After much searching on-line for a wagon to send to my two-year-old grandchild, I viewed "The Safari"--a wagon that is adorable and functional. My daughter put it together so I know it is "easy to assemble". Also, the two year old was able to pull the wagon loaded with stuff animals all by herself!

Love Love this wagon! Be aware that this wagon will not fit into car trunk even with removing the canopy & the way the economy is going I don't plan on purchasing a larger vehicle any time soon....If you already have a truck or SUV I would highly recommend this! The other thing is that I wish the seats could fold down so your child could lay flat and take a nap...but over all..I still love this wagon!

I love that this wagon has cup holders. I thought that it only had two on top for the person pulling the wagon, but there are also two more cup holders inside the wagon for the kids' drinks too. I also love how much leg room is in this wagon. It will be several years before my kids outgrow it.

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

We purchased The Safari Wagon for our two Grandaughters. This wagon is plenty big enough for them to ride in comfort without being cramped up.One Granddaughter is still in diapers and takes formula;so we have to have extra space for all that we have to carry along.I love this wagon because it's easy to operate safely without tilting over and I can store my purse and their extras under the seats. The hard top will keep them from getting wet and sunburn.I shopped around and checked out all the wagons before I made a purchase. The side door is convenient for them to step in and out of without having to lift them. The seatbelts are safe and durable to hold them in place. This is one of the biggest and most durable quality wagons we found and will probably be around for many, many years to come.

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

This green Safari wagon has much quieter wheels than the red version from the same company. It seems sturdy and expect it will last some time. My daughter goes crazy over it.

The first step involves driving the axel into an end-cap (that eventually holds the wheel on). It is waaaay too easy to drive it too far into the end-cap and not have enough room left on the axel to get the end-cap on the other side. Close-up graphics of the washers on the axels would have helped too (missed a pair).

Enjoy

We just got this wagon as a gift for our 18 month old for Christmas. It's all wrapped up, but I assembled it myself with no problem. It did arrive missing one small peice, and when I contacted customer service, they gave me no problems and even overnighted the peice to me so it would be ready for the holiday. Since it's winter, it will stay inside, but I know my tot will love it; he is a big fan of having his own little place to play with his things. The wagon is awesome, I pulled it around the family room - no problems steering and not heavy at all. Love it and am super satisfied with my purchase!

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

After careful deliberation looking at many wagons on the internet and shopping at many stores, my wife and I decided on the Safari Wagon. We bought this for our first Grandaughter who is 10 months old. My Son & Daughter-in-law said it was easy to put together. We thought our Grandaughter might be to young to handle this wagon but she does just fine in it. She hangs on to the roof supports and the seat side panels and seat belts keep her in the wagon. My Son called us on their first ride to let us hear our Grndaughter jabbering away while enjoying the ride. They said she cried when the ride ended. We couldn't be happier with our decision to purchase your wagon instead of one of the many other choices.

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

Overal this wagon is great. I chose it because it had a sturdy, removable canopy and a latching door for the children. I would still choose this wagon again over other wagons. But, I was a bit disspointed that the design will be hard to use for gardening. Unlike other models, there are no flipping seat covers to make a flat bed for moving plants. Other than that it is great. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the handle folded under for transfer in my car. I would buy this wagon again, given a choice.

We bought this for our 2 year old and love it. We have used it for Trick or Treating, a trip to the zoo and neighborhood walks. It is sturdy and handles very well. Love that it has seat belts! Love the covered storage compartment and cup holders on top of the canopy for my stuff. Love the willow green-so much better than some of the loud colors on some other wagons! O.K. now for the issues-- The door could be better. I like that it has one because it's so much safer. My son literally fell out of his former wagon onto the pavement while climbing out. But the door is really hard to open and close.[...]

bought for our first granddaughter's 1st B-day.
She loves it so much that I couldn't get her to come out of it (for 1 1/2 hours). She loves the roof over it, plus it kept her covered from her first sunny day ride. Plan on buying the added set for x-mas. It took a little time to get use to the front wheels (in turning). We had a different wagon for our girls when they were young. But I do love the way the wagon moves/turns (once I got use to it). I even find it easier than the wagon we had for our girls.
The only thing was, when putting together, parts didn't match up to wagon and the front wheel bar but did figure a way to set it up.
Down fall, sleepy baby unable to lye down.

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

I researched wagons for about a month before deciding on the Safari Wagon. I have a son and a nephew that is 3 months younger then him. They both love it. I live on a dirt road and it pulls so easiely over the rocks. I have no problem pulling it myself w/ both of them in it.(they are 30lbs and 26lbs) We took it on an all day outdoor trip and packed the seat compartment w/ their diapers and wipes. They loved having their own cup holders and loved that they could interact w/ eachother vs being in a double stroller. I love the fact that i can buckle them in and not worry about having someone snatching them out. I love having the comparment on top. Of course you dont want to have a drink w/o a lid on top. I have a Saturn Vue and to get it in all i do is pop the top off and the bars that hold the top, lay them in wagon and put it in the car. I am not a big person (5'2) and I can do by myself. The only thing that gets kinda annoying w/ it is when my son opens the door. Someone always has to walk back there b/c I am afraid he will open into someone's legs. I assume thats just a 2yr old thing. Overall, I would def. recommend this wagon to everyone!! Its great....I get sooooooo many compliments on it.

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

I compared wagons on-line for months and went back and forth between the Step 2 Safari Wagon and the Radio Flyer (“RF”) Wagons. I read several online reviews and one concern was that the Safari wagon was hard to maneuver, which we did not find to be true at all. I like the idea of the RF wagon seats folding-up incase your child falls asleep, but you cannot safely pull the wagon with your child sleeping or they could fall out. I was a bit frustrated because I could not find the Safari wagon in stores anywhere; however the RF wagons were everywhere. Honestly, everywhere we went, we always spotted someone with a Radio Flyer, which helped make our decision. We opted for the Step 2 Safari for the following reasons. The hard plastic canopy was much more durable than the RF canopy; many people commented that the RF canopy ripped very easily and was a bit costly considering the poor durability. The adult drink holders and key compartment are a definitely plus. The door is a must; as our child is able to get in and out of the wagon on his own, which he enjoys. Lastly, there seems to be more space for the kids and more storage in this wagon compared to the RF, especially if you purchase the tag-along trailer – great option. Overall, the look of this wagon is much different than all the other wagons and is well worth the purchase.

We have found that the kids love it so much that we also use it on walks to the park and we have even wheeled it inside and the kids just love playing in it, opening and closing the door and getting in and out of it. It's really fantastic!

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

I had a few complications with the front wheels wanting to turn. The washers they sent for the bottom side of the axle, had too big of a hole. I actually had to throw them away and get two more precise washers, and it is working fine now. My daughter loves it and we take one of our friends babies too. They have a wonderful time. The seatbelts are a positive. The canopy on top, which is removable, is an extreme plus when going for a quick mid-day ride in the neighborhood.

I just wish we were able to "push" it as well as pull it.

We shopped around for the "perfect wagon" for my nephew's first birthday. This one was it! It has a canopy to help keep him shaded, storage underneath a seat, seatbelts, room for two, cup holders for the parents, sturdy & thick wheels that turn with ease, and a decorative look, too! It was very easy to assemble and the parents get a lot of use out of it!

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

We have mostly just used it to go for walks so far, but my little guy(14 months) has really liked his wagon. However, the door is not childproof and we have to put him on the other seat to stop him from opening it over and over. We were unable to take it on our first zoo trip because we couldn't fit it in the back of our small SUV with the stroller that we also needed to take. Otherwise, we love it. We really like the storage on top which is why we got it over the Radio Flyer with the nylon canopy. Its quiet, nice looking, and so easy to put together my son even got to help Dad with it.!

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

I bought this to use instead of a stroller when we go to places like the zoo, park, nursing home, shopping, etc. I wasn't quite prepared for how big it was. It won't turn easy so it isn't for use in small corridors, libraries, etc. I drive a Yukon and it takes a large portion of the back of my truck without the last row of seats in it.

I like how the handle folds under but I sure would not recommend lifting the wagon for an older person. I am used to carrying two infant carriers and this wagon is still a little heavy for me.

Lot more assembly than I imagined. The door doesn't stay shut very well. There were also MANY defects in the exterior part of the wagon (deep gashes) that I guess came from when it was manufactured. It isn't as easy to pull as I thought it would be. I try pushing it more (so I can actually see my children) but the wheels get turned.

Overall, though, my children love it and I guess that is what really counts! I hope that I learn to love it too. I really don't want to tell my husband how disappointed I was after telling how much we just had to have it. :)

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

We visit the zoo often and with our 3 year old getting too big for a stroller we chose to buy something that will work for 2 kids since we have a 3 month old. I wanted something that's easy to clean and will not require that I lift them in and out. I also wanted to make sure to keep them out of direct sunlight since it gets pretty hot in Houston so I needed a durable canopy rather than the cloth canopy. This is great. The only problem I foresee is the ability for a child to sleep in it. My 3 year old is 45 pounds and if he was to fall asleep during a zoo or Disney trip, we'd have to cayy him because of the way the seats are. They don't fold out to make it flat.

This thing is wonderful.......we wanted this wagon to put our children in and take them on walks but not wear them out. We have a great trail system here in our town and we love walking on it. We also frequent Magic Springs theme park and Crystal Falls water park in Hot Springs, AR and decided to take it for them there. This thing worked out amazingly......both my 6 yr old daughter and my 2 yr old son got in it and rode without any complaints. It's real hilly at the theme park and this thing pulled without any problems. Even loaded down with 90 lbs worth of kids and another 20 pounds of towels and stuff this thing pulled great. We got comments from everyone about how nice this wagon is and they wish they made one for adults. With the storage this thing has we even saved money from not having to get a locker to put our towels and stuff in. I can't say enough about this wagon.......drink holders for the kids and adults where full of drinks all day long. The Safari wagon made our trip just that much better and we hope to use it again and again.......

We recently purchased for my 2 year old son. We took this wagon to a little league game and the top doubled as a table for the adults to set their soda and hotdogs. We did a lot of research on wagons before deciding on this one. We are SO happy that we bought this one. Love that there is a canopy but REALLY love the fact that it's a hard top! The storage on top is great, as is the extra storage in the seat. Also love the seatbelts. Our 13-month old can easily get in and out, but it's great that there is also a sliding lock. He's also learned how to use the cup holder and to open and close the door. This wagon is great and we are having so much fun with it. Great job, Step 2!

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

I really was looking forward to getting this wagon. I did tons of research and looked at LOTS of wagons. My thinking was go big and get the best. I took the few negatives with a grain of salt and thought I made the best decision and waited very anxiously for our wagon. I needed something to take my 1 year old daughter back and forth to the pool in and for zoo trips etc...
The wagon came rather fast, but what was so disapointed was that it was missing so many pieces :-( I had a fit for my husband to put it to gether and when he came up and said it was missing the seat belts, wheel things and stuff for the canopy I was so upset. I actually told him to look harder b/c that could not be. Well anyway it was a friday and Step 2 is closed, but I left a message that was returned on Tuesday, not great but not awful. We had the parts in about 3 days just before we were leaving for vacation. It is very handy, we pack it up full, Paige loves it and sits in it very nicely. It is hard to turn and sometimes I worry I could flip it but in general I am happy. I think maybe we got a refurbished one or something it has a scratch on it which is no big deal but b/c it was missing stuff.....I wonder. We also got the trailer which is a nice little addition especially for the beach trips :-) All in all a good purchase just hit some bumps. I hope it lasts for years, but I am not so sure.
Good Luck!

We walk 5 miles to get our exercise but to also go swimming with our cousins in their lake and the wagon gives the baby more room than a stroller, plus it keeps the sun off of him, where the stroller still did not cover his entire body and he would still get a little too red. We also got the pull cart and it carries the extras with having 4 children, snacks, towels, drinks, and whatever else we need for the day. We all love this product!!!

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

We bought this for our daughters 1st birthday and she loves it....It is easy to pull around on grass or pavement....The handle is long enough so you don't have to bend over to pull it, it has cup holders and a place for your cell phone and keys, and the canopy keeps her out of the sun....The only thing that I would love to see them change is how the door works, is not easy to open/shut....I would buy this again & I would also recommend it to my friends....

This product works great. I used the product for a trip to an amusement park and it was perfect. Continuously, received comments on the look of the wagon. Only downfall, is my 17 month old fell asleep and we had to make a bed by covering the center of the wagon because it doesn't make a flat surface.

We love this wagon. My 2 year old enjoys his wagon rides and likes to pull it as well. It was very easy to put together I did it myself in 20-30 min.s. The door needs a good push to close but that's a minor problem. We still love it. We took it to the park the first day and had no problems or complaints with it.looking foward to taking it to the zoo and more outings.

Our daughter loves this wagon - she can't get enough of it!! And we love it, too. It is sturdy, comfortable for her, and great for us (with the cupholders and compartment in the canopy). The door gives easy access in and out when the canopy is in use, and the seat belts are a good safety feature. Can't wait to use it next year when our newborn is old enough to ride in it with his sister. Highly recommend it.

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

We haven't had this wagon long but so far so good. We have 2 radio flyer wagons that were gifts from grandparents that are great wagons but so far I like the safari better. I think the radio flyer all terrian is more rugged but lacks all the great features. I have a very tall 3 year old he is 43 inches tall and in a sz 13.5 shoe(he is very tall and thin)!! I also have a 1 year old who is pretty average I think he is 33 inches tall in a sz 7 shoe. They both fit pretty good right now I think by the end of the summer my 3 year old might be to tall for the canopy which was one of the reasons I wanted this wagon. I do wish they would come out with some taller polls to extend the height of the canopy. The foot space is on the smaller side but so far no complaints. I think if they made the wagon bigger we would be complaing that it's too big to transport. I could have bought the radio flyer canopy but with my 3 year old being so tall and there are no seats in the radoi flyer just the flat bed I can see him takeing up too much space and getting squirmy during long rides. We took the radio flyer to the fair last fall and it was all right but it started raining and they got soaked. We took his cousin who was 6 but not too much bigger than my son. It was a pain because we had to pick them up to get them in and out. So far the boys love getting in and out by themselves but right now I can't seem to get them out of it....even when just giving them a ride around the back yard. The door does need some improvement. I don't think the lactch is difficult the door just seems uneven and you have to lift it and slame it shut...not that big of deal though I would rather do that than be lifting my 43lb 3 year in and out and my 23lb 1 year old. The other plus is that this wagon had the most weight capacity. We are looking forward to the parks, fireworks, zoo, beach and all the places we go his summer with our new wagon. The only con is the wheels do seem cheap. I did get the tag along trailer but havne't used it yet. A HUGE HIT WITH THE KIDOS SO FAR!! I LOVE the cup holders and the extra storage huge plus. Radio Flyer does have a cooler that attaches and that would be great if step 2 would come out with one and some pads for the seat like radio flyer has. The seats are hard plastic and will probaly be uncomfortable for long rides. I bought the cushion system for both my radio flyers and the cooler. Accessorys for the step 2 like that would be great. I am not sure lugging the tag along will fly with my hubby. It is pretty long with it on. It might draw a little too much attention. I hope that helps. I am happy I spent the money on it even if my 3 year old only lasts this summer in it.

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

I have only been using this wagon for one day, but my son cannot get enough. It's light enough that he can pull it himself, but tough enough to handle rough areas on our farm. The directions are easy, and assembly took less than an hour. The only problem that I have with it is that the door does not close easily. But, a little extra push and it works just fine. We will use this wagon around the farm, and taking walks, and I couldn't ask for a better fit for our needs.

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

I purchased this from the step 2 store the day before our trip to the Zoo. It worked wonders and it was even raining that day. I had alot of concern about issues regarding wheels, but this has a weight limit of 130 pounds unlike other wagon models. I'm not having any problems with the door as mentioned below, and everything seemed to be good with the wagon. However the plastic wasn't trimmed all the way when coming off the mold press, and there were some holes in the plastic that had surfaced I noticed along with heavy scratching :/ I can't complain tho because I know this model is discontinued. The leg room IS NOT very big, but it was suitable for our trip to the zoo. I have a very large four year old, and an eighteen month old. The seating worked out fine, and altho the leg wells are deep they aren't very wide, therefore foot fights can occur. I don't really see the top as being "flimsy" I don't think it would be a good idea to place any heavier of a plastic above a childs head in case it would happen to fall, altho it IS very sturdy. The seatbelts are also a great idea if you have a squirmy kid like mine! All in all it was a good buy, and I am pleased.

I like the seatbelt feature and the canopy is the best. I have room to put my keys, cell phone and a drink in the top and still have extra room. I do love this product. It is great to pull, easy to use, fun for the kids. I own the trailer which is wonderful for storage.
I found that the foot space was lacking. I usually use this product for two 2 year olds. They kick each other and step on each others toes.
The door is hard to close but we give it a little kick and it is good to go.
When recommending this product I do warn people of the foot space issue.

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

We just purchased this for our daughter's first birthday. My husband put it together immediately after bringing it home. No prolems in assembly. The weather has gotten colder so we haven't taken her out in it yet, but took her around the garage and she loves it. I put a stuffed animal in it with her, so she has "someone" across from her to look at. I had considered the Radio Flyer and am so glad I chose this one. My first purchase was the Whisper Ride Buggy and we get compliments everytime we go out with it. My daughter loves it and gets so excited when I put her in it. I see the same thing happening with the Safari Wagon.
Thanks, Step 2, for making such innovative products to keep our little ones happy!!!

The Safari Wagon was such a hit at our granddaughter's birthday party. The younger children all wanted rides, while a designated older child pulled them around the yard. The wagon will be perfect for our two grandchildren, who are a year apart in age. The only "con" we could mention is that the door latch is a little difficult, though very secure when the door is closed.

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

We got this wagon in green as a gift for a friend , and bought a radio flyer wagon with a canopy for our daughter at the same time. After assembling both, we realized that the radio flyer's canopy was very flimsy and the wagon didn't have a cool door for the kids to open and close to be able to climb in and out of the wagon by themselves. The step 2 wagon is also very easy to fold down for trips in the car, and easy to assemble again. So, we returned the radio flyer and bought the safari wagon in red for our daughter instead. She's 9mos old and already loves riding around in it, and we love the parent console, and hard top good for sun-shade and holds up well in wind, and turns very smoothly. We did break one of the caps during assembly (our own fault- it says right in the instructions to not hammer too hard or it will go right through, and we did by accident), but luckily it came with an extra cap. we can't wait to have a second child to share in the rides, but for now, we will enjoy taking other friends along. we also have the step 2 push buggy and our daughter loves it as well. we are very happy with step 2 products so far! worth every penny- just a warning, though about leaving these products out in the rain- we left the buggy out in the rain, and the water seeped into the hollow parts of the buggy, but these products are built with drain holes, so all we had to do was unplug the holes and let it drain, but i would store them in the garage to avoid the hassle next time.

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

The Safari Wagon from Step2 is great! My 2 year old grand daughter loves it. She just sits in it and plays. The wagon has storage and cup holders even for the parents. The only problems that I have found with the wagon is the cover top is not adequately secured and the door is hard to open. When I move the wagon sometimes the top pops up. Otherwise the Safari wagon is the best purchase that I have made for my grand daughters.

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

Ever since this arrived my kids haven't stopped playing with it. Bringing it in the house, and seeing the American Flag on the side of the box was such a nice feeling! That was a HUGE plus for both me and my husband. We have had it for about five days now. Its built pretty tough, and the canopy is just so cute. It has some great features as well. The cup holders for both the kids, and parents is awesome. I have a four year old, and a one year old. This is going to come in handy for our spring/summer activities. I can't wait to take it on our camping trips. This wagon is one of the best things we have bought for them in a long time. We as parents are completely pleased with the product, and the kids are thrilled with it as well. Love the door that opens, and closes. My one year old, soon to be two can open, and close it herself! This was such a GREAT buy for us!

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

If you are looking for a wagon this is the one (trust me I checked them all out). My kids got this for Christmas and we still have it in our living room because they love playing in it so much. It has nice tires that allow for a smooth, quiet ride, and it is so easy to manuver. It has "seat belts" and a lock on the door that the kids can't open, so I don't have to worry about them jumping out. It folds down nicely to easily fit in my vehicle (it is actually easier to put in the car than my double stoller, and takes up the same amount of room-if not less believe it or not). It is so easy to clean, and it has lots of storage for mom and kids. Plus is has a cover to protect the little ones from the weather. We love this wagon!

Cons:
Low Roof
Best Uses:

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

My grandchildren loved it! The adults loved it! We took it to the zoo and the kids could see everything and we could keep track of them! The only negative thing is the roof is kind of low - one grandson is a LARGE 4 year old and I can see him quickly outgrowning the roof which was a main feature in my decision to buy this particular wagon. Lots of other grandparents asked me where I got the great wagon from.

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

I´m from Brazil and I came across this wagon on the internet.I looked up and I found 1 place that sells this wagon here in BR. I went crazy about it.I have no complaints, but I do have suggestions.1st Canopy supporters should be a bit higher, cause my 3 year old daughter is really tall and soon we won´t be able to use the canopy anymore and I still have a 2 year old son that will be really tall by the end of next year. And I also would like to ask STEP 2 for an idea to make supporters higher. 2nd The wagon should have some kind of breaks for locking the tires. 3rd internal space a bit bigger cause I know there will be foot fights. 4th door should function better .Ohter than that...IM IN LOOOOVE WITH THE SAFARI WAGON

This is about the 5th Step 2 Product we've purchased. They are durable and reliable, ONCE you get them put together. Instructions need improvement. The Safari wagon is great for trips to the zoo or the mall. It has storage, beverage cups, a place for parents to put their "stuff" on top. Especially good if you have two toddlers.

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

This wagon is so fun for the kids to ride in and everywhere we go people make comments on how great this wagon is!! Obviously it looks a little different than your average wagon and it definitely catches everyone's eye. The best feature is that it has seatbelts for the sqirmy ones and that it is able to add the trailer on the back for an additional third rider. The only thing I can say so far that I am not so happy about is the plastic on the top piece of the wagon is really flimsy and not the hard plastic I am used to wit Step 2 products. Also, it is a little difficult to turn (seems stiff).

I bought this wagon for my granddaughter for Easter when she was only 18 months old. She is now 2 and I can honestly say she loves "her wagon"!! We are able to disassemble it easily enough to place it in the trunk of our car when we take her to the Zoo and reassemble it easily when we get there. We also purchased the trailor as an accessory and found that we can't live without it! It holds an extra bag of cloths and a cooler for our outings. What a great product!

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

My Hubby and I asked for this wagon for our son for Christmas when he was only 8 months old. We wanted it even then!! Well now he's 18 months old an we take it everywhere. He loves it!!
The only problem we had was the w/ seat backs on it would not fit in our car's trunk. We were devestated. However instead of screwing the seat belts all the way through we bought shorter bolts and just attatched them to the front wall of the seats after making a couple of bore holes in the back w/ a drill (you can't see them when the wagon is assembled). The poles keep everthing in place and locked down so is was still safe for us. Now we just take the seats off like everything else and we're good to go!!

*Note our solution is of my husband and I's own making and not endorsed or reccomended by Step 2...I just want to give people alternative ideas.

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

This is a wonderful wagon. We were leary of spending this much on a wagon, but in the end it is by far the most used "kid" item we have owned, thus far. We purchased this item [...] when our son had just turned two and our daugther was just 10 months old. Even at this age, the seatbelts held her in and I was able to take both kids to the zoo, the park, the mall, or a walk around the neighborhood, etc with ease. We actually switched out the bolt in the handle so that we can take it off easily and the wagon and canopy fit into the back or trunk of any vehicle. It is hard having two little ones so close in age, but this wagon has honestly made it easier. Once we bought it we litterally packed up the double stroller and it went to storage never to be seen again. I assume that this wagon will bring us years of use. Super durable, lots of storage compared to other wagons, canopy is great for hot days, and it even fits into a large bathroom stall! This is truly the Lexus of all wagons. Now that I know how great it is, the price was well worth. Truth be told, if something happened to our wagon, I would pay double for a replacement!

After having the wagon for 3 months, the only door does not close properly, all the way.
Our granddaughter is now only 20 lbs and is the only child riding, using the wagon.
We have tried to get the door to close but have not and therefore is not safe because she wants to close the door and has pinched her fingers in between the door and the body of the wagon.

We used this product at the zoo and it worked well. It was raining the day we went and it really kept my kiddos from getting soaked. Their feet don't yet reach the ground, so that is a con, but they seemed to enjoy it being different from a stroller. The seats don't recline like a stroller, but they did seem to stay much cooler because the air could flow through the wagon freely.

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

This wagon is wonderful. I'm a mother of b/g twins and was looking for something that would provide shade. This is the only one I came across that has a top on it. It's very sturdy and my son and daughter love riding in it. However, with the both of them in there, it can be a little difficult to pull for an extended period of time. Usually one of us will push it from the back and the other will pull it and then we switch. It would be better if the wheels were rubber, for a smoother and quieter ride. I discovered that my diet coke had spilled all over the top because of the bumps. You can only put a drink in the holder if it has a cap or lid.

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

My 2 year old daughter absolutely loves this wagon and I love it, too! I love the canopy and the holders on top for my keys, cellphone and a bottle of water. She loves the idea of opening the storage compartment under the seat to hold her favorite toys and opening and closing the little door to get in and out.:) I would recommend this to anyone.:)

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

I ordered this product from [...]. [...]. It was easy for me to assemble by myself with hardly any tools. My two little girls 1 and 3 absolutely love it. It is big enough for them to actually move around inside and has plenty of room for their legs, but it can still break down easily and fit perfectly in the trunk of my COROLLA!!! Also the seat belts make it so safe to use for any child who is old enough to walk. It makes our trips to the zoo and everywhere else so enjoyable. Not only is it great for the kids, but it has features for me too! Like the storage under the seat, cup holders and it is light and easy to manuever! And to top it all off, the canopy protects my angels from the sun and heat!! I just wish they made one my size! lol

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

I would just like to say that I love Step Two products and The Safari Wagon is great as in every time I use it in public I get many compliments on how great it is. However, what they don't know is that I have to keep two wrenches in my car because if I want to take it somewhere I have to completely disasemble it. I drive an SUV. In fact I drive the very same car that is pictured with the wagon fully assembled (minus the handle) and mine most definatley does not fit. [...] But as I said it is a great product, The under the seat storage is great! My kids LOVE it! Which makes me happy. I also bought the Party Time kitchen right as it came out and it was perfect. Thanks.

Comments about Step2 Safari Wagon:

I bought this wagon for my great niece. Even though she is only a couple of months old this wagon will get plenty of use this spring and summer. Her Mom, my niece, remembers her wagon that my Mom and Dad bought for her and how much fun she had with it. So, we know that Ashley will have just as much if not more fun. I also bought the trailer for extra room for 'stuff'

I love the design! My daughter loves it. I think she thinks it's an outdoor couch! She'll sit in there and play! We took it to a car show this weekend, worked wonderful! My daughter,2, and niece,2 1/2, colored, played with blocks, etc. had plenty of room. We adults had plenty of storage for our drinks and jackets! I highly recommend this wagon.
You can even take the top off so it can fit into a SUV or large trunk although, it is easist to haul in truck.
