I was really excited about this sink because my daughter loves to help wash dishes, play house and anything dealing with water. She got it for her birthday 8-26-09 and her and her cousin played with it for 15 minutes and the pump stopped working. We called for a replacement part and the company sent it. The next one lasted 35 minutes. We called for another replacement and this one last one day. At times you can still turn it on but it makes an awful sound and spits and sputters but doesn't stay on long. We called for another replacement and were told a new pump was in the works so we waited. We got the new pump yesterday and it is a manual primed pump meaning the child has to mash the button over and over to get it to prime and pump the water. This was a toy purchased for the pump - because it had continuous running water. We did not get our money's worth out of this toy. I hope more parents are smarter than I was and research the toy a little better than I did before buying. I'm even more upset that the sink sits unused and my daughter wants me to "make it work" but I can't. Very disappointed with the company and I have bought many products in the past from them that I liked. It'll be a long time before I purchase from them again.

My son loves water and watering plants with me in the summer. When I saw this product at a friend's house, I just have to get it for him. I got it for his 2nd birthday in Oct. and he was able to play with it once before the wheather got cold, but he loves it. The running water is so real, he loves turning it on and off. I would buy it agian even though we did have a little problem with the pump. The assembly was not too bad either, once you figured out the pump.

My daughter LOVES palying with this sink. It worked great for me for quite awhile but I left it outside and even though I kept it pretty clean it still gets a little bit of dirt and stuff in it... I recommend taking the pump off or covering it after each use. It sucks up any dirt I think and even though there is wire mesh to keep stuff out, I think it still gets in. It flowed pretty good for awhile but then the water kept coming out less and less and now it just wont work. I did call customes service and got right through and they are sending a new pump at no charge so that's a plus!!!

My grandson loves to play under the faucet in the kitchen so bought this all excited about the product until I got it. The problem with this toy is the screen ( that catches debris) the screen isn't fine enough. It stops up easily and is difficult to get at and clean.
I would only recommend it if this problem can be fixed. OR if parents can watch play time to be sure the child doesn't throw leaves, grass, etc. in the sink. My 2 year old grandson loves this sink, but his Mother isn't as enthused.

I thought this was the cutest thing I had seen in a long time. My daughter just loves the water. Against all the bad reviews I had read I ordered it anyway. They were right. The first day the faucet started at first with alot of water flow that ended up just a trickle in about 20 mins of play. this was just plain water.I replaced the batteries and same thing...no flow. She still loves it but I am truly dissapointed. We have had Step2 products before and never have I ever had problems till now.

I wrote a review earlier about the pump failing (see Sad Dad). I called the customer service department as instructed by the webiste and they shipped a new pump unit [...] Installed the pump and gave it a 10 minute try which seems to be working. Unfortuantely, the weather did not cooperate and I took the toy apart for winter storage. Will provide update when the summer months come back. At least I have a working pump!

I wanted to give this cute toy the benefit of the doubt, but it is truly defective. The pump that came with it lasted about 20 minutes. When it broke, I called the company and they quickly shipped a new one. That one lasted about 10 minutes. So, I called for another replacement. (Third times the charm, right?) Purchased sink to encourage child to stand and pull herself up to it after injury to leg as it is perfect size for toddler. She loved it. It worked great for about a week, and then the pump broke, my husband took to apart and cleaned it to fix it and it would work for a day or two and then brake again. Our daughter was very disapointed as were we. Our home is filled with Step 2 products and this is the first one we have not been satisfied with. Very disappionting and frustrating.

Both my 2 and 4 year old love this sink, and any of the other kids we have at the house! As the other comments said the pump is not working we took apart a few times and it worked but continues to get clogged. I waited a couple of months before this was back in production again. I knew it would be perfect for our grandchildren. They love it! The 3 and 6 year old play in it a lot. The 9 month old uses it as a mini swimming pool. Great idea for young children. Like others, we had a problem with the

The reviews I read before purchasing indicated some problems with the pump but so far so good. Mom reports it's handy to set up by flowers so they get watered too. I recruited someone more mechanically inclined than I to assemble; if given as a gift, I recommend pre-assembly; parents don't need this challenge.

my 2 year old son loves this sink. we got it last summer and have never had a problem with the pump. it's been outdoors at the beach for over a year. we rinse it out before we use it every time to make sure there's no sand in the bottom (so the pump doesn't get clogged). i'm bothered by so many reviews that say they had problems with the pump. not sure what we did right or differently, but we haven't even had to change the batteries yet and my son uses it almost every day. i highly recommend this water toy. it's fabulous! it's also very sturdy as my 2-year old has been known to take off his clothes and climb in it to "take a bath"!

There were way too many screws to put this toy together - took e like 30 mins to assemble it. The faucett is extremely delicate - and the products does warn you that it can get broken easily. Our didn't actyually break but it clogged from kids putting dirt and grass in it so the faucett is pretty much useless now. This toy needs to be improved. I think it was ok for a while for my son to play with but it's not as fun as I thought it'd be. The price didn't justify it either.

My kids (and the neighbor kids!) really love this sink. It is a neat toy, except for our pump broke after about a month. My 18 month old still trys to turn it on and doesn't understand what's wrong! I would recommend this to a friend even thought the pump seems to be faulty. Hopefully Step2 will have enough reviews about the pumps and make some adjustments.

This was a huge disappointment..on the 2nd use the filter got clogged with sand and the water didnt run, i cleaned the clog out and then it made this loud humming noise, so needless to say they have to play with it without running water, unless ukeep inside it will get dirty and sandy and the faucet part wont work!

Our 20 month old granddaughter and her parents moved into a new home. We decided to send our granddaughter a "house-warming" gift, and we selected the Fun Flow Play Sink. She loved it, and it really helped distract her from missing her old house. Her mom sent me an e-mail picture of Chloe playing in her sink "for the third time" that day. This product is by far an excellent concept. However, the actual sink pump that is pressed to turn on the faucet has failed TWICE! Within one week we had to send away for a second one, and now the second one has begun making a high pitched, irritating sound when dispensing the water. We plan to call to get yet another faucet, but this process is getting tiring! Who really has the time to deal with such frustration?

I really wish that we didn't have this obstacle because when it did work for a few days without problem, it was an enjoyable toy for my 3 and 5 year old.

I bought 2 of these, one for each granddaughter. Each one immediately fell in love with the toy, however, the pump did not last more than 2 days on either sink. Replacement pumps were sent, as requested. The replacement pump doesn't work as well as the first. The sink is great and my daughter loves it, she loves to wash dishes and her hands, however, I do wonder why the manufacturer or designer did not have a drain installed? The sink is able to hold a large volume of water and it is awkward to have to tip it over to dump it out. There should be a drain on the bottom.

Also, the pump could use some improvement. We are on our second sink as the first one's pump stopped working after one day...it went from flowing as well as your kitchen faucet to a mere drizzle, and then nothing, so we had to return it and get another one. So far this one is still working, though I have noticed a decrease in the flow where it is not coming out as forceful as the first day, but still not too bad.

Other than those two issues it's a great product which I hope they will improve upon.

THe pump is not adequate to make water flow thru faucet. I have 2 and neither one worked for over a week. I have installed new pumps with no change in performance. It is a great idea and my grandchildren loved it for the 5 minutes it worked. Workmanship and design is poor quality since it does not have ability to pump water for any duration. A big rip off. This toy is great if your child likes water. My son loves to play with the kitchen sink and garden hose which wastes water. Now that we have the sink the water recirculates and he has so much fun. He can even turn it on and off himself. You need to make sure you have enough water and also keep the bottom of the faucet clear of debris or the water will not run. Not sure how long the batteries will last...looks like a pain to change them out. Too many screws! Oh my dog loves to drink out of it too!!!

The pump shaft falls out of the drive, and the shaft bushing wears quickly, even in clean water. The toy is still fun, though. The company will send a new pump as many times as I call, 2 times in a couple weeks, but they are not any better than the original pump. I am going to try to find a solar pump that is adaptable to the faucet.

I was sooo excited to find this, and sure enough, my kids loved it...for the 20 minutes until the pump stopped working. I called Step 2, and they sent out a replacement quickly. The replacement pump also failed within two weeks... When the pump did work, it was noisy and the water flow was not what I expected. Also, to replace the batteries, you have about 8 screws to undo to reach the pump.

Step 2 - PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE improve this product, I would love to have it if the pump worked better and the design was more user friendly! This would have kept my kids busy for HOURS. Also, consider adding a drain to easily remove water when play is finished. It is awkward to dump the sink.

The concept of this toy is great but the pump is weak at best. Our first pump didn't work at all [...] However, our second pump is weak at best, the water that comes out is barely a trickle. After reading some of the negative reviews about the pump[...] who informed me that the pump had been redesigned. I decided to order it because our 3 year old is constantly wanting to "do the dishes" in our kitchen sink. Delivery was quick, but when my husband put the sink together, we realized the pump did not work. When we shook it it sounded like there was something rattling inside of it. I called customer service and they were very helpful, shipped a new pump the next day and we had it within a few days. So far so good. Our son really likes it and it's great for hot summer days outside.

Perfect toy for the child who loves to play in water! Bought this for my granddaughter for her second birthday. She plays with it constantly. My two- and four-year old daughters are both enjoying this sink -- at the same time, what a pleasure! We use it in our backyard (as you need to be able to dump the water out) and then store it on our screened porch. The flowing water/sink basin is really a wonderful concept, they play with it for long stretches of time. Both children can easily play side-by-side at the basin. Worth every cent. A plug to release the water would be a suggested improvement.

I was initially hesitant due to reading reviews about the pump not working, however after calling Step 2, they stand behind their product and stated they would replace the pump if didn't work or stopped working. The perfect size for toddlers but my 9 year old son loves to play with it also. The faucet is so much fun for little kids, the pump is a bit noisy but bearable. The only downside I see is that there is no drain plug for the water so in order to clean the sink out or refresh the water you have to dump the whole sink over which is a hassle.

My son absolutely loved this play sink and it kept him entertained until the pump broke after 5 DAYS of getting it! Although I read the reviews on how the pump breaks so easily and quickly, I took my chances and hoped that ours would keep working. NOT! Our pump broke in less than a week! Children love to turn on and off things over and over. So Step2 really needs to improve the design and durability of this play sink so it can handle toddlers and preschoolers. The toy is a great idea and my girls (3 and 1) had a great time the first day. However, the next day the pump stopped working. They still play in the sink without the pump, but it's a pretty expensive tub of water without the running faucet. I have contacted Step 2 and hopefully will be receiving a replacement part.

The pump is a little loud and frightened our daughter and her friends the first few times it was turned on. It is not so loud that it detracts from the fun after the first few times. The only way to "drain" the water from the sink is to turn the sink over (it is light enough this is easy to do), or to let all the water run into a bowl which can be emptied.

The main attraction to this toy is the pump, else it's just a big sink. When the pump goes, the toy goes. My son is patient and is willing to play with just the sink but really, the pump is what makes it fun and unique. The pump stopped working after a couple weeks - within that time I think he played with it maybe 5 times.

The design is also faulty. To replace the pump battery, you basically have to unscrew and separate the entire pump from the sink - or you have to turn the entire sink upside down because it's too difficult to try to get the batteries out of the pump. Additionally, as someone noted previously, a drain hole would've been super helpful to get the water out.

They should've done some kids/parents testing and did some thoughtful redesign before putting this out on the market. Otherwise it's a great concept - my son loves it (when it's working) and it saves me money on the water bill as he used to love playing with his bathroom or kitchen sink and run the water all day. I've just asked for them to send a replacement pump - hopefully this one will last a little longer but I have a feeling I'll be calling in for replacement pump many more times.

The idea of this sink is wonderful. My daughter (3 years old)loves playing with water and can spend hours (if we let her) playing in my sink. This was a birthday present for her, which was put together on the day of her birthday party. We expected the kids that were invited to the party to play with the sink in the afternoon. After half an hour in the morning, the pump broke. The sink was put in the basement for ten days until the replacement pump came in (getting a replacement pump was not a problem at all and was free of charge). The replacement pump seems to work better. However, the construction of the sink is very inconsiderable to the outside factors, such as dirt, small sticks, and leaves that get into the sink during outside play. That clogs the passage for the water to go back up (the pump draws water from the sink area and pumps it back out). Therefore, for successful use of the sink, I needed to unscrew four screws that hold the pump in place for easy access to the pump itself to "clean" it. (I now only leave it with two screws as unscrewing two screws takes less time than all four). Sometimes, the pump makes loud noises that scare all the dogs in the neighborhood. A few kicks to the back usually help with this problem. With all the downfalls, my daughter loves playing with the sink and spends many afternoons in the backyard washing everything and everyone. I love this product but would much rather have paid a few more bucks for something that didn't require me standing on guard with a screw driver and paper towels.

I bought this for our 18 month old daughter. She loves it. She can turn the faucet on and off all by herself. She loves to watch and play with the running water. It was a little difficult to put together, but not anymore than any other toy. The only thing I really don't like about it is that there is no drain to let the water out. You have to dump the water, which isn't the easiest. Hence, the 4 stars instead of 5. I still love it, and I would recommend this to anyone with a toddler!

We were so excited when this item came into stock. We ordered it right away, as it had previously sold out quickly! Love Step 2 products -- solid and last forever. It was a snap to put together and we had it up and running in about 15 minutes. Both my 2 yo and 6 yo LOVED it. My daughter, 2, washed dishes. My son, 6, scooped water with his watering can and watered all our plants outdoors. Both enjoyed the accessories included (water wheel, cups, etc.). They were kept entertained and had no problems turning it on and off themselves, just the touch of a button). On day 2, the pump went out, making a loud grinding noise, with no water coming out of the faucet - 2 very sad faces. We are awaiting a response from customer service and I will update when we hear what they suggest.

Putting the faucet and pump unit together is most challenging and the screws are so tiny, making it difficult for those with large hands. The concept is great but the engineering is poor as the pump failed within 30 minutes of use and we had to order a replacement [...]. My little girl and I were so excited for this to arrive. It was backordered and we had to wait a long time. It finally arrived today and after putting it all together she was elated. Played with it for about 20 to 30 minutes before I heard "mama uhoh!".

The pump stopped pushing water out the faucet and was instead dribbling down the intake tube. There was no dirt, sand or debris in the tub to clog it. Just fresh clean water and brand new batteries.

I disassembled it to see if I could find the problem and made sure all the connections were tight and secure, reassembled it and turned it on. It made noise like it wanted to work but very little water made it out of the spout.

Very disappointing. Called my mother, who ordered the gift and she's calling step2 to find out what can be done about it. I would have bought the sink without the pump just because my girl loves to play with water but not for the price it is. They should drop the price by half and just sell the sinks if they can't make a pump that doesn't "suck".

I was soooo excited about this sink that I was on the wait list for it to become available, but we encountered some major issues:

1. Faucet doesn't work: I put it together and it worked great for a day. The second day, the faucet would only put out a trickle and made awful noises, then it stopped working altogether after about 30 minutes. Troubleshooting did not help.
2. No predrilled holes in the basin makes it very difficult to assemble.
3. No drain plug makes it difficult to empty

Here is what I really like about the sink:
1. The running water concept. It is great when it works! My child really enjoys being able to start it and stop it.
2. The appearance is bright and colorful without being obnoxious.
3. The toys hang off of the sink for storage. The toys are simple but fun.

We bought this for our 22 month old son who LOVES the water & hoses, etc. After a lengthy assembly we put it together & HE LOVED IT! Problem is within 1 hour the pump broke which broke our son's heart! I had to disassemble it & take it back & get new one thinking it was a defect. The sink holds lots of water and is a great design idea. I know my kids love running their fingers under a running faucet. The design of the faucet and filter system needs improvment. It doesnt take but one time for a small leaf to get into the water to clog the filter at the bottom of the faucet. Then, you have to disassemble the entire faucet fromt he sink to clear it. When I first saw this product I thought I must have it! The concept was perfect - especially for kids who like running water. [...]. When it finally arrived I put it together right away. While the assembly wasnt to difficult, I did my help with some of the screws on the bottom as there were no predrilled holes. When we finally got it working, I was a little disappointed. The flow isnt really so great, and it gets less and less and the time goes on. My child loves to splish splash in water and play with his animal figures or cars in the sink. The only draw back to this item is that you need to keep 2 1/2 to 3 gallons of water in it to play otherwise the water pump will make a loud buzzing sound and the flow of water won't be at a smooth flow.

We've tried having a sand/water table, but that is just a hot mess!! So we decided to purchase separate water table and sand table. After FINALLY tracking one of these things down, I purchased and started putting it together before the delivery man pulled out the driveway. The kids and I have been very excited to get this water table. We put it together and it worked great.....notice I said WORKED!! The pump is very touchy and intermittent. In the first 2 weeks of having the table I have completely taken the pump apart and put back together 7+ times. I called customer service and they are sending a new pump. Hopefully this will correct the problem. The kids LOVE the table and so do I when it is working. I DO NOT however love taking the pump apart over and over. Here's hoping that they come up with a better pump, because it really is a darling little table.

I bought this for my 2 yr old twins. They absolutely love it. they thnk it's
a real sink. Their brother is 4 and plays with it too. I'm very happy with
the quality and the durability. I would recommend it gladly.

This kept our almost 2 year old's attention for hours the first day, and she still loves it 3 weeks later. Much less messy than a sand & water table and the fact that the water runs through the faucet really keeps her attention. The only thing I would change is to make the batteries easier to replace...you have to unscrew several screws to get them out...just time consuming, but still worth it.

Pump broke the second day we used it. I was hoping i'd be one of the lucky ones and recieve one with a pump that would work for a long time, not a chance! My firts Step 2 purchase and most likely my last.

We have already purchased two...one for our Florida home and one for our MD home. This is by far the best gift for a Toddler little girl..she spends hours pretending to make coffee and washing dishes. Cannot wait to send this along as a gift...

The idea is great for this sink, but the pump broke after 20 minutes of working. It is quite loud as well. There should be a netting or something over the bottom of the pump for I see it getting jammed with grass - that is if it ever gets working again. They must have a lot of problems with this because they immediately said they would send out another pump. Which I got. Fingers crossed...Also, it is low to the ground. ALmost too low for my 5 year old.

We loved the toy...until the pump died. We have used it maybe 5 times. I initially purchased it because my two little girls love to run the garden hose. I figured this would allow them to play with running water without running up my water bill. It was perfect and they loved it.

I think my recommendation of this product will depend upon how easy it is to get the problem corrected. So, for now I am on the fence, but I will mark "yes" because when it was working my girls loved it.

My children (ages 4, 2, and 1) loved the idea of this sink. Running water in a sink- awesome. However, the pump is TERRIBLE. In 3 weeks we have had to have the pump replaced twice, and it has been barely used. We are now returning it. The pump needs to be redesigned to be more durable and functional. This toy is a lemon! Customer service, however, has been very courteous and nice in dealing with the return process.

My daughter loves this sink. She enjoys turning the water on and off. It is deeper than other water tables to allow for more splashing, fishing, washing dishes, etc. I bought her a water-proof apron to wear while she is playing with it. It is a good height for my 1 yr old, but I wish the legs were adjustable to make it higher for when she is older.

I purchased this product for my 3 year old grandson and he just loves playing in it especially on hot days, also his 5 year old sister loves to play in it too! We us this product on our deck and fill it up on hot days, so much fun.

My 18 month old son loves to play with water and I thought this would be great for him to play with outside for the summer. Unfortunatly the faucet broke after two days. My husband thinks he can fix it but it's a pain to take apart even to replace the batteries. You have to undo about 10 screws. Of course, my son likes to put dirt, sand etc into the sink which probably didn't help. I think the design could have been a little better and not worth the money.

I have seen this product a few times and finally purchased it tonight for our 2 year old son... actually didn't have difficulty putting it together as others have mentioned - but don't enjoy all those tiny screws... THE PUMP DOESN'T WORK and we JUST bought it. Very disappointing. Went online, read the "problems with pump" section, took the whole thing apart again, put in new batteries, put it back together again, and it still doesn't work. I think the product pump needs to be improved after reading all of these reviews. Generally speaking Step 2 is a great brand, so it seems they could have done a better job here.

Let me start by saying that I LOVE Step2 products, and that I will continue to purchase them. We bought two sinks and had trouble with the pump both times. Great idea and concept for a toy, but poor design.

Purchased one that the pump never worked on-Returned it. Purchased a second one that worked for one day... called into Step 2 and they are sending me a new pump-FABULOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Have 2 kids who love to play with it even though the pump is broken currently!

My kids (2&4) love playing with water, so we looked long and hard for a water table. We decided on this one because of the running water. I love that you don't have to hook up a hose to run water, which is their favorite part. It's a good size for 2 kids (probably add a 3rd pretty easily). The little cups and watermill that it comes with are great. We have had a little trouble with the pump, but nothing too serious so far. I also wish it had a drain--that would make cleaning it out so much easier. But overall we all love this table and would recommend it to anyone.

My 3 and 6 year old love this toy. It was easy to assemble for the most part, a few more predrilled holes would have made assembly quicker/easier. Overall, a great summer toy that leads to imaginative playtime! It's highly recommended!

This sink is so cute! My 3yo daughter loves it! Funny story...she's been potty trained since before she was 2 1/2 with very few accidents. Well, the first time we set this sink up, the water was running and she was playing nicely...then she looks up at me with this horrified look on her face...I said "what's wrong"...she said "I'm peeing!"...LOL! So parents beware! LOL!

Fun outdoor summer toy! So far this is a big hit. My 19 month old loves to play in water so he has a blast with this. The only thing I would change is that it had a drain on the bottom.

We bought this today [...] and the kids LOVE it. They are 4 and 20 months. Big enough that they can play together and it has tons of plates, dishes etc... that they can wash. The directions look overwhelming, but they are totally simple. It took me probably 6 minutes to put it together. Another great product from a trusted name Step2!
