We ordered this and another step 2 product online from a distributor. It took forever for it to arrive But when it did my kids absolutely loved it, Day 2 they went out to use it, The button on the pump stuck, started making an awful noise and completely quit sucking up the water. All total my children were able to use this toy for maybe two hours.
Comments about Step2 River Run Waterpark:
Not sturdy if leaned on, which most toddlers don't understand. Other than that provides tons of fun for my 2 yr old.
Comments about Step2 River Run Waterpark:
Like the other reviews, our pump did not work when we assembled the product. [...] I have a 2 1/2 year older, very busy little boy. He's hard on toys, but this seems to hold up under his rein of energy! I made a few suggestions to the company to help stability a little more, but overall I give this a good rating. It's a great water toy for the aqautic lover!!
Comments about Step2 River Run Waterpark:
Pump was broken; very prompt and corteous offer to replace; parts should arrive soon.
My 3 year old grandkid loved it; concerned over any stagnant water in backyad with as many mosquitoes as we have in Dallas. Emptying slow and difficult due to weak pump stream.
Comments about Step2 River Run Waterpark:
When it works (only the first time we set it up) this table is great for my 4 year old and 2 year old. Unfortunately, the pump continues to not work well. Not worth the pain of the electric pump.
Comments about Step2 River Run Waterpark:
I am so disappointed in the quality if this toy. Usually Step2 products are high in quality. After this purchase I'll have to think twice about ever purchasing from them again.
Comments about Step2 River Run Waterpark:
Bought this for my 2 yr grandson's birthday. He simply loves it! it sits on the deck and he plays with the boats and other cups, bowls etc. great imaginative fun for a toddler. my pump/motor did quit working soon after purchase but a brief phone call to Step 2 was all it took this morning and a new one is on its way.
Comments about Step2 River Run Waterpark:
I love most of your product, however this one needs big time improvement with the pump.

Comments about Step2 River Run Waterpark:
I fell in love with this water table the minute I saw it on the Step 2 Web Site and I purchased it last Summer when my son was 2 1/2. Once we got it all together and working my son absolutely LOVED it. However there are more CONS with this product than PROS!
It was difficult to assemble and the pump broke after one use. The base part is made of sturdy plastic; typical of what you find with most Step 2 products; but the rest of the plastic parts are extremely flimsy! You have to unscrew 4 screws just to change the batteries in the pump. The pump is not nearly strong enough to adequately pump the water up and out. We are on our 4th pump since I bought it. Step 2 has been very good about sending FREE replacements, but it's been a real pain. We just got it back out to use this summer and my son who is now a year older is complaining about the poor/weak water flow!
If you want to drain the water out of it in order to clean it or to put in fresh water you have to take the whole thing apart unless you have 4 people to pick it up to dump it out. It has NO drain plug! Who designed this thing?
The concept is fabulous, but I think Step 2 needs to go back to the drawing board with this one!
I would NOT recommend it to anyone! Don't waste your money. There plenty of other water tables avaiable that cost a lot less money! I really hate to write such a bad review because we own a lot of Step 2 products and until now I've been more than satisified.

Every year I purchase several new items for my daycare. I myself have younger children. I bought this before it was even warm enough to use it. I thought the kids would love it. The pump is cheap. And broke almost immediately. So I was sent another one. [...]But that one was loud and broke within a few use too. Plus even empty it atracts bee. Not sure why. I buy lots of step 2 products. Love them all. But this is the first one with electrical parts. So that could be why. I hate to throw it away but right now it is just useless in my yard.
Comments about Step2 River Run Waterpark:
My kids love it, I put it together myself with no trouble and have had no problems since!
Comments about Step2 River Run Waterpark:
I love this product as far as entertainment for my 2 year old and my 4 year old. The drawback is that when you try to move it, the pieces come apart, which is annoying.
Comments about Step2 River Run Waterpark:
This product was a disappointment from the opening of the box. The lower pool arrived cracked. Once the replacement part arrived, we discovered that the toy was difficult to put together and the instructions did not match the parts, screw holes were not lined up appropriately and once assembled, the product was not stable. The pump worked on day one- once a piece of grass blocked the pump, it never worked right again. We unscrewed the pump pieces, removed the piece of grass, and reassembled the pump. The pump worked poorly- maybe by this point we needed to replace the batteries, but before we had time to figure that out, the pump stopped working again, because, of all the crazy things, another piece of grass clogged the pump. It seems that a toy designed to be used outside would be able to weather the hazards of a piece of grass. Within two weeks of putting the toy together we threw away the upper pools and pump. The only reason we kept the lower pool is that my 18 month old likes to sit in it. This toy is now a [$] bucket for my child.
Comments about Step2 River Run Waterpark:
We bought this for our little boys Christmas and by looking at the items in the box thought this would be a simple uncomplicated put-together toy. No toy should ever take this long to put together. Imagine a small child literally pulling on you to see if its put together all the while you are ready to throw it out the window due to frustration. We had a very hard time stabilizing parts, holding pieces together, having to take screws off to start over again. Some pieces are very thin and flimsy yet others are sturdy. Hopefully this will last a while. As for the pump, and its quality of flow, this remains to be seen as we only just put it together. All that matters now is that our little guy is happy just to be playing with the water.. wait til we activate the pump!
Comments about Step2 River Run Waterpark:
The toy is noisy and the motor is not strong enough to push the water up and through. The motor just whines and the kids lost interest quickly. I wish I'd read the reviews before I purchased it.

I liked this product. not easy to empty. My son was 1 1/2 when he got it last summer and he loved it. the down fall was he would get soaked everytime he played with it. but he couldn't get enough of it. the batteries went quik and that is when the pump would stop working so you have to replace often. My son will be 2 1/2 this year I hope he loves it just as much.

I was disappointed with this toy. the item is flimsy and is a pain to empty the water out of. the stream of water is very weak and wont hardly push the small floating toys it came with down the slide part. my daughter is 2 & 1/2, we bought the toy for summer, it is now NOV. and she has yet to want or show interest in this toy, in fact she yells "no water tower!" when i attempt to engage her with it.
this MIGHT work for really young kids who might get a short kick out of sitting and watching the water while their parents do the playing but i wount recommend it.
Comments about Step2 River Run Waterpark:
We bought this at the beginning of the summer, and while I was somewhat disapointed with the way its designed to be put together (for a child's toy, I believe it really needs to be sturdier), it was cute and my daughter enjoyed playing with it - until the pump broke. I called and was sent a warranty-covered replacement pump. However, that pump also only worked for a short amount of time. I'm not sure if calling to get another pump is even worth it, at this point. I'm very disappointed in this Step2 product.
Comments about Step2 River Run Waterpark:
I like this product but my 2 year old doesn't do like the cute kids in the picture and stand next to it...he climbs in the lower pool and has a seat! So if I don't want him to get sopping wet while playing in the backyard I must empty this toy which is no small task. I think it would be much easier to empty with a plug in the lower river. The kids really love it but it is a bit flimsy as others have stated. They seem to have fun but I don't think I can recommend due these issues.
Comments about Step2 River Run Waterpark:
The pump broke on the first day. My son loves the waterpark. I felt so bad when I told him it was broken. He and I were dissapointed. For the price I felt it should be a "beefier" product. It is very fun for kids and the water adds to the fun-on a good note.

All 5 of my grandkids love it!
My granddaughters are 8 and 6 and they like it but my 8 yr old she's a little old for it but I have three grandsons 5, 3, and 2 and they love they like to push the the things down, otherwise they think they go a little slow!
Comments about Step2 River Run Waterpark:
My 2-year-old received this as a birthday gift and it was a hit at the party with the other toddlers. Everyone loved the toy, it was a lot of fun. My only complaint is that the whole set up is not very sturdy, and that is why I would not recommend this toy to a friend in the hopes that Step2 will improve this product. It is a great concept, but for the price seems very cheaply made. I was very disappointed after assembly.
Comments about Step2 River Run Waterpark:
Do not by this product with your kids, ready to play and anxiously waiting for you to assemble it! I had no idea it would take me that long to put this together. (Over an hour or more.) Then again, I am not "handy". Overall, it is entertaining for my kids, ages 10, 8, 6, 1. The older kids enjoy playing with the younger ones, showing them how to put the boats down the water stream. Although, the 1 year old manages to fit her bottom into the lower pool and sit like it's a tub. Definitely watch the young ones, anything involving water can be dangerous. But it is great fun for the outdoors on a hot day. No problems with the pump. It seems sturdy. Also, I did not locate a hole for a screw to attach the middle pool to the bottom pool, as another person mentioned. PS Don't assemble on cement, I carelessly had my pieces out on the driveway, screwing them together, and rubbed the pieces on the concrete and scratched up the plastic.

My daughter is 15 months and has a BLAST with this toy... we have it located right next to her Step 2 house, it is enjoyment for hours!
Comments about Step2 River Run Waterpark:
I bought this for 5 and a half year old who LOVES playing in water. She was easily bored with it and I was disappointed. Younger childre seem to like it better. The boats turn over and are cheaply made.

Comments about Step2 River Run Waterpark:
My son got this for his 2nd birthday. He loves to play with it but I think it is made poorly. It is very shakey when kids lean or put any weight on it. It has only one screw holding the slide area to the main pool. It uses lots of batteries. After one day it barely has enough power to push the toys down the waterslide. It takes forever to drain with the hose which also uses the batteries up but if you try to tip it it falls apart where the pump goes into the main water pool because there are no screws holding the legs of the water tower on. I guess for the money and Step 2 name I was expecting better. I have the Step 2 water table and had no complaints. It's great and sturdy.
