My only complain would be the screws at the back scratches the wall. I simply covered them with anti-scratch pad stickers(the one you use to protect hardwood floor from getting scratched by the dining chairs) and it's fixed!

It is adorable but the door to the oven would not close. My husband felt the whole kitchen looked cheap and was poorly made. The service department was great at Step 2. We own alot of products from Step2 and felt disappointed with the quality of the kitchen.

This is a great kitchen for a toddler. My 2 1/2 year old daughter loves it. I love the fact that it has multiple storage areas for their little pots/pans and dishes to be stored. Also,there is a flatware drawer. I was surprised to see that. Improvements would include having the sink make noise and by including an additional burner that makes the sizzling sound too. But these are the adult observations, my daughter could care less. My husband thought assembly was easy but warns everyone that some holes may need to be drilled.

Purchased for my 2 year old granddaughter and she loves it! I love it! She plays quietly using her imagination with her dolls. This is much better than TV and computers. Its very sturdy and if you read the directions its not that difficult to assemble.

This kitchen is just the right size--it fits my 2 year old and my friend's 4 and 6 year olds when they come over to play. The only con is that the oven door does not stay closed--I have to hold it closed with duct tape.

Grandsons love imaginative play and making pretend meals for Grandma is a favorite when they come to visit. They also love the realistic buttons on the microwave and oven, but especially the sounds on the stovetop for boiling water and sizzling. The phone is a nice addition but they are too used to real phones to pretend much with it. Oh, and there's a fair amount of storage too.

This is the best kitchen! It is the perfect size with all the features so it isn't too big or too small. I ave had it almost a year and everything is working great on it. We got this for our daughter for her 2nd birthday. She loves playing with all the dishes and acting like she can wash her hands. The play phone is great and she really enjoys this kitchen play center. I didn't like that it required different size batteries for the sound makers and the light above the sink never did work. But overall this makes a great play center and even my older son (6) plays with it too.

This product is great. Easy enough to assemble and has all your major appliances with sounds. One negative is that the drawers come out completely - so my daughter pulls the drawer to take something out and it falls out. It would be nice if there were stoppers. Other than that - this is great fun. It is in my kitchen and my daughter loves to play there. Also, it looks nice - not like a little kiddy toy, but like an upscale nice kitchen.

After much research, purchased this kitchen for my daughter's second birthday. Wasn't sure if she'd like or not and was afraid to buy something so big to just have it sit there. We didn't need to worry about that though - she loves it! When her dad brought it out from the garage assembled, she turned around, saw it and screamed with delight and ran towards the kitchen and started playing immediately. She hasn't stopped since. Every morning when she wakes up she goes straight to her kitchen. It's a great size (not too big) but has everything that you would need. Bought an extra set of food, and a couple of other little sets to go with it. Also looks nice in her room. Great purchase!

We bought the lifestyle dream kitchen for our daughter's 2nd birthday. price wise, it is very reasonable and value for money. assemble took a little while but we managed well with relatively good instructions given. the kitchen is very realistic and captures the imagination of my child. she was so excited when she first saw it and we would spent at least an hour each day on it. it provides me with quality time with my child and makes a great toy during playdates. all the kids who came to our place love it.

We love how modern it is in that there is a phone in the kitchen, how the appliances make sounds, and the refridgerator is set up to look like water is dispensed in the door. Since I was recently unemployed I was worried my 22 month old would be bored; I felt I was competing with the daycare activities she was used to. I've always wanted a kitchenette as a child so I thought this would be a good investment. I received it in a timely manner and in good condition.

My daughter is happy with it. I would have given it a higher grade if the ice maker made lifelike noises too.

As she matures she will appreciate this kitchenette even more. Most interest in toys last about a few months, I believe the dream kitchenette will keep her interest for a few years.

We got this for my 2yr old's birthday. Probably should have purchased sooner because she loves it. Her brother is 6. He plays with it too, when she is playing with it. It's just the right size for both of them to play and not step on each other. We have it in the living room. Unless they are playing with it you don't even notice it. Part of the reason is the neutral colors. [...]. When our kitchen arrived the counter top was scratched and faded (like it was used?)and our stickers were bent. BUT I called and Step 2 sent out new items that day. So other than having to put it together for the party and then take apart and reassemble when the new countertop came, it turned out fine. The new countertop is perfect.As for assembly. The drill is not a "required" tool. But I can't imagine putting this together with out one. The smaller pieces already have holes and I did those with a screwdriver. But once you get to attaching the counter and overhead piece you will need the drill. The instructions are pretty straight foward. With lots of interuptions it took me about 2 hours. If I could have been alone in the house maybe it would have only taken an hour or so. Very easy and definitly worth it.An additional set of dishes and food will be in the future but not a must for the kids to enjoy the kitchen. It's called imagination!

Great kitchen! Had some trouble getting the stove assembly apart to attach it. Assembly is much easier if there is someone else there to help! But the kids love it and fight over the cups and pots and pans. Nothing but culinary joy!

My 2 year old boy LOVES this. Only bad thing is the oven door doesn't stay shut. We used a swiss army knife to make an indent to keep it shut. The back panel screw holes didn't line up either but that we resolved by checking before hand.

Has lots of things to open and close and things can't fall into little corners that you can't get out of. My 5 year old enjoys it too.

We bought this for our 15 month old son because he is obsessed with opening and closing cabinets. He absolutely loves it. He sits in front of it and just opens and closes everything on it over and over again. He loves the sounds made by pushing all the buttons. (And there are lots of different sounds, not just a few like on most toys.) It's also a great way to teach kids to stand, because he pulls himself up to reach the higher cabinets and features. Now he's learning to put things in and take things out. It's just a wonderful toy and well worth the money if you want something to really stimulate and occupy your child for more than 5 minutes.

It has even more realistic working things on it than what's in the description. There are so many other reviews about how difficult the assembly was and how the instructions were hard to follow. My grandsons love this kitchen ! They are 2 1/2 & 1 yr. and both play with it. Grandpa put it together in 2 hours. As always, the instructions could have been better. Use the picture on the box as well as diagrams. My older grandson loves the microwave sounds and the stove top flashing lights. The little one likes moving the drawers and opening doors. The size is good, not too big and not too small for the space available. We had purchased a Step2 sandbox last year and based our decision on the good quality of it. My daughter just turned 2, my son will be 5 next week. They both love the kitchen. My 2 yr old loves to PUT things, and there are lots of places to PUT in this kitchen. Someone else's review advised using a power drill to assemble, and that was really GREAT advice. My husband did the drill work while i did the stickers and put batteries in the various compartments. Working together, we had it together in 35 minutes. At first i thought all those batteries in separate compartments was a little over the top. However, with each appliance having its own 2-3 battery compartment, you'll actually replace the batteries LESS. The light above the sink is a real favorite.

I absolutely love this kitchen for my 20 month old son. I set it up in his bedroom and he plays with it many times throughout the day. He mimics what he sees us doing in our kitchen. He loves the buttons on the microwave, oven and phone, and the 2 noises that stovetop makes depending on the pot that is placed upon it. He also likes to turn the light on and off. He loves opening the refrigerator and pretending to get water from the water dispenser on the refrigerator door. I purchased MELISSA & DOUG play food items to go with this as the food items that came with the kitchen are made in china and are made of flimsy plastic. I researched a lot of kitchens before buying this one and am thrilled with my purchase. It took me about an hour and a half to put it together with an electric screwdriver. The instructions were very clear. There were pictures of the screws so that it was easy to tell which ones went in which places. It is very sturdy. Don't forget to buy batteries when you purchase this as batteries are not included. Also, to install the batteries, you need the very small "+" screwdriver. GREAT KITCHEN!

I would agree, we have had it for a few weeks and love it. It was VERY easy to assemble. I read horror stories about assembly times on the LT products. I researched alot of kitchens before deciding to purchase this one. I chose this one because I felt it had alot of features and was a good size for the price. My 2 yr old and my 9 mos old both love this kitchen. It is the perfect height for them both. My 9 mos old loves to cruise from one end to the other and explore what is in the drawers. My 2 yr old loves to pretend to cook. She gets a kick out of all the fun noises and buttons to push. She also loves to pretend to wash her hands which reinforces good hygene, a plus for any parent!! I found this Kitchen in a xmas Catalog, and I wanted it for my daughter's 2nd bday...but they had sold out of them and then came across the step 2 website....lovd it from the min. The design is very attractive. As soon as we got it assembled, our grandson started "working the buttons" to the microwave and oven. He loves the sizzling and bubbling sounds of the stove. We "ate" pizza and corn all evening! Great for pretend play, group play and learning to organize.

I read a lot of reviews on this kitchen before I purchased it. I needed something a two year old boy and a four year old girl could play with. It really fills the bill! There are quite a few accessories, could be more, but the kids go to my kitchen and grab some 'extras'. lol! It's strong enough for the two year old to climb on and stand up, yet pretty enough for the four year old to be entertained. I put this together with a regular screwdriver. An electric would be nicer. I did it by myself, but it would be better to have another person. Didn't take long, but take the advice of one review and put the stickers on before you put it all together. That is much easier. I could rattle on and on about this kitchen. There are better ones on the market, but not at this price! [...]This little kitchen is a real bargain for the price.

We bought this kitchen for our 2 year old daughter and she loves it. It is perfectly sized where it doesn't take up too much room but is still big enough for her to enjoy. The assembly did take a while but the instructions were very easy to follow.

I absolutely love this kitchen! I keep it in my kitchen so my daughter can pretend to cook or clean whenever I do. This is one toy that holds her attention for any amount of time, and she keeps going back to it throughout the day. There is great storage space for food, dishes, etc. It actually came with too many pots and pans-they only needed to include the ones that let you hear the sounds. It's very durable- my daughter (& son) can be very destructive and they haven't torn it apart-my daughter tried to climb on it! The price was just right as well. I wouldn't go for the pricier kitchens, because this one is just perfect in size, design and functionability. The only slight downfall is it took us 2 hrs to put the whole thing together start to finish, but it's worth it!

My son loves to spend time playing in his kitchen every day! We have it set up in our dining room so he can play in his kitchen when mom or dad is in the big kitchen. I love this kitchen. When it arrived, one of the knobs was broken, but I couldn't see returning it for one broken knob. My husband tried to glue it but it keeps coming off. Other than that, I feel it was a great buy.

This is a great product. We had originally bought a Little Tykes kitchen because it was a little cheaper and we could buy it at the store instead of waiting for delivery. After partially assembling that kitchen we decided to return it because it the pieces didn't seem to fit together properly. The fridge and cabinet doors didn't easily open and close, which just won't due with small children. We ordered this kitchen and couldn't be happier. We were missing a the door to the oven. When we called Step 2, they sent one to us and we received it within a few days. This size kitchen has everything we hoped for. We are glad that we didn't get the larger one. Several children can play at once and it isn't too obtrusive in our living room.

I purchased this product for my daycare which I always look for quality and durability since at least six children are going to be playing with it each day. The kids and I love the sounds it makes, that several can play at the same time, there are places for the dishes and pans,the light turns on over the sink, baskets and drawers can be removed (dump and fill). This product was just the right height for 14 months to 4yr old children in my group.

This little kitchen has captured the whole family. My 22 month old daughter absolutely loves playing with the kitchen all day every day! The kitchen has so much to do that it easily keeps her entertained by herself for quite awhile. Love the design and it looks so nice in our house. The only thing I would change would be the boarder design... it's peaches... not my favorite! I would also like to have seen some more play food included. It was easy to set up as it came mostly assembled. Without looking at the directions we got it together in less than half an hour, stickers included. It does take 12 batteries, which we didn't have on hand.

Love that it comes with a lot of accessories. The boys love the light in their kitchen and love to use the sizzling pans and the realistic phone.

After reading reviews of OTHER kitchens from FP and misc. vendors, I was afraid that my boys would be too big for this kitchen. My VERY TALL two year old fits at it perfectly, and my gigantic five year old loves it and has a great time at the counter.

We bought this for our daughter's 2 year old birthday. She loves it! It took my husband under an hour to put together-although he loves his power drill-it seemed rather easy. My parents who live several hours away own the larger version, so I knew the quality would be great. My 2 year old is tall for her age but the height is perfect and even our 6 year old daughter enjoys playing with her. We wish the sink made noise, but other than that, all the noises make the playing pretend really fun. Just be careful if its a surprise, because the box they ship the product in has a picture of the kitchen on the box!! I recently purchased this product for my sunday school classroom. It was very important to find a product that was durable as well as fun and attractive for the kids. After reading several reviews, this product received almost 5 stars from everyone. Beware of other kitchens. I read several reviews of wood kitchens that fell apart as soon as the kids started playing with them. I thouroughly felt that it was worth a little extra money to purchase a product that I knew would last.

So far the kids are loving the kitchen. I love the real features like the boiling pot and sizzling skillet. I also assigned one girl to make sure that the light above the sink always gets turned off (to conserve batteries), and she is doing a great job. I also really appreciated the fact that I could order this product directly from Step 2. I was able to save over $73 dollars buying it from Step 2 rather than ordering it from another retailer.

I just bought this kitchen for my three year old daughter. She was so excited when we got the box. She just could not wait until I finished to assmble the kitchen. After looking at many other kitchens I finally decided on this one and I am very pleased with it. I purchased it for my son [2 1/2] because he often wants to cook with me. Now having his own kitchen with realistic sounds and features, he can 'cook' whenever he wants! I think the stove burner sound effects (sizzle & boiling)are a great added feature! One small down side is that the phone rings very low and is difficult to hang up. However, after a few attempts, my son has figured it out. Also, the plates do not stay in the plate holder and fall out each time the unit is bumped. Even though it is a bit pricy, I am very pleased with this purchase, especially since going directly through Step2, who offered it at a lower price than any of the retailers I researched.

I purchased this kitchen for my 16-month-old daughter after reviewing all available play kitchens online and reading multiple reviews. Although my daughter is still a bit young to use all features of this kitchen she already loves it and plays with it every day. She is already pretending that she cooks and serves food to my husband and I as well as her dolls and stuffed animals. The realistic noise features are great (my daughter loves the phone) and she loves opening and closing all the cabinets and drawers. I read all the other owner reviews of the many kitchens available in the marketplace. I was glad I did, I never thought that cabinet space in a play kitchen would matter...it does. This model received the best ratings and wasn't too big as to overwhelm our family room. My 2.5 yr old daughter loves it. Only issue was Santa didn't put it together until Xmas Eve and the electronics pack was not in the box. One phone call and few days later, the microwave, stove burner and oven noise makers arrived. My mother bought this kitchen for my 18 month old for Christmas after we spent alot of time comparing kitchens. I could not be happier with our choice. Mother of two young girls ages 3 and 5. They both like playing with the kitchen, both together and seperately. Even older children (boys and girls, ages 6 and 7) that come over to play enjoy it. The only con that we can find with it besides a very time consuming assembly is that some of the parts come off easily. But, they are also easily put back on. And, I think it would capture the kids attention for longer periods of time it if had more realistic interactive play, i.e. more working parts/lights and sounds. I bought this kitchen for my 18 month old for Christmas and she absolutely loves it. My 6 year old also plays with it all the time. The kitchen was easy to put together; I even did it by myself with a hand held screw driver because my electric one broke. From start to finish, it took me about an hour. My youngest child climbs on it (yes I mounted it to the wall), she yanks and pulls on the doors; and yet I have had no problems with anything breaking or distorting. I was a bit surprised however, that it didn't come with more accessories, but both of my children didn't seem to mind, and I ended up buying a ton more anyway.This was recommended to me from my sister-in-law, and I would highly recommend it to anyone with young children.

The only con: like most other comments, the assembly was complicated and some of the holes that were needed weren't pre drilled. Also, there was a gouge in part of the plastic from the poor packaging, but luckily it was covered up from another piece when it was assembled. When we first received it I was disappointed because it looked really small, but once we finally got it put together it is a perfect size. It has great storage space even for other dishes and food that we bought for it. The dish rack on top really does hold the plates and bowls, even ones that didn't come with it. It's been a great kitchen so far and well worth the money. My 2 year old loves the sounds it makes, the light, and all the buttons. The "sporks" that it came with aren't anything to brag about, but the other accessories are plenty to keep her busy. We bought extra accessories, but really didn't need to after all.

We purchased this kitchen for our 19 month old boy/girl twins for Christmas. Since they didn't really "get" the concept of Christmas presents, we wanted to surprise them with one big gift that they could both use. This kitchen is great! We set it up on Christmas Eve - it did not take long at all and was easy to do. When the kids saw it Christmas morning, they didn't want to do anything else but play with their kitchen. They love the buttons that make noise (thankfully they are not too loud or obnoxious). They love pretending to cook things on the stove top. They do use the oven door as a step stool to reach the microwave, but so far, it has not fallen off. It seems very durable and I hope we have this kitchen for a long time!

I got this for my not quite two year old daughter for christmas and it was by far her favorite gift. I looked around at a lot of different kitchens and companies and finally settled on this one. It seemed to be the best for the amount I wanted to spend. The assembly really wasn't that hard, it just took a couple of hours and I did it completely by myself without having to ask for help from my daughter's father. The only thing about it I don't like are the colors - soooo boring.

I did my research before choosing a kitchen for my two year old son and found that no other kitchens even come close to the Step 2 kitchens. I chose the Dream kitchen because it has enough space for two children to play side by side, yet it is not too big. I could not be any happier with my choice. My son plays with his kitchen constantly and so does everyone else who enters our house. It impresses everyone! My husband did not have any trouble with assembly and the quality is great. Step 2 has excellent customer service and awesome products, you can't go wrong! By the way, my sister purchased the Party Time kitchen for my niece and we are just as happy with it.

We love this kitchen! I searched for a long time and was choosing between a wooden one and one of these. I went for this one just because it makes the noises and has so many cabinets and drawers. I think that this is the best version. Others like the Grand kitchen or the delux kitchen are a waste of more money when you can have this one and it does the trick. Great product!

I love this kitchen. We ordered it for our 14 month old and while she is a little young, she still loves it. I can tell she will use it for a long time to come. It seems very sturdy..as my daughter pulls the oven down and stands on it to reach the microwave. She loves all the sounds, but I wish the fridge/water dispenser made noise (my daughter always pushes the fake buttons). I researched a lot of kitchens before we bought this one and it was the best buy. It is a good size (but not overwhelming) with a lot of storage for extra pots/pans and food. I would definitely recommend this kitchen to friends and family.

We bought this kitchen after many hours spent searching for THE ONE (we read all the reviews from several sources). My husband and I put it together Christmas Eve night, already exhausted from our day, and we didn't have one issue (we are not the handyman type and usually screw something up, but not in this case!). Even though we were half asleep and grouchy, we played with it for an hour ourselves. My daughter at 21 months loves it more than Elmo, which I thought could never happen.

We bought this kitchen for our 2 year old daughter, for Christmas. When we were putting it together on Christmas Eve, we realized that Step2 neglected to send some of the parts with it, including the drawer covers. I was very disappointed, because this was supposed to be all ready to go, on Christmas morning for our little one. The microwave makes a weird cooking sound and the sink makes no noise, which I think is something they should change.

my 17-month old son is warming up to this kitchen. the electronic buttons on the stove and microwave are his main interest so far. I think as he gets older and more into imaginative play he will enjoy this kitchen even more. right now he is very tactile and likes to take things apart, so he will take the drawers out and throw some things on the floor and move on to the next activity. it has distracted him from getting into all of our kitchen drawers for now - which is great.

The kitchen is cute. Both my children like the toy. It came with very few food items, you will need to pick up more. The drawers pull out too easily. My daughter can't keep them in. I felt the fridge is on the small side as well. I like the stove noises and the microwave. I think my daughter will enjoy this for some time.

This is one such things with which our kid can spend 24 hours a day without a break. Its fabulous and our kid really really enjoys it. She cooks for us and we have to sit and eat with her. Its really fun. Excellent item and kudoos to the person who came up with this great idea. One con is that it really takes long time to assemble it otherwise its great and worth the price. I will highly recommend it to everyone.

This kitchen is wonderful for young children. My grandaughter (20 months old) loved it from the very beginning. She loves the light, the stove that bubbles and sizzles. Great product. One suggestion: The kitchen would be better if the drawers did not come out (like the silverware drawer) Other that that, I would recommend this product to anyone and would buy it again!!

My parents bought this kitchen for my nine-month old for Christmas. We debated if she was ready for such a 'big-girl' kitchen, but I am so glad we decided to get this one. She loves to open to lower drawers and pull everything out. She is at just the right height to hold onto the counter and sink. She has even learned to open the oven and stand on it to reach the phone and it hasn't broken yet! I think she will continue to love this kitchen as she gets big enough to play with it as a kitchen.

I bought this for my grandbaby who is 2 1/2. The assembly took 1 1/2 hours. My daughter and I assembled it Christmas day. I added six 3 " drywall screws to the back and sides for added strength. This is a great kitchen! We did a lot of research before deciding to purchase this one, and we couldn't be happier with our decision. It was easy to assemble; my hubby did it during part of a football game with very little effort and I applied the stickers! It comes with just the right amount of accessories to get your little one started; enough to teach them how to pretend play, which is why we purchased the kitchen in the first place. Let's face it, if it came with ALL of the accessories, it would be overwhelming and the pieces would end up all over the house! This kitchen is also the perfect size, not too big or too small. It fits nicely up against the wall in our living room. I thought about putting it in the kitchen (yes, even in a townhouse, it will fit in the kitchen), but decided it was unsafe. This kitchen was worth the money and will last for years to come!!

This was brought to our house by Santa and our 2 year old boy loves it. He is definitely a cheif in the making who would never leave my nice pots and pans alone. I got it as a Christmas gift for my 3 year old twins. It took my husband a couple of hours to put it together. Once it's assembled, the kids just rushed to it and had hours of fun. When their friends come, the kitchen area becomes the most densely populated area. We may need to get more accessories.

my little girl loved this it is made well. The only problem we have with this kitchen is it didn't have a door for the oven and not the right amont of screws. But i called the next day and a door is on its way. You defantly need a drill most of the screws are very long.The only thing that matters is that my daughter loves it and she does!

Wonderful product! Our daughter loves this kitchen and all the working parts, nooks and crannies, and accessories. It is very sturdy, which is a plus. The assembly required a little extra elbow grease in that some of the holes were not pre-drilled as expected. Our 20 month old daughter absolutely loves "cooking" in her own kitchen. Her favorite things seem to be opening all of the cabinets/doors and using the "sizzling" or "bubbling" stovetop. It was pretty easy to assemble, but did require 2 people. I'm sure we'll get many years of play with it.

we spent a lot of time reviewing kitchens. we initially passed on "step 2" since the kitchens looked a little country for our tastes. but the reviews of "little tykes" sounded really mixed (and a little TOO techy- i don't need the kitchen talking to my kid. i think it gets in the WAY of imaginative play). and the wooden kitchens seemed way too heavy. and gender neutral was a huge plus for our boy.

once we settled on "step 2", this one seemed to be the perfect size. unfortunately, i think it's being phased out. act fast, it's the only one that COMES WITH FOOD! (granted, not a lot, but enough to keep our 20 month old busy!)
