These are great for young and old alike! They are also nice for families with babies around because the pieces are all big. I don't have to worry about my 6 month old getting hold of one on accident. And it doesn't matter if one kid "accidentally" hits another kid because they are soft. But they are also sturdy enough to stand on by young kids without anything happening to them.

These sturdy blocks hours of creative, open-ended play. My two and six year old both use the blocks to build great imaginative structures. They are soft yet durable blocks that hold thier position well and yet don't hurt when a block inevitabley gets hurled by the two year old. My two year old is beyond the "mouthing" stage so we have had no issues of peices being bitten off, however, if given to a child who still bites or "mouths" objects, chunks of the block could probably be bitten off and pose a choking hazard. As a Occupational Therapist I can assure that these blocks provide opportunity to work on fine motor skills and would also be of great use to children on the spectrum. I highly recommend these blocks for typically and atypically developing children alike. I'm so glad I found this product!

This is a great way for kids to learn to use their imaginative minds. I wished I had bought two sets so my daughter could build the blocks up higher, nonetheless they were very safe, especially when she'd try to make them fall down.

My daughter loves these blocks! She enjoys building several structures and then imitating Godzilla and knocking the "town" over. It's a great toy for children and best of all, they come with their own storage bag. I would recommend getting more than one bag, though, b/c there aren't enough blocks in one bag to really build much.

These blocks are wonderful. We got 3 sets and wish we'd gotten more. When the kids first unpacked them, they spent hours playing with them (ages 5 and 2). They still love to get them out and we keep them very accessible.

I bought these blocks for my 2 1/2 y/o Grand-Daughter to play with while visiting us. We had gotten her a set of traditional wooden blocks several months ago which is her favorite toy at her house. These blocks are not as slippery as wooden blocks, so she can use her imagination and build really tall castles now! It's the first thing that she looks for when she comes to visit us. The great thing about these blocks is that they are very light weight and don't do the kind of damage that can be caused by wooden blocks. If one of her "castles" fall down, I don't have to worry about blocks falling on her, or if she decides she wants to throw one, no harm done!

The blocks were on sale on the Step2 website. My 9 month old's daycare teacher said he enjoyed knocking down the tower they built of blocks, so I decided to buy the blocks. They're sturdy and straight enough to build high towers, and they're perfectly soft to come crashing down. I recommend getting 2 sets-- 1 is fine for tower building, but for an older child, they'll need mre. I'm a bit regretful I got the wooden ones, which aren't very colorful for a baby, but the color is fine in general.

I ordered 3 sets because I thought less would not be enough but these blocks are bigger than I thought. 2 would probably have been enough but I think it's a good toy. I think my 18 month old son is still abit young to really enjoy the blocks yet but I think he'll enjoy them a lot when he can actually build structures instead of just stacking one on top of the other the way he's doing right now.

I purchased these blocks because my almost 2 yr old grandson loves to stack things together. I have him every other weekend and he has an absolute ball building with them and then knocking them down. The last weekend, I believe he played with them jprobably 10 hrs between Sat and Sun.

I opened a new creativity studio (Averyboo Arts) and bought these blocks because I wanted to keep everything in my place "natural". They have a nice wood-look to them, but are light and quiet when they topple. They are large and, so far, all the kids have enjoyed playing with them.

At times I can have up to 10 children playing and so I ordered two sets and they are wonderful. Great for all the different ages playing at the same time. Only downfall is the younger children like to chew on and they do leave teethmarks. :) Will definitely order a couple more sets!

The blocks are perfect for gross motor development. I love that they are so quiet. Knocking buildings down is as much fun as building them (sometimes more fun!) and destruction noise can be kept at a minimum.
The carrying case is a great bonus.

I purchased these after seeing an earlier version of the same (Step2) blocks in the children's section of our local art museum. They had obviously withstood the test of repeated play there. After playing with them at the museum, my 3 1/2 year old grandson said "I like those blocks."

Step 2 takes a classic and makes it better. These blocks are soft and lighter making them safer and easier to move around. Unlike a competitors colorful soft blocks, these are sturdy and easy to stack without falling down. Priced reasonably-I wish I would have bought 2 sets.

My little guy is under a year, and while he is still too young to build the towers himself, he gets great enjoyment out of watching mom and dad stack the blocks, and then he gets to knock it down! I bought these blocks for my 17 month old. He doesn't really build much with them yet (guess he's a little young) but I build and he knocks them down. He has tried to chew on them and they are still in tact although they do show teeth marks, which is to be expcted with foam. They stack great on carpet or hard floors. He has already tried to throw a few at me or the cat and they are soft and pain free unlike wood. I like the storage bag. My only wish is that they would come in a larget set, maybe double the size. Great product!

The blocks were so realistic looking that when I gave these at Christmas the adults looked at them & thought "why would she buy wooden blocks for a toddler"? Then I told them to feel them. They were all pleasantly surprised because he tends to toss things up the air so these won't hurt if they hit him. He loves spending time alone building.

These blocks are a great product! They are sturdy and tough yet soft enough that no one gets hurt (I have 3 boys). I do recomend that you get at least 2 sets so that you have enough to really build something.

I love the way they look and feel. My 3 year old likes to build castles and knock them down. When they come crashing there is no sound or injury. My 1 year old likes to stack 2 together just to be like big brother. Very fun, and blends in well with house decor.

I run a daycare in my home and the kids love playing with these blocks. They are sturdy and they look just like wood. My son is 4 and he is always building new structures with these blocks. There are plenty in a pack and there is a mesh, zippered bag to hold them all. Excellent toy!

I real love this product because the blocks are safe.As a mother of a 6 yr.old son safety is and issue.Boys will be boys and half the fun is making the blocks fall down.I will probably buy at least 2 more set so we can build huge buildings.that would be my only complaint is the set should be bigger.

Bought these for my 2 year old grandson for Christmas and he loves them. He loves them so much that a couple of weeks later I purchased another set to keep at our house. Great for imaginative play and motor skills and best of all they are quiet and soft so that no one gets hurt when they come tumbling down which I must admit is my grandson's favorite part of building..build them up...knock them down, lol. Nice storage bag and great price.

My family loves these blocks. We all have fun building with them. My 5 year old uses them to build towns and also race tracks, and my 2 year old builds towns as well as houses for her babies. These blocks are VERY durable, but still soft enough so if someone falls on one they will not hurt.

Children love building blocks but the traditional wooden blocks pose a safety hazard with groups of young children. I had replaced all of the wooden blocks with Lego Mega Blocks but it wasn't the same. I was hesitant to order these blocks as I wasn't sure how durable they were nor the sizing for each of the blocks. [...] My intial order was for the Grand Timber Set. When they arrived I was more than pleased. The blocks are much larger than I had expected and the kids really enjoy using them. One set was adequate however after seeing how much the entire childcare enjoyed them I ordered this set to go with the first set. I am thrilled with these blocks and my only regret is that I did not purchase them sooner! We've enjoyed endless hours of creativity with these blocks.

I love them for my preschool. I recently remodeled my classroom with glossy wood floors and I was concerned with the wooden blocks constantly being knocked down. These are quiet, soft, so they do not hurt if they are thrown, and the kids love them, so do my floors!

Santa brought this for my 16 month old, but my 4 year old loves these blocks too - They play so nicely together with them! There are plenty of blocks that are just the right size for kids' hands, with a variety of shapes for building all kinds of things. I don't have to be concerned about them breaking anything or getting hurt themselves when they knock tall towers over since they're made of such a great material. We're so happy with Santa's choice in building blocks and would recommend them to anyone!
