The instructions were easy to understand but often caused for the use of brute force. I am a woman and it was difficult to "stomp" certain connections together. I had to lay the structure down and use my full body weight to connect some pieces. The illustrations even showed a large foot with a combat boot demonstrating assembly. I do feel my little one does need to develop/age into more appropriate use (14months at time of receipt) but she does spend time on the climber and it does facilitate play/interactions with an older sibling.

We live in Northern New Jersey and it's getting a bit cold outside for daily visits to the park and other fun activities. I decided to get this for my very active 18 month-old. It's fantastic. He loves it, and it's great for those rainy day playdates. I would recommend getting a mat for underneath if you're using it indoors as we are. It really doesn't take up that much space and it's worth it for the hours of joy. We'll probably move it into the backyard once the weather heats up again.

We bought this for our almost 18-month-old daughter. She has been playing with it since the first day we assembled it. Especially when winter and raining season is coming, it's good to know that she can play indoors with this safely and happily. As a petite woman, I found it needed too much strenth to assemble it, and I had to ask my hubby to help me step on it or push it. Other than that, it was easy to assemble the parts. One little complaint: How come the basketball is so much smaller than the soccor ball? The soccor ball is too big in proportion and cannot go through the basketball hoop.

I had ordered this as a present for my one year old Godson. He doesn't have the ability to use all features but I purchased this for something for him to grow into. He laughs so hard sliding down the slide. He can play with the balls and with assitance, can climb the side. He has so much fun and will eventually be able to use all the features. My 15 month old received this as a Christmas gift and played with it for a few weeks. 8 months later, he will only play with the slide when prompted, otherwise he ignores it. Stairs or a ladder would be easier to climb as he has trouble getting his shoes in the holes. The slide is very sturdy and he does like the basketball goal.

I bought this product for my 18 month old son who has discovered all the joys of climbing. He loved it for the first week. He kept climbing up the wall, going down the slide and would occasionally put the balls through the hoop.

Unfortunately, a month later, he's completely bored with it. In fact, he won't play with it at all. He is still playing with other toys we bought him at the same time, however.

For the price, I think this toy is a bust.

I have this product in my livingroom, ready for my 2 year old granddaughter to play on when she's over. She LOVES it. It's very safe with the walls up on the landing, so she's unable to fall off it. I bought this for my son's first birthday, hoping it is something that will grow with him. I am very pleased with my purchase. He isn't able to use the basketball hoop or football hole yet, but that is something to look forward to. He is able to climb and use the slide and he also loves to crawl underneath it. I do think it will be great as he gets older and can do more. My 3.5 year old daughter also loves it. It appears to be just a bit wobbly when she is standing on it, but it is just as safe in my opinion. Great product!

This is a great toy for any pre-school child. The climber is colorful, and made of a sturdy plastic. The balls that were included provide alot of fun for children also, especially the basketball and the net. The only thing that I would have preferred would be steps to go up, rather than holes to climb up. Children could get their shoes caught in the holes.

I bought this for my older daughter for her 2nd birthday. I loved some of the bigger options on the market, but I didn't want to sink $300+ into one when I knew she'd be getting a wooden swing set for the next bday. It's been nearly a year and she still uses this almost every day. Mind you, it's not so interesting that she could play on it for hours, but she likes it, it's very easy to assemble (I was about 6.5 mos pregnant when I put it together without any difficulty), and it's compact enough that you can use it indoors- we keep it in a corner in her room (great for rainy days). It's also pretty light, so it's no problem moving it to clean or reorganize. If you're looking for a cute climber/slide for your kid, but don't want to go overboard on size or price, this is a good choice.

My only real complaint is that the kids like to stick their heads out of the hole on the red panel side which causes it to rock a little.

My eleven month old loves this climber - it encourages him to practice climbing, sliding, creeping, and even making baskets. He feels like such a big man when he climbs the rock wall to the platform and stands up waving! Only tiny con is that that few areas that needed screws had their pilot holes drilled crooked - we had to horse on it a little to get the whole thing to fit together properly, although, now that it is together, it has been very sturdy.

I am so happy that I purchased this product! I have been researching slides for my 18 month old, and settled on this one because of the size and the other activities attached. She loves it! It is the perfect size for her, but I can easily see her being able to use this until she is 3 or 4. She loves the little basketball hoop, too.

My only complaint is that the bottom brace bar was REALLY difficult to get into place. It requires a lot more brute force than I could give it. All the other pieces were easy to get into place.

There is really nothing wrong with the all sports climber. Keeps my boy very occupied and busy for hours. We bought this for our 16 month daughter and can I tell you it took no time for her to figure out how to climb up and then slide down. It entertained her for hours - seriously. She cried when we told her she had to go "night night". We set it up Easter Day inside and used it indoors for about 2 weeks until it was warmer out. Now it's outside and she still loves it. This is tha longest slide that I found. She actually slides down and quickly too - it's funny to see her face smile and giggle. Most slides are short and the kids don't get much of a "slide" but this one is by far the best. Assembly does require some strength to push the tabs into their slots. Other than that, pretty easy. My 8 year old loves it too. Of course the slide is way to small but she loves to stand up on the platform and "peek" over at other yards. EXCELLENT!

The best thing about our climber is that its not so bulky that you cant take it anywhere. My 22 month old daughter loves it!! In fact, several of the kids in the neighborhood around her age love coming over to play on it. I'm so glad I waited and ordered it, instead of buying something else at the store. It will last longer (age-wise) then the other at the store. The only thing is I would assemble it a bit differently (to make it easier) and the hoop won't stay attached. We had to find another way to make that work.

My 23 month old son adored the climber from the time he saw it. He started to climb/slide it as soon as he could. Fits nicely in our condominium & in our little common backyard. My son is not yet 2 and we just got this All-Star Sports Climber for him. He truly loves EVERYTHING about it! If it's not "Slide, Slide" it's "Hoop, Hoop" or "Kick, Kick" for soccer, or "blue football". He loves sports and loves to slide and this product is right on target for him. We keep the 'climber outside and it is extremely portable so we can move it to different areas of the yard. I was worried about the safty after reading some of the reviews, but this is a very sturdy piece of equipment. Just make sure it is snapped together correctly! The only downside is that the basketball hoop has a very small opening and thick rim, which makes it very difficult to shoot baskets from any distance. Along with making the hoop opening a little wider, I would suggest that the manufacturer use streamers or something hanging from the rim (I assume a net may be deemed unsafe). My son has hit his head on the hard plastic that substitutes as a net when he stands up underneath the hoop after retrieving a ball. The plastic "net" hangs down just above eye-level to him, so he doesn't see it and consequently bumps his head on it all the time. Once he shakes that off, he is off and climbing, sliding, and kicking goals!

My 14 month old twin boys love this climber. It took them a few weeks to figure out how to climb up and then sit down on the slide. At first they liked climbing and standing at the top, not realizing they couldn't just walk off. Now they climb and slide over and over again. It tires them out for those days we need to spend indoors. They also like to crawl through the soccer spot and throw things through the basket. Well worth the money. Only con was assembly, I had to really "muscle" the slide and climber wall in. I'm sure it would have been much easier for my husband.

I bought this for my granddaughter about a year or so ago so she would have something to play with at my house. I keep it inside but will take it outside if she wants to play out there. She absolutely loves it. She was not quite 2 at the time, but had no problems with anything. I would definitely recommend this to everyone who has small boys & girls.

The sports climber was a perfect choice of gift for my grandson's 2nd birthday. His Dad had absolutely NO problem assemblying it. So far my grandson is using it indoors, but it will be used outdoors when the weather is warmer. He absolutely loves the various activities on it. He especially loves the climbing and the slide, which is very safe. He enjoys throwing the ball into the hoop too. I must say that it keeps him active and well occupied for a long time considering his age. Also, he seems to love playing in the box with his dad. NO WASTE! Great toy. My one concern is when my child stands on it and leans over the side... the toy is a bit more wobbly than I would have guessed. I prop it against a wall and use a chair on the other side, I don't want it to tip when my curious child is playing on it. Otherwise, its a fun toy and used daily.

Bought the product for my grandson's first birthday. Even though it says for 2 and up, my grandson loves it. He has mastered the climbing wall and is working on sitting and sliding, right now it's backwards on tummy. I would recommend it to anybody with an active child.

My daughter loves this item! She has a slide to play with at her daycare and I wanted something for her to play with at home. She learned quickly how to climb up and loves to slide down the slide. Easy to assemble, just snap the pieces together with a little body weight and then a few screws for added safety. Just a little sway to it, but sturdy for small kids. My 17m old son loves it!

My son loves it. Me on the other hand... not so much. Im actually kinda scared when he plays on it and I sit and watch him like a hawk. When we got it, it was missing the bottom assembly bar thing so I called the company and it was here before we knew it. No complaints or anything, which is a BIG + for me [that a company really responds and helps]
Well, since we put that bottom bar on (I had to use a rubber hammer to knock it into place cause I just couldnt get it to snap in) it seems like it is bowed out. Like the bottom is wider than the top, which makes it a little unstable. Also, the big hole on the side is kinda dangerous with it being bowed like that and my boy, being the brave little man he is, has tipped it twice. The first time I thought he was climbing on it, the second I just couldnt get over to him fast enough. Put a pretty carpet burn on his head lol. [I havent seen him stick his head through there like that since...] He does love it and throws a fit if he sees it outside in the yard and not on the deck or inside, so I still let him play with it. The making of it could have been stronger but its really cute and fun. Just stay close and watch out about the tipping over thing...

I bought this for inside use for my 2 kids, ages 2 & 1. They love it & it doesn't take up as much space as others. It is very sturdy and I have no concerns about it tipping over or them falling. The only drawback was assembly for me. I am 5'2" and 110lbs. and it was hard to put together & if you don't screw the final screws in properly the sides tend to tilt in slightly from the top. Otherwise it is a great slide and my kids love it.

This is a great toy for using indoors during winter and doesn't take up as much room as you think it would. Is easy for our 17 month old to climb and slide down by himself. Only complaint I have is the assembly. No matter how hard we try, we can't get the bottom support rail to click in.

We love this climber and so does our 13 mo old! When he figured out he could climb on things around our home we decided it was time to purchase something he could safely climb on. It took him an afternoon to figure out how to climb up and a little longer to work up the nerve to slide down by himself. He now does the whole process on his own and loves it! He can just reach the basketball hoop and really likes that. We have it in his room right now, but plan on moving it outside when the weather gets nicer. I have no complaints about this climber. I put it together mostly by myself - just needed a little husband muscle. We're very happy with it. A great buy!

I loved this climber. I purchased this climber for my 15 month old son for Christmas. He loves to climb on our stairs, furniture and anything he can get up on. I wanted to find something that would keep him entertained and distracted from climbing on the furniture. On Christmas morning his eyes lit up when he saw the climber. He began smiling and took off and up the rock wall he went. He thought it was the best thing. We couldn't get him off it. He loves the slide and of course climbing up it and the rock wall. He also just loves standing on the platform. He really enjoys rolling balls down the slide and his cars. My husband and I think it was a great purchase. It was really easy to assemble...thank goodness because we waited until Christmas Eve and it took 15 minutes.. if that. We bought this for my 12 month old little boy for Christmas this year and it has been a big hit! He learned to climb the rock wall by himself after having help only a handful of times. He can climb, turn around, and slide down all by himself. And he loves to push balls (included) down the slide too. We use it indoors with a play mat under it for now but plan to move it outdoors in the spring. It's great for a one year old...with close supervision, of course. Definitely worth the money!

This is very compact and we set it up in our living room on Christmas morning. Our 15-month old has only been walking for a month, but he has no trouble getting up the "rock wall" and down the slide. It's the perfect size for him and our yard/living area. We are using our own football and soccer ball since the sports balls included are inflatable and don't have much weight to them.

Very colorful product. Our toddler grandson enjoys playing with the basketball feature. (Finally, a basket he can reach!) While the angle of the slide prohibits him from reaching the bottom without stopping, he doesn't seem to mind, and just lifts his legs to complete the trip!

I have 1-1/2 year old triplets that love to climb on everything that they're not supposed to, so this is a great way to divert their attention to positive climbing. We set this up downstairs in our basement to make a playroom for our 15 month old son. He loves it! It's easy for him to climb and he enjoys doing it all by himself. We put down foam flooring to help cushion the fall when he decides to jump off the slide rather than sit and go down, which I suggest if you set this up in your home. We like this product a lot- we would get it again!

I have several Step 2 toys and climbers and chose this item for my youngest Grandson based on the quality I thought their products had. However I am very disappointed in the design and flimsy nature of this climber. It can easily be tipped over by a child under 2 years simply by rocking on the platform. I will have to purchase something else and don't know what to do with this one as I can't even give it away with a clear conscience. I think Step 2 needs to re-evaluate the design and safety of this product
