Comments about Step2 Canopy Wagon:

I purchased this wagon for my granddaughter's 3rd birthday and had it shipped to her home. My unhandy son put it together without problem. When we were shopping for a wagon, it by far seemed the sturdiest with many great features. Our past experience with the Step 2 Co. made us confident of many happy years, with many grandchildren, using the wagon. Thanks, Step2!

Comments about Step2 Canopy Wagon:

I do love this wagon. It is very sturdy and durable. My son is madly in love with it. When inside he will sit and pretend he's riding and outside on walks he's in toddler heaven. It was a gift for his first birthday and one year later he still loves it. The only thing is it's a little heavy. We live in a hilly neighborhood and it gives Mommy quite a workout. But on flat spaces it's not bad. Hope to try it out at the Zoo this year since it will fit in the trunk if I pop the top off and flip the handle under - I think. Great buy and I would recommend it.

With two small children we use the wagon for many outings. It's perfect for trips to the zoo or the park or just a walk through the neighborhood. The canopy provides shade on a long day at the zoo or it removes easily for a quick ride. The seatbelts keep my youngest safely seated. I love the cup holders for me and the in seat storage. We will enjoy this wagon for many years.

It took my son 15 minutes to assemble the wagon. We bought it for our grandson. he can keep his toys in it while he is here and we park it in the corner. I like that the handle is long so it is easy for me to pull around (the handle extends high and you won't pull your back out). I love the strap that extends around his waist. Maybe they could make some type of a harness for extra safety on a toddler.

Comments about Step2 Canopy Wagon:

I love the canopy to shield against the sun and the extra storage space. I had a little trouble putting the wheels together. I banged a little too hard and the plastic part popped off. Also, I have a tendency to move the wagon by grabbing the canopy which causes it to pop out easily. But, all in all, this is a great wagon to take your little one(s) to the park and store some snacks for along the way.

Comments about Step2 Canopy Wagon:

Recently bought this wagon for my 2 year old daughter since she now hates sitting in her stroller. We take long walks daily in our neighborhood and she absolutely loves sitting in the wagon! Wagon was easy to put together and maneuvers very easily over bumps, ramps and turns like a charm. It also has great storage for my cell phone and my daughter's snacks and cup. It's very roomy and she is able to fit her many dolls inside with no problem. Only complaint I have, other than my sore arms from pulling it, is I wish it had a door. It's not hard to lift my child in and out of wagon but it can be a pain and I do sometimes bump her head on the canopy if I'm not paying close attention!! But canopy was the reason I purchased this wagon and it does give good protection from the sun.

We use this on our trips to Sea World. We have season passes, my son is too big for a stroller, but too small to walk thru the park all day. Bottom Line:

Comments about Step2 Canopy Wagon:

I love all of the storage space. I am concerned that the safety belt with tear through the plastic if my daughter pulls against it too much...hopefully she learns to stay seated quickly. I thought it was just the one I recv'd, but I had them send a 2nd one and had the same issue. I wish the tires were rubber and the weight limit was higher like some other wagons. I also would like for it to have a longer handle. Even with all of the above mentioned...I still like the wagon. The storage under the seat and on the canopy is what compelled me to buy thIS wagon and is the reason I'm keeping it.

Comments about Step2 Canopy Wagon:

My 17 month-old son loves his wagon & I love the canopy. He keeps his toys & snacks in the under-the-seat storage & his cup in his built-in cup holder. I have room for my drink, keys & wallet on top of the canopy that (more importantly) protects him from the sun. The only prob we have is that he likes to touch the wheels... I'm sure he'll grow out of that though. I do wish that Step 2 would make a Tag Along Trailer for this wagon. (NOTE: One person who reviewed the product was told by a customer service rep that the current green Tag Along Trailer should fit it; I haven't tried to do this myself).

Step2 Response: Thank you for taking the time to fill out the product review. The Tag Along Trailer is not compatible with this wagon.

Comments about Step2 Canopy Wagon:

I was looking at the Safari Wagon for a long time, it had a door for safe entry and a hookup for the extra trailer, which were FANTABULOUS. My son was just a newborn so I made the mistake of not buying one then, thinking that it would still be available.
The new Canopy Wagon is missing key features.. no door and no extra trailer hook-up. These are key parts that made the previous model so much better. Please BRING BACK THE SAFARI WAGON ... also add an insert for laying child(ren) down.

Comments about Step2 Canopy Wagon:

We love this wagon! It's easy to put together and very durable. We love the fact that we can wash it with a garden hose when we need to and there is no chance of rust.

Our grandtwins just turned 1 and we purchased the wagon for their birthday. Every day they ride in the wagon for at least 45 minutes. The handle is long enough so you don't have to bend down and exert too much effort. Before the wagon we walked them in their stroller. They like the wagon better than the stroller and do stay put when the wagon is moving. Some how they know not to wiggle out of their seatbelt and try to get out.

The only thing we did find that was an issue is our granddaughter tries to touch the wheels so you have to watch that.

We will definitely consider Step 2 products in the future for our outdoor play needs.

This wagon is not even better than the old model. Step2 must have decided the other one cost too much to make? The other one was better for steering, and it had a door! Who would take the door away when it has a canopy? With a canopy and no door, my daughter bumps her head getting in and out of this wagon. Its too bad the old model is discontinued! For my grandkids, I am so disappointed that the Safari Wagon was discontinued. This wagon is not what the Safari was. Inferior to that wagon, I don't know what the marketers for Step 2 were thinking when they took the Safari off the market. This is not the same; if you are going to replace it, do so with a better one. This color is too wild also. Disappointed in a usually excellent line of toy.

Comments about Step2 Canopy Wagon:

I am so disappointed! I started “researching” wagons several months ago. I had my heart set on purchasing the Safari Wagon and tag-a-long trailer for my son’s first birthday. I don’t understand why it has been discontinued. While the Canopy Wagon is similar (and still of the great Step 2 quality), it does not have a door and therefore more difficult to enter/exit. Additionally, the tag-a-long trailer is not compatible. To the decision makers at Step 2 ~ Please, please, please bring back the Safari Wagon!!! Soon! Thank you for you time!

Step2 Response: Thank you for your comments. We are sorry you are not completely satisfied with the Canopy Wagon. We have forwarded your comments to our R&D Dept and Executive Staff.

I was really looking for the safari wagon that has the door and ability to attach tag-a-long for extra storage. I don't know why they decided to discontinue. Overall, this is a great wagon, just not exactly what I was looking for.

Comments about Step2 Canopy Wagon:

I am actually looking for the Step 2 Willow Green Safari wagon that has the door that opens. I like this wagon because of the canopy and the ability to keep my child out of the sun, but I think it will not be as easy to get my child in and out without the door.

Comments about Step2 Canopy Wagon:

I am looking to purchase a wagon. A great comment that was left that I found useful was about no door to get their child out if you use the canopy. Isn't the canopy the whole point of why you purchased it verses an uncanopied wagon. So wouldn't it make sense to offer AGAIN a wagon with a door for easier access to get children in and out without hitting one's head on the canopy. Very disappointed the Safari wagon is no longer offered.

Comments about Step2 Canopy Wagon:

I purchased the Step2 Canopy Wagon for my two-year-old twin granddaughters for their second birthday. Their grandfather, PeePee, put it together and said it was easy to assemble and well made. After birthday cake, when it was present time, the girls climbed in their wagon and would not get out. Even though it was dark outside, I, MeMe, had to take them for a long ride up and down the sidewalk while all the family came outside to watch, wave at the happy birthday riders and try to take pictures of them in the dark. Whether it is pushed or pulled, the wagon remains sturdy and maneuvers very easily. Because of its heavy-duty plastic exterior, it will be easy to clean. This was an excellent gift for my little twin granddaughters and for their mother, my daughter, because they love to go for long walks. The wagon's canopy will be helpful at the zoo, fairs, carnivals, etc. My daughter really liked the cup holders for their water bottles and she loved the canopy storage and seat storage so she will have a place to hide her billfold and keys. Everyone is happy with this purchase, especially the twins; therefore, it was a good gift and investment.

The canopy is great, I love the cup holders and the handle is actually long enough to were I am not killing my back. This thing is also pretty sturdy, my 8 and 11 yr old clown around and also climb in sometimes and so far so good

Comments about Step2 Canopy Wagon:

We bought this wagon for our granddaughter on her 2nd birthday. We then used it when we took her to Holiday World. It was so much better than a stroller! She was shaded from the sun, had storage for her snacks, Pull-Ups, baby wipes, a place for her tippy cup, and room for a "friend"...which will be filled next month when her baby sister arrives! It will be used at home to play with and for all future trips to zoos, outdoor festivals, and vacations.

Comments about Step2 Canopy Wagon:

I bought one of these for my grnadaughter about 10 years ago only with no top. It was used when I bought it but it has lasted through 10 years and 3 kids. It now needs to be replaced. My 3 year old grand daughter loves it and the other 2 still use it once in a while also and they are 8 and 10. It has been used for a wagon, a bed, a stroller and a grocery cart. They have hauled the dog, the cat, thier doll and stuffed animals, and all thier friends. They love the door. The 3 year old likes to store things so the under seat storage will be perfect. The cup holders are a nice touch, the kids always have a water bottle with them. It is just the best wagon ever.

Comments about Step2 Canopy Wagon:

Everything about this wagon is great with one major exception - it has no door which has proved to be necessary if you're using the canopy! Our toddler is unable to get in and out of this without help which can be very frustrating at this age. You basically have to lift her over the wagon while trying not to smack her head on the canopy. The Safari Wagon is a tad more expensive but worth the door!
