Seems to work great. Only complaint is the chime volume is very loud even set on low. It plays a short melody that lasts about 5-7sec. Well worth the money!

Our condominium has mail boxes next to each other on a post. While my neighbors have this product, the transmitters do not conflict with each other. My "MailMinder" signals my receiver only and my neighbor's signal theirs. No Conflicts! This is excellent and demonstrates the quality of this product.

The adhesive on the transponder does not stick well enough, had to use a stronger adhesive to get the sending unit to stay on door.

This Item was so easy to intall and the best part of it is that it is quite a step saver. I love it most when I am expecting something special in the mail. Great unit. My mail box is 140 ft. away so I know when mail has arrived.
The sticky tape when hot lets the unit on mail box door fall off, so I used double sided automotive tape from W-Mart to stick it on, never fell off any more.
sound is VERY LOUD even in low position, so I took a piece of tape & put over the grill to help lower the sounds.

I bought this for my mother-in-law. She is elderly and would wait to check the mail until it was almost dark so she wouldn't have to make repeated trips. The mailbox is about 100' from the house. The notifier gets a very good signal and works great!

My father died not long ago and he had a homemade flip-flag on the mail-box. He had the mail-box in a curve and too close to the road, and it kept getting hit by traffic. My mother was use to a signal when mail was in the box and I wanted to make her a unseen signal. The cost of this would have been close to [$] and the range would have been a gamble along with things that may block the signal. I ordered the MailMinder because of all the great feed-back and the price of the product. My mother's mail-box is metal and about 150ft. from her kitchen where she seems to spend most of her time. The MailMinder works very well at that distance, and the sticky tape is doing just fine also. This is a gift that our parents or elderly friends can appreciate six days a week. I am 100% pleased of this product and wish I could give this to every elderly person there is.

My boys love racing to the device to turn it off whent he mail comes. We have a brick mailbox and no flag to alert when the mail arrives, so i thought i would try this and i'm very happy. I really like how it only chimes once then blinks in case the boys are sleeping.

Works perfectly! No more going to the mailbox many times a day only to find that the mail hasn't arrived yet. Well worth the price - could prevent a nasty fall on the ice or snow as you know for sure that the mail is here and to take the time to put on the proper snow shoes in bad weather. This mail box alarm works perfectly. Easy to install and the distant where it was put from the mail box to the house is 100 feet and there were trees in between mail box and house and still worked. Highly recommend this item. Sure saves many trips to the mail box to check for mail.

I bought this product for 2 reasons: First, for its intended use of letting us know when the mail is here (we have a 200-foot walk to mailbox), and, second, to allow my husband to signal me when he is returning from walking the dog twice a day so I don't have to sit and watch out the window. Sadie is in training and has always been on a leash. When they make the turn up the driveway after their walk, my husband will let her go and I will stand on the porch and clap my hands and call her so she can get a little running in. She has never strayed off into the woods, probably because she knows her breakfast or dinner is waiting!

My elderly parents live in a rural area where they must go out the front door, down a series of steps and across the road to reach their mail box. The mail minder alerts them when the mailbox has been opened and eliminates trips to the mailbox "to see if the mailman was here yet"

The Mail Minder has worked everytime in notifying me that my mail was delivered. The music IS a little loud, even when turned to "low" volume, but it's not a big problem. I like mine so much that I just ordered one for my mom.

I purchased the Step2 Mail Master Mailbox and thought the Mail Minder would be a great addition to our new mailbox. I WAS RIGHT!! If the Mail box itself was the best purchase I made for the year, then the Mail Minder would have to be the second best. First of all the assembly was so quick & easy. Whenever the mailbox door is opened, we here a very audible chiming to let us know. Even if we're not around to hear the original chime notification, there's a red light that continues to blink so that you know the mail was delivered. This product was WELL WORTH the money. [...]

Since we cannot see our curbside mailbox from the house, and since we all are advised to no longer raise flags denoting outgoing mail, the MailMinder is an indispensable tool for us and for most of our neighbors. Eliminates useless trips to the mailbox in deep snow- just what I needed! I have a Step2 plastic mailbox and bought the version specifically for this kind of mailbox- it is better than the universal model type because the transmitter is secured not only by double sticky tape but also set screws- very easy to install and transmitter cannot fall off! Original transmitter was defective (battery clips did not line up causing transmitter to not work when battery cover installed). Step2 promptly sent a replacement!!

I REALLY LIKE THIS ONE, MY PRESCHOOLER LOOVES GETTING THE MAIL SO INSTEAD OF HER WAITING BY THE WINDOW, I BOUGHT THIS WITH OUR NEW MAILBOX. IT FITS GREAT NO PROBLEMS. EXCEPT THAT IT ONLY CARRIES ONE SONG. IT WOULD BE NICE IF IT HAD OPTIONS. PLUS THE VOLUME HAS A HIGH AND LOW, BUT THERE ISNT MUCH DIFFERENCE, ITS AS LOUD AS OUR DOORBELL! NO PROBLEMS WITH RESETTING IT EITHER.

I'm a stay at home mom who LOVES this product!!! I hate running out to the mail box to see if the mail has come yet. & trying to plan a trip to the mail box around my babies sleep schedule. Now, the short & pleasent chime notifies me when the mail has come. Also, if we didn't hear it or we weren't home, the red light flashes until we reset it. It has totally freed up my time running to and from the mail box! YAY! Plus, it's nice to be the FIRST one out to the mailbox! ;)

I read the reviews of others, prepared to elimate any of the instalation glitches a few others encountered by having extra strong 2 sided tape and a small thin phillips screwdriver. The mail alert installed easy, works great in testing, a very good value [...] We have other motion alert devices installed that the mail mail alert does not seem to interfere with, we were hoping for that extra big plus benefit. When I bought this I didn't even think about the Security issue. But 2 weeks after purchase, it went off in the morning (and the mail doesn't come till noon), I looked outside to see a man that had stolen my outgoing mail. I got a description and contacted the police. It's great to know if anyone opens your mailbox!

My mailbox is about 200 feet from the house and with no obstructions chimes perfectly. I just wish I could turn off the chime and just use the red light as a notifier. I think the chime is too loud, when someone might be asleep. My husband works shifts so he sleeps during the day.

The device signals us when the mail carrier has come. This saves this retired senior citizen many unnecessary steps to the mail box.
My wife likes the Fur Elise signal and the looks of the device.
Most of all, it works perfectly--every time.
Will buy more for Christmas presents!

Installed in minutes and never fails to notify us when the mail arrives. Never false activates. Range is 100' to our mailbox. After using double stick tape I did put some soft pliable putty around the unit to insure that it will stay in place (coax antenna seal). You can't go wrong with this unit and will save you from checking your mailbox frequently on days when the mail is delayed!

As a disabled person, the MailMinder let's me know not only that mail has arrived, but also that I may need to move towards the front door to sign for packages!!!
ALL my shopping is done on the internet and this unit allows me to catch the mailman on his first visit when a signature is required.

I bought this for my elderly father. One of the highlights of his day is the arrival of the mail. He now waits for the tune and doesn't waste his strength trudging back and forth to the mailbox only to find it empty. He has even bought a spare and our mail-lady is recommending it to other rural customers like Dad.

Works perfect with the mailbox we bought from you. Color is exactly the same and installed inside the lid so nice. Love the notification - the little red light could blind someone, though! hahahaha

I gave this as a gift to my mother, aunt, and great aunt, all who are widowed and live in the mid-west. It so nice that they now know when their mail has arrived before walking out to the box in the cold slick winter conditions.
The pieces look much larger in pictures than they really are. It's nice that they are so small and discrete.
The only thing I wish is that the signal went further. My mailbox is about 450-500 feet from my house, and it just won't reach that far.
