had it put up within an hour and a half. My 2 year old daughter walked in Christmas morning dragging her bear by the paw. When she finally saw the kitchen, it took a minute to sink in. Her hand lost the grip on the teddy bear and it fell to the floor. Then...she started to point and scream in excitement. My daughter and my son (ok, me too) have since played endlessly with it. I believe I made the right choice in the kitchen size because anything smaller would be a battle for space between two or more children. There is enough kitchen to go around which makes mom very happy. I have a feeling that this kitchen is so well made that it will be with us for years to come. Great kitchen!

from the time my 2 year old son noticed the fully assembled kitchen he couldn't get enough of it! every guest that visits he needs to make a meal for & show off how much he knows about all the appliances & food groups. plus he prefers to have on his chef outfit while he plays with it, & takes it all very seriously. his friends love it as well & they've learned to "cook" together & share all the many pieces with no problem. the pictures & videos we have with him using the kitchen, making food, cleaning up, baking, cooking, etc... are priceless & i'm sure when he gets older he'll really enjoy watching how happy he was during this time.

I bought this kitchen as a Christmas present for my preschool-age grandchildren to enjoy at my home. I have grown children of my own, and they are all parents themselves now. I help them out by watching my grandchildren during the day so my children and their spouses can work. I read good reviews about the LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen by Step 2 and knew it was just what I wanted to have in my home for the kids. It's large enough for 2 or 3 children to play with it at the same time. It's sturdy, looks nice, and the kids like the sound features and kitchen light. One of my SIL's put it together without any problem....and very quickly too! Like one of my grandchildren said when they first saw it, "Let's get cooking, grandma!"

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

I have a 2 1/2 year old boy and a 1 year old boy. We got this kitchen for them for x-mas and they both love it! The youngest takes great glee in opening the doors and drawers generally exploring without being told "no!! don't open that!! stay out of there!" and the oldest loves to "cook" meals for everyone. It only comes with a few food items, so we purchased a 60 item set of food and dishes to go with it. Assembly wasn't terribly hard - thank goodness for the battery operated screwdriver - it made a huge difference!

My 20 month year old daughter loves her new kitchen! She enjoys hearing the sound effects while she is cooking dinner for mommy and daddy. She makes sure to warn us "It's Hot" while her pans sizzle on the stove. The only complaint that I have is that there were few accessories but it just so happened that my daughter already had other play food/dinnerware items so I wasn't disappointed. All in all, this was a great investment!

My almost 2 yr old daughter got this kitchen for Christmas and so far it's been great! She saw it first, before any other presents and then wouldn't open anything else. She has been playing with it ever since.I love how detailed it is and how she can do everything with it that I do in our real kitchen. It was a little difficult to assemble, but for a kitchen that size and with all the amenities, I didn't expect it to be really easy.[...]

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen:

My 2.5 year old daughter loves this kitchen and I believe she is at the age that she is just beginning to appreciate it, so we anticipate many more years of enjoyment.

She was given this kitchen for X-mas. It took my husband and I approximately an hour of relaxed work to assemble it (i.e. - 2 adults working together) before X-mas so she could have the finished product for the holiday. We encountered no major problems though a few (of the many) instructions were a little off - nothing we couldn't figure out ourselves, but make sure you pay attention to what you are doing.

I wish it came with a few more accessories (my daughter enjoys tea parties with her dolls and this kitchen comes with 2 place settings and 10 pieces of food), but am not disappointed with what we got (we bought additional accessories for her). One of the doors does not close snuggly but we were able to figure out a way to fix it.

As advertised there is A LOT of storage space - which we love for clean up. The light, burner, dishwasher buttons, microwave buttons and stove buttons (all require batteries) give it a more realistic feel.
