We have had this since before Hurricane Erin (1995) and it is a champ!
Best thing since sliced bread for garden and yard clean up, especially after storms here in Florida. It tolerates the sun and heat and holds LOTS of branches, clippings etc. when cleaning up.
The wheels have finally given up so will be calling for replacements.
This has outlived two other brand named, sturdy trashcans. Every homeowner should get one and consider it a good long term investment!
I would like to buy another, but it has been difficult to find locally.

As a family of 8, we generate (unfortunately) a LOT of trash! These garbage cans have been a great help as our children trade off the chore of hauling them to the curb. No problems and even our 8 year old can manage all 3 of our cans. The only issue we had, mainly because of rough waste management workers, is that our lids are all cracked. I assume that we can get replacements and look forward to getting them to keep the raccoons out! I wish we'd found these sooner.

Purchased two Big 60's eleven years ago. Have survived in Florida sun. Quaility exceeds competitors like Rubbermaid. Customer services cannnot be beat.

We inherited this Big 60 with the house we bought, and it is so impressive that I believed it was an industrial grade can the trash company had supplied. We don't know how old it is, but we've had it 5 years and it holds up to the Arizona sun. Finally needed a wheel and lid straps and I was shocked to learn Step 2 sells parts (at ridiculously cheap prices).

This trash can is wonderful. We have owned it for about 5 years and the wheels finally wore out and we called Step 2 for replacement parts and they were wonderful. The wheels and shaft with shipping were under $10.00. Awsome!

with time the garbage man can break the handle and throw the cover in the middle of the street for cars to break it.

i bought this amazing can about 4 months ago, It has done away with pesky racoon invasions and dumping dogs.I am horrified to learn that my municipality finds it toooo big, lol, what a bunch of whining babies. I have to get two small ones that will blow over in the wind. I would definitly recomend this to friends and family as long as they do not live in Equimalt bc

At the First Congregational Church, we've used this as our main transport of full trash bags to the dumpster. After 7 years of rolling across slate floors and uneven concrete parking lots, the wheels finally split. They were replaced (very inexpensively) and we're rolling again!

These units are extremely sturdy and durable. I have owned mine (qty. 3) for twenty years and they have held up very well. The only issue I have is the hold down straps break too soon and the replacement straps are a hair too short once installed.
