I bought this house for my 2 year old (who is now 3 years old and 39 inches tall.) during our stormy season to give him something to play in while he couldn't be outside. This house is the BEST. The doorbell and phone are great little features. It has it's own floor so when you put it outside you don't have to sit on the ground. We put a regular sized bath rug in the bottom and viola we have wall to wall carpeting. It was an absolute BREEZE to assemble. Easy. It has held up to absolutely everything! We even put up wrapping paper on the walls for wallpaper. The door and windows are cute too. My son LOVES opening and closing things and this is just perfect. A+ at an affordable price.

I was going to get a kitchen for my 14 month old son, but my husband convinced me to by the playhouse. My son Loves it!!! He plays in it throughout the day and has so much fun. We use it indoors for now because it's winter,...but we might just keep it indoors since he uses it like a fort. He takes all his balls into the house and launches them out the windows, then goes & retrieves the balls & does it all over again. He also love the phone that came with it. He carries it all over the house with him. He also has a talking broom which he takes inside the house and pretends to sweep the floor. He loves to open & close the door, and likes opening & closing the shutters as well. He sits in one of the seats inside and just stares out into the living room to see what mommy & daddy are up to out there. He really has enjoyed this purchase and it was worth every penny! This little house is absolutely adorable. My husband and I bought this house for our 14 month old son for Christmas last year and he has loved it ever since. It is the only playhouse that I've found that has a built in floor. It has a working doorbell and a cute little phone that also makes sounds. We have his little house on our lanai and he loves opening and shutting the windows and ringing the doorbell. I wish it came with some mail for the play slot but we are going to laminate some pretend mail for him. It is very sturdy and was very easy to put together ( with a power drill). Took less then an hour to set up. I love Step2 and look forward to buying more of their products. =)

As we live in a condo, it is difficult for our toddler son to have a "fort" to play in. Since we are limited to space, we tried this play cottage as an indoor alternative. He loves playing in it! After much play he likes to sit down at the table and "pour" himself a glass of water from the sink and prop his favorite teddy bear on the other seat across the table from him and give the bear a drink, also. Just take note that it is really for younger children (due to its small size). It would be nice if Step2 would include a couple of pieces of play mail for the mailbox.

My 13 month old granddaughter loves her playhouse. She rings the door bell constantly, plays with the phone and just has a great time with it. The door and shutters are great for cognative thinking. I use it both inside and outside, luckily I have double doors to my backporch. Either way she is always entertained with this item.

We bought this for our Daughter's 2nd birthday and we LOVE it!!! It was very easy to put together; maybe took 40 min. My Daughter loves playing with her dishes at the table/sink and loves loves loves the phone and doorbell. I do wish it would have came with plastic mail, but other than that it's great. We have it in our playroom right now since it's almost winter, but we will be moving it to our patio come Spring/Summer. I know my daughter is going to enjoy this house for a long time. Easy to assemble but a drill is a must. Cuts down on time and effort. I found it very easy to assemble by myself. My granddaughter is going to love it. She loves doors, windows peek-a-boo, the door bell and phone. Don't know about outside durability yet but time will tell. From my point of view it will last for years to come.

This was the first major, outdoor purchase I made for my daycare. I chose this one because I don't have a lot of experience with Step2 and I wanted to make sure I was satisfied with the quality of their products before I made a big investment. The kids love it and so do I. It is the perfect size for 2 toddlers, 3 if they don't mind being a little crowded. I put it together myself in under 45 minutes. The only issue I had was that the screw that holds the sink/table on didn't quite line up with the hole and eventually fell off. We popped it back in and it sags a little but the kids couldn't care less. I just bought the Naturally Playful picnic table and intend to purchase another, bigger playhouse as well as a climbing structure in the next few months. I would absolutely buy this again and recommend it to anyone looking for a smaller playhouse.

I purchased one of the cottages through a store website but found this site cheaper. I have two granddaughters age 2 1/2 and 1 1/2. They "visit" each other. I put them outside but it is so hot I moved them into a play room. They love them and love taking their friends that visit to their house. I do wish the holes had been predrilled instead of just showing me where they went. I'm a 60 year old grandmother and found the plastic hard to break through. But overall, I am happy I bought them and would definitely recommend it to a friend. Very economical and like I said, the girls love them and that makes them great to me.

I ordered this for my granddaughters ages 2 1/2 and 1 1/2. It is a little small for the two of them but they love it. One loves the doorbell and the other the phone. I put it together fairly easy but it would be so nice if the holes had been drilled. It would be easier with a cordless screwdriver or drill but I was using a manual. There are indent where the screws go but you have to make the hole. I do find that it is a little small for the two of them together, so I just ordered another. Now they can visit each other. The price is nice.

I really like this playhouse. For the price it is a great deal. My son loves it and he is 3. The only thing is he is tall and doesn't have room to grow but for now he enjoys it. We bought this for my daughter for her 2nd birthday and she is now turning 7 and my son is turning 5. We keep it outside year round and it has not faded. Both kids love to play with it, but my kids are tall. So from experience, it is best for smaller, shorter, younger children as the seats are pretty small and there isn't a lot of room to move around. I like the floor, but it it is difficult to keep clean. It catches all the leaves. There is a tall lip under the door that keeps it all in. I have to turn the house on its side to clean and sweep it out. The roof design holds the water and dirt and makes it difficult to keep clean from debris. The outside end walls are a bit flimsy, but not too bad. The kids love the mail slot and the phone and the doors an shutters that open and close. It has held up very well in 5 years and is still in excellent condition.

This is an awesoe playhouse! We purchased this two years ago when our daughter was only one and a half, and it has held up beautifully! The plastic pieces are still in perfect condition with no fading or damage. It has constantly been exposed to the elements, even in winter. The fact that it has a floor is just awesome! Perfect for being outside to protect from mud and dirt underneath. I put it together myself in about an hour and a half...it wasn't difficult, just annoying with all the screws. I am pretty good at putting stuff together though! The only problem I have with it is that the stickers on the outside have faded and peeled. The interior stickers are fine, so that's to be expected. My husband sits inside of there with our daughter which is pretty comical, lol, especially when he's sqeezing himself in and out of the door! We just moved to a new bigger house and I'm actually considering moving it into the family room so my daughter can get even more use out of it! Love this house!

I bought this house for my 19 month old son. He just loves it! He goes in and out the door all the time and loves the shutters on the windows. There is enough room for him to grow and to have multiple kids in the house. It is the perfect size to leave in the house or to take outside.

My husband and I purchased this for our son for his 1st birthday last April (with some of his birthday money he received from friends/family). He absolutely loves it! It's the first thing he runs to outside. I think the phone is his favorite part & he uses it indoors all year long. It's a little small, but perfect for maybe 2 children his size (he's now almost 2)to play comfortably. But, even I have sat in there with him. We decided on this one mainly for the floor, so he wasn't always sitting on the cold damp ground. He really hasn't used it since fall (due to the very bitter cold snowy winter). But, he always points it out, so I know that once it warms up a bit, he'll be thrilled to get back out there! We were going to put it in the basement for the winter, but it just never happened (& we never go down there). It would be pretty easy for you to bring it in for the cold months if you have the room.

My 17 month old daughter absolutely LOVES her playhouse! She has a great time opening and closing the shutters, ringing the doorbell, talking on the phone, and sitting at the table. She shows her cousins around like it's a palace! The only negative is that there are not pre-drilled screw holes, which makes assembly a bit of a hassle. We put it together when she was sleeping and couldn't use power tools, so my husband made the holes by hand. That's the only thing I think Step 2 could improve on!

My German Sheppard and 2 cats are always trying to sneak in and take a nap. My 21 month year old daughter is not keen on sharing it though, lol, and quickly shuts the door behind her.I love that the floor is attached to the lower walls - keeps the bad stuff out and I know that she will be dry and clean and bug/creature free in there. The phone did not work, but customer service replaced it with zero hassle. We love to decorate it with push button lights, pictures on the walls, carpet, curtains... I put her Dsny- kitchen in there too and she loves that. My husband set up the playhouse very quickly (about 20 min.) and it's quickly become her favorite place to be. We've had it months now and its still very sturdy, easy to clean, was very easy to assemble (did it in like 30 min), and they still love to play in it. They range in age from 12mon-9 yrs. Got this last night and was able to put it together by myself, with just a screw driver in a little over an hour. The only trouble I've had is with the phone hook, I am still working on that. My parents gave this toy to my 2yr old daughter for christmas, and she loves it. We had it the house over the winter and it keep her busy for hours and we put it outside this spring. Her and the neighbors kid love to play together in the house. The only bad things about it was, there where no screw holes in some of the places that there need to be and if you don't have a power screw driver it make it very hard to push the screws through, and with bad weather you have to put something heavy in the bottom so it wont blow away. But all together my daughter really enjoy having this house.

We've had this for over 2 years now. It still gets played with quite a bit, has no fading, and looks like new. It is small (which for us was perfect), best for kids age 1-5. Our 7 year old still gets in it though. About 2-3 kids max inside. BUT, with the windows and all, you can still have more kids buzzing around outside, ringing the doorbell, delivering "mail," etc.

The open-air style is also welcome in areas where it is hot--it keeps the air flowing through. Most playhouses are so shut-in, that come July or August, the kids can't sit inside the house. This keeps air flowing through quite nicely.

I really like this because of the built-in floor. You don't have to worry about a fire ant mound (here in TX) , plus it keeps the interior cleaner. I put it together myself, while my husband was doing other yardwork. So, easy to put together, very simple to maintain (hose off from time to time), doesn't fade or wear, it's great!

Overall, great little cottage for the money. However, telephone is made very cheap-the buttons stick causing batterys to die quickly. Table is very flimsy-needs some reinforcement to make more sturdy. The door bell & mail box are great features. My daughter really loves this little cottage! I bought this product for my 2 year old. He loves it. I am 5.5 feet tall and I can get in it. At first he triped over the door frame but then it was great. The door bell is very quite and the stickers came bent but over all it was a great purchase.

This is a nice playhouse but I would not recommend for a child over 3 years. I have two 4 year old grand kids and they have to duck to go through the door. I also have a 15 mo. old granddaughter and it seems perfect for her. Also the assembly is somewhat difficult.

I purchased this playhouse for my grandson's first birthday after reading the reviews from others online. It is currently in their playroom, but will go outdoors for the warmer weather, thanks to the floor to keep him off the ground.
I'm told it's his favorite toy and he spends a lot of time in it. He loves ringing the doorbell and opening and closing the door and shutters. He has climbed out through the windows, as well, and just enjoys playing all around it.
Although he likes putting "mail" through the mail slot, I was a bit disappointed to see that the door on the mailbox does not open. I also was surprised to see that the telephone doesn't ring or at least have push buttons on it.
My grandson loves it, and so do his parents! My daughter-in-law is 5'8" and is able to crawl in and sit with him, and when the play group comes over, there is plenty of room for several little ones in there at once.
I think that, because of it's size, this playhouse will be appropriate for another 2 or 3 years for my grandson. The price was right and everyone is very pleased with it. It is well made and should last for many years.

I love Step2 products and this one did not let me down! I wanted a house for my almost 3 year old son, but did not want to spend a lot of money and wanted one that would blend in my backyard color-wise. It only took me 1 1/2 hours to assemble this house and that included the time it took me to get out my tools and clean-up in the end. I did use a drill to drill through some holes to start them as others had recommended. I was most worried about the height of this product but loved the color, compactness, and opennes of the design and the fact that it was Step2, so I went with it! At 38" my son fits in it just fine and should not have to duck in it for at least another year or so. Even after that I don't think he will mind ducking a bit. This house would be absolutely perfect if they just made it a few inches taller!

Carson got this for her very first birthday and she absolutely loves it. There is plenty of room for me to fit in there with her and play. My girls received this as a Christmas gift from their grandparents and it is still sitting in the middle of the living room! They have not stoped playing in it and do not want us to put it outside (we live in the midwest and it is very cold outside!) I love this house. I think its so cute and my son loves it also. he has been in it all day so far. Wish I had bought this earlier. We have set the playhouse inside the house in our living room and our 18 month old daughter loves being there. Its her special place, she loves the door and the phone. We purchased this for our older child over two years and loved it then. Now it is the favorite place for her and her new sister. I love the solid floor and the texturing never seemed to both my daughters bare feet. It goes out in the summer and comes in in the winter. We have to partially disassemble every time, but the assembly is easy, even without an electric screwdriver. A plus, with the solid floor I can put and inch or two of water in the bottom in the summer for my girls to splash (the drainage holes don't work very well on grass) and it is easy to tip over to empty when they are done.

Only down side, at the age of 4 my daughter is getting too tall (43"). She wants a bigger playhouse (the welcome home playhouse no less!)

My son loves his house, especially the working door bell. He spends a lot of time in his house role playing. It was easy to assemble and my husband did it by himself in about 30 minutes.

REALLY CUTE HOUSE! KIDS LOVE IT! THE TEXTURED FLOORS HAVE DEEP GROOVES THAT FOOD CAN GET STUCK IN BUT OTHERWISE IT IS A GREAT HOUSE. ONLY SUGGESTION IS PROBABLY HAVE MORE STUFF ON THE WALLS TO PLAY WITH AND MAKE THE TABLE A LITTLE STURDY, IT TENDS TO TIP TO ONE SIDE.

We love the playhouse. It is perfect in size and very sturdy. The phone is the cutest thing. All the buttons work and everything.

The only con is that the groves in the floor are cute and all but very hard to keep clean and not very comfortable for bare feet. We keep the playhouse in our home (not outside) and milk and such gets trapped in the groves of the floor. It is beyond a pain to keep clean.

Besides the floor everything else is great. To make the floor work for us we put a bathroom rug in the playhouse. It covers just enough to actually catch some stuff and we just pull it out and clean it.

By the way we have a 10yr old, 2yr old, and 8mth old.

My toddlers and infants love playing in this cute playhouse. I have a difficult time getting them to come eat breakfast, lunch and dinner now they all want to find away to take a nap inside of it.

This was very easy to assemble. Some stated that a drill is required, which is not. We assembled this in 15 minute's with a screwdriver. My one year old loves this playhouse, especially the phone, doorbell and front door. We bought this because he loves to open and close doors, and that is just what he does.

My daughter got this for her 2nd birthday and she loves it. Fairly large size and nice details for your money. Much better than other houses twice as much.

I bought this playhouse for my daughter, age 2 1/2. She absolutely loves her new playhouse. She can play with it for hours. It is a great addition to our backyard; unfortunately, I think she might outgrow this quickly because she is tall for her age. Otherwise, great buy for the money!

I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY TWO GIRLS WHO ARE ONE AND FOUR YEARS OLD. THEY LOVED IT AND PLAYED IN THERE FOR HOURS. I PUT IT TOGETHER MYSELF AND WAS MUCH EASIER WITH A DRILL.

We got this playhouse two days ago and my son just loves it!!! He played in it for hours and my older kids even got in it and played with him. I would definatly recommend this playhouse to anyone....it is a great product for the money!!

My two daughters LOVE this playhouse. My husband put it together quite quickly, but you do need an electric drill. We were two screws short in the packaging for the roof, but my husband found some in the garage that worked. I wished it had two phones (one for each girl)!! They fight over it. Great playhouse. I love that it has a floor already in it.

This playhouse is an excellent value for the money! The doorbell, phone, table and bench seats are great! My son loves opening and closing the door and windows. Easy assembly and hours of fun!

The price is a definite pro compared to some of the other playhouses. I do think that a cordless drill is a necessity to assemble this playhouse. My daughter loves it!
