My daughter is 14 months old and she loves it. The train set is fun for her top play with and she can easily push the button to get the train to start/stop. Only problem is the train does not stay on the track as well as I hoped but overall we love it. The bridge and train depot are easy to snap in and out for storage. The lid is fantastic to have so after she is done playing I cover it up and she can color or play on top of the train set. Fantastic.....Love it....

I am very disappointed with this product. Couldn't hardly get the legs screwed in. The train depot and the bridge have both broken, just with normal play. The train constantly jumps the tracks. I normally don't complain, but I expected more from this product. I am trying to get a refund or something~ which is sad, because this was a Christmas present for my boys.

I loved the train table at first. However after 15 days the train fell apart and so did the train station. The table itself is very rugged and they need to really look at the durability of the train and any other moving parts

Our son has been playing with his "choo-choo table" for a few months now. He's now a little over 20 months old and uses it in all kinds of ways! His 2+ Thomas the Trains fit on the track perfectly and we put the top on to color and put his GeoTrax on top of so they're eye-level for him. My hubby had the patience to assemble. All he had to do was screw the legs on. But you have to make your own holes with the twist of the screw (it was easy though). Then I was in charge of putting stickers on, which was kinda fun. This is a table that will remain in our living room for a very long time! And it's rustic-looking too so it fits the decor, if you care about that.

Forgot to mention in my previous review that this has a hazard for children under 3 listed. The table is fine for our 20 month old but we had to remove the logs and signs that came with it. Other than that this table is perfectly safe for under 3. ( in our experience ) Our son has even sat on top of it while we weren't looking (only once though) and it supported his weight without budging, sagging or breaking!!

We bought this train table for our 2 and 1/2 old grandson. He LOVES it and playes with it everyday. His mom loves it because it is molded together and no so many pieces. The wooden train it comes with is not very good quality but he uses his Thomas trains and matchbox cars.

My daughter loves trains and I wanted to get her one for Christmas, but was worried about all the track pieces getting lost around the house and/or being hard for her to put together. This train table is perfect for her. She loves the train and is able to use her matchbox cars on the track as well. It's the perfect height for her and is very durable. I have four children. They all love the product, especially the train that comes with it and is battery operated. They also play with the table using there cars. I love how durable the table is, I think the legs could have been a little stronger, some parts on the corners of them are bending, but still holding up fine, I like that it has a table top, we use that for so many other activities in our daily life. I also feel that it was priced reasonable and well worth it.

I ordered this for my 21 month old boy/girl twins for Christmas. I think it's something that can grow with them, they can both play with it at the same time, and I love the fact that it comes with a table top to use for crafts. They haven't showed too much interest in playing with it correctly yet. So far they like picking up all the trees and train signs it comes with, pulling out the train station and bridge, or throwing other toys on the tracks that don't belong. But I really think in the next few months they will start to grow into it.Overall I like the concept of having a train table, and this one came at a great price. But some of the cons I noticed so far are it's not very elaborate. Just a simple track that goes around the table. The train station and bridge don't stay in place very well, and some of the pieces seem a little flimsy. I think this serves the purpose that I got it for, and was worth the [$] I spent on it. But if price wasn't an issue, and my kids were a little older and really into trains, I'd probably look into something a little more extensive and elaborate.

The product is good and provides hours of fun for the grandkids. It would have been good if places were specified for the trees and signs. There is nothing to hold them down and keep in place. The other thing I would have liked is if the railway station and bridge did not have to be removed to place the lid. That can be a little cumbersome.

My mom got this for my 2 year old for Christmas. It is great. My little girl loves letting the train run by it's self and stopping it at the station with the lever. My daughter is 2 years old and she loves this table. I love it because the tracks are made into the table so its one less thing to keep up with and with a 2 year old you all know you already have 100 different toys that all have at least 50 different pieces to keep up with. I also like it because hotwheel cars will roll on the track along with some of the Thomas trains. All in all it is very easy to put together and the lid is a lot nicer than I expected. The simple design of this train table is great for a toddler who is not quite ready for an intricate train set. The plastic is durable and great for outdoor use. I love the table top that converts the train table into a flat surface. I also love that the tracks are attached. The only con is that the train sometimes get stuck on the bridge. I also am not a huge fan of all the trees and signs that are moveable, but my son loves making a mess with them! :)

Compared to other train products, this was the best for the money. I have a 2 1/2 year old and this has been his favorite. He plays with it several times a day. It was put together in minutes. It has just enough visual quality and comes with enough practicle pieces. I also used the Thomas motorized trains and they work great. I also put additional stickers/scenery. This train table turned out to be better then I expected. I have always gotten quality products from step2, but this one turned out to be the best one yet. We bought this as a Christmas present for my 29 month old son. He loved it!!! He did not want to open anything else Christmas morning. My six year old daughter even enjoyed playing with it. First off, its ridiculous to put together. You have to screw the legs on, but there are NO holes for the screws! I guess they assume everyone has a power drill...well we do not so it was AWFUL trying to get them on. If my son didnt want a train table so bad i would have sent it back due to that fact. Second, The train derails EVERY TIME. No matter what i do, it derails. I dont think it will be a HUGE deal because hes 3, and i think it will give him something to do when hes playing with the table. I wouldent buy it again, but think that he will like it at 3 years old and think it will last long enough for my 7 month old to get some use out of it too.

We purchased for this Christmas '09.We put together early to make certain all parts etc worked. Well needless to say I had to have my granson see it before xmas,to see if he approved. He comes every other weekend and he knew where I had hid it in my closet.He loves it. I can see that the bridge may get some brutal abuse, and dont know if it will stand. my Boys love trains and the this table seems to be most appropriate for their age. Tracks stay in place which is a huge plus, very durable, even takes the two of them climbing on top. The train that comes with the table broke after a day and the bridge snapped off, but all the Thomas trains they have work fine.
They love so I guess I do too, should last a few yrs.

We' bought this as a present for my 3 yr old nephew. Being new parents, we weren't sure what to get for him having little experience with sort of thing. We bought this for him, and he loved it. He's been playing with it nonstop. It was easy for my sister and I to put together and so far it has withstood little boys loading and unloading trains, train crashes, and the occasional train race. We're thrilled with it and my sister is thrilled that it has a lid so she doesn't have to pick up train parts all the time. The craft table feature is handy to. It gets used quite a bit.

We bought this table for our son because it was a pre-Christmas sale. He absolutely loves it and uses it with his miniture "Cars" cars... I would warn however that the bridge and station don't like to stay put and the pieces break easily... The side of the bridge snapped off and the train wheels broke. We bought this for our 9 month old daughter after she saw one at the doctor's office. Although the train, bridge and station are too fragile for her right now, the table alone is a super toy for her. She is just learning to stand and walk with the help of furniture. This table helps her in that she can play with her toys back and forth in the table so it is encouraging her walking and helping build confidence in standing. It also keeps her small toys contained, which is a great help for me.

Our son loves this train table, we bought it for him for his 2nd birthday. Product recomends 3+ yrs but its good for him!! I think it will grow with him great. He is not around alot of other kids but I think this would be good for 2 or 3 kids to play with together too. Table stands at a good height, this was super easy to put together just have your cordless screwdriver charged it has a couple screws in the legs. The lid is convienent and easy to take on and off. Only thing I wish was different was that there was some train sounds with it. The little train that came with it is soso, we got Thomas engines and some other cars. Hotwheels are fun on it too.

My son loves this train table. He has played with it, non-stop since receiving it. The train has been running about 12 hours a day so we are going through a battery a day, but it's worth it. I looked at a lot of train tables and though the wooden tables seemed more popular with others, I found the modeled track and battery operated train perfect for a 2 year old.

Assembly was simple. Train set and track didn't stand up to my day care kids. The train station and bridge broke within the first week. I would still recommend the train table and under normal children's play, not day care environment, the train set would probably last awhile. The table is virtually indestructible... and believe me, our sons have tested that statement (daily!!!). The train, however, is not so durable and already has "expired." The internal drive gears on the train are soft nylon and round-out very easily (i.e "strip") so it no longer moves under its own power, which is disappointing to four- and two-year olds (and dads). Otherwise, the table is a great source of enjoyment for our sons and it encourages a wide range of imaginative play.

My 2 year old son got this for Christmas. I love the molded tracks. We had looked for a train set for our son and when I saw this one I loved the fact that there were no tracks to keep up with (very helpful with a toddler). I only wish the bridge fit better. We have to help the train across the bridge most of the time. The train seems to use alot of batteries also to be such a little train. And some say they use Thomas trains on the track but I can't get Thomas to fit the track without getting stuck in the turns and he won't fit the bridge. But for the money I am pleased with the table. Disappointed, I own many Step2 products(and love them) but this is by far my least favorite, and the only one I have problems with. It is impossible for the Train Station and Bridge to snap into or stay in place properly, as though molding/alignment is not correct. Table legs are properly attatched but end up being crooked/tilt inward, however they still support table properly. Trees/Signs are nice, but with little arms reaching and playing they fall into track(would be helpful to be able to attatch them). The little train is probably the best part, even though it can't run on the track much because of the bridge/station not fitting, my son plays with it on the floor and chases it around.

We got this for my 3 year-old daughter for Christmas and she loves it. She thought it was going to be a dollhouse, but was so excited about having her own train table she was definitely NOT disappointed! She was so happy to play with it that she ignored all of her other presents. Plus her older sister (age 9) loved it, too! It was very easy to set up in a few minutes. The train engine isn't the strongest, but it does work fine. It only takes 1 battery and is easy for her to turn on and off.
We think it was a great buy for the price. We only wish that she would leave the train on the table instead of letting it run all over the house!
The table-top accessory is great also. We don't even use it on the table, just as a flat surface on the floor for puzzles and drawing.
The fact that it does not have any major removable pieces (which would make it unusable) is a great plus. And they have added their own little animals and toys for scenery.

My 2 1/2 year old loves the table. His train pieces from Thomas and the ones that come with the table do well on the tracks. The only downside I've seen so far is that the train station and bridge attachments do not fit in the grooves very well. The train doesn't seem to go over those areas without assistance from the conductor!

My son loves this and it is great that we don't have to worry about removable tracks. The molded tracks was the main reason I bought this. My only complaint is the battery life of the train.....we have to change the battery daily and we have only had it for two weeks!

My 2 year old grandson rec'd this for Christmas and loves it. He likes to stop the train and release the logs. The logs don't fall where the car for catching them stops but he's okay with that, he picks them up and puts them in. This is a fun toy. The train runs good on the track. It gets stuck once in a while but only needs a finger push or help from another engine approaching behind it (we put Thomas train engines on this track too).

My two year old son got this train table for Christmas. He loves to play with it for hours at a time. It works great with Thomas the Train & Friends, Matchbox Cars and Hotwheel Cars. It also, has the lid cover which is nice to use for coloring. The only con is that the bridge and train depot are not very stable. They do not stay attached to the table very well and my two year old can remove them.

Grandson is a little young for this product yet and needs alot of supervision with it, we had to take the smaller pieces up for now, however we have tons of fun building with either Mega Blocks
or ABC Blocks on top of it and it is a wonderful way for him to learn, we play cars, Finger Paint,

This was a great first table for my 3 year old son, that likes to take everything apart. The track is molded, so we'll never lose it! The station and bridge are removeable, but we can find them easily. I also thought the train that was included was wonderful, I think it ran all day on Christmas. The coolest part is that he can put other trains or cars on the tracks and they fit.

This was our grandson's Christmas gift. It was a HUGE hit. Best part is the durability because even though he is 2 and somewhat small, he is all boy and very rough. Would reccommend this to anyone.

Great product, except for the bridge & train station. The track does not snap in properly in both places, train will not stay on track. The trees and signs should have a place to snap on table to stay in place while you are playing with it. It works much better with hot wheels & Thomas the train items. The table top was chipped on one area and I am sure will cause problems down the road. I have purchased Step 2 products in the past and this is the only one that I have had trouble with.

The train runs smoothly around the track, however it is very easy for the child to pull up the bridge and station to let the train fall off the track . Suggestion would be to make a solid track for the age that this product complies to.

This train set is great for our 2 year old son because of the molded tracks. He has been having a great time playing with it. The only drawback to the lid is that you have to remove the train's bridge and train station in order to use the lid.

The table is great. My three year old grandson plays with it everyday with his Thomas trains and Hot Wheel cars and the train that came with it. Only drawback is when you take the bridge and buildings off, they are hard to snap back on and you have to take them off in order to put the lid on it to use as a table.

We bought this for our 3 1/2 yr. old for Christmas. He loves it. It fits nicely in the corner of our living room. Our son uses it every day. He loves running his cars and trains on the trails. received in excellent time/condition - easy to assemble / twin boys aged 3 loved it and played very constructively. Both bridge and station can move slightly during play and need to be re-sited by an adult. Trees and signs very easily knocked over - a semi sticky base would be useful for these. Bought more trains so that boys didn't fight over the one supplied which was very good and since battery operated we got play instantly. The ones we bought were push along and boys less interested. con - when tightening legs noticed the plastic going white along the creases - suspect this indicates a weak spot but certainly good value for money.

My child loves the table. He will play with it for hours and when he is not using the train we put the lid on the table and he will sit and color at the table. I read reviews about the train not pulling itself around the table but ours works great. It will even run through some of the trees and signs when my child knocks them onto the tracks. The only issue I have is that the bridge and the train station don't fit into the plastic molded table perfectly. I have to twist and turn them to get them to fit correctly, something my child cannot do at the his age (1.5 years old). I would certainly recommend this product.

The kids love the train table and that's all that matters, however the only complaint that I have is that the leg design/construction is poor. You have to drill holes into the plastic to stabalize the legs. But, the price was right and so, it works for this family!

We got this for my 18 month old for Christmas and I am pretty disappointed. The train it came with is pretty sad really. Has a hard time making it around. The bridge and train depot building don't like sitting flat in their place flush to the track. I am glad hot wheels fit well, that is a plus since the train is useless. The next day we put the lid on and set his main street village on it and that has worked out much better.

We got this for our two boys for Christmas. They are 1 and 2 years old. They both love it. It is not to big for their room and lite enought to move around to clean. I love the lid it keeps them out of it during nap time. This is so much better and more affordable than the wooden table that we bought for our older son. I highly recomend this product. Make sure to stock up on the batteries. They go fast.

I loved this set when I saw it, I thought it would be perfect for my 2 yr old since he could not pull off any of the tracks and it's size. We gave it to him for Christmas expecting a happy toddler who would play with it for hours like the other rewiwers but he just turns on the train and plays with the wheels. The only con I saw to it is the the train gets stuck on several spots and needs help.

We gave this to our twins for their second birthday and it is played with for hours at a time. It is the first toy that they do that with. We had it out at their party and kids from 18 mths - 7 were enjoying it for hours.
The only negative was the assembly. It isn't as easy nor does it seem as durable of construction as we would have hoped, but for the price I guess that is what you expect. I didn't like having to drill screws into plastic where there wasn't a marking or whole. Make sure you have an electric drill.
Bottom line, it is a good toy for what you pay. It has been a month and it has held up well.

We put this together yesterday on my son's third birthday. He absolutely LOVES this toy! When he woke up this morning, the first words out of his mouth were "I gotta go play with my train"! The train engine is strong enough to push his matchbox cars around the track, and he gets a big kick out of that. I have no problems with the train station and bridge popping out of place like I saw in other reviews of this toy. The only cons are that the forklift that came with the train is too wide to fit on the track, if it was narrower the engine could push it along. Also, the lid that came with the table was cracked and would probably be too much trouble to ship back and get a new one. I also thought it would be plastic and it is pressboard. Overall, I am very pleased with this toy.

Half my child's room furniture and toys were puchased at Step2, so it was no surprise when my niece turned five last month I went straight to Step2 website. I have had my eye on that train set since Christmas but didn't think my niece had any room for it. I took the chance and bought it for her birthday anyway. I am so glad I did everyday she spend atleast 30 minutes playing with it. My daughter also plays with it everyday. She adds other small toys, her little ponies rides the trains and she also adds different trains from other train sets. It is an added touch to have the cover for arts and crafts but honestly it is rarely used in my house.

This is a good buy for a train table. Because it has a lid it becomes a 2 in 1 toy (always nice) and has room under to store more toys. It is very light waight so my toddlers can push it around. I don't know if thats good or bad. I also cought one of them sitting inside the table so I know it will hold at least 40 lbs. Some of the accesories are cheap but if you want real strong pieces you have to buy wood.Over all we are pleased and my kids love it and after all that is why I bought it. I love step 2 products we have a ton of them and always come back for more.

My son is 5, we got this for his birthday. He has loved trains since he was 2 and this just seemed to be something he'd use with all the different trains he now has. It came with a train that he thinks is almost as good as his Thomas trains but now quite. LOL

The only problem we have with it is that the switch on the station piece fell apart the first day, we could put it together a few times but then one little piece of plastic broke off and it now won't work. However, my son doesn't care all that much about it so we are going to just leave it be.

The train table is being used in a learning environment for toddlers and pre-schoolers. There is plenty of play area on and around the train table. It also can be closed when play time is over and the table top can be used for other activities.

This is a great concept. We love that there is no track. The bridge and Station don't sit well but work fine. Our's didn't come with the lid, that would have been really nice! The gears in the train strip easily and now it won't pull both cars. Bridge broke early on, and we have had it only two months. Glad I got it on sale!

My son is two and can't get enough of play time with the train table. I like how it does not actually have a track to where he has to line the wheels of the train to the track to make it go. You just place the train in the molded track portion and hit the button. The log dispenser and the stop/go funtion is also very easy for my son to use. It's a great investment!

She also loves to make puzzles and work with art supplies and playdoh so the table's size worked out terrific for us. We liked the idea of the tracks being attatched, however the bridge and station remove very easily, and have not been where they should be since we set it up. It seems like it will be durable and stand up to 2 boys under 3 years old which is nice. I understand that things have to move to put the cover on, it's just kind of a pain to put that stuff back on all the time. But overall I think it will be nice and they will both enjoy it.

I didn't "get it"! The bridge and log-loading station really are poor quality plastic-I'm nervous about my 3 yr old breaking them! I thought the other parents might just be too picky...nope! My son did play with it for an hour, but no one could play with him, due to small size. The extra pieces (trees, signs, etc) as well as the train itself are also poor quality plastic. I hope they won't be broken before the New Year is here!! I really did expect more from Step2. I trusted their name to represent high quality. What a disappointment.

My kids (2.5 - 7) love it! Particularly my 2.5 year old - he uses the train, although it falls apart on him sometimes (the "tops" snap on the bottoms of the cars, but snap off fairly easily), but also hot wheels cars. The building and bridge don't exactly snap tight into the table, so it just seems a little cheap, I guess. Just not quite the quality I was hoping for.

The kids have an absolute ball with it. The only fallback I've found is the bridge and station don't seat in there very well and the kids are always getting frustrated with them "popping" out.
