The Sand Water Activity Center is being enjoyed by my one year old grandson and those of us who show him how to play. He loves it, and we love it. The only thing that would be great would be some pull out seats for him. He is having so much fun that standing all that time is tiring.
Thanks.
The parents thanked me for this gift because the children enjoyed it very much.
My 2 year old grandson spends every Thursday with me and we spend most of that day and any other time he is here, building sandcastles and birthday cakes and making his boats float. We both have a ball.
I love this table. We actually have 2 of them! I put sand in one and water in the other! (I don't like it all mixed up). The plug drips a little on both of them. I use them outside so it is not a big problem though. The table is big enough, there are usually 4 kids playing around it. The bridges are fun and the height is nice from 18 months to 8 years! The lid works well and I like the bungee cords to keep them closed. It cleans up like a breeze. After 3 years I need to replace umbrellas.
We use it simply as a water table without the sand and our daughter loves it!
This is a great sand/water table!! My 2 year old got it for her birthday a couple weeks ago, and she loves it!! It provides fun entertainment for her, and if she has a playdate, they love it as much! It's so great that an umbrella comes with it! It's not only benefical to have the umbrella for those hot days....but's a nice touch! Really looks great, and the kiddos love it!

This table was a gift for my son when he was 18 months old and he couldn't love it more. We put it outside during his 2nd birthday party and the kids of all ages (1 year - 5 years) played with it non-stop. Great purchase!
We ended up with wet sand in both sections but that makes the best sandcastles! We also liked the umbrella for shade
excellent product
I ordered this online for my grandson who lives in Florida. He loves it. He does not like to play in a pool of water but likes to splash in it this is perfect.
great for young children that like to play in the water.Splash, splash. Plug on both side would be great for younger children that should not have sand on the one side.
My grandchildren thoroughly enjoy the table. My greatest frustration came with the assembly and not having parts marked for pilot holes as illustrated on the directions.
The water and sand table is great. My son loves it! He loves splashing in the water!
My son got this for his 3rd Birthday and he's crazy about it. He'll spend hours playing with the sand/water table. He is about to turn 4 and sofar he he still playing at the table for a good hour or 2 at a time.
The Only con I have is that I think the umbrella should be a little bigger so it'll over lap the size of the sand/water table to shade the kids from the sun on the short sides.
Written from family in FLORIDA
I have had mine for 3 years. I have 3 boys and I don't have a single complaint! Its worth every penny! I store mine inside in the winter and put a mat under it and sometime put water in it in the house. It entertains my children ages 9, 4, and 2. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
My son got this for a birthday present last winter. This spring we put it together for him and he plays with it DAILY. Kids of all ages, including my 7 year old niece, spend hours playing!
We put the sandbox on the deck to try to keep the sand in one area. Later the same day we put together the new swing set. The kids lost interest quickly because they much rather play on the swings! The product itself is good and sturdy, however, it does tend to leak a little.
Overall the item is great and my son really loves to play in the sand and water when we are outside. The biggest con is the umbrella. It seems to be just a bit too small to keep him and his friends out of the sun. I also think the quality of the umbrella could be better.
Love this table.
aS STATED..BE NICE IF BRIDGES WERE HINGED OR SNAP IN
We use this on our deck near a hose so I can wash the water side out. We've had the table for about 3 weeks and have played with it almost every day (my 3 y.o. and 9 m.o.) It does get messy, but that's summer and little kids for you. Money well spent for sure. And we've not had any problems with water leaking, the umbrella, or anything. Highly reccommend...just add some little construction vehicles, action figures and critters and you're in business!
Would recoomend to other grandparents.
A good friend of mine ordered this for her granddaughter and recommended it to me. I purchased it for my 2 1/2 yr. old grandson and he just loves it! I am very pleased with the quality and durability, as was my son, and know that we are all going to enjoy this fun activity center for many years, not only with my grandson but also his little sister when she is a little older. [...]
My nephew was jumping up and down with excitement when the Fed Ex truck delivered this and the only con is that is wasn't fully assembled! (He wanted to play with it immediately) He loves playing with it and it's large enough to have a few friends playing with him without any problems.
Dad put it together which is a feat in itself.. Love him but not for his handyman skills. He mentioned as some of the other reviews have stated that there were no predrilled holes for the screws for the legs but it wasn't a huge deal even for the non-handyman type. So far so good.
Perfect height for my less than average height 2 y/o. Think hes about 33" tall..
My daughter loves this watertable, but I was disappointed when, I experienced leakage from the legs despite securing them according to manufacturing instructions. She couldn't care less about the leakage, however, it's quite annoying to say the least. Thanks goodness its outdoors. In the winter, I'll put it in my basement and put rice, beans and other things to continue to make it a pleasurable experience for my daughter. I would be a little leery to purchase that type of product again from the company.
Right now, the twins are playing with water on both sides, as their mom hasn't got the sand yet. They really enjoy it. It is lightweight enough that my son could carry it out to the back yard by himself.
I also love the umbrella that shades the children while playing with it, and of course the tie down lid with "roads" on top of it is a clever idea as well.
I do have a complaint in that the "pre-scored" screw holes were too shallow and in two of the exterior spots were non-existent!! I even took pix with my cell camera showing the "no holes". Having no "power drill" and only my Hand Phillips screw driver, it was very difficult to make the "holes" so I could "start" putting the screw where it belonged. Also since the exterior screws are very long, it was hard to hold it steady, align it properly and yet apply enough pressure to complete the task. I recommend that before shipping, your people double check that all the "pre-scored" holes are where they should be, and deep enough that it is not difficult to place, align and anchor the legs as shown on the instructions.
The instructions were easily read and other than the complaint above were relatively easy to complete, especially for a grandmother with no men around to help put it together.
Simple, durable, great price
My grandson loves to play with the sand and water. So much better than a sand box on the ground for a place like Texas with scorpions and other creatures.
I bought this toy for my son. He is almost 2 years old. I only fill it with sand being that I know my son will mix the sand and water. It is a great toy because he will use it for years to come. You can also fill it with just water for hours of water play.
Our grandson lives with us. He saw the box and was so excited! He is 22 mos and loves the sand box. We have not added water at this point...the sand is enough fun!
This table is perfect for my 15 month old son. He loves to play with it. The only problem was getting the legs on in the right way so it doesn't leak, and some of the pilot holes were missing.
Fun, but leaks.
If it could be made slightly deeper it would be perfect. Extra depth would prevent the water from easily sliding over to the sand side PLUS enable sand toy storage on the sand side when cover is in use.
Grandsons 2 and 4 love it. They also love mixing the sand and water which they get all over but they have a ball.
We use this sand and water table on our deck along with a small wading pool and bubble machine to keep our 2 year old daughter happily busy for a couple of hours while we also enjoy the deck! The sand and water table is great for her to play by herself or with a playmate or two.
It is extremely well made, as is the umbrella. I was concerned about leakage after reading some of the other reviews, but we have had absolutely no problem. The legs are sturdy and the umbrella packs away nicely inside when the lid goes back on. We have no problem with the proximity of the sand to the water - getting messy and experimenting is half the fun with an item like this! We're thrilled that it looks great and is so well made.
We do find the bridges to be too small for vehicles made for the under-3 set, but she's really more interested in the sand and water experience than in driving vehicles over the bridges. The boats tend to tip and sink, and there should be a greater variety of toys for mixing, dumping and digging.
Overall, we're thrilled with this purchase and would buy again.
I was more excited about this toy than my son was. i wanted it though because my 20 month old son could play in water, get all wet and it not be the drowning hazard as an infant pool would be. ( if i need to run in the house for a sippy cup, i don't worry as much) we only filled it with water verses water and sand - he has the sand box from step 2 (which he loves!!) and i read the reviews about young children making a mud mess out of it. he is only 20 months old, so he likes splashing all the water out of it or lifting one end of the toy, letting it drop to the ground and getting soaked in the process. it is a nice toy though, and i love the naturally playful line, i'm hoping as he gets bigger he will enjoy driving his boats around the water, because the neighbor kids(age 3 and 4) love this. would buy again.
Grandkids (16 mo. old and 4 1/2 years old) love it. Would love it even more if it had some moving water wheel type attachments. Feel this was a good buy for some great outside fun. Daughter-in-law says it was easy to put together.
My son got this for his Birthday he turned two he loves it a little messy but they love the sand ,the water does not seem to stay it must leak out from the rubber caps, but my son loves it anyway he cannot wait to get outside and play, I also love the cover on it very durable, this to me is the best one for the price alot of room the kids have to stand around it
We keep this table on the porch in our backyard, and my toddler loves it. This first time he used it, I used both water and sand, and all he did was spend his time mixing the two together, so that he was soon covered in wet sand. I decided to use only sand, and he's still happy with the table. I've seen friends use only water, which works well too if you have other water toys to add. You definitely need a power screwdriver to put this together. But if you have one, it only takes minutes to assemble.
My Daycare children just love it. It is their most favorite thing to play with. It is the right height for the toddlers to play in it too. I use it currently for sand only. The boys even like the road pattern that is molded into the lid when the sand table is "closed".
The only con that I can see was that the pilot holes was not drilled very well. I had to drill the pilot hole then screw in the screws. Other than that it was very easy to put together.
If you are a neat freak, this may not be the toy for your family. I imagine most toddlers don't keep the sand and water separate. I've heard of some people only using one or the other, which is a good solution. The drain plug on the water side is a nice feature and if you leave the table uncovered for a few hours, the sand dries out. The umbrella offers a good amount of shade and the cover is a great bonus. My son really enjoys the table, and sand and water are inexpensive, so it's not a big deal if half of it ends up on the lawn.

I actually have another sand poit- so i made this water on both sides
My son loves this water table. I bought him several cars so he could play with them on the track. He takes them over the bridge and along the track over and over. What a delight!
Love the umbrella!
Make sure you push the water plug seal in well, or it may leak.
Although directions indicated there would be pre-drilled holes for leg attachment, some were missing. We needed a hand held drill for assembly.
We have been using it with just water, and our son loves pouring the water back and forth between the two sides. However, when we get sand it will NOT contain Crystalline Silica. This nasty dust is a known carcinogen. If you google safe sand for children you can find links for companies that have safe sand.
My hubby and I were blessed to take our 9month old to seaworld. He loved splashing in the water at the sting ray exhibit and anywhere else he could get his hands on. When we began thinking about first birthday present ideas that came to mind and I found this sand and water table. Our son turned 1 yesterday and LOVES this table. It's not too tall for him to stand up by and play in and he loves splashing in the water and playing in the sand. 2 words of caution however our son is very curious and loves to unplug the bathtub drain so when he saw this one he went right for it and it's easy to open. It is very enticing to him because its right under a bridge. Also he is learning to self feed with a spoon and seemed to make the unfortunate connection that a shovel is much like a spoon and fed himself some sand!
The sand/water table is great and I highly recommend it compared with other tables. Love the lid! My kids LOVE to play in this table! We love ours so much my sister ordered one, too!
It was easy to assemble but we did have one glitch...two of the holes that were supposed to be made for us weren't and my husband had to make them but it wasn't a huge deal.
I bought this for my 2 1/2 year old daughter...she just loves it! Every time she plays with it she hugs me and says "I love me new sand table" LOL! I put sand in both sides...no water...she's enough of a mess maker! I will use water when she gets older. I love the umbrella...our back deck where the table is has great shade after 3pm...but it's all sun in the morning, so the umbrella is perfect. The lid is secure...no leaks at all...and we've had a few major downpours since we got it! Great job Step 2!
lots of fun for any area of the yard We use it on the deck and the sand sweeps right off. Although it is a sand and water toy...I am not brave enough to use both simutaneously...Just sand works just fine!!! The umbrella is defineately a much need bonus for a hot day.
This is one of the best built toys I have purchased for my four grandchildren. It is a toy that appeals to my three year old, two year old, and one year old--there is plenty of room for them all around this sturdy toy. I like the way it's raised so that they don't have to sit "in" the sand and have it all over their clothing. The combination of water and sand is so appealing to children (and some adults), and it's fun to watch the children's creative play. Although we have an in-ground pool, this is an excellent break and an activity wherein the parents don't have to be constantly watching the kids. One creative idea we've added is seashells we've collected at the ocean. We hide them in the sand, and the kids enjoy trying to find them--much like an Easter egg hunt~
we decided to just use as a water table, divider between sand and water not super high so expected there would be some overlap otherwise
the guide holes for the outside screws were missing so I just forced it in. Also, suggest some kind of plug for the umbrella hole.
My son is still kind of young for this, but he does enjoy splashing in the water and sand. I know as he grows bigger he'll love it even more.
It was difficult to put the screws in properly as there were no marks on the legs to show whee they went.
My children (5 & 2) love using this table as do my daycare children (2, 4 and 5). I like the fact that no one can climb in to the table and the umbrella is great for my way too sunny yard.
Great product, my 15 month old twin girls love it. The umbrella is a must here in sunny California. Best outdoor toy purchase I've made so far!
Caden loves to play in the water and sand. His Mom likes it because he isn't sitting in the gritty sand. They are both happy and that makes me happy!
My son loves to play with this, by himself or with friends. The sand and water get all mixed up making quite a mess, but he enjoys it so its worth it.
My 18 month old daughter LOVES this table. She will play in it for hours -- it doesn't matter how hot it is.
It was VERY easy to put together - 10 minutes max.
I love the umbrella. It is perfect and comes apart easily.
My only complaint are the accessories. I really wish it had come with plastic cars to use in the table. I have tried 3 different ones and none fit inside the lane. The boats sink and the shovel is pointed!
Design wise its GREAT. I think if I were going to change one thing about the design, I would put the drain hole on the outside corner instead of near the inside. It would drain easier.
Overall, its a great activity for toddlers. I love that she can play with sand without bathing in it!
My kids all LOVE this toy!!!!!
Excellent item. She loved it for her 2nd birthday! Easy for several children to use at once. Very sturdy and very attractive.
We put this table on the deck and it is very easy to use. Our son loves to splash in the water and it doesn't cause a huge mess.
Great backyard fun.
great product. mother of two, 5yr & 3yr old. boys enjoys this table.
KIDS LOVE THE SENSORY EXPERIENCE OF WATER & SAND. BE PREPARED TO HAVE EXTRA WATER TO WET THE SAND, AS MOLDING THE SAND YOU NEED TO HAVE IT SOMEWHAT WET AND YOU DON'T WANT TO DEPLETE THE WATER SIDE FOR THIS. ALSO, HAVE SMALL TOYS AND MOLDS READY TO PLAY WITH TOO!
