Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

This was bought for my 4 year old grandaughter last Christmas, and she has spent hours of time cooking, baking and preparing food in her kitchen during this past year. More surprisingly, it is our not quite 2 year old grandson's favorite plaything. He is in it everyday, sometimes with his older sister, but more happily on his own busy in imaginitive play. We just bought this kitchen as a first birthday gift for our one year old twin grandson and granddaughter, and hope they have as much enjoyment from it as their cousins do.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

This kitchen has been played with every day for 2 years now. It is the first place where all kids go when they come for play dates. There are so many fun learning possibilities with this kitchen. Our favorite is opportunity for pretend play (e.g. cooking, cleaning, cooking show, coffee bar, restaurant). My girls love to put a blanket over the roof and play ice cream truck over the counter. The kitchen came with tons of food which was great for learning food vocab and learning to categorize when they were younger. (We removed junk food so as not to encourage it. And, we had to remove some food items for fear thet they were choking hazards.) I also love that the colors are nuetral and not primary as it blends perfectly with our house. Thank you step 2.

Being the mother of a precocious eighteen-month-old little girl, I'm always looking for toys that will foster her tremendous imaginative play. I've researched numerous play kitchens and it is my opinion that the LifeStyle Grand Walk-in Kitchen is by far the best one available. Not only does it provide numerous accessories, but it also gives that real-life experience for small children who want to be just like their mommy – opening cabinets, opening the oven, pressing buttons… We love this play kitchen and we couldn't be more happy with our purchase.

My three yr old uses it every day. The food assortment and many features make it very attractive for creative play. We added a table and chairs so she can serve the food she "makes" and a grocery cart as well. This is an awesome gift. We did replace the floor because she accidentally stepped on one of the utensils and it cut into the floor. FYI, the floor is soft, not hard. Not a big deal. Still LOVE it!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

My 18 month old daughter received this toy as an "early" Christmas present. It was fairly easy to put together but I needed to use the drill as some of the "pre drilled holes" were not drilled at all. It was a snap once I had the drill in hand. The kitchen is sturdy, good quality plastic and overall I'm pleased that it went together easily and that my daughter hasn't stopped playing with it yet!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

Great accessories! Lots of counter space but difficult to position in a room. To have the "bar" area accessible, need to have side entrance but that limits being able to put near a wall. Walk-in style keeps more of the accessories in one spot rather than all over the room outside, but it is a little tight for my two-year-old twins inside.

We bought this for our twin girls for their 2nd birthday. They LOVE it!! It's the only thing that keeps thier attention for more than 5 minutes. We put it in the playroom and they will play in it for 45 minutes or longer, which is great for two-year-olds! The food/accessories that come with this are wonderful- you can't beat the value. We took out the metal utensils (there are 4) only because our one daughter hit the other one with one of them. We will save those for when the girls are a little older. The bottom line is that this kitchen is all that we expected it to be- we would buy it again in a heartbeat!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

My husband and I presented this fabulous kitchen to our daughter the day she turned 2 years old. Her reaction was priceless. She absolutely loves her kitchen and loves to "cook". She offers to cook for me daily and I just adore watching her act like a "mommy". The accessories are realistic and so is the food. Lots of cabinets to open, which my little girl loves. Well worth the price. This kitchen is just big enough to engage her for years to come without taking over the entire play-room. Five Stars!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

The kitchen really is nice and a good value for the money and most importantly our daughter loves it. The only problems were that where there were supposed to be holes for connecting parts, the holes were not fully punched through, they were just indentations. We did not have a drill handy so we had to use a hammer and nail to create the holes that were supposed to be there. Also the sticker decals were crumpled up in the package so they were difficult to apply...we had to put the sticker sheets under a pile of books to try to flatten them before applying but they were still crumpled. It is hard to get them to stay on once they have been crumpled like that. Overall would say it was a good product altough for the money I think these flaws were unacceptable.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

My 19 month old daughter loves this kitchen. This is the only toy that she plays with everyday. She loves to pretend to cook on the stove and loves to open/close the cabinet doors. There are so many accessories that come with this kitchen.

The only bad part is the assembly. We had such a hard time getting the counter on the stove. We called Step 2 and they told us to "use a blow dryer on it to melt the plastic." We were also told a couple of other ways to get it to work, but the blow dryer finally worked. The oven door would not stay closed so we were sent fasteners to fix it.

When we first got the kitchen and had so many issues, I vowed to never purchased Step 2 again. However, my daughter does love this kitchen and all of her other Step2 products so we will definately purchase for her again.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

Our daughter woke up to a huge surprise on her birthday. She had a huge smile and was so excited to be playing in her very own kitchen. Her friends had a Step 2 Grand Walk in Kitchen that we couldn't get her out of so we thought she should have her own.
It took my husband a couple hours to put it together. The only cons were that the counter table caved in and we couldn't get it to pop out and that the some of the food pieces were missing. The kitchen came with a pizza but only half of the pizza.
Other than that our daughter and her friends love to play in the kitchen. And we thought it would be a great investment for our second child on the way. It's something that both children can play with for several years.

Service & Delivery comments:

I would make sure that the counter table was flat and not caved in. In certain areas of the table the plate and food will roll off because its not a flat surface.
I wish that the kitchen came with all the food pieces. It would probably of not been noticeable if it weren't for the pizza from the food set to be missing half the pizza pieces.

Step2 Response: Thank you for taking the time to complete the review. Please contact us directly at 800-347-8372 for assistance with the counter table and the missing pieces.

We purchased this for our daughter's 2nd birthday. I searched everywhere to find it, but had to order direct through Step2. [...] It was perfect because that was the day of her big party. I assembled it while she was napping that day. I wish you all could have seen her face when she saw her new kitchen! She plays with it every day. Step 2 is awesome and I would definitely recommend this kitchen.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

I researched for weeks for something like this - small enough for my two year old to enjoy now, large enough for her to grow into. I bought this for her 2nd birthday knowing that she's got quite an imagination and desire to mimic real-life activities. I looked, and looked, and looked again; but I was unable to find this at any less of a cost. I actually was intent on buying the deluxe, but curiosity had me look into the Grand Walk-in - finding that for only an extra 30 bucks I could get something nearly twice the size with triple the accessories, it was not hard to choose the upgrade! It arrived in two boxes and I was prepared to do battle with tool box in hand - but the instructions manual was only a few pages and the picture said the only tool required was a screwdriver. "Surely, they've sent the wrong instructions..." I thought, skimming through them before I started. Nope. "Surely, they've forgotten the other half; or maybe I'm missing a door or screw or two...", I thought, counting, counting and re-counting parts. Nope. "Let's see how many holes they forgot to pre-drill for me..." I thought, running my fingers over the slight indents where screws were to go. Aha! "I knew I'd need something to make the holes, just like some people complained about!" I exclaimed, reaching for a hammer to start my assault. But alas, another "disappointment." As I pressed the screws into each indent, I saw that the harder I pressed, the more the screw would sink into them! I had it screwed together within half an hour! Delighted and encouraged, every knob popped into place, every door swung easily and sturdily enough for a toddler not to mangle, and every sticker had its obvious location. Another half hour later, I was ready to put away the accessories. After much consideration, I had everything in it's place and batteries installed another half hour later, including a debate over where the best placement would be. I'd never been more pleased with a purchase for my child than with this product! And with other relatives chipping in toward the price, I was able to get her the Step2 shopping cart, and more! You can't beat the price for the product, considering the wonderful quality, stability and [...] The stool was a marvelous inclusion - I was also surprised at the strength of it, considering it was at no extra cost. As for the negatives, I've yet to find anything very poignant. If I had to say something, it would be that I wish the cabinets under the sink were deeper and there were shelves in the cabinets next to the microwave. But there is so much counter space, it makes up for it. I had my heart on a wooden set in the begining, but everything linked to quality and customer satisfaction that I could possibly dig up came attached to the Step2 products. I don't regret one minute of research, because it all brought me to this Grand kitchen. I am definitely not disappointed - and I'm not just "satisfied," I'm HAPPY with my purchase!

This play kitchen is well worth the money. We bought this for my 3 year old daughter as a birthday present and she loves it. My 5 year old son likes to play with it as well, he especially likes the breakfast counter and will take a snack and sit down at the counter to eat. The accessories that come with it are great, very realistic looking. We keep everything in a plastic tub, some of the things will fit in the cabinets but there is still tons left over. This will survive numerous kids, we are very happy with the product.

I purchased this for my grand daughter whom is 15mths. I was planning on giving it to her for Christmas, however, we broke it out of the box early to challenge her development. There are a few things I wished were different. The inside space is small, don't know if it would fit two children. She loves the working stove and microwave. Wish more things would make noise. I also wish that the cupboards were a little deeper to hold all the food accessories. This kitchen truly needs a working coffe pot. With all this said, my grand daughter still loves this kitchen so seeing her reaction I am glad I purchased this for her.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

I really like the kitchen and Da'borah does too. She enjoys cooking and answering the phone. I think the kitchen is a good deal and should be considered by anyone looking to buy one. It is not too big. I love the set up of it most of all. I believe there could be alot more working components such as the microwave could light, and spin, the oven could light, and the refrigerator could light. Also, a little more volume to the buttons on the phone and microwave would have been nice. The phone could have some interactive voice features, and I agree with another who stated that the "Grand" kitchen should have a dishwasher. Da'Borah will be 2 in September, so, she is not totally missing the items that I pointed out, however, I think the kitchen would keep her busy longer if those things were present.

My grandson cooks in his kitchen when I cook in mine.He fixes me "coffee" in the morning. All the foods and accessories that come with this are wonderful. We match the food to pictures and spelling of the food. He tries new foods without hesitation. You can just watch his imaginition go. He has had it 8 months and he is not tired of it. Very well made, sturdy. Large muscle, dexterity, math skills, imagination, food identification, spelling, so many things to do with this. The interaction with him is wonderful. We have not found anything negative about it.

We babysit our granddaughter, Isabella, every weekend. She is 18 mos now. I need major equipment in the house to keep her amused. Last weekend was the first weekend she played with the set. And she loved it. She spent the entire weekend with it. And 18 mos. olds do not have a long attention span. There is tons of different stuff to do in this set. I have money to spend, and a real use for your products. I would be interested in buying mnore products. We just put it together this week, but she plays with it everyday. It is just the perfect size and height for her. There were so many extra pieces that came with it, we did not give them to her all at one time, she would have been overwhelmed and they would have been everywhere. We will slowly give them to her so she will be getting something new to play with. She will be playing with this for a long time. We have it in our screened porch, and she gets upset when it is time to stop playing and come inside.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

This is the nicest play kitchen I have ever seen and my two-year-old son loves it. He plays with it every day.

I was disappointed that the microwave door and two cabinets were very poorly aligned and there is not much I can do about it. Also, the silver finish on the refrigerator door and microwave door were scratched right out of the box. My son doesn't notice and it didn't seem worth the trouble of asking for a replacement, but beware. I would suggest to Step2 that the microwave and fridge door be made from the same grey plastic as the oven door (not painted).

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

I bought this for my son when he was one year old (he's 15 months now). He LOVES the kitchen, he spends hours each day playing with it. We take turns sitting on the stool and preparing food for each other. I have been teaching him about cleaning, cooking, organizing, and names of different foods. All the accessories are great, including a selection of ethnic foods. The only complaint is the telephone, we had a lot of trouble with the cover over the battery, the screw is very hard to take on and off, and Step 2 actually had to replace the first phone. Again, overall, this is a great buy... Even if you don't want to spend this much money on a kitchen set, there are others that are less pricey.

My daughter is just over a year old and she loves it. Every morning its the first thing she does when she wakes up. we had to hold off on letting her play with some of the accessories that came with it until she is a little older, but there is plenty for her to play with and she just loves all the cabinets and drawers that hold all the food and dishes, we couldn't have asked for more and for first time parents its a great toy that was worth the money. its something she will play with for years to come.

I purchased this for my 2 1/2-year-old son and he loves it. He has been playing with it for hours and it is priceless to see him using his imagination so well. He loves it and we are very happy with it.

I gave it four stars instead of five due to several minor issues. The finish on the microwave and refrigerator doors were lightly rubbed off when removed from the box. The microwave and cabinet doors are slightly crooked. The stove burner assembly had a defective screw and could not be opened to install batteries. Every time with turned the screwdriver it would loosen and then tighten. We had to pry it off on one side with a knife.

I put this together in less than a half hour. It is best if you have an electric screwdriver though.

This comes with a bazillion food items, realistic pots and pans and utensils. My 20 month old daughter and her best friend (20 month old boy) LOVE this kitchen and can spend about 30 minutes uninterrupted in the kitchen. (That's a lot for them.)

It has realistic sound effects for the microwave, stove and phone.

Only negative is that it came with a handle to a cupboard missing. But that's not a big deal.

I live in Texas & planning a trip to Florida to visit her in July--I can't wait to spend time playing with her in her walk in kitchen! As my daughter puts it "BEST babysitter anyone could ask for!" I am thrilled to know that I have made such a purchase that she will enjoy for years to come. My daughter said she put away some of the food due to such a large amt-but what a thrill my baby will have when more things are added!! According to my daughter, assembly required less than an hour. Thank-you Step 2 for making such a wonderful kitchen!!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

My son started playing with this kitchen before my husband could even finish assembling it! I was pleasantly surprised at how little space it takes up and how sturdy the stool is.

This kitchen comes with more food accessories than will actually fit in the cupboards (not a complaint!) but I am concerned that all of it is made in China and kids will most likely put it in their mouths - especially since it's made to resemble food. I'm going to ask Step2 if it's been tested for lead.

The only real issue is that the hinge for the refrigerator door wasn't quite set right and the door kept popping out, but we widened the hole and it works just fine. It would be cool if the sink made some kind of water noise (my son only seems to be really interested in the noise-making parts) but he's certainly not lacking for entertainment with this kitchen! I highly recommend it!

My 2 year old granddaughter got this last week for her birthday. She LOVES everything about it. It was easy to assemble (power screwdriver is a must, though, as it's much quicker and not frustrating!). She loves the realistic sounds from the microwave, phone and stove, as well as all the storage. Several kids played with it at her birthday party and it's so durable that even the 6 year old boy who hung from the arches didn't break it (though NOT recommended!!). I will certainly buy another Step2 product.

My daughter loved it from the first moment. She 'helped' her father to assembly it, so even this part was fun for her. She couldn't wait to be all done! She was past her bedtime with 2 hours 'cause she wanted to play!!
She is only 17 months, but she plays great time! I even put some water in the sink and she is washing the vegetables and her hands there,
All in all, she really LOVES it!!
It's worth the money. We didn't have any problems with flimsy doors or anything else.

I found this product easy to assemble. As some of the previous reviews stated, not all the holes are pre-drilled. The simple remedy is using a cordless drill and the screws go in just fine. I have a 4 year old daughter and 2 year old son and they absolutely love it. Very imaginitive play and all the accessories are great. It holds up to a rough and tumble 2 year old. Entertains children for at least an hour and held up to a birthday party with ten children over. Highly recommend this kitchen.

I have children that range from 2-9 years old. They all enjoy the imaginative play with each other and the adults. This also allows for the important learning concept of cooporative play and reinforces socialization and sharing! Also, you can't beat the quality(the Step2 kitchen we are replacing is now 17 years old,has had about 24 children play with it over the years, and is still in good condition)! We will be sure to pass it along to another child, for them to enjoy.

My son loves this kitchen. Setup was easy with a power drill - the holes are not predrilled. It took about an hour even with help from my 2 yr old.

It comes with plenty of accessories - both food and kitchenware.

I don't know if it is worth the price though. I think my son would have enjoyed the less pricier versions just as much.

The oven door doesn't remain closed so I had to stick a furniture floor felt pad so it would stay.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

This kitchen is the Mac Daddy of all play kitchens. My one year old got it for his birthday from his Nana, although it states ages 2 and up, since he loves opening my cupboards, playing with tupperware, spoons, etc, I thought it would be perfect and it is! He loves all the drawers, cupboards, opening oven, fridge, when he gets taller he'll be able to reach the microwave and upper cupboards. He's had it for 3 weeks and he entertains himself for long periods of time.
It came with 101 pieces of food, utensils, accessories, I sorted through which he could have now and placed a bunch in bags for when he's older and won't choke on smaller pieces of sushi, etc. It's culturally diverse and just wonderful!

Assembly was fairly easy, instructions were great.
Looks wonderful in my living room, matches very nicely. Wonderful sounds, fun things to do with stove, microwave buttons, phone, and others. GREAT purchase!

We bought this for my 2 1/2 year old and she just loves it. It is across from our kitchen so she can "cook" while I cook. It comes with tons of stuff and great pretend food. I would HIGHLY recommend having a power screwdriver when putting this together. The instructions were fairly easy to follow and I was able to put it together alone (well my daughter "helped"). I would buy this again in moment.

Pros:
My son loves this kitchen. It came with an abundant amount of accessories ranging from coffee pot and ravioli. The sounds from the stove, micowave and phone are cute.

Cons:
First, the assembly is easy with a power drill - it would have been nice for the holes to be predrilled. Overall, it took about 1.5 hours even with a little tot helping me out. The directions are clear.

Second, the oven door stays open. I had to stick a piece of felt that I use for furniture legs so that the door would remain closed.

Third, the drawer came chipped so that the front of the drawer sometimes comes off.

Last, I wish there was more storage space for ALL of the accessories that came along with it. Also, I think my son would have been just as satified with a cheaper one. But if you have the money, then try this one.

I adore this kitchen, as do my boys (ages 3 and 2). It took me about an hour and a half to put this together but I did it all by myself. Me + cordless drill = amazing! All I used was my husband's cordless drill and a little muscle at some points. None of the holes were pre-drilled, so I had to work a little at getting the screws thru. The instructions were easy and it all came together fantastically. The hardest part was putting the stickers up. (I'm a bit of a perfectionist so bubbling just wouldn't cut it).
My boys have played and played and played with this kitchen. They love all the realistic foods and that the appliances makes sounds. The one negative I have is that they are now using the bar stool as a step stool around the house...otherwise a fabulous investment!

This was a 4th birthday present for our daughter. Easy to put together. Durable, good quality. Has a lot of accessories, however a few more plates and pots would be nice. We were disappointed with the size, it just looks so much bigger in the pictures. My husband said relative to the size it wasn't worth the money, but our daughter loved it so much I would still buy it again.

My daughter (17 months)loves this toy.She puts real food on it and cooks. Her friends (3&4 year old boys) love this toy also. It comes with alot of stuff. Which is probably awesome for people with older children but for me and my 17 month old my daughter just throws it all over ! Im sure when she is older it wont be like that . I didn't attach the pieces with the big screws so i could move it around the house . It stays together really well with out the big screws. that way i can move it upstairs down stairs and in her room and mine piece by piece. Im sure if i would have screwed it all together it would be stuck whereever it was put together.

i bought this for my daughter for christmas, and she hasn't stopped playing with it! my daughter is almost 2 years old, and it is definitely age appropriate. it comes with so many accessories, and my friends come over and we joke about how we wish we had a kitchen like that!
one of the pots came cracked since i ordered it through the mail, and it was so easy getting a replacement, just called and had it in less than a week. it was so easy to put together, just needed a drill since there were so many screws it was taking forever!
every single little kid that comes over heads straight for the kitchen, and it's nice because more than one kid can play in it. it is really fun for kids of all ages.
the sounds the kitchen makes add to the fun, it sounds like you're frying things, the microwave makes sounds, and there is a phone!
i could go on forever about how this is the best kitchen ever!!
i am so glad i found out about step 2 and intend to buy more products!

My daughter really loves this kitchen. There are so many features, she can spend hours on end playing in it. My only complaint is that it came with a ton of fake food, which she loves, but I hate cleaning up. She got a fake tomato lodged in her mouth one day, so we threw that away and I was tempted to throw out 1/2 of the other stuff with it.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

My 22-month old son and 6-year old daughter got this as a Christmas gift. My daughter did nothing but play with it for about a week, but is not that interested in it anymore. My son plays with it every day. It is the only toy that he plays with repeatedly and that can hold his attention for an hour or so, consistently. He loves to cook food in the microwave and on the stove top and to use the coffee pot to make juice. This kitchen is great for playing restaurant, with an area for serving the food as well as cooking it.

One dissappointment is that it did not come with a stool as I had remembered the description saying it came with. I also thought it would have more bells and whistles to it; the micorwave buttons make noise, and the stove top has two different sounds - a sizzling sound for the frying pan and a boiling sound for the pot - but that is all that it does. The microwave doesn't spin, there is no dishwasher, the oven is just a door opening up to a shelf, the sink doesn't make noise, and the coffee pot doesn't come with a coffee maker. Also, it is smaller than it appears in the picture, an does not have a lot of food storage space.

Despite the shortfalls, this is still the best toy that I have for my son, and I am glad to have it. The lack of storage space is easy to overcome by simply putting the food in a plastic bin behind the kitchen. I also added a cash register so that my daughter (and son, eventually) can practice taking money and giving change at their restaurant. Stools are sold separately, and are probably a good idea for other little customers; but since I am the customer, I just sit on the floor and probably wouldn't fit on the stool anyway. And, although I thought it would be a little more high-tech, my son really enjoys it just the way it is.

I am very happy with this kitchen, would definitely buy it again, and would highly recommend it for toddlers.

Step2 Response: Thank you for your feedback. Toys R Us did sell a version of this kitchen without the stool in their stores. If you bought your kitchen anywhere else, it should have come with a stool. Hopefully, you still have your receipt so you can get in touch with the retailer, in case you should have gotten the stool with your purchase.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

My 23 month old daughter received the Step 2 Lifestyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen for christmas. We also received the bonus table and two chairs. For everything that came in the box, the price was EXTREMELY reasonable.

It was very easy to put together- it took my husband and I about 1.5 hours to put it together...this included putting all of the stickers on and setting up the food items that come along with it. When my daughter saw it Christmas morning so said "Whoa!" about 50 times. She ran to the kitchen and was so excited about all of the gadgets and accessories.

The phone and microwave both make different noises when you press the keys. Also, the stove recognizes the pot that you put on the burner and makes corresponding noises (sizzling, boiling, etc.) It comes with 2 plates, bowls, cups and cutlery sets as well as two baskets full of food. Some of the foods is more realistic looking than others but to me that is a minor detail.

The set has a counter so that you can sit on the enclosed stool and eat. Two smaller children can play comfortably in this kitchen. I think that the kitchen is plenty big enough for a child up to age 4 or 5 and hope that my daughter will not outgrow it before then.

Thanks Step 2 for such a great product!

This kitchen is great!! My fiance and I were dreading putting it together, since we had just spent 3+ hours putting a doll house together before Christmas. But surprisingly, the kitchen took barely an hour. It was very easy to put together, and looks great. My daughter (3 yrs) loves it!! The microwave and stove make sounds, along with the telephone, however, I thought for such an advanced kitchen, that more of the parts could have made sounds as well(like the sink or frige)and it would have been nice if the stool came included. But nonetheless, we are very very pleased with this purchase! Well worth the money. You will not regret it!!

No real cons to mention. My 5 year old daughter LOVES it! Now she wants me to set up the video camera so she can film her own cooking show! It really sparks a child's imagination.

I am 5'5" about 110# and the stool(s) hold my weight and I am able to crawl, squat and play right along side my daughter and 3 yr old son. My 3 yr old climbs to the top and jumps, don't really know if that is a design flaw in the product or the child!! I am and was excited about this product and am so glad I chose this particular kitchen instead of a smaller one. My kids and myself included love this kitchen and would purchase it again. Some of the reviews I read before I purchased this kitchen claim storage is an issue, I personally think that there is enough storage just not what you would consider in your own "grown-up" kitchen.

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

This kitchen is PERFECT!!! I came to this site and read EVERY review before purchasing it. I think that helped to prepare me for what I was really getting. Many of the reviews complained about the difficulty in assembling the kitchen but my husband and I had no problems at all. You will find the job MUCH easier if you have a power drill since the screw holes are not pre-drilled. Also, there are LOTS of accessories and not a "home" for every item so you should get an extra wicker basket or something similar to hold items that won't fit. Other than those two issues (which aren't bad at all) the kitchen is perfect. My daughter got this for Christmas and cannot get enough of it! She is 21 months old and will be able to play with this for years! I highly recommend this kitchen!!

I was looking for a kitchen that would be young enough for our 15 month old granddaughter but not something she would outgrow within months. This kitchen is absolutely perfect for her!! While the price is pretty steep for it being nearly all plastic, it was worth it when her eyes lit up the first time she saw it! The huge grin we received made it priceless!! She will play with this kitchen for years!

Comments about Step2 LifeStyle Grand Walk-In Kitchen:

This was purchased for (2) 2 year olds - living in different parts of the u.s. and I couldn't be more pleased with their reactions to this kitchen and most of all, the interaction with everything that it features. The Microwave is the favorite. The spices are used with every meal prepared. The "action" burner is just wonderful and really adds to the imaginative playtime. The storage has been reported as "could be more", but I simply introduce "new" things as I see it's needed. Children get overwhelmed with too much at one time and then parents believe it's the fault of the product. This kitchen is IT! Assembly took all of 20 minutes with much oohs and ahs and wishes that if only this were made 30 years ago!!

This kitchen is wonderful. The oven, refrigerator, microwave, and cabinets all open for "storage". The sounds are realistic. My daughter loves to "make" us dinner - she is 19 months old. My son is almost 10, and I have an in-home day care and all the kids range in age. ALL of the kids love to play with this. [...] my son "made" my daughter dinner while she waited at her table. So cute! I would buy this product again and again. Very easy to put it together - we did it on Christmas Eve with no problems.

It is hard to find something to keep my 30 months old granddaughter entertained for 15 min or more. The kitchen keep her busy for hours, and the most amazing is how she is being imaginative around it, talking to her dolls, inviting family for breakfast etc. etc. This kind of toy worthy every dollar you pay for it.

I or Santa bought this for my 3 yr old boy, and he just loves it. This is his favorite toy. He plays in it all the time now, and plays with his 5 yr old sister. They like to pretend this is their house, and now want to eat at the table and chairs for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I knew this would be a hit, and I am so pleased with this product. Before I even received it in the mail, I recommended it to my sister who already has her first grandchild, and she ordered it also.

We have two 3-year-olds, and they awoke to this gift on Christmas morning. It was a HUGE HIT, and they play in this kitchen for hours! Santa brought this for my 2 yr. old daughter. This is the only thing that has been able to occupy her attention for more than 15 minutes. She will play with this Kitchen throughout the day, making everyone a "burger" and making sure everyone has enough coffee. It is so much fun to play with together as well... I wish this were around when I was 2!
